Eric Brown was laying in a open feild near his farm in western PA. He soon started hearing strange sounds, he Sat up and looked around to see if he could see anything. "Huh, nothing. I wonder if it's in the woods."

Standing up he nearly fell onto his face, when he was with his friends he had all kinds of emotions but when finally alone he would sigh and remember all the horrible pains from his childhood. He liked to read to be with other people in another world. He wasn't tall only 5'4'' He had shoulder length curly red hair, that he wore in a pony tail holder that his ex-girlfriend got him. He felt hopeless. No one in this world would ever look at him the way the women in his books looked at their men.

He chuckled as he remembered his books, while walking closer to the sound. When he saw the source he couldn't believe it. IT was a whirlpool in the earth. He cocked his head to the side and the took a few steps over before tripping into it......

Nevaeh Alie was lying on the roof of her small hideaway her air-bike leaning against the dust covered wall. She had flown to the outer zone of her home city, Kross, at noon to watch the sun set behind the mountains that spooned the west side of the city and to escape the news of her soon to be marriage to the next city’s son. The same city that was just on the other side of the blacken mountains. She jumped up to stand on the roof, “WHY DID YOU PICK ME?” at the now black land.

She looked down at herself. Her riding gear was covered in the dust that was all around her. Her father, Xadrian, always told her that she look like her mother. Pale, short hair, long and thin limbs, light gray eyes the only thing Nevaeh received from Xadrian. She was shorter than most girls of this time 5’3.

A soft beeping was coming from the inside of the shack. It beeped for minutes and with each passing minute the beeping became faster and louder. Nevaeh push back one of the lose roof panels; there lay on the sandy floor was a forgotten tech box. It had I small red little blinking at the same pace and the beeping.

Nevaeh jumped from the roof and on to her air-bike. It was never a good sign when forgotten tech was activated. The last time a piece of the tech was set off two of the largest cities in south terra were wiped out like a hand brushing sand off a table.

Just as she got a klick away the tech went off. The blast sent the bike’s system on a frizz making Nevaeh fall off her bike. She buried her face in her elbow as a large, bright light, moved over the land eating up anything in its way stopping just a few feet away from the girl had fallen.

Eric screamed as he fell to through the strange place into another landing on something hard, Earth. He lay there unmoving not sure whether he was concious or not.

Nevaeh peeked out from her elbow; she could not see far the dust still hung in the air like a think mist.
She got to her hands and knees. She slide her hands over the ground looking for her bike, after a few feet of searching the only thing she located was what felt like was a foot and leg.
“Please let it be alive.” Nevaeh whispered as she moved up the leg to the back, the being was breath lightly. She pushed on its shoulder flipping it over.

It was a young man.

Eric couched. He slowly opened his eyes, then started to sit up. His eyes went wide. He started to check his body to make sure it worked. His bare feet wriggled, and his fingers and hands were fine. Good no broken bones. He was sitting sort of in senzai (sp) and looking around himself. "Wait this isn't home! Where am I?" He curled in a ball and twitched as he looked around and noticed nothing. "Wasn't something touching my leg. Eyahhhhhhh!!!!"

The man screamed. Nevaeh fell back, “AHHHHH, what the? “ She crawled back a bit. She pick up a rock an threw in at the man hitting him in the head.

Eric, fell slowly onto his back then quickly jumped up and yelled, "Wha'd ya do that for!" He crossed his hands over his chest, and glared at her.

Nevaeh pick up another rock. “I am sorry I thought you going to attack me or something.”
She stood up with the rock still hidden in her hand. “Were in the world did you come from? I am the only one that dares to come to the O.Z.”

"I come from western PA." He muffed at the girl. He let his hands fall to his pockets, his demenor changed, "I wouldn't hurt a pretty girl. I'm sorry I was still in my own little world." He smiled.

She backed away from the man. What he just said Nevaeh hated to hear that form men. She did not like men much anyway. “Western PA, were is that and how did you get here. You do not look like you are from around here. What is your name, boy.”
The dust was settling she could finale see him

"I'm not boy I'm 22 years old." He sighed, "I'm sorry for my rudeness, you seem to have taken offense. I'm Eric Brown. Am I not in America anymore." For being in a new place he was rather calm.

Shit this Eric Brown was older than me by three years. “No I am the one who hit you with a rock. America, there has not been America for almost three hundred year, but I guess you could say you are in America. It is now know as the North Kingdome west gate. You are by the city of Kross. “

That “man” just fainted. Nevaeh looked down at Eric. “Wimp, are you ok.” He did not move. She was half temped to leave him there for the bugs and wild animals to take care of. The dust had settled, she found her bike and set it back up and got is started after five tries. Nevaeh wrapped her arms around and under his knees and dragged him to the bike. She laid him on him on stomach on the back end and headed home.

They arrived home about a hour later with her father at the front gate.
“Were have you been? You have better not have been to the O.Z.!” Xadrian yelled.
“Ion, can you call the Doctor to the west wing’s blue room and take this man there. Make sure he is taken care of.” Nevaeh asked as she pulled Eric of the back.
“Who is that rat?” Her father asked.
“That rat saved me from some forgotten tech.” She lied.
“ Call me when he wakes Ion, I’ll be in the garage.”

Eric, regained conciousness and was waiting for people to leave him so he could wake quietly. He heard foot steps walking away in two different directions but the third set walked to a place not far away and stood there, like they were watching something. Eric made a gruntig noise, Damn I can't believe I fainted. Over something so stupid. This is something I hoped would happen to me for along time, and the first girl I see, has to see the worst in me. He turned his head and saw the man glaring at him.

"Who are you? I've never seen you in my sectar before." He sat on the chair and watched what Eric did next.

Eric slowly got up again careful of any bruising or anything. He nodded then sighed, i'm ok. "My name is Eric Brown I believe I'm from the past." He looked seriously at The older man.

“Well Mr. Brown what was the year you ‘were’ living in?” Xadrian said as he moved closer to the bed’s side tale. He picked up a pair of glasses.
“I am Lord Xadrian Ali I rule Region 1 and over see this sector. Why do you have a pair of glasses with no tech? These do not even have a interfacing chip. Most babies have their eyes redesigned right after being born and only a few ware them as a fashion statement.”
He handed the boy his glasses.

"I'm blind without them sir. Well it was 2010 maybe an hour or two ago. I'm not sure how long it's been since I tripped down the whole." He waited for a reaction from the older man.

"2010." He looked at Eric, " You world was distorted around the 22 century. It is now 2410 has been almost 300 years since the fall of the world and in the last 100 is when the reform was started. We were lucky to find some lost tech. Now the Human race is now starting to come back to their God given place. There is only about 200 cities in the world now.” Xadrian sat back down. “ The world is now one power. The Order split up in to four kings each of the kings was a kingdom.” Xadrian looked at the boy in the bed. “ The Kingdome are what our people called hemispheres, by the way. One kingdom may have more or fewer then another. Next is the Gates 20 in all. One Gate has 40 terras. Then in each terra has 5 cities.” “Do you understand what I am saying boy?” Xadrian spoke slowly and look down at the boy from his seat.

Eric thought about it a moment, "Yes sir I believe I understand." He pulled out a small note book and wrote that down. He smiled, "this will help me remember important things. I'm glad it made it." He put it back into the pocket of his pants. "Also you said you were a Lord of this sectar, Master Xadrain. Not to sound rude, but i would like it greatly if you didn't call me boy i'm 22 years old." Looked strait at Xadrain.

Xadrian stood up quickly, “ I will call you boy if I want to. My house, my city, My Terra, you will do as I say and when I say, Understand BOY!” He yelled, his face becoming as red as a tomato.

“Father behave yourself, remember Mr. Brown is from a time when they did not have to be in lower ranks, and respect their higher authorities.” Nevaeh said from the door way in a stunning evening gown.
“Plus we do not want you to have a heart attack before we have to go and meet Sir Evan and Ash for dinner.” She sneered out.

“You are right Princess; I will be in the car. We should not be late to your engagement announcement.”
Xadrian pushed past her.

“We will talk to night when I come back. You were out longer than I expected. Just ask Ion for anything you need.”

"Ok." He was looking at his toes. why am i so stupid i can't do anything. He looked up to see Nevaeh. His eyes grew wide for a moment, then they relaxed back to their normal apathetic look, "You look nice, and congradulations." He was standing now, "I'm sorry i'm not used to the customs here," he spoke in a bowed position.

Nevaeh giggled at the bowing Eric. “You do not have to bow to me I have no rank yet. Thank you but there is no need for congratulations it is an unwanted arrangement.” She walked over to him throwing a small rectangular box to him.

He looked at the box, "What is this?" He frowned at it not knowing what to do with it.

“They are new glasses I had a friend of mine scan yours and hook it you to the interface system. I would advise to read on the past few years.” She walked back to the door. “I will see you in a few hours.” She waved goodbye.

"Huh ok time to study." He went to find Ion, and some books. "Mister Ion? Where are the books?"
