The stranger looked around and found some old tools and began his work on the door knob for security purposes.
"After this, maybe ill work on the bar...." After a few minutes the door knob is fixed and the door is fully functional. He picked up some of the scrap peices of lumber lying around and made repairs to the bar as well as the sitting area. The stranger headed out the door "maybe i can find some source of entertainment for this place, incase buisness starts up soon." The stranger re-entered the building with both arms full of electronic equiptment. "Now, where to put this where its out of th way" He began to walk over to a near by corner to set the rubble down |
He took a step as the floor of the attic began to creek. Stepping over the mounds of bones from the victims that this vampire fed on, he took another step, sniffing the air as if trying to catch the scent of something, or someone.
"I smell food." He took another step as the floor gave in. Being too weak to catch himself, he fell through the attic and through the second floor flooring, and landed near the stranger on the bar floor, and without his proper feeding, he lost consciousness. |
He jumped as the vampire fell from the ceiling. Not sure on what to do, Guma decided to tie up the vampire. not wanting to be bitten and die, guma found some old rope and tied up the vampires legs and hands. He then dragged him to a corner so to stay out of the direct sunlight, but to keep him in sight.
With that taken care of, Guma set up the electronic equiptment so the bar now had working lights and a jukebox. |
he fidgited, and opened his eyes slowly. He tried to move about but quickly realized his situation. He looked down towards the floor, and realized that the window next to him was open and the sun beamed onto the floor in front of him.
"Clever, human. so, whats to come of me now?" He weakened and his head lowered again. "and i was so close to feeding. You should have just ended me. The hunger is agonizing enough without some human pitying me." |
He thought for a moment. Went back to the back of groceries he brought in earlier. Guma pulled out a rare steak and headed back to Deimos.
"If you agree to work for me, and not eat me, ill let you continue to reside here. And if your short on energy, ill buy you more steaks. agreed?" |
Cherila entered the building. She had a small hooded cloak pulled over her head, covering most of her gloomy face. The streams of water dripping off her clothes, pattering silently on the floor. Her nimble delicate finger pulled on the taught string, releasing the wet cloth so it no longer clung to her face. Her bulky dress, laced with tons of frills and delicate patterns, dripping as well. Her eyes clouded even further as she squinted, trying to find her sense of direction. After she had been wandering about in the rain. Loosing track of time, it was what she had wanted. But still something seemed to be bothering her, but her wandering eyes quickly replaced that look with one of interest. The two inside the building seemed to be in a important conversation and not wishing to bother them, Cherila pulled up chair and sat down, pretending to ignore them, giving them the privacy they probably deserved.
|
looking up at his captor, then back down to the steak which bled on the floor, he thought about his choices for a bit. He decided he had no choice and nodded.
"ill spare you for now. so keep me fed and i wont bite you." he returned his gaze to the meat on the floor and dug his face in it, chomping down and shredding it. When he finished up he looked back at the man who he was now in debt to, face covered in blood. "would you be so kind as to get me a napkin?" |
He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a knife. Guma cut the ropes binding Deimos.
"get it yourself." He then turned toward the entrance and saw the lady waiting. "sorry bout that miss. Can I help you? We aren't exactly open right now" |
She nodded calmly, realizing the situation. She was obviously in no hurry to be rude. Pulling out a piece of slightly damp paper, she wrote on it sloppily. No problem, it said. I'll wait till you're not busy.
Cherila held out the note, hoping he could read it. |
((are we supposed to pm the profiles to you or just...post?))
|
He analyzed the misses. Then he softly took the damp piece of paper from her and began reading it silently.
He nodded once he was finished. "I'm free now. How may I help you?" |
She pulled out another damp piece of paper.
Looking for a job, got any? Cherila stared at him quietly, wondering what exactly the place was. |
he rubbed his wrists where he had been confined and stood up, making sure to dodge the light entering from the window. He noticed the women at the front and noticed he was filthy. He moved into the kitchen and ran boiling hot water and cleaned the blood from himself.
|
He read the next piece of paper and nodded.
"this my lady is a tavern. It's still in the fixer uppr stage at the moment so the only help I need is to make this place functional. Help with that and I can guartantee you residance and any position you want." |
She nodded again. Of course she was willing to fix the place up, however being unable to speak, she wondered what exactly the job she would end up with. After communicating with notes was no way to communicate. But she held her head thoughtfully.
Cherila pulled out yet another damp piece of paper. Sure, she wrote, I'm skilled with a few things, let me know how I can help. I just hope that my disability doesn't faze you. |
Deimos peeked his head out from behind the entrance to the kitchen area and noticed how the conversation was proceeding. He rolled his black eyes and proceeded up the whole in the ceiling with a swift jump.
|
Cherila noticed the strange person who seemed to be observing them for a while before he began to climb the building. She eyed him curiously for a while, wondering what exactly he was planning on doing on the ceiling.
Strange person, she thought silently to herself. Of course no stranger than herself, yet those words would never be spoken. |
He returned down the whole and landed next to them. He bowed slightly at the women infront of him as he handed her a notepad and a pencil.
"Here, this is drier than yours." Then turning towards Guma. "you, dont work her too hard. shes more useful than you realize. Ill start patching up the wholes in the ceiling and second story floors." He turned back to the mute, smirked and jumped back up the whole without another word. |
She smiled graciously, her face brighting up slightly.
Cherila of course, was extremely happy about the gift. After all, it had been a while since anyone had given her anything. This was something she would treasure. She almost felt bad about writing on it, no longer would it's beauty be preserved. |
He looked in shock as Deimos jumped back upstairs. Then he scowled and turned back to the misses.
"not a problem miss. If you don't mind, could you just spiff up the bar area? From there you may work on whatever you wish." |
His pointed ears perked up as if he could almost hear her cheerfullness. As he finished patching the flooring on the second story, he leaped to the roof and started patching that area up.
|
She stood up, bowing respectfully.
Heading over the the bar area, she ran one of her slender fingers across it, finding some dust. Cherila always carried around a couple of dusting towels, or so she called them. After all, during long trips she had to make sure that her dress was somewhat clean looking. Draping it over a small area of the bar, she patted it first before folding it neatly. Using small sweeping motions, she rubbed away tiny amounts of dust that clung to the cloth. She almost wanted to hum as she worked, but the noise hung heavily in her throat. Besides, she always thought that workers hummed while they worked. |
He decided to work on the broken staircase. Since he had company now and it was approaching the evening time it would be best if everyone had rooms to sleep in. He smiled at the thought of the on going progress this place was making.
|
He soon finished up the patchwork of the flooring and ceilings and wondered what he should do next.
i really shouldnt be doing anything for this man...but... he grabbed some of the extra planks of wood and dashed down from the attic to the second floor. He picked a random room and softly pressed against it, it nudged, then came to a full open. "This room will do." |
