Alex woke up the next morning, followed by getting ready for the day. She walked over to Patch's house and the pain she felt when she was told he was stabbed was indescribable. She quickly ran all the way to the hospital and asked for Patch's room.

Patch was still in the bed and he was hooked up to every machine in the room. He was out cold and the nurse lead Alex to his room, "he was lucky that his wounds wheren't worse." she said as she opend the door for her, "you can stay here as long as you want." she said before leaving.

Alex sat on his right side. She planned to stay there as long as her parents would allow her to so she could she him when he woke up, but of course there was no guarantee.

After about a day patch started to come around and slowly looked around. He then saw Alex and smiled a little bit.

Alex was disfigured on the chair as she snored silently. She remained in the chair for most of the time she was waiting.

Patch slowly started to sit up but pain shot threw hi and he gasped slightly. He then layed down and pulled the covers off. THere was a huge scar running down his stomach and he winced at the sight of it. He then looked over at Alex and said softly, "alex."

Alex partially woke up to the call of her name, but quickly fell asleep again.

Patch smiled and didn't say anything else. She looked really tried and he slowly reached out to her and touched her cheek gently before leaving her alone and just relaxed in his bed.

Alex woke up a few hours later and looked over at Patch with a little smile as she stretched. "Hey, baby. How are you?" she asked.

Patch smiled at her, "better." he said and smiled at her lovingly.

Alex stood up and kissed him gently. "Good." she said.

Patch smiled and kissed her back, "how long have I been here?"

Alex sat on the side of the bed and gently stroked his head. "Only about a day or two." she said.

Patch smiled at her, "sorry if I worryed you." he said as he looked at her.

"Well I just didn't know anything..." she said quietly. She kissed his cheek gently and smiled.

Patch smiled at her and kissed her back, "so how long do they say I have to stay here?" he asked.

"I don't know." she replied with a small shrug. "It could be weeks." she said.

Patch sighed, "I am not staying in here for a week." he said.

Alex set her head on him and gently smoothed out his hair. "You might have to be." she said.

Patch sighed, "I dont want to be, I cant stand staying in one place for to long."

Alex continued playing with his hair and sighed. "I'm sorry but you may die if you'd leave, then you'd be in the ground too long. Do you have any idea of who did this?" she asked.

Patch sighed and shook his head, "I can't remember much so no." he said as he looked at her. He then gently took her other hand into his, "and I will stay if you come visit me."

Alex nodded and smiled gently. "Of course I'll come and visit you! It's not like I ave anything else to do."

Patch smiled at her, "good because if you didn't I wouldn't have anything to look forward to."

Alex gently stroked his cheek with her thumb and smiled. "Awwww..." she said.
