Alex glared at him a little. "Patch! Stop! You didn't do anything! Just leave me alone and give me a while to cool off!" she yelled.

Patch put his hands up, "okay, I will be back at the hospital." he said and got up and headed back but not right away. He stopped at a jewlwry store to gran something.

Alex sighed and laid herself down on the sand. Her face soon had little particles of sand all over her face that had been sticking to her face. She gently brushed the hair from her face and sighed.

Patch soon got a beautifull ring and he headed back to the hosptial. When he got there he layed down and hoped alex would come back.

Alex eventually fell asleep and after it got quite dark, she walked to the hospital and asked for Patch's room.

Patch was still up and playing with the ring he had in his hands. He wondered if now was the right time to ask but then again he wasn't sure if any time would be the right. He sighed and hoped she would say yes.

Alex thanked the receptionist sitting at the desk for her help and walked over to the elevator. She squeezed into the last spot in it and quickly got out after it arrived at Patch's floor. She walked into his room and smiled gently at him. "Hey." she said as she sat down next to him. "Sorry I just got pissed at you...I was just...scared."

Patch hide the ring in his pocket and looked at her, "scared of what?" he asked as he looked at her

Alex shrugged a little and gently played with his hand. "My dream, but it's all over now and we can move on and forget about it." she said quietly.

patch looked at her and nodded. "okay, I will." he said softly and squeezed her hand gently. "but I can say this, that what ever happend in the dream will never happen in real life since I will be here to protect you from anything." he said softly.

'Well...unless he could protect me from himself..' she thought. Alex smiled and nodded kissed him gently.

Patch smiled and kissed her back. Has he kissed her he slipped the ring into his pocket and decided now wasn't a good time. "he then smiled, "oh and I forgot to tell you but they are relecing me soon." he said as he looked at her.

Alex smiled and nodded. "Yay! Then I get to take you on a surprise date!" she said.

Patch smiled at her, "sounds like fun." he said but he didn't tell her that the doctors had said he would forever have a slight pain when he moved to fast from the wound. So he had some pain medication being subscribed to him.

Alex nodded and laid down next to him. "What if the doctor comes in and they suspect we've been..." she said, hoping he would catch her drift.

Patch held her closer, "let them think what they want, I just want to keep you close." he said and wrapped a armaround her.

Alex smiled and set her head on his shoulder. "I love you..." she said.

Patch smiled and kissed her head gently, "I love you too... With all my heart." he said then closed his eyes.

Alex smiled and kissed him gently. "Really?" she asked. She yawned and closed her eyes.

Patch smiled at her, "really" he said and kisses her one more time.

Alex yawned and looked at him. "I truly am sorry..." she said.

Patch held her close. "it os okay, it is in the past now." he said softly.

Alex closed her eyes gently and nodded. "yeah...I suppose."

Patch smiled and kissed her head, "now get some rest." he said to her softly and kept her close.

Alex rolled over onto the floor. "We're in a hospital, I don't belong on that bed." she said.
