It was about an hour or so before Derrick pulled off to the side of the road, drove the bike through a shallow ditch, and parked the machine a few feet off the road next to a large field. "Alright, I can't wait any longer. Ready to do some hunting, Virsat?" He sweeps his arm around, indicating the heard of cattle a little ways away. "You need to feed too. I'm not going to let you go hungry like the yesterday. You need to eat regularly, and when better than when I eat?" He was turning tiger as he spoke, dropping to all fours next to the bike. "Coming wolf?"

Johnny had pulled up behind Derrick's bike, dismounting it quickly. "Hey, why is the human with me? I've never been strangled by the waist before." He was edging away from the human, a fierce look on his face as he tried not to growl at the mortal. "You almost threw the bike, girlie. I said to lean into the turn. Not twitch and freak in the turn." As he finished talking, he shifted easily to wolf, his hand (paw) on his ribs and a grimace on his face. "They only just healed too."

"Are you done being depressing, wolf? I think we have company." He watches the other bike, having known they were following them, but not really wanting to go out of his way to lose them. "If you're here to fight, then you might as well go away now. I don't have time to deal with you." Through some vampiric miracle, he could speak as a tiger and be heard and understood by anyone that could hear him normally. The other females should have no problems hearing him.

"no offence kitty but you look in no fit condituion to really fight, not with you combatting your bloodlust. besides if i had wanted to fight i would not have wited till now" turning to the wolf "if you want to hunt thats fine, ill watch the human female for ya, ive already fed." turning to Mekia "you might as well go eat something too, you never know when your next meal will be." Mai's movements as she slips off the bike after propping it on its kick stand were graceful and smooth, continueing to be so as she sat on the ground next to the bikes "and dont be worried about your bikes, no one will take them while im on watch." closing her eyes she appears to fall asleep though her tense muscles belie her attentiveness to her surroundings.

Virsat hopped off the bike as soon as it stopped. Stretching and twisting his back this way and that a bit to pop the bones. He wriggled a bit and shrugged lightly when Derrick mentioned eating when he ate. Derrick did have a point. His eyes were on the human and he growled softly. When the other females approached, Virsat moved closer to Derrick, those eyes narrowed and he growled a bit louder. Apparent distrust in his eyes. His right hand clenched and unclenched into a fist while his left hand moved up to gently tug at that collar around his neck. He didn't say anything.

Mekia gracefully slid off the bike and walked up to the two vampires and werewolf. "I think we got off on the wrong foot here." She began. Icy blue eyes that contrasted her hair focused on the tiger. "I'm not here to fight anyone. I was actually on my way home, finishing another boring day when that one" a thumb pointed toward the "sleeping" Vampiress, "flew right past me. I'm just here for some excitement." The eyes of ice flicked toward Johnny, fire whirling behind her. "And if you don't really mind, Mia does have a point. You never know when the next meal will be. Mind if I hunt with you?" After only a second her eyes widened and her finger flew up to her face, pointing upward. "I almost forgot!" A bright smile spread across the she-wolf's lips and she stuck a hand out toward Johnny. "My name's Mekia. What's yours?" Her eyes flicked around to all of them: the timid vampire, the tiger, the werewolf, and the human; as if expecting all of them to answer.

Derrick, knowing that Virsat was uncomfortable around the females, didn't bother to bump his head or shoulder on Virsat's side as he would have done normally. Vir was acting as though he had to protect his property, and that was alright with Derrick, but he didn't want to see Virsat jump the female if she got too close. Just in case she was serious and not there for a fight.

He stands up on his back legs, something hard enough to do without actually walking forward on them too, which he did next. He always found it hard to walk on two legs in tiger form, it must have been the full size of the large cat on such delicate, all be it large, hind paws. He was hugging/holding Virsat from behind a moment later, his head resting on Virsat's right shoulder against his neck and his front paws wrapping around the vampire's upper arms. While his back was arched, seeing as his size would have him standing ten foot tall of he was up straight, he held Virsat as close as he could without putting all his weight down on Vir. "Shh, it's alright, Virsat. There's nothing they can do against us, and you know it. Don't fret, okay?" He was purring his words out, unable to really stop the happy sound.

Johnny looks at the hand that's held out to him, glances at Derrick and Virsat, then at the human near his bike. With a groan he turns away, standing next to the hugging vampire duo, his back mostly to the female werewolf. He knew she'd hear him if he 'spoke' to her, so he spoke only to her. "I'm not interested in a pup that doesn't have the decency to address her elders first, instead of a cousin to her own species. Derrick is the oldest. Show your respect for the age here." More publicly, he says "Kids these days..." He was in wolf form after all, and as such, he drops to all fours and cuts loose a loud howl before tearing off after the herd of cattle.

"Shall we join him, Virsat? Don't want him to get all the good ones before we get out there." His voice was still a purr in the vampire's ear. He would have been happy to just stand there, but he was afraid his weight was too much for the smaller vampire to hold up for too long, no matter how strong he seemed to be. "Aww, look, Johnny made a new friend."

Mai had to fight hard to keep from smirking at the humor of the situation. silently she studied the females smell, and the sounds of her movements assuring that if she ever had to chase her down she would be able to do it. she was kind ot surprised at the vampire, virsat, and how he had grown almost jealous with all the new girls arriving. she wondered what he would do if he found out that she was planning on asking if Derrick wouldnt mind sparring with her now and then. "probally flip his lid" she muttered amused. however she was puzzled as to why virsat still wore his collar... "maybe he had been broken?" she breifly puzzles ut then shakes her head as she realizes she doesnt care as long as it doesnt become a dangerous for her to be around him for it.

the human on the other hadn didnt seem to have much to figure out. "a poor soul; lost in the stream of time, hung in the winds of change by a string of fate" Mai breifly wondered what she would think of her anology of the woman. the vampire and the werewolves were also pretty simple to figure out. they were fighters, plain and simple. if she knew anything about the tiger side of derrick he was graceful, but powerful in his cat form. the only thing she found particular about him was his strange fur. "masculine colors.... it probally hides blood well" Mekia on the other hand only seemed here for the fun of the ride, much like Mai herself was although, and she would never mention it willingly, she did kind of feel that she owed derrick her life. after all he did release her from her five years of slavery.

Kyla was surprised to find how strange it felt to stand after the ride. Bikes definitely didn't have the comfort of her car. She was missing it already. Rounding on Johnny, she began, "I almost threw off the bike-?!" but her further comments were cut off by the fact that another bike had joined them. It was the vampire lady from before but this time she had a companion. The red head seemed quite friendly as she tried to introduce herself. But she didn't get much from the three guys. Virsat was already giving them his signature glower while tugging at his necklace. And all Johnny said was something only old people would usually utter before he ran off. At least Derrick wasn't being all anti, but he hadn't exactly welcomed them either. He was busy trying to squish Virsat. Well, that was what she thought anyway. This group was definitely not the friendliest in the world but they did save her life. Still, what's with the attitude problem?

"Don't worry 'bout him much. I think he's normally like that. In my opinion anyway." she finally said, turning to Mekia. "I'm Kyla by the way. Nice to meet you."

Mekia's face seemed to burn as bright as her hair at the pleasure of Kyla's greeting. Rather than shaking her hand, she lifted the human into a hug, squeezing her hard. Then, remembering that Kyla was, in fact, mortal, she put her down with an apoligetic smile, and stepped back. "Sorry... I kind of get ahead of myself sometimes." Then she looked at Derrick and Virsat. "And I should really apoligise to you two as well. The werewolf was right. I should address my elders first, even if it's hard to tell on my first day." One ice blue eye closed in a wink as she bowed to them.

"Now, if you don't mind, I think I'm gonna hunt me some cow." Fire seemed to burst from her fingertips and spread up her arms, hungrily consming her entire body. Then, beginning to run, she hunched over and transformed, becoming a graceful and feminine wolf, racing towards the cows as if she really was on fire.

Virsat's crimson colored eyes shifted between the females and once to Johnny before the wolf ran off to eat. When Derrick hugged him from behind in that tiger form and purred words into his ear, Virsat only tilted his head slightly towards that feline face and growled a bit louder at the other females, not saying a word until Derrick made that comment of Johnny making a new friend.

"We don't need new friends or the human." That nose wrinkled with disdain and Virsat wriggled a bit, though the weight of Derrick's feline body against his own wasn't entirely unwanted or uncomfortable. He shifted slightly on his feet and then nodded once. He tugged at that collar around his neck once more before letting that hand drop and sighing softly. "...Let's go...you need food." He had reached up and pat Derrick lightly on the head when he spoke.

Johnny didn't get very far from the vampires before he heard the other wolf following him. He rounded on her quickly, lips pulled back from his massive fangs in a loud snarl as he spoke to her mentally. "You have to be joking. You actually think I'm going to be killing anything before Derrick does? You might not have known it~" he hunches his back a bit in preparation for what he's about to reveal "~but he wouldn't be so worn out if it wasn't for your friend. He had to push himself to the limit twice because she was attacking us and I was too weak to fight."

His snarl took on a small whine at that, embarrassment at his own weakness, embarrassed that he failed to protect his friends. "I'm not hunting anything until he does, I was trying to herd them back toward him so he wouldn't have to work too hard for the meal." His whine was gone, and he was back to growling at the girl before him, using the chance to look over her wolf form. He couldn't help but comment to himself, making certain that she couldn't hear him, about her version of wolf. Huh, where I have hands, she has paws, and her back feet are too delicate to hold her upright. What a normal looking wolf, how can she even fight in that form? She's rather tiny in comparison to...anything... I bet she'd be hard to catch but easy to break once caught. He tries not to be obvious in his checking her out. He was still a red-blooded male, after all.

~X~

Derrick pushes his head into Virsat's hand, giving him another gentle squeeze, making sure not to hurt him, and drops down to Virsat's side. "Come Virsat. Oh, Kyla? Watch your bare flesh. That chick is still a vampire." He turns away from the girls, waiting for Vir to join him, and follows the trail the two wolves made in the field grass. When he came upon the stopped wolves, he didn't slow down and merely made a off handed comment to Virsat. "I always wanted a dog when I was a kid. How did it take nearly three-hundred years of immortality for that to happen, and why are there two of them?"

Derrick's comment stopped the slow advance Johnny had on the fire wolf, his snarling growl ceased and his eyes popped open wide as he turned to look at the large cat and vampire. "H-HEY! I'm not a dog!" Anything else he might have said wouldn't have been heard by Derrick, as he had continued walking away and talking to Vir in low tones. "Bloody vampires..."

((Please read the OOC, as it contains information as to why (after everyone goes) I'm going to have to ask that y'all consider this as hiatus (except for Minty and Emiko since they aren't with the cows) until Sunday evening (if y'all are ok with that) since I can't get back online till then... ))

Mekia sighed. "She's not my friend, any more than the rest of you are. Although I hope that will change." She noticed how Johnny was looking at her, and almost laughed. "And don't let my looks fool you. I can fight pretty well."

The wolf in front of her opened his eyes wide as Derrick called him a dog, and Mekia couldn't help but laugh freely. "Man's best friend." She walked by him, gently bumping into him, to follow Derrick. "Or not..."

Virsat was silent when Derrick lowered from him and began walking, following the tiger. Those eyes were narrowed and Virsat sighed lightly. He didn't speak until they had reached Johnny and the other female. Virsat's crimson eyes narrowing into even more of a glare at the female. That nose wrinkled with disdain and he growled softly. "...He called you a dog to." Virsat had mumbled when the female commented on Derrick calling Johnny a dog.

He had stopped, watching Johnny and the female as Derrick didn't slow down and continued on. When that female bumped Johnny, Virsat's eyes flashed and his growl grew in volume. The Vampire was nearly snarling, those lips twitching a bit with the effort of him trying not to snarl at the female. Both hands at his sides clenched and unclenched into tight fists and he moved closer to Johnny. His body tense.

"Er..Thanks." Kyla replied, amazed that one of the three said something to her other than insults or normal conversation with a side helping of insults. But then again, Derrick had always seemed like the nicest of the group. After all, he was the one who jumped in to save her first, and unbeknownst to her, for the second time already. After being left with the sleeping Vamp, the green eyed woman moved to the other side of Johnny's bike, facing the roads. She sat down in a comfortable spot to watch the roads and any vehicle, scarce as they may be, pass by. With a sigh, she placed her head in her hands. "Can't believe I left my purse...." she muttered moodily. Accepting the fact that she may have to rely on the others for essentials was not going to be easy.

Derrick moves between Virsat and the wolves. One step he was walking slightly in front of Virsat and the next he was pushing Vir away from Johnny and the pesky female. "Virsat, don't interfere. Johnny can handle a mere pup like that. You've seen him fight, that girl isn't much of a bother to him."

Johnny snaps at the fire wolf when it bumps into him, his teeth raking fur and pulling a few hairs out. They hang in his mouth for a moment before he spits them at her feet. "Watch yourself. Here there be monsters, girl." He turns and gives her a bump of his own, not a friendly joking bump, more of a 'know your place and get there' bump. "Unless you want Virsat to kill you, you'll learn to read the vampires as the predators they are." He stands up, following after Derrick and Virsat, catching them in a few quick steps. Making sure his hand/paws are clean, he places them on Virsat's shoulders, keeping pace behind the vampire. "Don't worry. No pup like that could hurt me. You don't have to get so protective."

Derrick, having scented the cows before he saw them. Dropping low in the tall grass, he moves on ahead of the others, nearly disappearing as he runs into the herd. He'd taken down two of the larger bovines before the rest of the herd knew there was a predator in their midst. The first cow he got was merely knocked out, as that was easier to accomplish than the killing blow to two cows at once. "That one's just knocked out, Virsat. You need to eat, and it's a good size for your first one." He couldn't wait for anyone to answer him, as there was blood drawn from the second one, and he couldn't hold back the savagery that he'd kept in for far too long as is. He fed, all be it messily, but it was something he needed to do.

After stripping the cow of it's meat, he shifts back to vampire, ignoring any stares his blood covered form might earn him, and runs off after the herd, catching them easily and attacking another running beef-patty, drinking from it like a vampire ought to do, needing the blood as much as he needed the steak from the first cow. Once his thirst is sated, he drags the drained body back and lays it next to the other corpse he'd stripped. "Who wants it?"

"Give it to the doggy there. I'm waiting for Virsat to finish so I can take care of that body of his." Johnny, in a way that only a wolf his type could do, grins wolfishly when he 'says' that. His canines were very clearly visible, but the grin wasn't one that could be seen as threatening, unless you'd never seen a werewolf smile before.

((And no, I didn't mean to make the bad pun... I just couldn't find a good substitute for the term... >_>))

Virsat didn't say anything, not to Johnny and not to Derrick. He did look slightly annoyed when Derrick and then Johnny assured him that female was no big deal. A light sigh passed his pale lips and those crimson eyes remained narrowed, he had crossed his arms across his chest and slowly followed Derrick at a slight distance. When Johnny put his paws on Virsat's shoulders he stopped and looked up at him, head tilted back and blinking a bit. "Females are nearly as untrustable as humans." He shivered with those words.

When Derrick brought down the bovine for him he smiled slightly and gently pulled away from Johnny but not before reaching up and patting one of his hands lightly. Once Virsat reached the downed creature he lowered himself to the ground to feed. He was quick but he was neat. Once the cow was drained Virsat stood and took a few steps back, that nose wrinkled in disdain as he reached up to wipe his lips with his hands instead of licking them. He stuck his tongue out at Derrick. "Deer taste better."

"Of course. But the cows were convenient." He'd begun to clean the blood from his face and neck, knowing full well he was covered in the stuff. "Ugh, I guess I need to go shopping again... Blood never comes out completely..." He could feel it in his hair, down his back, on his chest, under his pants and on his legs. "I need a river... I should have thought about finding food near a river..." He was muttering to himself, fretting over the drying blood that covered him from feeding as a tiger.

"I know, Virsat. But the only female I brought was the human, and they're easy enough to control. Handcuffs work against them rather well." He'd bowed over the discard cow that Virsat had drained, stripping the flesh with his hand claws, eating more neatly than Derrick had in his feeding frenzy. All in all, he seemed almost civilized in his meal, except for the slurping.

Mai wasnt completely oblivious to the conversations of the persons in the field, though she pretended like it. she was more interested in doing her job something that was easy enough to do. "hmn i need a good stretch..." standing up all pretence of her sleep gone she moves out from the center of the bikes to the sidenot wanting to knock any of them over accidentidly. shifting quickly it doesnt take long before i stand shaking out my fur. stretching like the cat i am i almost purr in satisfation as all my muscles are stretched. digging through a pack i had had time to install on the back of my pack, after changing back i pull out a pair of knifes.

maybe i can teach this human how to relly battle one of our kind... might keep her alive just a little lnger and make them a valuable companion to keep along as well" shifting back onto the balls of her feet mai turns easily to find the human, intending to offer her a lesson in self defence against immortals.

Mekia sighed at the three's sensetivity. She'd have to watch what she did here, for once. She wasn't very good at controlling her actions. It hadn't really mattered before...

The she-wolf licked the place where Johnny's fangs had ripped away some fur. She didn't really care. It would grow back in about a day anyway. It always did. Glancing around, she noticed the tiger among the cows, knocking over one and devouring another. She trotted up to them, nudging with her paw the one Derrick had told her to eat. "Thank you." It may have been a spoken softly, but the words were uttered out of respect of the tiger who had drained it's blood. The fire wolf didn't really need help killing cows, but it was easier to just walk up and eat it.

But only if she doesn't get fat.

"I know how to get blood out of clothes almost completely." Mekia smiled for the first time since they met. "I've had to do it enough times." Suddenly thinking of what she just said, Mekia turned to Virsat. "But not from killing anyone. Just animals." She assured, staring down at the cow again.

Finished speaking, Mekia dug her claws in, her fingers turning human and tearing off a large, thick strip of meat. She lay it aside, the hide on the grass so that the meat wouldn't get dirty. The abdominal cavity was now opened wide, revealing the internal organs. Mekia hid her face in the cow, eating the internal organs first, devouring the cow carcass from the inside out.

Virsat eyed the female for a few moments. Not really caring how many people she may or may not have killed. That head tilted to the side slightly as he just gave her a slightly annoyed look. After watching her for a few moments, Virsat moved towards Derrick, reaching out to take his head gently though a bit uncertainly as he once again turned his cold crimson gaze onto that female. "Cold water and some scrubbing usually gets blood out." He looked at Derrick and smiled. "I could clean your clothes when we get to where we're going."

Johnny was the one who turned to the wolf in answer of the 'people killing' comment. "It's not the cute vampire you have to worry about giving reassurances like that to. He'd rather string up all the humans for food for the immortals than to worry about their safety." He'd nearly devoured the heifer, trying to get his stomach to settle with the tamed meat. "I know what you mean, Virsat." His eyes, still glowing slightly from the radiation poisoning, staring at the gutted cattle on the ground. "Hey pup, that taste funny to you?"

Anything Derrick would have said was lost when Virsat smiled at him, even though he couldn't help but feel sorry for the timid vampire, nearly ashamed that he was dragging him across the country to some mansion that he wasn't even sure was still standing. "Yeah, that's why I normally find food near a river. I can swim as a kitty and the blood doesn't come out in my clothes when I shift back..." He was fretting with his clothes again, scraping at the sticky blood. "I should have found a river... I can't ride the bike like this...it'd get you all red."

Johnny nearly chokes on the cow he was swallowing. "Well, you could streak the highway. It's not like you have to worry about anyone seeing you, we drive too fast for that." He was laughing as best that a wolf can, a leering grin on his face. "Unless you think you can do a half form. Like a furry vampire or something."

The vampire looks to the wolf, his eyes wide as his face grows furred. He was slowly changing, trying to keep anything from really shifting other than his skin. When the fur had begun to bunch under his clothes, something he hasn't had to worry about since he was a fledgling, he pulls off his shirt, grinning down at his glowing red stripes on his sides. "This could work." He pulls out the hem of his pants, making sure the fur covered everything before he even considers taking the garment off. "Yeah, this could work..."

Mekia had finished the insides and had begun eating the meat. "No actually it doesn't. Waste not want not. And I may be young, but I am not inexperienced." Then the fire wolf frowned as best a wolf could, realizing she might get yelled at for that. Ah well. She went back to her eating, not really paying attention to what was going on.

It had been too long since she had a decent meal.

Kyla lifted her head after hearing sounds of movement nearby. It seems the vampire was done resting and was rifling through her bag for stuff. Kyla watched her until she was done before saying anything although it was hard for her to make out what it was the vampiress had taken out. "Hey, good morning!" she said with a smile, although it clearly was still night time. "Going off to eat too?" The green eyed woman stood up to relieve her clothes of gravel and grass before facing the vampiress again. "Thanks for helping them out by the way. Wouldn't be here if you didn't." she said, extending a hand to shake hers in thanks. If she had known that the woman was carrying daggers, she'd have been more wary and might have skipped the handshake.

Virsat shifted a bit on his feet and poked Derrick in the side softly, almost tenatively. As if testing the fur there. "Ooh." He ran his hand along Derrick's side, petting the fur there. That hand moving around to his chest, those fingers tangling lightly in the that fur, but not really tangling the fur or pulling on it. A smile on Virsat's lips as he let that hand play over Derrick's furry chest, before he stepped back and let that hand fall. Shoving them into his pants pockets he turned.

"We should go check on the bikes..make sure that human didn't break them or something." He grumbled the words out lightly and was already heading back the way they had come.

Shocked at the less than friendly reply, Kyla jumped out of the dagger's way and quickly pulled out her own silver knife. "Ok, I know it was partly..mostly my fault that you had to fight and all, but really, can't we settle this peacefully?" Unaware of her intentions, the blond prepared herself for the worst. Without her shotgun she knew the fight was going to be tough. She wasn't even sure the vampiress was weak against silver. It didn't even cross her mind to call for help, Kyla was sometimes too independent for her own good and she had fought one on one with vamps and weres before. But they were fights illuminated by the city lights and the enemies were probably nothing compared to the ones she had met that night. "I don't really wanna hurt you." Optimistic words in her position.
