Layla watched everyone observantly. She smiled as she kept hearing Vyan's voice. They seemed more like a family to her, again. She hoped that Navessa really did send this boy to take care of them. She had trusted her though, and knew that they would be treated well. Layla walked over to the living room and sat on the couch. Why didn't Navessa come back, instead of sending a ''replacement''?

Kiki watched from the doorway as the rest of the dolls milled about their supposed new "master". She rolled her eyes and let out a short sarcastic laugh. She'd followed Meena and had seen how terrified the smaller doll had been at the sheer size of the outside world. She shook her head and then slipped into the house. Without bothering to stop and greet anyone Kiki continued on further into the house until she was back in her original room. She sat down in the window seat and stared at the sky through the panes of glass.

Layla sighed and observantly watched everyone. She walked over to the living room and sat on the couch. She wondered how she would handle the situation if she were the boy. Seeing a human, besides Navessa, was strange. She wasn't used to it like she used to be. She certainly hadn't seen a boy before, he looked so different than the dolls. It was interesting to watch his movements and how he talked. He didn't seem as breakable as her sisters and herself. |
After the sky had started darkening Kiki let the curtains out and turned to light a couple of candles. Soon her room was flooded with flickering light. She opened her violin case again, caressing the instrument lovingly. She took it out and placed the bow on the strings again. Pulling it across and producing a single clear note. She quickly tuned the string instrument and played a soft lullaby like tune. Her fingers danced once again and her eyes reflected the candle light, a hidden joy dancing along with the flames. She opened her mouth slightly and words came pouring out like water, smooth, and like honey, sweet. Her eyes slid shut and she swayed slightly in place as she played. This was her escape. This was her paradise. This was hers.

Taking it all in, Al was begining to calm down and enjoy himself. This was a house of a witch after all, why could'nt he expect talking, walking and chock full of emotion dolls? He watched the dolls converse among each other and some welcomed his arrival while others were upset. They talked about him being a replacement that Naveesa sent. Al started to feel awkwards as these toys seemes like they could get along just fine without him having to be here to do whatever Naveesa had been doing. Which was probably just housework as the house seems to be falling apart outside. "Vyan, Naveesa didn't really send me to be the new whatever" He had never met the old lady in his life. "But I'd love to be your friends. It's amazing how you guys been...well, just living all this time." He couldn't believe the witch hadn't thought about revealing this to the world. It was an amazing discovery that would've landed her fame and money. However...these dolls, no, girls, would have been taken away and disected or something. Al mentally jerked back from the memory of the frog that they had once cut up in class.
"C-can I come inside?" he asked hesitantly, peering through the crack into the hallway. The dolls were slightly smaller or taller than him and seemed incredibly human to him. Albeit the flawless features and doll clothes. ((Sorry for being so late)) |
Kuri shot Al a menacing look as she crossed her arm and glared at him with her glass eyes. " You found her note in the wall, you broke her spell you are our new master human!" Kuri turned as she shook her head not believing how stupid Neveesa was for choosing such a fool to take care of them. He was just a child how could he take care of them or understand how special they where. A red aura appeared around Kuri as she turned and stared at him growing angry the more she stared at him and thought about the fact he was their new master. Kuri turned abruptly and stormed up the satires to the addict, where she slammed the door shut. It wasn't her normal character but she had never felt such emotions before. She looked to the spell books as the pages began to filp as she looked for a spell to get ride of him. She stopped after a while knowing it wouldn't be right to hurt the boy. Though there was nothing wrong in teaching him a lesson she thought as the pages stopped turning. She looked at the spell and smiled as she read it.

Meena watched the boy carefully. At least he hadn't started talking about being their 'master'. Maybe he wouldn't be so bad after all.
"Hi..." she said shyly. "Um... sorry for yelling at you. I'm Meena." He looked so strange, she thought as she studied him. So this was a boy, huh? Weird. |
Layla walked over to where Al was standing, still outside. ''Of course, come in'', she said politely. She tried to smile at him understandingly, she could imagine how weird it must be to be surrounded by talking girl dolls. ''So, how did you find us? Did Navessa come to you?'' She asked, excitement in her voice. He seemed harmless and innocent, surely he wouldn't do anything bad to them... Would he? |
Vyan nodded and walked back over to the boy and held out her hand. "Come on, we'll show you the house." She said with a smile.

Funny, it seemed to become harder for Al to come up with coherant words to say. "It's ok," Al managed to say ",I guess I was a surprise to you." Though not as much of a surprise as they were to him. Another doll from the inside welcome him inside and asked him several questions. Al pushed the door open and went it. He stood at the foyer and held the door out for Vyan and Meena. "Um, like I said, I've never met Naveesa before. No one in the neighborhood's really saw her much. And as for finding this place, well, I was here for a baseball but after finding Vyan I came here." Al craned his head around to look at the inside of the house. It was like any normal house, however the dust was a bit thick. Going through the dolls words, Al guessed that Naveesa had been missing for a while. There would be no way to file a report without investigators coming here and finding these dolls. "Can I stay here for a while?" he asked eagerly ",my name is Al, I live right around the block."

Vyan looked at Kuri, she had assumed position of mom when Nevessa left, so Vyan naturally looked to her for answers or help.

Juliet stood in the kitchen and watched as the boy was brought into the house Vyan was talking again that was a good thing an Meena had calmed down she walked out of the kitchen and sat down on the couch she decided she would not acquaint herself with him just yet she wanted to let him settle in and actually be able to have a relaxed conversation.

''Oh, that's interesting. Yes, you may stay. You are welcome here.'' Layla said to Al, trying to hide the disappointment in her voice that Navessa didn't actually tell him to look after them. She looked around the room, it wasn't as clean as it used to be. Maybe Kuri could fix that, she was almost as good as Navessa when it came to magic. ''Make yourself at home.'' She said kindly. If only it was Navessa that had showed up, oh well, he'd have to do for now. She could tell by everyone's reactions that it would take awhile to get used to him. |
"Won't you have to?" Kiki murmured. She'd gotten bored again and had drifted from her room to where she now stood, in the doorway once again, looking in. Her eyes stared emotionlessly at the boy, Al. Then she slid her hand across the nearest tabletop and frowned at the dust that had collected on her fingertips, "Doesn't anyone clean...?" She whispered. She raised a hand slowly and a silvery-white glow emitted from her hands, she swept it through the air and then watched as the dust slowly lifted off of the furniture in the room and collected around her hand. When she was satisfied she let it all fall into the nearest garbage bin.

After calming back down Kuri went back down stares. She shook her head as she entered the room with the other dolls again. She held out her hand as the room was filled with a red light that filled the house growing blinding. When it faded the house was spotless and clean. Every inch that had been falling apart was back to normal. Kuri looked to Vyan as she gave her a slight smile. "Sorry for my rudeness." Her eyes shifting to Al. "You are welcomed here Al. Besides Vyan needs someone to talk too!" Kuri gave the little doll a wink as she laughed slightly.

Vyan smiled and grabbed Al's hand. "Come on, I'll give you a tour of the house. Your going to love it here. Wait until you see the garden...and the Library, and the kitchen...Do you cook?" She asked as she pulled Al deeper into the house.

When she saw the red glow appear, Layla ignored it, she was used to magic being used randomly. She walked alongside the boy and Vyan, but gave them enough space. She felt a strange surge of excitement seeing another human after so many years. She also felt sadness since looking at Al reminded her when she was a human, she almost completely forgot about how humanity felt. She smiled though, trying to hide her emotions. Layla sighed, as she blew up a loose strand of air that was in her face. She wanted to ask Al so many things about the outside world, but didn't want to overwhelm him with any more questions. |
Juliet saw the glow and closed her eyes she didn't want to be seeing spots once the light went away she reopened her eyes to find that the house was now clean and spotless. She stood up and made her way up to her room where she would go to maybe draw something.

Layla thought more about her past human life. She couldn't remember anything really, and that's what bugged her. No matter how hard she tried to. She decided to sit down on a chair in the kitchen. Layla pondered on what happened to Navessa, she'd been thinking about her more than usual, lately. She tried not to remind herself so much, but she just couldn't help it. |
