As she turned around Holden reached out and then reined himself back in, trying not to act posessive with the things she was looking at. He followed her at a safe distance, only relying on his hearing to track her progress. The Library. If she read any of those spells...He dashed forward and halted in the threshold of the doorway. "Neat, huh?" he said, tilting his head and smiling. There was no way he was letting her up those stairs.

"I suppose, yeah. They ban these kinds of books in the village. Not like it's real anyway," she shrugged, looking through a couple more. She never understood exactly why they'd banned them. She didn't figure all of that double, double toil and trouble stuff was real so what was the point of keeping literature away from them? What harm could it do? After going from one shelf to the other, she turned and looked at the boy. Was he watching her or something? Because, that would be a little odd. After sending him a what the hell kind of glance, she began to make her way towards the stare case. If all of this stuff were still in tact, she could've only imagined what would be upstairs. Clearly, bedrooms since she'd yet to see any downstairs but, she still wanted to look.

dustland_fairytale 02-05-2010 02:44 AM

Holden leapt over and was standing infront of her in a flash. He let out a nervous chuckle. "What're you doing?" he asked, ralized that came off a little suspicious and tried a different tactic. "Umm, I already went up there. It's just dark and spider-webby. And the floor's weak. Almost fell through on my way back down the stairs," he added for good measure. "Why'd you pop up hear in the first place anyway. I haven't gotten to ask." He was stalling, it was painfully obvious, at least to him. He was frustrating her, he could tell but well, she shouldn't be wandering around strange houses in the first place, he told himself.

Lady Chello 02-05-2010 02:54 AM

Vincent looked at the door flew open. He hung his head as he shook his head. That was it the others had their turn to get them out. If he hadn't been so panicky then his subconscious self wouldn't be opening doors. He knew it was just the monster in him wanting to come out and play. He had enough hiding in the basement like a criminal it was his house after all. In a quick movement he was up the stares and appeared in the Library he placed his hand over his mouth with a look of disgust on his face as he smelt her. He felt his stomach turn from the smell of her. He looked to Holden then to the girl. His voice was low and piercing as he spoke staring straight at the girl. "Well isn't this quite different most civilized maidens would knock on the door instead of barging into a house." He removed his hand as he glared at her keeping himself clam.

Alice arched an eyebrow at the speed the boy had managed to get in front of her at. She stopped and stared up to him, narrowing her eyes. She didn't like that very much at all. When he stated that the floor was caving in, she inspected the ceiling and thought for a long moment. The ceiling actually looks just fine. Considering how old the place was, it really did surprise here. "You can call it a bet," she stated before another male entered, seeming to look at her in disgust. Her eyes narrowed in a glare as she looked back at him. "Well, excuse me. This place has been abandoned for god knows how long. And if what this boys says it's true, there should be no problem with me being here because you're here as well," Alice spat back, looking him dead in the eye. "How rude. And I wouldn't exactly say that it's barging when no one even lives here," she said, wrapping her fingers around the strap attached to her violin case. She had the thought of knocking the rude boy with it but decided that her violin was worth more than that. "Now, if you wouldn't mind, I have an interest in seeing what's upstairs," she stated before attempting to walk around the fast young man to get to the staircase.

Lady Chello 02-05-2010 03:16 AM

Vincent appeared in front of the girl as he grabbed her wrist and gently pushed her back. "No my lady you shall not. I am sure that he has informed you how bad the decay is up there. The house is ready to fall in at any moment." He was trying to be nice though the girl was pressing her luck. He looked to her back and noticed the violin. "So twas you who was playing the violin hummm gifted you are. I would hate for anything to happen to you. I think you should call the bet off....we don't want anything happening to you or us." He looked at Holden as he rose a brow wandering what lies he feed the girl. He narrowed his eyes as he looked back at her. "Stubborn this one. Reminds me of a certain wol..." He cut his eyes to Holden as a slight grin appeared on his face.

Antique Doll 02-05-2010 03:43 AM

Alice was in no way thrilled by the grab or the push, however if it really were caving in, she gave them that. However, the last thing she was going to do was leave. And that, was final. "I won't be calling anything off. You'll have to talk to my friends about that as well, once they get here," she stated, a smile appearing on her face. She went about snatching her wrist away from the boy. "And yes, it was me. The question is, where was the flute coming from? I heard it from inside so I assume one of you were playing," she said, looking back through the books. "We won't be here long. As soon as we leave, you boys can have your little "clubhouse" back. We have the same right to be here as you," she said before casually walking over to a chair that was in the library, patting it down, then taking a seat and glaring over at the two.

Remaro 02-05-2010 06:51 PM

Anthony had stiffened, ready to duck away any second as he stared at the moving chair wide eyed. However, he 'breathed' out a sigh of relief when she didn't sit and instead left the room. However, the ghost didn't have much time to clam himself down when he heard the shriek. Frowning, he began to move forwards so both the table and chair were sticking through him, when the girl fell. Staring in silence at her, he blinked before pushing himself back a little, looking alarmed when she fell unconscious. Glaring at Holden he made an irritable sound before standing straight so he stod in the middle of the table.
"And a great way to keep hidden Holden, or is hiding too cowardly for the big bad wolf?" He snapped coldly before striding away, vanishing through a wall. It would be better that she didn't see him again, she'd probably only panic most likely.

Pausing, he waited on the floor above, listening intently to the sounds of movement and voices. They were trying to prevent the girl he'd help to faint from going up the stairs, and it sounded like they were having a little trouble. Cursing softly to himself, Anthony glided down the steps, pausing by the door. Should he go in? He could say that it was just the lighting, or her imagination, it would be dark soon so all the windows would let in moon light and he'd be solid. He'd just have to be careful not to touch anything until then. Besides, it would be better that he try to distract Vincent, having a vampire with a human was not a good combination, and it would be easier for all of them not to have a missing girl rumour about the house.
"Vincent did you find anything interesting? I thought you were looking to see if there was a basement" He spoke softly as he entered the room through the, thankfully, open door. Anthony ignored the girl and gazed directly at Vincent, putting extra emphasise on the word 'basement'. It was a long shot, but the vampire should get the hint, even if he ignored it.

Lady Chello 02-05-2010 07:26 PM

Vincent turned and looked at Anthony as he rose a brow. "I did, I thought you were keeping a look out. I came to see what all the noise was." Vincent looked from him as his eyes shifted to the girl. "It seems that the maiden has friends with her that are coming. Who knows how long this relic will last if there are more coming. I hope they all aren't wanting to see the upstairs it is already ready to fall in." His eyes shifted to the stairs hoping Anthony would understand why he had come from the basement. They couldn't let anyone see the rooms up there. It was already bad enough she had found the spell books. In a quick movement he turned and left the room. He stopped as he looked at Anthony. "I will go back and see if I can find anything interesting there." He stared at Anthony as he smiled so only Anthony could see his fangs. "Though there is another about this place maybe I should go make sure she....they are ok."

Remaro 02-05-2010 09:09 PM

Anthony shrugged a little, shaking his head. “I was, but I got bored. What’re you going to do about it?” He answered, a small challenge raised in his voice, though his expression didn’t change from boredom and irritation. Finally though he glanced to the girl and gave her a flicker of what could have been a smirk, though it vanished almost instantly. “I’m sure they’ll understand it isn’t safe, I’ve already almost fallen to my death, and I only got about half way up the stairs, give or take.” He answered, watching the girl as he spoke before glancing to Holden. “I heard screaming though, did you scare her or something?” He demanded from the werewolf, in a teasing tone, before stiffening as Vincent left the room. He had to shuffle a little to the side to make certain they wouldn’t touch and Vincent wouldn’t pass through him. A frown of anger flashed over his face which he swiftly smoothed over.
“Watch what you do leech, just cause I’m like this now doesn’t mean I won’t be solid later! Don’t do something stupid, and restrain yourself.” He whispered in a hushed tone so the others wouldn’t hear. If need be, he’d even follow Vincent to make sure he didn’t hurt the other girls.

Lady Chello 02-05-2010 09:20 PM

Vincent laughed as he looked at Anthony. "And you just stay out of the light spirit. I'll handle myself beside they might like a few magic tricks." His eyes shifted back to the girl then to Holden. "I'm not the only one she'll have to fear. At lest with me I am quick." He turned and moved about the house as he looked for the other girl. The other two could handle the trouble child he would take care of the other.

dustland_fairytale 02-05-2010 09:29 PM

Holden's upper lip twitched in a silent snarl. "You know people's talk of ghosts in this house, Anthony," he said, staring straight at him. "Anyone would be scared by that." As he saw Vincent leave, his eyes darkened. "Be careful not to...startle them," he reminded him as he left. The tension in the air was almost palpable. "Sorry that one's a bit, uh, touchy," he said suddenly, whipping his head around to face Alice. "As we were saying, maybe it's best you go look elsewhere. For your own safety. There's a lot more house to see than upstair." Again he flashed an appealing smile. He glared back at Vincent after his last comment. "At least I can control myself for a month," he hissed

Antique Doll 02-05-2010 09:49 PM

Alice goggled at the transparent boy, hardly listening to what him and the other male was saying. She was lost for words until she swallowed the lump in her throat. "You. . ." she muttered, recognizing him as being the boy beneath the table. She pushed herself up from her chair and took a few steps closer to him, after the other boy had left the room. "I can see straight through you," her voice quivered as she spoke in a soft, hushed tone. "There is something not right about you," she stated, looking from one male to the other through wide eyes. "You can treat me as thought I were gullible of naive but you're wrong. Say what you want but something is up. Something is very, very wrong about this place and I want to know. Let me go upstairs. Whether the floor will cave in or not, I let me see for myself," she said, her eyes lingering on the transparent boy for a long moment before she broke her gaze and headed back towards to staircase.

dustland_fairytale 02-05-2010 10:02 PM

Holden took a protective stance. "There..." he looked down. "There are people's personal belongings up there. Things they wouldn't want you to see," he sighed, lifting his head. "I can't let you up there." He wasn't going to say anything more. He had to shut his trap now before the secret of their curse was given away. It didn't help that Anthony was a tad on the transparent side but she could just take it as a trick of the light. He was hoping.

Antique Doll 02-05-2010 10:27 PM

His words only made things worse as he contradicted himself. "One minute you're telling the floor is caving in and the next you're claiming peoples personal items are about that you wouldn't want me to see," she stated. Alice really wasn't starting to like these boys much at all. "This place has been abandoned for god knows how long. What difference is it going to make if I take a look? Unless you have something you might want to tell me," she smiled and arched an eyebrow, all to ready to shove the strange boy out of the way to get upstairs. She wasn't going to let some boy she'd never even met tell her what she was and wasn't going to do in a house that didn't even belong to them.

dustland_fairytale 02-06-2010 03:39 AM

"I lied," Holden stated, not once looking away from the girl. He swallowed, his mouth had run dry and he realized he was panting softly. He shut his mouth so fast his teeth clicked together. "Uhh..." He glanced over at Anthony with a "help-me-out-here" sort of look. "It's a no-go zone up there, any way we put it," he decided to add. "Obviously any answer I give you will continue to dig myself a deeper grave so why don't you just accept that there's no way in heaven or earth I'm letting you past, hmm?"

Fang13 02-06-2010 03:31 PM

((sorry I haven't been on in a while... *ahem* I've been locked in my room, studying))

Willow shook her head after crashing into that wall. Oh, awesome. I'm hungry, lost and I'll probably die here. Wonderful. Great. Awesome! She blew her hair out of her eyes. Okay. Anyways. Kitchen. Kitchen. Food. Food. I... uh... command a path to be show to me to where the food is so I won't starve. Um. But she just sighed and walked on along the dark corridors. Heh. Can't even get out of this damn place. Who the hell lives here anyways?

Willow cleared her throat, "Uh, hellooooo? Anyone heeeeeeere?" she heard her voice echo. Huh. Guess not. Or maybe... Um... She rounded another corner, Great. This whole place is just a maze! Just a freakin' maze that I will freakin' die in!

Lady Chello 02-06-2010 04:53 PM

Vincent appeared behind the girl as he stared at her. "Hello there." He stared at her as he tried to keep distance from her. He placed his hand over his mouth as he tried not to breath. The house was becoming unbearable with all of the humans just appearing randomly in it. All his fangs wanted to do was sink deep into their necks and drain them dry. He kept his mind on what the others had said, as he tried to control his urge. His voice was clam as he spoke, thought on the inside he was a mess trying to keep his urge under control. "Are you here on a dare too?" He looked at her with a questing face as he leaned back from her putting more distance between them.

Remaro 02-06-2010 04:55 PM

Glaring at Vincent he muttered a couple of soft curses beneath his breath. "I'm not stupid, I know what do do leech." He mumbled before turning again to the girl. Anthony gazed at her unblinking before suddenly laughing loudly.
"See through me? Really, this lighting is playing tricks on you. I'm as solid as everything else" He finally answered, though at the same time took a couple fo steps back to keep the distance between them. He chuckled softly at Holden's comment. "Now really, who would believe in ghosts? A load of myths and legends, nothing real about them." He smirked as he shook his head slightly at Holden's 'help-me-out-here' look. After the ghost comment there was no way he was going to help him out. Instead he began to step back through the door. "I'll go after Vincent, he's an idiot, but he can get a little dangerous sometimes." He mumbled before leaving the two and returning to the corridor. Looking around, he was surprised when he heard a voice. Anthony knew he shouldn't go inspect the noise, but...He couldn't help it, it had been ages since he had been near normal people. He didn't want the experience to stop...Not straight away anyway, it was a selfish desire, but he couldn't care less about it.
"Are you alright? You sound a little lost." He called hesitantly as he finally spotted the girl who had called to see if anyone was there.

Antique Doll 02-08-2010 01:59 AM

Alice glared at him, then turned on the ball of her foot. She recalled them mentioning something about a basement and so, she'd find her way down there. No one would stop her from doing that. "Boy are you beginning to irritate me," she muttered as she walked from the Library and turned through the living room and then the dining room. As soon as she entered the Kitchen, she pulled open the door directly next to the pantry and began to make her way down the stairs. It was much darker down there than it was up stairs and so she made sure to hold the hand rail. It took a moment but, her eyes eventually adjusted to the dark as her feet connected with the hard cement floor. Well, that was odd. What were chains doing dangling from the walls? She approached and ran her fingers across the cold steel as she servayed the place.

Lady Chello 02-08-2010 02:32 AM

Vincent let the other girl as he went to the basement. In one quick movement he was on the stairs of the basement. The door closed behind him and locked it's self as he stared down into the basement. He stared right at the girl who he had told not to go up stairs. In a quick movement he was standing on one of the roof beams of the basement keeping his eye on the girl. He looked to the door as it open again. He hoped she would leave. He shook his head mad at himself for leaving his flute out and book. This girl was quit interesting he thought though she was a bit of a pain. He wished the others would just let him deposes of the girls but he knew they didn't want any more trouble or rumors going around the village.

Antique Doll 02-08-2010 03:04 AM

Alice lifted her head when she heard the door shut then click, her eyes shot over to the door as the little light that did fall into the room faded. Upon the door opening once more she arched an eyebrow and stepped away from the chains. Now, that was odd. For one, the boy upstairs she could have sworn almost on her eyes that he was. . . transparent. Just the thought of that nearly made her crazy be she knew she'd left the door open and she saw it close and saw it open once more. She wasn't crazy, she knew that much. Her eyes looked about the room, checking for another presence. The feeling of eyes being on her back fell over her but still, she noticed no one else in the room so she ignored the feeling and continued to look about. It was then that she spotted the Flute and not far from it a book. She approached and looked over the flute, although did not touch it. She herself would not have appreciated someone toying with her instruments and so, she showed the same respect. She was curious as to which of the boys had been playing it but, decided against asking. The book however, she lifted and opened, flipping through the pages and allowing her eyes to trace over the strange words.

Lady Chello 02-08-2010 03:21 AM

"Don't touch that!" Vincent yelled as he appeared behind her he gently took it from her and grabbed the flute as he moved about the basement from her. He walked to a cabinet and fumbled inside of it placing the book in it and pulling out a box of matches. He walked over to the wall and lit one then lit a candle that was there. It lighted up the dark basement slightly. Making it able to see tools of his trade hanging from the beams as well as his metal dishes and other things he had made over the years. He ignored her as he moved about the basement looking over his things making sure she hadn't damaged any. He had forgotten he wasn't suppose to let her know he was there. He paused as he remembered they were to be playing as if they didn't know about the place. He looked over to his viles of animal blood that he had in the cabinet and small table beside it. He wished he could drink on now being so close to her made him want her blood even more. He looked back at his works as he tried not to think about her. He looked at the flute in his hand as he closed his eyes and placed it to his lips and blew into it begin to play. He didn't play as he usually would he didn't want to lure her he just wanted her to go but playing helped her always forget about his urges.

Antique Doll 02-08-2010 03:40 AM

Alice pulled her hands away and held them to her chest. When he appeared out of seemingly no where, it startled her and she stepped back watching him. "Sorry," she muttered, watching him light the candles. When the room lit up, she gazed about without speaking another word. It was more than clear to her that people inhabited this place and this only confirmed it more. As her eyes wondered she heard the sound of the flute echo through the room and then she finally realized who had been playing. She listened for a moment, then looked over to him once again and watched him play. "You're very good," she stated, looking about the room once more. "There's something awfully odd about this place, it's nothing like anywhere I've been in the village," Alice said as she walked close to the walls of the room but refrained from touching a thing. "You're absolutely horrible at hiding the fact that you live here. But, I know there's something else about this place. It seems wrong. I'd be tempted to say that it felt cursed if I actually believed in those kinds of things. There are tons of spell books here, strange things about. Nothing very normal."

Lady Chello 02-08-2010 04:41 AM

Vincent stopped playing abruptly as he heard her. He turned and stared at her. He laughed as he stared at her his fangs showing slightly. "Then you would be right. I am sick of this game of hiding it. You aren't going to stop till you get hurt. You are right about every thing so far. What else to do you think you know?" He walked about in front of her then stopped and looked back at her. "Thank you I should be after my years playing it. What kind of curse do you think is here?" He walked up closer to her as he looked at her. "This is why you should have left when you had the chance." He smiled and showed her his fangs and he laughed he moved inches from her then grabbed a vile of animal blood as he ripped the top off and drank it as he moved back to where he had been. He peered at her over his shoulder. "There are curses that could make you scared for your life. Can you guess what I am?" In a quick movement he was beside her then in another he was on the beam of the basement laughing as he stared at her enjoying this. Unlike the others she was quite fun to toy with. He looked at the door as it shut and locked. "The others where trying to keep you from me..I have a habit of playing my flute to lure your kind..." He looked back at the door as he unlocked it and open it for her to leave if she like besides he knew the others would be uneasy if he kept it closed with her down there.
