Once Kief reached Ephraim and Serena he let Akee and Clover go. Looking over at Serena he said "I know that your tired so i'm not gonna have you running." Closing his eyes Kief began to raise his hands causing the fire around them to create an orb of fire. " Okay everyone pray because this is something that i cant sustain with alot of people so i need to focus." After stating that he thought back on what Akee said. "I know that it is custom for you to have strange customs but is it necessary that one grab anothers arm. I do believe that the use of the word run is sufficient to the message across. Most intelligent beings have a natural urge to run from large animals on the hunt from food that have a roar that can trivial a few miles. This would indicate that it is rather large." Once remembering this he slowly turned and looked at her asking "were you calling me stupid"

Serena wondered what was going on but nodded, thankful that she wouldn't have to run. She winced as a new wave of pain and dizziness flooded her head. She rested against Ephraim, since she was still in his arms. She felt her eyes grow heavy, but she was determined to help the male. She focused on the gentle breeze that was blowing and tried to regain her energy from that. It wasn't a difficult thing to create a wind barrier, especially if it was only in one place. So she helped the male by creating a wind barrier that she could move to protect the group.

Ephraim picked up Serena and grimaced bitterly when she asked about him. "I'm fine, there's no reason for you to worry about me." He looked at the others as an ball of fire engulfed them. "What the hell is going on here? We definitely aren't normal and this proves it." He held onto Serena, pressing her close to his chest.

Serena relaxed when she heard Ephraim speak. She was glad that he was safe. She knew she couldn't do much in her current state so she allowed herself to zone in and out of concsiousness. She relaxed and listened to Ephraim's heartbeat. She didn't even care if he had his own personal storm or whatever. All she cared about was knowing that he was safe strange... I haven't even known him a whole day and yet I feel so... attatched to him, she thought to herself.

Akee rose a brow as she stared at him. "I have done no such thing other than to point out the errors in your ways. There is no need for you to use extra energy to carry one unless you have to. I can fly and levitate on my own. We do not know one another so there for there is going to be miss-communication between us. Your kind seem to take offense to many things making it difficult to communicate with you. You do not see the logic in my thinking I can tell, therefore things are going to be difficult between the two of us. How does the weird saying go...Oh yes if the shoe fits." Akee moved closer as she stared at him a she reviled her wings. "If you will let me pass out side please,than you will have more energy for the others. I am able to carry others if that would help you. My mental ability is high even for my kind."

"You know what I have done everything to protect to you and all I get back is more and more criticism yet no thank you. Besides i can't yet you out because if i let you out everyone will fall" he answered. Realizing what else she said Kief's mouth dropped as he listened to her. "My errors! I'm taking offense!! IF THE SHOE FITS!!!" Kief did relize it but as he began to draw all of his attendtion on to Akee he orb began to crack the temperature began to increase.

Akee put her left hand up to her head and her finger tips to her temp as she formed a barrier around the others and herself. "Enough pondering on my worlds and more concentration on what you are doing! At the rate this is going we shall all soon be experiencing the digestive fluids of some monsters. Why is your language so hard to make points in? It is ridiculous for you to expect an insult when a person states the facts. If I remember correctly we all participated in the battle there fore no Thanks is necessary. Now if you do not mind, focus on the task at hand and quite being irrational and hard to get alone with." Akee hoped she had used the words right as she focus on her mental shields around herself and the others. She didn't understand why so many humans got up set with her. She only stated the logic that was obvious. Their culture was so strange to her. It seemed that none could handle the truth or facts about themselves and they always wanted praise.

Kief turned back around and gaied speed while also turning back the temperature. "Whatever, I"ll show you concentration alright." Trying to concentrate Kief told Akee. "You know all of that talk isn't how to talk to me i'm very simple so keep that in mind". After stating that he landed the orb outside of a forest. "look we still not safe yet so lets stop for a sec."

Akee left her hand fall to her side as she closed her eyes and only shook her head. She looked to the forest turning and wandered into it finding peace. She kept near just in cause anything happen. She took a seat under one of the tall trees as she began to meditate. She had nothing else to say to Kief due to the fact that if she said anything it was the wrong thing. Simple she pondered as she meditated on its meaning. That word was an void in her vocabulary and even harder for her to understand its definition that was giving to it. For him to state he was simple was ridiculous by logic. The molecular structure that formed him was complex and intriguing, how then could he state he was simple. Even by mind he was not simple he understood what she meant though he did take offense to it. Out of all the humans he was very confusing. He made her want to probe his thoughts and mind to understand him. How could he state such a illogical statement and mean it."No wander they attacked the people, the people drove them crazy with their lack of logic and reason."

Ephraim listened to the bickering between the guy and the alien. It was a strain on him and it finally took its toll on his psyche. "Alright, look I don't want to hear your lover's quarrel. So just zip it both of you." He looked down at Serena and shrugged his shoulder nonchalantly at the girl he was holding. He placed her on the ground gently and walked away once he heard the rumble of thunder above his head. A sudden downpour of rain cascaded on him and his hair was, once again, matted over eyes.

Serena stumbled lightly when her feet touched the ground, but she used the wind to steady herself. She watched Ephraim walk away and frowned his storm is back... she thought sadly as she watched him walk away. She wished that she had the power to turn invisible. That way she could run away. So much sadness... and pain... and she couldn't do a thing about it! Why did she have to have such a stupid power as wind? It doesn't do anything! She can't protect anyone she cares about... whenever she tries she drains her energy so much that she is rendered useless! The only thing she's good for is flying... and the occasional small barrier. I'm useless... there they are, fighting it out for who knows what reason, and there Ephraim goes... for who knows what reason. And here I am... unable to do a thing. I really wish I could just... leave. I bet they wouldn't even notice, she bitterly thought to herself as she sat down, leaning against a tree, looking at the ground.

Clover could feel the tension in the air. There was bickering between Kief and Akee as well as other stuff from Serena and Ephraim. She looked around the forest they were now in and almost immediately felt uncomfortable, she was a city girl. She knew how to hind in the city, but in the trees she felt unsafe. "Could we, um, get moving, if everyone's ready to move along?" she asked, not wanting to rush them. She looked around nervously, jumping at small noises she heard in the distance.

Serena sighed inwardly and looked at Clover with a tired smile "that sounds lovely, Clover. However, I'm not sure how everyone else would feel about it" she said as a wave of dizziness and headache swarmed her. I'm really useless whenever I try to really help, she thought and rested her head on her knees.

Kief came back from his walk and saw Serena and Clover together."Where are the others"Kief asked to himself thinking of the dangers that could go down with everyone spread all over.Looking over at Clover Kief reached over and pulled out a pill."Here take this, it will help take away the pain while we rest here."

Akee rose to her feet as she heard the others talking. She rolled her eyes at the sound of Kief's voice. He apparently didn't need her and the others didn't either from what she gathered from him. She turned and began to walk further into the forest, whatever was following them wasn't use to this terrain and would be slowed down which would giver her and edge on it she thought as she ventured further and further into the forest. For some reason she couldn't stop thinking about the others and what was after them. She also couldn't stop thinking about Kief's statement. How could he be simple she wandered this thought was going to drive her crazy until she could figure it out and she knew it.
She stopped after a while unable to stop herself as she turned back. She took her place beside Keif as she kept quite and stared at the ground. She made no noise or movement as she stud there and waited for the orders to move. She didn't know why she couldn't leave but something felt wrong about leaving the group even if she wasn't welcomed in it. This would not be the first time she had stayed where she was not welcomed she thought as she closed her eyes and began to ponder again on what Kief could have meant by saying he was simple. Maybe that was her problem she thought maybe she was over thinking him after all. |

Ephraim turned around and nodded in agreement to what Clover and Serena said about moving. "We should definitely get moving if we want to stay alive. Oh and you two," he said as he looked from Akee and Kief, "Are gonna suck up those harsh feelings, we don't need two people who aren't going to cooperate. That only ends badly for the whole group." He walked away before either of the two could react and lifted Serena onto her feet. "Are you okay?," the living power cell said, "Do you need me to carry you or something?" He felt bad knowing that she got hurt protecting him.

Serena put a hand to her forehead, over come by the sudden dizziness from being lifted. After a few seconds she looked at Ephraim "I'm afraid I am still unable to walk currently, but I am getting better. Don't worry about it, I should've stopped earlier, it was my fault for not watching out for myself" she said, placing a hand on his shoulder. She smiled a small smile, she was zapped of energy and a little dizzy, but it seemed that the living battery charged her and made her feel better, more emotionally than physically, but it was still an enigma I wonder why that is... I haven't even known him one whole day, she thought.

Ephraim smiled slightly when he knew that Serena was feeling a little better. "Well, if it weren't for you I would be dead. So I'm glad you did what you did, but that sounds a bit selfish. So I guess my cloud will shrink soon." He looked up and saw it begin to dissipate. With a final crackle, it disappeared from above the young man's head. He didn't know what it was about Serena, but he did know that whenever he was around the cloud didn't stay long.

Serena smiled when she saw the cloud dissapear. She always hated that thing, it was so depressing and she just wanted to get rid of it. "I'd never done it before, to be honest. I just saw you in trouble and I couldn't stand to watch you get hurt and not help... so I did the first thing that came to my mind. Pretty stupid of me because I wasn't taking care of myself, but at least I'm able to act on instincts when need be" she told him.

Kief looked over at Akee and tried his hardest not to make a comment towards her. Getting up he walked towards his bag. As he grew closer he heard a sound coming from above. "What the hell is that", he asked looking up. Seeing the huge ball come down he tried to create an orb. "Um, I dont know how long I can hold this thing up",he yelled.

Serena looked at Kief when she heard the panic in his voice. She looked up and saw the approaching danger and she created a small wind cyclone above them. She was too weak for it to be anything spectacular, but it would be enough to buffer anything to help protect. The best part is she wouldn't even have to concentrate on it to keep it going, she could forget all about it and it would follow them like Ephraim's cloud would. She had a sudden dizzy spell, probably brought on by using her power so quickly, and she laid her head on Ephraim's shoulder. She stayed that way for awhile... even after she stopped being dizzy only because I know a dizzy spell is going to come sooner or later, she told herself, trying to sound convincing.

Akee rolled her eyes as she bolted from the group and Kief's barrier. She ran as it turned from the group and began to follow her. She cursed in her own tongue as she stopped. A grin appeared on her lips as she saw the lake beside her. She ran into it as she turned abruptly and threw up her hands as the water erupted from the lake in a fierce rage. She glared at the orb as she thew her hands out sending the water forward slamming the orb to the ground. The water disappeared as it seemed into the ground and reappeared back in the lake as Akee's eyes began to glow blue.

As the orb hit the ground, it began to glow a bright red and began to crackle."No!", Kief yelled taking the flames from the org and used it to push the orb into the air. " Everyone get down", he demanded as the orb shined as bright as the sun then exploding causing flaming shards to fall like a hail storm.
