This is a roleplay created by myself and Lemonstre. We'd greatly appreciate it if you were to refrain from posting without our permission. Thank you! :]]

It was late afternoon when Corby had finally managed to leave her boss's home and begin to make her way back home. As she peered up at the sky, it only made her pick her step up that much more. Home was a good distance away and she didn't like traveling after dark on her own. Her hair was a bit of a mess but not too much so that she would take it down and go about fixing it. Far too much trouble if you were to ask her. The sky was turning different hues orange, yellow and pale red as it began to lower behind the trees. As she walked past the tightly packed buildings she heard the soft and fading chatter of people as they grew farther and father behind her until all that was left was the tap of her shoes against the hard cobblestone. Soon enough, Corby would reach the end of town and from there, down the long dirt path, she would eventually arrive at her home. Her home really wasn't very far from the city, about a mile tops and by now, the girl was used to it. Her step was swift and her legs were strong. She knew very well that when she did arrive home, she still wouldn't be too tired. She still had things to do but Corby was sure that her mother would have a few of her chores done for her alone with dinner cooked and ready for herself and her brother.

It wasn't often that Alexander would make his way to the world of mortals, he had grown to despise their existance in fact. He only found these rare and far between trips necessary when his hunger grew so insatiable that no drink or food could quench that thirst for the elixer of life. That delicious river that flowed in every humans veins was the only reason he had to come out into the open, to risk his existance to the world. He didn't want to go home disappointed this time though, his last feeding was less than satisfying and he craved something sweet, something pure and untarnished by the taste of cigarettes or foul foods. Everything a human digested, or injested he could taste in their blood... it is why he preferred the more extravegant humans who drank wines and enjoyed a good crumb cake. He could have wine any time he wished though. He was craving something pure... the taste of blood and nothing but blood. As he walked the streets, perusing his choices of dining cuisine, his lusterous eyes became fixated on a lovely being, one who walked alone...

Alexander cross cobblestone street, trailing far behind the woman. He was intoxicated by her aroma, the smell of living flesh was like a drug and one as lively as she seemed would be a perfect meal. He approached her, reaching his pale, slender hand out to the womans shoulder and grasping it with the lightness of a feather as he walked beside her. "Miss... could you spare your time for a moment?" his voice came out like the wind before a storm. "I was looking for a good place to eat around here, do you know where I might be able to satisfy my hunger?" It was an irrelivent question as he'd already chosen his meal, but he needed to keep her longer, to access his meal. "I'm quite hungry, and i'm afraid I still have quite a long trip ahead of me. Might you help a strange this one time?"

Corby took a few steps away when she felt a hand upon her shoulder and turned to see who the voice was coming from. He was a little under her own height but not by much with different shades in his hair and fine clothing. She kept her distance when he spoke to her then looked in the direction of her home. His voice was very soothing to listen to and he seemed to speak with a hint of kindness. He surely sounded as though he needed help. For a moment, Corby wavered between inviting him to her own home for a bite to eat or pointing him in the direction of the nearest tavern. Her home was surprisingly closer but did she really want to invite a strange man to be among her family? "There's a tavern, not too far from here. As soon as to you back into town, keep going straight for a while. Don't take the first turn, take the second. It's about a fourth of a mile down that road on the right, you'll see a sign," she stated, holding her small hands together in front of her.

She looked to the man, then looked back towards her home. "I really do apologize sir, and I don't mean to be rude but my mother will surely get worried of me if I'm not home soon. It was a pleasure meeting you," she stated before she turned and began heading back off in the direction of her home. If he had anything more to say, she was sure he could catch up to her before she were too far. Her mind lingered for a moment of the smooth sound of his voice and for a moment, she even thought of how pleasant it might have been if she might have met the man during the daylight. However, she felt uneasy when strange men spoke with her after dark and she was rather eager to get home and have a bite to eat herself. At the thought of her hunger, she heard her stomach give off a soft growl and she frowned. If she were not mistaken, tonight they would be having her mother's beef stew, which was one of her favorites and at that, she gave off a small smile.

Alexander's tender lips were pursed into a smile, he watched her lips move as she spoke admiring the fine details of how she spoke with tender and caring words. How she had the most honest intentions of helping of him. "A tavern?" He turned his head, looking down the road from where they had both came and the smile that was kissing his lips left his expression as he took the moment to admire the slender woman. "I see, I can hope the food will be good." As his eyes gazed back to her he had noticed that at least in this part of town the streets were empty and he was safe to claim his food. What intrigued him more was when her stomach furled in anger, hungry for the food that her mother would be preparing. "I understand that you must go, thank you for your help my lady..." He removed his well crafted silk top-hat the feathers fluttering as he bowed to the young woman, calling after her. "Miss, Could I have your name before we depart ways too far? For such a kind woman i'd like to at least remember her name..." As his back straightened out and he placed the hat back upon his head he gazed towards the sky, watching the orange and red painted hues transform into a dark blue, and further into black as the pin dots of stars pushed their ways through the darkness to cast the subtle light onto the world. He stood in the dark, watching her walk away, both of his hands covering the ruby crystal of his cane. He would let her think he had left her life, that they wouldn't be meeting again. He had no interest in going to the taver though and was only waiting for her to be out of sight when he would trail her home. 'I will have her under my spell by the end of the night...' As he took in the final scent of her beauty, adoring the sound of her pulsing heart as it faded away with the distance between them.

It was once she had disappeared from view that he trailed after, following the most subtle signs of her trail, wether it be a kicked over rock or a foot print in the dirt. The world was like a ball of yarn to him, everyones trail mixed up and tangled, and as he weaved the less satisfying mortals out of the ball of yarn, he found the trail he wanted. It carried her pure scent the sound of her hunger and the innocence of her smile. The only creatures that could watch him this far out of town were the field mice and deer, he had chosen his prey well... a lady of pure taste and an easy victim to his spell. The only people he had to contend with to win his feast would be her family. Alexander had to access his surroundings... how he would capture her without rousing the people she loved most. He hated to spill blood without reason and he knew that if she spilt any of her families it might ruin the taste of her, which is all he was after at this point. 'I can't be traditional about this... any other woman might not fight it, but... there is something different about her.' He wondered as to why the woman had never seemed to shocked at his strange looks. He was sure many travelers didn't pass through town, none the less many dressed like him. 'she isn't easily stunned... but perhaps she is... easily persuaded into my arms...' The images in his mind of holding her in his arms, his fangs sinking deep into her flesh made him anxious like a dog begging for food.

She was almost hesitant in giving her name, she had even stopped walking for a moment to think but after a moment she saw no harm in giving him so much. It only would have been polite to do so. "Corby Parrish," she called back, hoping he was at least close enough to hear her. From there, she continued on her way home at a quicker pace than before, the face of the strange man floating about in her mind. It hadn't taken much longer for Corby to get home and once she did, she was greeted by her brother. A warm smile on his face as always, which she was more than happy to return with a smile and a warm hug. Her mother stood at the wood burning stove in the far corner of the kitchen, stirring at a black pot. Her home wasn't nothing near as fancy as those that she cleaned. However, it was warm and welcoming which was all that mattered. The place she grew up calling home. It was after greeting her mother that Corby stepped into her room and pulled her hair out of that horrible bun. Finally able to brush out the tangles. She washed her hands in a warm tub of water, then made her way back into the kitchen where dinner was ready. Her dear mother had set small bowls out for each of them and even dipped it for them, leaving the proper utensils out for herself, Corby, and her son.

While the three sat around the table, chattered about their days, she failed to mention the strange man she had met on her walk home. She knew very well it would only worry her mother and that was the last thing on earth that she wanted. The sun was far hidden behind the earth and the moon was growing higher and higher in the sky. Once they finished eating, Corby helped put away the dishes then wondered into her room after giving her family warm good nights. Alice sat on the food of her bed staring off at the wall in front of her for a moment, deep in her thoughts. It was her brother who'd broke the silence when he'd entered. "What's been bothering, you sister," he questioned, a somewhat worried look on his face. Apparently since she'd arrived home she'd been in quite the daze. It was something that she herself had yet to notice. "I met a very odd man on my walk home. I wasn't sure whether to be scared or comforted around him," she stated softly, shaking her head then tracing her fingers through her hair. She explained to him exactly what had happened, that he was only asking for directions and that she made off as soon as she could. "It's wise of you to have left when you did. You shouldn't talk to strange men at night that you don't know. You're home and you're okay now. There's nothing for you to worry about," he stated, placing an arm around her shoulder then ruffling her hair.

"You're right, it's silly of me to linger upon such things," she smiled, hugging her brother goodnight and watching him leave the room. Her mind couldn't help but wonder but, she dressed herself in her night gown, blew out the candle, and made herself comfortable in her bed. From there she gazed out the window that looked out to her mother's garden, her eyes locked on the starry sky until she finally began to doze off.

Alexander waited patiently, watching the lights of the home slowly go out as he approached the front door, impatient to reach the cuisine he would dine upon tonight. 'Let her dreams fill with the nightmares of me' he thought as his fingers touched the door, easily pushing it open as his dark presense swept through the house, taking the place hostage under his power. A power that extended from the depths of his torn open soul, object manipulation was easy for even a common vampire, but under his spell did a person realize his true strength, a strength over the human will. To manipulate the thoughts of otherwise logical people to do things they would never normally do. He could smell the hint of smoke from the candles as they were blown out, feeling the residual warmth of the resting home wash over his skin. He followed the heat signitures that Corby's living body left, from the chair she sat in for dinner to the path she took to go to bed. He extended his hand towards the hallway walls, running his finger tips over the wood to feel the grain. He admired the small decorations they had set out and the simplicity of the home. 'Such a quaint life... could someone really be so happy to live like this? Alexander had always been graced with the finer things in life, from exquisit clothes to the most comfortable of bedding, filled with goosefeathers and woven with silks. As he breathed in, his dead lungs filled with her scent and like a bloodhound he knew where he could find her.

It was there, through the darkness though that he came into trouble as he watched a male figure remove himself from her room. Though he didn't move, he knew if this man caught him his dinner was ruined. His demonic eyes focused onto the male, who carried a similar scent to his meal and he knew they were related. Like a cheshire cat Alexander disappeared into the shadows of the home, taking hold of the male from behind as he covered his mouth with that same cold and slender hand. "Shh... you'll wake in the morning. Your life is worth sparing..." he allowed his own poisonous blood to drip from his fingers into the males mouth. A toxic mixture that would send him into a deep sleep, one so he may not even wake from the bloody cries of dying children. He laid Corby's brother onto the floor, his grin like that of a satisfied murderer, though he knew the male would wake in the morning he didn't have plans to stay that long. He spun on his heels entering into the room as her eyelids were closing. "...Hn...." His smile eased into a tender grin as he approached her bed, without a sound or clue to his existance in the room. He bathed in his success, reveling in the delicious flesh and blood he would be feeding on in mere moments. His hand reached out, so to caress her skin but he hesitated... something about her sleeping there, drifting into her state of unconcious innocense forced him to hesitate and as he shook of the feeling his fingers quivered and he snarled, yelling at himself inside. 'Fool, you have devoured how many a woman and you want to show mercy now?'

He sat beside the young woman who rested on her bed, his hand gently wrapping around her cheek so as to turn her head to face him. "Beautiful, even more so in the light of this moon.... wake for me darling. Wake for me so I may see your expression... so I may hear your voice my dear lady."

Finally, she'd drifted off to sleep. Her dreams were darkness, silence. The peace that the girl had been searching for all day. She felt surrounded by warmth, as she did every other night, that comforting feeling that she only hated to let go in her wake. But just as fast as this peaceful sleep had come on, she was suddenly being pulled out of it. Her cheek pulled away from that warm feeling and was replaces by a cold softness that she never actually recalled feeling before. She knew very well it wasn't the warm fluffiness of her pillow, it was something much different from that. Her head shifted, although not by her own accord. Maybe this was apart of some strange dream she was having? Nonsense. She heard soft spoken words, ones that seemed to hang in the air of her newly come restlessness. As she released a sigh from her lips, she reached up her hand and placed it to whatever it was on her face and at once, she realized it was a hand. Her sleep had been interrupted. "Brother, you're hands. They're so cold," she muttered, however the longer she rested her own hand to his the more to came to realize that these hands were much softer than her brother's and yet, larger than those of her mothers.

Her eyes flickered open to catch sight of what she now knew as an intruder in her own home. She began to think it being as another but the sight of his face as her eyes adjusted, she was not surprised that it was him. The strange man who's face and smooth words had lingered in her mind for so long. Her calm physique was as any other day and she did not scream. Instead, her eyes remained on the man for that much longer. "Why are you in my home?" she questioned in a calm tone, lifting her hand from his and pulling herself into an upright positions. She pulled her blankets up with her, holding them over her chest. She didn't think it would be proper for a strange man she didn't know to see her in such a fashion. She was indecent. Then again, so was he for having waltzed into her home unannounced. She had no idea what his intentions were in coming in here but, as soon as she knew she figured she's call for her brother's assistance. She wasn't going to be murdered or raped in her own home. Of course, she didn't wish for such things to happen anywhere else either. "I don't recall having given you any form of invitation to come here, you have no right," she added, her eyes trailing their way to the door and then back to the man. While he was rather strange looking, he had a very attractive face. Although, she knew very well even the worst of people could be beautiful.

'Brother? Hnn... what a clever girl we have...' he thought to himself as he was graced with her pleasent voice. He didn't speak though, not so long as she was still within question of who he was. His fingers tips danced over her warm skin, gently grasping the girls jaw as if to judge her beauty. "You don't scream in fear, or run from me in terror... how brave you are." His hand left her jaw and wrapped around the back of her neck to pull her closer as he moved in to let his breath torment her skin. The air he breathed out as chilling as the dead flesh his bones were wrapped in. He removed his top hat, laying it beside him on the bed as his eyes met with hers, his flowing red and pink hues cutting the darkness in half. "No Right? ...." He hesitated to respond, to answer her questions though despite being a beast of the night, he was underneath his beautiful exterior a gentleman at heart, that gave his prey... if they wished it the answers they sought. So not to die without peace of mind of who their murderer may be. "Perhaps, to you... I have no right to be here, but your invintation was uttered loud and clear to me." He moved in even closer to her, his lips caressing her flesh like the kisses of fairies. "When you walked away from me, it beckoned me to follow... your aroma, your taste it's so fresh, so alive... to me it is an irresistable temptation." Once he was through testing her, examining her skin, adoring her lips and breathing in the scent of her rising blood did his eyes meet with her once more. "You never gave any indication, that I might not follow. Even had you said no though... You would still find yourself here with me." His smile became like an enchanting curse. "You see... I am very hungry..." His anxiousness had become a short fused bomb of anticipation and she was lighting the wick, once his patience with her questions had burned him out, he would devour all she had to offer and leave her for her family to morn over in the morning. "So my darling lady..." Despite being shorter than the woman, he was more than capable of overcoming her physically. If she dared to struggle he was prepared to keep her captive in his arms until he had the chance to devour the mortal wine she brewed within her. That very wine which gave him his youth and beauty.

"Tell me my dear lady... will you scream? Or will you give in willingly... as much as I adore a good fight I would hate to have to expend the energy to catch my food tonight." It was true that in his hunger he had reached a weakened state of being though still posessing many of his powers, his stamina was at a low. "I have already spared your mother and brother from my feasting...I don't intend to allow you to escape though."

The feel of his lips against her skin made her stiffen and the cold touch of his breath forced goosebumps to form across the entirety of her body. She was scared, oh yes. Few wished to lose their lives, she wanted hers just as much as every other woman that he had probably murdered. But, she refused to show it. Her heartbeat sped up, going about as fast as she had ever felt. "That invitation was a misconception conceived in your own twisted mind," she replied, her eyes averting and gazing out the window, up to the night sky. It was beautiful, just as every other night. But from the bitter sweet words that escaped this mans lips, it would be her last chance to gaze as something so gorgeous. To scream or not to scream? Really, what was the point? "I could open my mouth and scream as loud as I can. But in doing that, I could risk endangering my family. Because I'm more than sure that a sick man like you is more than capable of going back on his word." She stared at the man with an expression of pure disgust.

"Hungry? What is wrong with you? Do you have a hunger for murder? For human flesh? You're sick regardless," she stated, pulling away from him. Her feelings, her emotions seemed to be mixing themselves so much that she wasn't exactly sure as to how to feel. While she knew very well that this man was horrible, that he had every intention of killing her, she wished for nothing more than to reach forth and touch his soft, pale skin again. His sweet voice was drawing her in and yet she was doing her very best to pull back, knowing better than to fall to such things. He was going to kill her, that's that. Although she still failed to understand what he meant by some of his words. Was he a cannibal of some sort? How terrifying that really would be.

Alexander tuned in to the music her heart made as it pounded in her chest, sensing her fear. "My mind is no more twisted than your idea of happiness." He removed himself from her bed, allowing her time to adjust to the ideas he was presenting to her. Of death, of losing all she had... He knew it took time for people to adjust to the idea and though he might not do this for others, normally he would just delve into his feast. Yet with her he felt it necessary she accept the idea and come to terms with the thought of dying by him. His eyes met with the moon that was shining into the room, it's own light dulling the light of the very stars that made it shine and his smile faded into a complacent look of worry. There was something, something about this woman that made him hesitate from simply tearing her open like a stuffed animal and bathing in her pool of blood. Her next words infuriated him though, Going back on his word? it was unheard of... A promise is meant to be kept. His hand grabbed hold of her wrist pulling her from the bed she sat on and into his arms in a harsh and tightening embrace. "As twisted, insane, and malevolent as you might think I am... I am not such a man to go back on my word. I said I spared your family. I would not harm them so long as I have you to satisfy my hunger..." as he held her in one arm, her slender form fighting nicely against him he brushed her hair away over one shoulder, exposing the soft skin of her throat. "As I see it... you are too pure, too innocent and happy... to be tainted by the loss of your family. To make you cry would ruin your flavor... and then what good are you? I would have to settle for second best. Which the only person who comes close to you and your delicious scent is that brother of yours..." He laughed as she commented on his vileness, the very words he used against the man who transformed him into this creature he was.

"My darling... ma cherie... please. It isn't murder, nor flesh I have an unsatisfied hunger for. It is that elixer, that drink which only you mortals posess... the red wine of life." His lips kissed her neck once more, tempted to bite down and finally end this bickering between them. He could tell she was getting restless and his hunger wasn't going to be able to take much more of this waiting... he had put it off for days before he arrived here in search of his meal. Any longer and he could feel himself wanting to crawl into a coffin and wither to dust. His incisors pierced her flesh like the point of a needle, filling his warm palette with the sweet taste of her blood. His lips and tongue laping up every moment of her existance, the irresistable flavor and feeling of her withering life was as satisfying as the texture it held. In his mind he judged it like a fine wine... one made of the most exquisite grapes and fermented for just the right time. He argued with himself over this womans life wether to keep her as a banquet pet for the eternity of her life... or let her slip into the chilling embrace of death. Though he was positive she was sure she was already there... he knew what that feeling of death was like and wasn't sure if he could allow such a beastly outcome to become of this woman. To allow this endless flow of purity to drain out...

Her breathing faltered as she was forced from her bed and into this man's arms. For a moment, she toyed with the thought of being in this man's arms but then, she pushed those thoughts away, along with him. Unfortunately, his hold on her was strong and no mattered how much she pounded her fists against his chest or tried to squirm away, it was no no avail at all. Then, she felt her brown hair being pushed away and then, before she could force a word out of her mouth she felt his lips against her skin and two sharp pins sinking into her neck. Front that point forward, she let forth a single sob and from there, fell silent. Her teeth clenching together and her fingers managing to grab the front of his clothes. They tightened there, not wishing to release themselves. Corby could feel the life draining from her but, she didn't want to let go. She would fight as much as she could until her heart would stop, allowing her to return to the rest that this man had awoken her from, a much more permanent rest.

Her body grew more and more weak the more he drained her and she knew very well by then time that it wouldn't be much longer for her to live and in what she knew were her last thoughts, she allowed the images of her family to roll through her mind. Her body eventually fell limp and that tight grasp she had on his clothes was no more, her tears could no longer be held in, they rolled down her pale cheeks as she felt darkness closing in around her. The last thing she saw before she fell unconscious was the neck of the horrible man that was taking her young life away as her head took a place on his shoulder, still in his tight embrace.

It was when her body went limp, when her struggling stopped that he felt he couldn't continue, he couldn't take this womans life, yet he couldn't leave her here... not like this. She would die for sure. He wasn't completly satisfied, his hunger still raged and only taking in all of her blood would have quenched him of his hunger. He knew in what little humanity he had left that he would rather spend his days half hungry than without the taste of this womans liquids. He stared into the pale womans face, how the color of her cheeks had faded, the tenderness of her smile was gone and how even the most subtle things such as the way her hair fell or how her eyes looked in the light seemed as dull as the empty cooridores of his own home. "My darling... I am terribly sorry, but I must extend your suffering." He whispered to her, not knowing wether she was cognitive enough to hear him though he knew it wouldn't matter either way. He took one of her frail and chilling hands in his own, kissing her knuckles. "You will have to forgive me for this... Though I know you will not." He laid her over the bed, his ear placed to her chest as he listened for the subtle hints of life that might still remain in her, and as he hovered over her, picking out the faint beat of her heart that had pounded so fast before he knew he didn't have much time to ensure her survival. Not risking another second to the cold grip of death, he parted the young womans lips, taking them into a kiss as he breath his own eternal life into her. Commiting a part of his own dead soul to her own, so for as long as he was alive, she would live until the life he gave her was no longer needed and she might be able to fend and walk on her own. 'I can't leave her here, not for these monsters. Mortals wouldn't know how to take care of her... they'd burry her alive.'

He picked her up from the bed feeling a subtle warmth in her as he left her home, carrying her in his arms like a dying bride and as he embraced the moonlight, taking in the dark of night as he found his passage to a world of eternal darkness, where the vampires dominated this otherworldly kingdom, where night was darker than any night and daylight never embraced the bleeding, lifeless lands. Though the spirits walked quietly with peace of mind here it was the creatures such as Alexander that determined the beings who thrived here... A world so similar to that of which Corby came from yet, different as even the leafless trees seemed to cry and bleed in pain and the clouds rained down malice and shame. It is here, that he would keep her until her life was at an end, and wether she learned to embrace this world or not, he would keep her captive and make her a delightful treat when he wished for something sweet. Alexander entered into his home, with a renewed strength that was fueled by the darkness of this world and the fresh drink that coursed through his body, his light form moved quietly through the corridores, bringing the girl into a gorgeous room that was adorned in fine velvet curtains and a large canopy bed where he laid his new pet down. He knew for her to keep her pure taste he must make sure this woman reamained happy... he would use all he had to maintain her pure taste...

Total and complete darkness had encased her, she felt as though there was really nothing left. Felt? No, she felt nothing. She knew there was nothing left. But was this the end? Total darkness? Would things remain like this for the remainder of eternity? She stopped and allowed images to run through whatever was left of her. Images of her life, even all the way back to when her father was still alive, when the farm was okay, before her oldest brother had left. These thoughts she did not want to stop. What Corby wanted right now, more than anything else was to enter those images and play back time. To relive what was going on in what she saw. But, she couldn't reach. To be with her father once again and to embrace her sweet brother who she thought had been gone for far too long. But as these images progressed and as her memories traveled on, the farm began to die and so did her father. She wanted to cry, but where she was tears would not pour forth. But Corby was okay with this. Her brother left, she began her work. Men came into her life and left, friends came and then by the next memory they were gone forever. She wasn't sure how long it had taken for where she was time had stopped but finally her memories came to that man. The man that took her life. When she thought it would pass, him looking to her as she sat in her bed, it stopped, rewound, then continued on. This it did over, and over, and over again. She could barely take it. His soothing yet horrible face flashing through her mind over again.

Corby tried to scream but quite frankly, it was to no avail. But just as she began to try her best to ignore the painful images she was seeing, she felt almost a tug and before she knew it, she could feel again. The comfort she felt was like no other. The softest blankets she'd ever felt and the finest pillow. Could this have possibly been heaven? Had she lived a good enough life to deserve such an eternity. Her eyes remained shut as her fingers toyed with the cloth, how nice it really was. Not like her ones back at home. She did her best to pull at them but as soon as she did, she realized how weak she was and how cold she was becoming. How odd. She rolled over and onto her side as best she could then allowed her eyes to flicker open. What she was appeared nothing of heaven, nothing she ever would imagine. Things seemed so much darker, although still gorgeous. She must have managed to survive, somehow. But where she was, she did not know. Corby closed her eyes and thanked whatever power allowed her survive such an attack, then allowed her hand to trace up her side and to her neck where she'd been bit. Finally, she gingerly lifted herself up and gazed at a portion of the room before she felt as though she needed to lay back down. How long had it been since the attack?

It wasn't often or ever really that humans would come into this world and Alexander knew that for bringing one here he would face a trial of the highest jurisdiction. What the people didn't know though wouldn't harm them. What concerned him more though was not how to hide the fact that he had brought a mortal to his home but how to take care of this woman in a world that had very little to support her. He sat for a long time in his study, going over pages and pages of past memoires, finding any clues as to what he might be able to use to bring this woman joy so she might stay by his side, not that she had a choice in that matter and be happy. The happiness was a much more concerning factor as he could tell this woman was not fond of death, which is one thing this world had plenty of. From the burned out sun to the weeping trees, everything seemed to be dying in this world. The only life that would spring up from the ground any more is when they were blessed by the light of a falling star. Even the moon seemed to dim upon this world. He would have to grace this woman with things she would never have had before, trinkets and clothes... anything exquisite. As long as she had some sort of joy and hope in her heart he knew her blood would taste as pure and fresh as the first bite. Alexander retrieved two glasses from the kitchen where several young and astranged gremlin servents were prepairing a meal of less deadly tastes. They looked to him with curiosity though they figured the reason he needed two glasses and a bottle of exquisite wine was to partake is some sort of carnal acts. He might be dead, but he could still feel. It was the opposite though, he had no intention in seducing this womans body. He knew wine dulled the pinch of pain, and as he entered into the room he'd designated for her, the candles flared up shedding light upon her figure which laid there in the bed. Surprisingly awake if it only be slightly so.

"It is good to see you can move a little..." he placed the glasses upon a redwood side table, intricuit carvings of large exotic birds adorned it. The table it's self matched a dresser which was held up by glass eggs, with large parrots that roosted atop them. On either side of the dresser were carvings of trees and other wild life that would normally never be seen by common eyes. The dresser it's self seemed to be in perfection condition, except for the mirror which had taken a beating... as a large crack started from one side and ended at the other, fragments of the glass glinted as they had fallen onto the top of the dresser, it was obviously a fresh break to it. Alexander poured the wine into the glasses, waiting to see if there was a response from her. "...I know you might be weak now but you'll regain your strength. I am sure once you do, you'll find away to avenge what i've done. Though, you should feel lucky that i've spared you. Had I drank any more, or let you lay there any longer without giving you the last bit of life I might of had left... your mother would have found you dead on your cold floor." He sipped from his own glass, as he sat on the plush goosefeather bed, his back to her as he stared to the ceiling. "You can yell at me if you wish, but I don't think it will do much good..." he cocked his head over his shoulder to see what she might be up to and smiled. "Do you like it?... the room I mean. I thought it was fitting of your beauty..."

He spared her? After going on and on about killing her, he allowed her to live? She didn't care much for the room in general. It was extravagant, beautiful even. However, having grown up a simple life Corby had learned to except the simplest of things and to be happy with them. Her family never would have dreamed of having owning such things but, she was fine with that. When you grew up with so little, you cherished the gifts you received so much more than those who had everything they could have ever wanted. What Corby wanted was home and this, was not it. It would never be it if she had anything to do with it. But, she had no idea where he had taken her. As of that moment, she felt the safest in comparison to every other time she was around him. He nearly took her life, any yet he gave it back. Why? She did not know. Doing as best she could on her own, she pushed herself back and lifted her torso up. Carefully, she placed her back to the headboard and slid her feet beneath the layering of the blankets, then pulled them up to cover herself just as she had before. Her eyes narrowed on the man, then turned towards the wall. "I wont waste my breath yelling at you, there's really no point,. What's done, is done. However, someone's bound to come for me. They'll see I'm missing and come looking for me. I'll wait patiently for them," she said, her eyes dropping the the blankets of the bed only to glance up for a moment at the man's face.

It was a face she knew that she would never forget from the moment she had met him. "It's a gorgeous room," she said in reply, dropping her gaze away from him, she moved herself slightly to be the smallest bit further from him. The last thing Corby wanted was to be near someone who was so ready and willing to take her life. Or was he? He said he was going to kill her, and then he didn't. He nearly drained her, but he made sure she was alone. What a confusing man he was. "Why didn't you just kill me like you said you would?" she asked, turning her head back up once more to find those mysterious eyes of his. It was a question she really wished to know the answer too. How many others lives had he spared after convincing them he would take it? Was she the only one or were there others? These questions weaved through her mind but she didn't bother to ask.

Her frustraition with him was obvious, but what irked him more was her persistance to believe that she had a hope of returning home. His eyes were focused back towards the luxuries of the room, it even had it's own bath that was hiding behind a sheer red curtain. The bed it's self could have fit five or more people with ease. He didn't have to look at her though to feel she was still very weak with how she struggled to move. He reached across the bed to hand her the glass of wine he had poured for her holding the offering to her. "Don't worry, I wouldn't poison you... there would be no point in doing so. I have no intentions of taking of your life right now." He pulled the long strands of his hair over one shoulder so he wouldn't have to deal with sitting on it while he spoke to her. He was positive there were quite a few questions stirring inside of her and knew they would come out in good time, as all of the people he'd ever given a second chance too had many questions for him. Mostly the Whys and Hows of what he had done to them. "You will be waiting for a long time my dear. They may know you are missing... but there isn't a mortal soul who might find you here. As loved and cherished as you are I am afraid that you will spend the rest of your mortal life here with me."

His expression seemed sad as he sipped from his own glass of wine, a rich bordou that he had kept for special occasions. He thought none more special though than now where he was able to admire the one beautiful thing in this world. In truth he wanted nothing else, no one else to see her though he knew deep in his heart he would be found out for bringing this mortal woman here and with no intention to kill her... he was going to face quite the persecution. He could hope they might understand his story. "Why I didn't kill you.. I figured this question would come up..." his eyes closed, the long lashes twinning together as he disappeared into his thoughts searching for an answer. "You could say I felt mercy... though that isn't quite it. The issue became when I started to drink from you.... Your taste was so warm, so alive and sweet I couldn't let that go. It might have been one of my more foolish decisions but that blood that keeps you alive and yet was your death wish the moment you met me was the same thing that spared you. Your taste is one that very few of my kind ever come across and realize they should keep before it is too late." He sipped at the wine once more, the pallette of his thumb moving acrosss his lips to wipe away the excess. "I had thought about letting you die, so no other could try and feed from you, but... with blood as sweet as yours I was more willing to protect you myself. You see, you have become very important to me as a main source of blood... I do not feed very often and I am very picky from who I feed. You, will be like a dessert.. a small taste of delicious sweets to end my meal..."

She was hesitant at first but, Corby took the wine glass carefully in her hand and held it down in front of her. Her dark eyes gazed upon it for a long and silent moment, then brought it to her lips and took the smallest sip. She wanted nothing more than to throw the glass across the room and shattered on the wall across from them but, she didn't. Different ways of trying to get herself back home floated about but in then end, he could have simply killed her just to end any annoyance that she might have caused him. But in the end, maybe that would be her only way out? At that point, she almost wished he'd poisoned the wine. "It may take time, but I have faith," she muttered, running her fingers up and down the neck of the wine glass, chewing on her lower lip for a moment. She had no idea as to where he had taken her, how far she was from home. But she was gonna get home, one way or another. Even if she smashed out a window and climbed down the side of the building she was being kept in. She had a lot of determination, it was like she never really knew when to give up. But at the same time, it helped her move on through her life during hardships and this really seemed like it would be one to her. After taking another sip of the wine, she watched the liquid sway in the glass then, she downed the rest. The wine was very pleasant in taste, however she no longer cared more for the taste, but more for the feeling of suttle relaxation after the second, third, sometimes forth glass. With that, she held the glass in his direction.

"You keep me alive to feed on me for the remainder of my days?" she questioned, letting out a hard laugh then narrowing her eyes on him. "I refuse to be a part of your disgusting meal, I want nothing to do with such grotesque things," she said, although she knew for herself that she didn't exactly have a choice in the matter. He spared her life, after nearly taking it, and took her to this place against her will. If she refused, he'd simply hold her as before. He was strong. Much stronger than Corby even in her healthiest state. In that moment, she realized for herself that she was not in a position to make very many choices for herself. This was a place she may come to know very well, although she still felt as though she would be found if given time. Leaning her head back, she placed it on the hard surface behind her and closed her eyes if only for a moment but as they shut she felt as though they were trying to pull her back off to sleep, to rest and regain her strength but this was something she didn't want and so she forced her eyelids back open to stare at the ceiling.

Alexander stood from the bed and with an unheard of speed he was standing beside her, leaned over her frail body like a nightmarish temptor. "Faith is something the religious have... there is no god here. Such a being abandoned this world a long time ago. Wether or not you accept your new home will make no difference though. You see... for as long as you are in this home you are mine." His back straightened out as he set his empty glass down, refilling hers with a softened smile. "You really only have two options my dear. You can wait here, hoping for that prince charming to save you or you can try to leave... and when you reach some sort of township and realize you are the only living mortal in this world, and that your very being here is dangerous not just to your self but to this household... it is then that you will be hunted by more than just myself. Everything outside of this home is more than willing to devour your very flesh..." He moved to the window slowly, pulling the curtain back just slight so he could view the dead lands. His eyes glanced over his shoulder to the woman on the bed as he pulled the curtains back revealing the decreped lands, the leafless trees and the dead grass. Not a single bird or mouse scurried outside. "When you realize how far from home you are, you can find me in the library..." He left the half drunk bottle of wine for her, the doors slamming behind him as he left her room demanding that one of his servents guard her door. He was fed up with her insistance that someone would come for her when she was in a place not even apart of the human realm. What angered him more was the he hadn't even received a king gesture from her for sparing her life. 'That foolish girl... no matter how she might taste there is no blood worth her benevolent attitude...'

He understood very clearly that she was upset for being taken away from her family and nearly killed. That was a concept of pain he understood himself, it was her lack of respect for him that was frustraiting him, how she freely talked back to him with the manners of a mule as if he was no better than a farm animal. 'We'll see how long she can hold onto her "Faith" before she breaks... I will turn that faith into despair and her despair into want, that want will become the need to survive and thrive here. That.. is what needs to become of her...' He approached a large wooden and velvet cushioned chair in the library, a gold bound book was already placed in the seat and he smiled. A smile of what would have been perceived as joy. "Ah, it is you... how we meet again like this... you wish to talk my fair one? ... then let's talk..." He was speaking to the book of course, which may have been strange but his connection to this artifact was more than just for reading material. He took his place in the chair, opening the book to a premarked page. the words upon the very pages he looked at shined with a bright light as they rose from the page embracing Alexander in their context. "what do you mean to tell me my dear... this is no mistake..." the pages flipped, as it to tell him more and as he listened to their premonitions he slammed the book shut, throwing it aside. "As if you would understand... someone like myself will not be so easily tricked by your foolish words."

Corby wasn't exactly the most religious type herself. However, she did believe there was a god. Then again, why would she go through these sort of things if he really were out there? She was a good enough person, she did no one wrong and she did her best to make everyone happy. But did she really want to make a man who put her through so much happy. Was that possibly what it would take to get her back to her family? From the way he spoke, there was little to nothing she could do. For now, she would have to cope with the situation. She watched as he pulled open the curtains, her eyes widening if only for the slightest moment, she looked over the land outside the window. It seemed wrong. So very, very wrong. She glanced back down at her glass for a moment and took longs sips of it's delicious contents. Really, it was the finest wine she'd ever tasted, not one could she compare it to that she had tried previously. When he left the room, Corby carefully sat the wine glass on the table closest to the bed and slid herself to the edge. Her bare feet touched the cold wood floors causing her to shiver. When she stood, her night gown fell just past her knees and swayed as she stumbled towards to window to take a closer look. What she saw outside was almost devastating.

Where were the birds. Red birds, blue? Or the owls that called in a deep voice over the wind to her in the night? The green, orange, red, yellow. The colorful trees that she once looked upon in the trees outside her home weren't there. The colors here were so dull, everything seemed so dead to her. Like nothing she'd ever seen in her life. Winter was more beautiful than even this, leaves having vanished off trees during that time but still with a thin white coating on the ground. Not even the slightest idea of where she happened to be crossed her mind and then, that hope she held so strong to began to slip away. Her mind began to race as she felt herself falling into this depression, she couldn't let herself down. She couldn't push away what might be the only thing that would keep her going. So before it withered, Corby took a hold of whatever was left of her and pulled it back together. She play by his rules, stubbornly do as he said. But she truly felt that she wouldn't be forgotten. Wherever she was in the world, she would be found. She would be saved. No matter how much of a lie she might have begun to think it was, she would continue to tell herself that regardless.

Her dainty fingers remained firmly grasped to that window seal, until she could no longer look at the wasteland behind the glass. She pulled the curtain to then lazily stumbled back to the bed, sitting on it's soft edge. The wine glass managed to find it's way back into her hands and she finished off the second glass. Her eyes began to wonder back over the room. The elegant carvings in the dressers, the smooth cloth that made up the blankets. Each detail of the room, she took it and lingered on. Eventually, she pushed herself back up and staggered to the door. She opened it, only for a moment before she closed it once more. Unfortunately for her, someone seemed to be standing outside the door. She should have known better. Once she made her way back to the bed, she pulled herself up and laid back on top of the blankets, staring up at the ceiling. She wished at the moment to at least know his name. She knew where he was but, would the guard even allow her to see him and would asking a name be a decent enough reason for her to disturb whatever he would be doing?

Alexander found himself studying up on the mortal kind, pulling books and book from the shelves of his library telling of the history of humans, though his memory was good, and though he used to be mortal himself. He had forgotten much of what human ate, drank, and the basics needed for them to live somewhat comfortable. He wasn't about to let his new pet starve to death because she couldn't eat the kind of traditional foods he might enjoy. Over the many hundred years he had been this way... his tastes had grown to accept and love the foods of the mythical world where he dwelled. Though these foods were more potant in flavor than anything he could remember of mortal foods he knew some of them were killer to mortals, in fact some were designed just to look desireable to humans so they might eat them and soon after become a meal themselves. To Alexander, mortals were the lowest of the low on the food chain and though he ranked them according to taste they were the most widely hunted creatures and sometimes the most saught after delicacies. His eyes were tired though of reading through the books and all he could really focus on was the taste of her blood as it was dripping down his throat. There was something so refreshing about it that brought out a primal instinct to defend her until he was positive that nothing else would come after her. His eyes were beginning to close and as they shut out the world his ears tuned into the many sounds around him as he slumped in his chair, falling into a sleep. Though he remained alert of his surroundings and the comings and goings of his staff.

It was only minutes later that he awoke from his day-dream and without a word or thought to himself or anyone else he rose from the chair, leaving the library and home behind him as he trailed off through the back gates into the dead world, where the ivy vines grew without leafs and the most ancient of trees would crumble to dust. It was true that at one point this world was green, it had life and it had been a beautiful world full of thrilling oddities to admire, but it was as the creatures of night took over did it transform into this garbage dump of death. ' She came from a world of beauty, living in the farmlands all she knew was greens and earth....I can't revive these lands, or bring life to any of these flowers but I can turn the ugly of death into a beautiful thing...' He stood in what would have been a blossoming garden full of life and though that life was gone he knelt beside the drooping roses and wilted lilacs, touching their delicate petals. "This isn't in the order of things, but I require something of this world... grant this death field beauty to biased eyes..." As he spoke, the vines and plants spread over the garden, even though they were dead they grew with a strange life a forced method of beauty as the flowers opened up once more and looked more black than the plague. Even the few creatures that did live in this wasteland were transfigured into walking skeletons. Alexander watched as his gardens grew, the trees spreading and blocking out large amounts of the grey clouded sky. The rose bushes spreading over the stone walkway and vines entwining onto the sculptures covering them like a controlling master of the arts.

"...She may be far from home, she may be unreachable and disgusted with me... but even as this isnt a green land it is alive with the spirit of death... it is something even she can come to appreciate..."

Dark eyes flickered open and a gasp escaped her mouth as Corby pushed herself up, waking from her sleep. She wasn't sure exactly how long she had been out but, it didn't seem to be getting any brighter outside. While she felt well rested, she didn't feel as though time had changed by much at all. Upon standing, her body ached the smallest bit but not so much that she couldn't handle. She shivered slightly. It seemed she had fallen to sleep on top of the soft blankets, chill bumps covered her so she did her best to rid herself of them, rubbing her upper arms. She approached the broken mirror, curious as to what exactly broke it, and fixed her hair. She had no brush of her own with her and so she replaced it with her fingers. It was the all she had to make herself look at least halfway presentable. She finished and after, approached the bedroom door. It was a moment but, she finally opened it and peeked outside. She was growing hungry and had decided that she was much too cold to remain in such a thin night gown for the remainder of her time here. Not only that but she refused to dress in such away around people she did not know. Still a guard stood there, although she was unsure if it were the same person as whoever was there previously. She didn't look him in the face but instead, looked up and down the hall.

"I need to speak with. . . Well, I'm not entirely sure of his name. He told me he'd be in the library when I needed him, although I'm not sure as to how long ago that was," she stated, before sighing and looking up to the guard. He appeared strange to her, for reasons she could not pinpoint and eventually, she no longer wished to look him in the face and so, she finally looked to the floor as he led her down the hall. Following a few feet behind him, her eyes gazed about the corridors. The paintings that adorned the walls were unique and quite exquisite. Like nothing she'd ever seen before. However, nothing about this place was like anything she'd seen before. So dark and sad, when she so much preferred to see the beauty in things.

The guard stopped to speak to who she assumed to be another servant, although she didn't exactly bother to listen to the two chat. She looked to a door, which she assumed was the library, although she was not surprised when she was led away and down the hall. After doing a little more walking, she was eventually led to the back door and down a path a little ways. The guard stopped and pointed her in the direction. Corby looked back to see the guard watching her walk along, then she looked forward looking along the path, she watched as dark vines twisted around sculptures and black rose bushes seemed to come to life. It was almost refreshing and she couldn't help but cover her mouth in sheer amazement as she watched it happen. Finally, she saw him and approached, slowing her pace. "You did this?" she questioned, her gaze moving from him and over the plants. They were not as bright and colorful as the plants she was used to, but nothing about this world was bright and colorful. However, that fact did not seem to pull away from it's beauty in the slightest bit. "I never asked your name," she added, looking back to the man.

It was warm outside, despite the lack of sunshine and the presense of looming storm clouds. Though those always seemed to be there. He could hear the shuffling of the guards footsteps and the movement of fabric from Corby's gown. He looked up in time to see her approaching, questioning the array of growing plants as they started to spread up the trees filling the empty branches with dark flowers. Without a word he removed his heavy suade jacket over the chilled girls shoulders. He could tell she was cold still, despite the warmth it would only have been a mere 50 sum degrees which to a mortal might still be cold. "Perhaps... I did." He responded with a sense of disappointment to his voice. "My name, what would you want to know that for? Would it ease your mind to know the name of your captor or is it only so you can pretend to be formal towards me while you await your savior?" He turned from her, walking further down the path with each step the vines and branches cleared away and would crawl back over the path behind him. "My name... my name.... no one asks those kinds of questions towards me any more. They wouldn't have a reason to... it's been so long since i've ever heard it said i've almost forgotten..." As he returned to her from where ever he had gone he held in his hand a small bloom, a rose that had yet to open and join the surplus of velvet soft petals. He crushed the small blossom in his hand, the petals becoming like the ash of a volcano. "People knew me as Lord Alexander Valencourt..." His eyes drifted up to Corby's his hand releasing the black ash of the petals. For a while it drifted in the air, flowing freely around them as it seemed aimless and carried about depending on which ever way the wind took it, only a moment passed though between Alexander and Corby when from the wind the smallest of small birds came to roost on Corby's shoulder, hopping between one shoulder to the next and back again. It's feathers as black as ash and soft as velvet. Yet its eyes as red as the pollon of roses. "A friend for you, as I know you will get lonely while you wait for that savior."

Alexander didn't want to say much to her, he wasn't sure how to approach this woman without making her feel the need to run away, as all he craved was her blood even when he was readily fed. "I know, you are probably going to get upset here, and hate me more with each passing day, but... as much as you'd like to hear that I've even thought of letting you return to your home I can't tell you that. This is your home as of now, so do as you wish here but I will not let you leave this place though i will try to make you feel comfortable." He held his slender finger up to the chest of the bird, the small fowl hopping onto it without a second thought as he gently stroked it's back. "He will be your little bird, that will always be able to guide you to me if you ever have the need. His life is as eternal as mine..." It was hard for him to find the words that wouldn't come out harsh and unthoughtful. It was unlike him to want to please his guests but she was going to be a long term resident and the least he could do is make sure she was comfortable being so far away from her actual home. "Tell me, what is that you miss the most from your world?"

She pulled the jacket close and shook off the chilled filling she had. She was a slim girl and even the slightest cool breeze seemed to hit her bones and send chills down her spine. Corby turned her head to the side as he asked her why she'd want to know his name. Why would anyone want to know anothers name, the same reason he asked for hers. As he walked, she followed closely behind him, paying little attention to the moving vines that slid away from their path. "Well, I need to call you by something and I'd rather not fumble for words to decide on what I should call you," she stated, simple enough. She wondered if he had expected her to refer to him as sir or "that man" for her time being there. She held back a small laugh from the thought, then returned the look when he spoke his name. "Alexander. That sounds like a fine name," she spoke, then dropped her gaze as he crumbled the petals. She was the smallest bit startled when she took note of the small bird that was perched on her shoulder but the second she realized that it meant no harm, a genuine smile slipped over her face. "Thank you," she stated, watching him allow the bird on his finger.

The bird was dark but it was quite adorable and she already knew she'd grow to care for the tiny bird quite dearly. Even if she began to hate everything else about this place, she'd have at least one thing to love. "I don't wish to spend the remainder of my life wallowing in hate and sadness. This place may never truly become home to me but if I have to I will grow accustomed to it, in time," she stated, lifting a hand and with a single finger gently rubbed beneath it's chin, then dropped her arm once more beneath the heavy coat. "Aside from my family, it's hard to say. My brother and my mother meant the world to me," Corby said, then fell silent for a moment in thought. She lived quite a busy life, although she spent the majority of her time working, or traveling to the market to get food for her family. She didn't have the money or time to spend at the theatre and work was very hectic to her. "I miss color. This place is so dark and dull, it will he hard to get used to. And I miss taking walks along the riverside, and through the woods on a warm day. And watching the children play when I cared for them at work. The simple things, but there wasn't more to my life, to tell you the truth. But I was okay with it all," she said, looking down to her bare feet and then back to Alexander. She was sure he'd think her silly but really, things were very easy going. The most exciting part of her life were her father's tales but she knew very well that nothing in any world could replace those.

Alexander wasn't sure if this womans lack of fear was from her own will or his words. Had he truely convinced her that there was no escape from here, had she accepted that kind of fate? It was doubtful to him, mortals were easy to fool but their emotions no matter how weak willed one is were the hardest of all to control. He felt her comments were sarcastic and simply a ploy until she could find his weak point and exploit it. 'This woman is either clever, or I am the fool here...'

"Alexander, it is no better a name than yours. After all a name is only as good as the person who holds it and I am not worth the name I am given...." He unbuttoned the cuffs to his form fitting dress shirt as he rolled the sleeves back a bit and let his hat rest on the branches of a tree. "You see... my name means 'The defender of man' and as you know already... I do no such thing. I never have." She might not have heard of him, or his kind before or understood where she was at the moment but as he listened to her explain her wishes, how she missed her mother and brother and the bright colors of her world. He knew he could never bring those colors to this place, to this monochromatic repository of graves. "I see..." He was in fact, one of the most colorful creatures to live in this world, from his pale complexion and exotic hair, to the neon eyes he stood out from the world around them like a firefly in the dark. 'Walks along the riverside, and throught he woods? She is so attached to those things to miss them?' and what of the children? Alexander had no such thing of his own, and he wasn't about to go and abduct them from the mortal realm.. he could provide a river and a forest but the children were a lost cause. He figured those specifics were nothing though and that her appreciation for the small things in life was all she was inclined to enjoy. ' What could be enjoyed here? she adores these flowers, that bird... but the exquisities that would bring her to be facinated with this realm are nothing to her... He decided then, that he would get her to love those exquisite things, lavish her in things she would never have dreamed of. Make these extravegant dresses and beautiful jewels become so common day they seemed like no more than that bird on her shoulder.

"I can never take you to a place where there will be the colors you enjoy, but I can ease your mind as to why." He took hold of her wrist, leading her back into the estate to the library where he had initially intended to meet her. "Years ago, long before you or I was ever born, this world and the one you know and love.. were one place..." He glanced to her, knowing she was listening to his words he let her wrist go as he lifted from the ground like a bird he drifted up to the top most shelves of his library, searching the titles and authors for something specific. He pulled what he was looking for from the shelves, staring down at her he knew this might seem strange to her to see someone just floating about the room. His eyes closed gently upon eachother and he drifted down back to the floor where he handed her the book, opening it up to several pages. "It was a world where the days were the brightest days you could imagine and the nights the darkest nights ever known... There was a horrible unjustice though, and the world of mortals and myth were seperated, creatures like the werewolves of your novels and the pixies of your fairytale dreams were locked away in a volume of endless pages. Our story writen by the very kind that seperated this world from your own. As you kept the color, ours faded from existance, the darkness taking over so not even stars shined in the night." His eyes met with hers and he smiled, knowing that her hopes of returning were going to be shattered. "There are some, like myself who hold the way to travel between the two realms... it is us few who provide you and the other mortals with those nightmares of vampires and ghosts..."
