rin's eyes fell on melrose and she smiled again. "so how did they do it? it wouldnt hurt to help." she stood up and walked over. "never say never!" she said determined.

Tellyah opened her eyes with a start and sat bolt up right. "Where the hell am I?" She said looking around. She spotted other people, a boy and a girl who was near him, other were scattered around the room. "Who the hell are you people?" Tellyah felt a throbbing coming from her right hand and looked down to find a blue ring on her middle finger. "What the hell?" she whispered trying to take it off. "What won't it come off?" she said louder. She took a deep breath, then looked at the duo again. "I take it the door is lock?" she said swinging her legs off the bed and walking towards them. "Great."

rin smiled widely at the sound of another voice. she hurried over before anyone else and held up her hand to show her ring. "yup! im rin. rina takashi!" she continued smiling as if she wasnt locked in a room against her will, "what's your name?" she asked exitedly.

Tellyah looked at the child who had run up to her. "Hi." she said nodding. "You're just a bundle of energy aren't you?" she smiled. No time to be cruel Tell. she thought. She straightened and said. "My name is Tellyah. I've never seen any of you people before. Is something bad happening? I mean why else would we all be in the same room? Someone must have brought us here." Out of habit, she hugged the child. "I'm sure your parents miss you. I'll help you find them, if you want me too."

Ink groaned as she woke up"You make so much noise!" She fumed, sitting up in her bed,"Just wait till everyone wakes up."
She ran a hand through her tangled white hair,"Better than running from the cops."
Ink scanned the room,"Names Ink, how bout you guys?"

"I'm Tellyah." she said looking at the newly awoken girl. "I know about as much as you do. The door is locked. We can't get out."

"and im rin!" she hugged the girl, called tallyah back and stood up. "wow, more friends!" she smiled widely.

"How sure are you that we're all going to be friends, little one?" Tellyah said, letting go of Rin and walking back to "her" bed.

rin frowned at her. "because were all the same, right?" she tilted her head and smiled again.

"Pleased to meet'cha," Ink replied.
She started to look through her backpack, and found a pack of pocky, she took one and stuck it in her mouth.
"I know its a wierd name but I like the way it sounds."

"And how are we the same?" Tellyah said getting annoyed. She didn't want to be compared to the happy go lucky people in this room. "I mean, sure, we were all " *makes quote gesture* " put in this room. But that doesn't mean we're alike." Tellyah folded her legs indian style and began to meditate. "I mean," she said. "How old are all of you? 12? I'm the only adult here. What do I have in common with any of you?"

"I agree with Melrose," Ink said,"Just because you're older doesn't mean anything."

Tellyah looked over at the girl wrapped in a blanket. "Fine. How about we get to know each other. I'm Tellyah, as I said earlier. I like boating, fishing and swimming. I was raised in a small port town, and I work in a dingy fish factory. Well, I did. I bet I'm fired now. Life's been rough for me. My parents died when I was young, I don't have any other living family members and now I'm stuck in a room with a bunch of cheery kids." she looked at eh girl who just spoke. "Yeah. Being older does mean something. It means that I'm responsible for all of you now."

Tellyah laughed. "Thanks for telling me my place. Sorry about the sarcasm, by the way. It's just the way I cope." Tellyah shook her head and tried to change the subject. "I guess we all must be orphans, then? Our thing in common I mean. I bet they want us for experiments. Choose people who won't be missed by anyone."

"I can take care of myself, I've been doing it for the past 13 years." Ink retorted.
"A bit too full of yourself eh?"

rin frowned. "but im 14. im not a kid either. i can perfectly take care of myself." she shook her head stubnornly and crossed her arms, blushing in anger. "i dont need anybody. but i like friends. thats all." she huffed.

Tellyah was getting in over her head. "Look. I'm just trying to be a leader, okay. I did the whole depression thing. I woke up in a hospital within inches of my life. That was 3 years ago. I've tried to be a different since then." She shook her head again and stood, grabbing her blanket. She walked to where Melrose was, and said "Here. Looks like you need this more than I do." She walked back to her bed and sat down. "This thing, whatever it is, won't be easy. But you guys are right. We need to be in it together."

Ink yawned again,"Well I'm Ink as you know, and I like sweet foods, sparring with my scythe, and flying around." She picked up her scythe and waved it around and put it back down.

Tellyah looked at Ink. "You have a weapon?" she asked.

rin frowned again. "weapons are bad. they hurt people."

Ink nodded,"Yeah so? It's called self defense." She stuck another pocky in her mouth.
