Tellyah smiled. "Not always Rin. Sometimes they can be used to help people. Or protect yourself. And a of right now, Ink looks like the only one who has a chance of beating whatever is on the other side of that door."

rin smiled slightly feeling better and continued, "but what if the people arent bad? every one is good sometimes." she smiled wider. "then we wouldnt need to hurt them, right?"

Tellyah laughed. "If they were good, why did they lock us in a room?"

Melrose smiled at Tellyah and gratefully took the blanket, at this rate she could make a fort out of the three blankets she had, the thought made her laugh. When she saw the pocky her eyes light up and she stared at it. Pocky was one of the few tresures she had at the orphanage, she had a secret stash in of ot the books she hollowed out in the study. She hoped no one would find it now that she was gone..

rin frowned again. "oh. thats right." she looked at the door thinking hard.

Tellyah stood and walked over to Rin. "Don't mind me. I'm just an old cynic." she hugged the girl.

Ink nodded,"It helps when you have nothing else to do but fight."
She glanced at Melrose,"Want some pocky?"

rin hugged her back and smiled at her. "you remind me of my mommy." she lept hearing the word pocky and ran over as fast as her feet would take her. "you have pocky!!!?" she exclaimed.

Melrose nodded excitedly when she was offered some and smiled at Ink. "Yes, please."

Ink sweatdropped at Rin's bouncy behavior and handed her some pocky,"Here you go," Then she walked over to Melrose's bed and handed her some as well,"Pocky for you too!"

rin smiled and took some, then bouced over to her bed. "thank you ink!" she laughed.

Melrose smiled and took it. "Thank you." She said quietly and slowly ate one of them, slightly looking like a hamster as she did so. Her body felt warm from the happiness of the taste and she giggled. "So yumm!"

rin sat quietly for awile chewing on her last bites of the pocky and started swinging her legs in a patern over the edge of her bed. "anybody want to play a game while we wait for the door to open?" she asked with her mouth full of her last bite.

Ink looked up,"Eh? What game?" She asked. She was shining/sharpening her scythe at the moment and was testing it on the wall.
"I'm game for anything."

rin smiled at her and walked over to her. "want to play a hand game? its easy and realy realy fun." she watched her scythe being wary around it.

Ink shrugged,"How do you play?" She put the scythe down and put her pack of pocky away.

rin held out both of her hands palm down and looked at her. "put your hands under mine, palm up." she waited until she did so and added, "the point on the game it to try and hit the top of my hand without me dodging fast enough." she looked down at her hands, noticing the color of her ring, she smiled. "ready when you are."

Ink looked confused, then did as she was told. She sat there staring at her hands for a few minutes, then swiftly moved her left hand to hit hers.

rin's hand moved quickly out of the way, but her right hand got hit slightly. "thats one win to you." she smiled. "now its my turn to be on the bottom and try to hit your hand." she moved her hands under ink's and smiled, waiting fro the right moment to strike.

Ink stared at her hand,"Do you know what the rings are for?" She asked.

rin shrugged staring at her ring and then at ink's. "dont know." then all of a sudden, rin's hands flew like lightning up to hit hers.

Ink moved hers, but then a quick flash of light flashed infront of their eyes, a few moments later she rubbed her eyes, unsure if Rin hit her or not.
"Did you win?" She asked,"What was the light for?"

rin hit her hands and looked up at ink. "what light?" she asked seeing no light in the room other than from the small light hanging from the ceiling. "and yeah, i won."

"Eh? I saw it..." Ink looked around,"Must've been my imagination." She picked up her scythe again,"I think the game is getting to me...."
