Lyo was making hushing noises, gently stroking the back of Kitty's head as he kept his eyes closed now, not wanting to see the Dementor when it appeared. However, his eyes did blink open in surprise when he felt the coat wrap around him. Slowly he gave Kitty a weak smile. "No it isn't, my fault I can't stand a little cold, just don't look at it, concentrate on me or something." He muttered, staring at Kitty now so he wouldn't see the Dementor as it finally arrived. Yubi bit her lip as she started shaking, not sure if she could stay up. She was watching her little brother getting bullied, beaten, despising every second of it, being unable to help him. Lyo was experiencing the same things, only they were happening to him, he wasn't just watching it. Finally Yubi's weak voice sounded.
"G-Get away f-from them!" She tried to sound strong, though it didn't sounc too convincing. Finally something sparked from her hands and for a brief second she smiled at the familiar warmth. The flames that suddenly burst from her hands were a bright blue, fox fire her mother called it, a special talent Kitsune's possessed, and hopefully the fire would drive back the dementor.
"Go now!" She finally said with more conviction as the flames spread out, forming a wall in front of the cold creature.

The dementor ran off frearing the flames. Soon everything was warming up slowly. Kitty was curled up on the floor scared. He didn't look at anyone or anything. He was just too scared. He didn't understand why it wanted him. He didn't do anything. He was a good person. 'What did I do...? Did I do something bad? I wanna go home...' He shifted into his kitten form and was able to hid, unseen by anyone, under the seat. His cat form was small like a kittens. He didn't change into it often. Just to hid. He never did it at his house before. He never let his father see anything like that. He didn't wanna die.

Yubi gasped as she let the flames vanish, before she collapsed on the seat, panting heavily. Slowly the visions she'd seen vanished, but she still felt the cold sheen of sweat clinging to her body, her clothes and hair. After a couple of moments, Yubi glanced sideways to see her brother still curled into a ball, despite the missing body of the other boy.
"Uh....Do you wanna find your friend? I think he has some bad memories..." She mumbled, though Lyo didn't move for a couple of minutes. Just as she reached out a shaky hand to tap his shoulder, he started to uncurl, straightening as he looked around. "Kitty? Kitty...where are you? Everything's...alright, they're gone...you're safe! Please come out." He said, hesitating as if he were trying to remember how to speak.

Kitty was too scared to come out. He just wanted to hid. When he didn't sense it anymore he hesitantly moved to the edge where he would be able to be seen but he didn't move. He meowed softly still a little scared. His small ears were down submissively and his tail was limp on the floor. He sniffled then whimpered. He couldn't shift back and in truth didn't want to at the moment. 'I'm sorry...' He said telepathically to them. 'I should have stayed home....I was scared...I didn't mean too...I don't know why it came...'

Lyo was still looking around, getting a little more frantic as he couldn't find Kitty, when he heard finally the little meow noise. Turning his head sharply in the direction of the noise, he smiled in relief before crouching down a little more so his head was at Kitty's level. "Aw Kitty I told you, it wasn't your fault alright? Everyone got scared, I was useless back there and if that thing had gotten past Yubi I wouldn't have been able to protect you I was so scared by it. But...That would have made me even more upset, if I couldn't protect you. Please Kitty, I don't like seeing you upset and if you'd never come I'd still be alone and in a bad mood! So it was a good thing you came!" He attempted to convince Kitty everything was alright. Yubi had raised an eyebrow, surprised by the change in her brother, though she didn't say anything, remaining still.

Kitty sniffled a little then crawled out and close to his face. He nuzzled Lyo's cheek with his then meowed again. He sat in front of him then looked down. He still had the problem of changing back. He wasn't able to. He didn't mind being in his kitten form. He jumped up on his shoulder then sat there. He smiled a little. 'I can't change back....it will be a little while before I can...' he said then looked down. He was glad he was in his kitten form. When he said he was happy he came he blushed a bit. He like the way Lyo treated him and talked to him. He was so nice to him. 'Sorry...I'll be stuck like this for a while...'

Lyo grinned slightly as Kitty nuzzled his cheek, reaching out with a hand to gently scratch behind his ear. Still crouched down, he smiled to the other Neko, glad he had come out from his hiding place now. A laugh sounded from his mouth as he squirmed a little when Kitty jumped to his shoulder. The fur from his kitten form tickled a little, but he quickly stilled so he wouldn't knock the other off.
"It's fine, you look cute as a kitten! Maybe you should make it a permanent change?" He suggested, though grinned cheekily to show it was only a joke. Pausing, he glanced up to see his sister staring at the two. "Oh yea, Kitty, this is Kyubi, but call her Yubi. She takes more after our mum so we don't look very similar. Yubi, this is my new friend Kitty, he's a Neko too!" He introduced them, leaving out the part about Kitty also being part vampire, Kitty could tell her that if he wanted to. Yubi nodded her head a little as she smiled a little tiredly to Kitty.
"Nice to meet you, glad my little bro could actually make a friend, the little idiot." She teased Lyo lightly.

Kitty blushed a bit then nuzzled his cheek again. 'I wouldn't mind staying like this either but I have to go to school for my mom. I'm doing all of this for her...' he said then looked at Yubi. He was a little hesitant to meet new people. 'I-it's nice to meet you.' He looked down when he heard more than saw a person coming towards there compartment. He quickly jumped down then pulled his clothes under the seat. He quickly moved behind them as an older boy opened it. "Is everyone okay?" he asked as he looked around.

Lyo chuckled as he wriggled, really, Kitty was tickling him badly doing that! Still laughing he gently stroked Kitty's head. "I'm sure she's proud that you're doing this, and you'll have loads of fun, especially if we're in the same house!" He answered with a grin before stiffening as he heard the footsteps. Glancing at his shoulder, he was surprised to see that Kitty had already vanished to hide from the person. Lyo at once fell silent, watching the older boy suspiciously as he dragged his hat over his head quickly to make the ears look fake, his tail hiding quickly. Yubi however had smiled to Kitty when he spoke to her then turned to the new comer. Unlike her brother, and ignoring her parent's warnings, she had told people about what she really was, and that Lyoko was an adoptive brother so he could pretend he was completely human. It seemed most wizards and witches were surprisingly accepting. Waving to the older boy, Yubi grinned brightly.
"Yeah, that dementor wasn't so scary! He went running soon as he saw some fire the little coward." She joked, though she still seemed a little tired.

"Good. I'm glad to know you guys are okay," he said then smiled at her. "Well my name is Kaito Hiromono. If you need help during the year just ask." he said then left. Kitty relaxed when he was gone. He jumped into Lyo's lap then purred softly. 'What now? When are we getting to the school?' he asked as he rolled on his back exposing his stomach. He had a long cut down it but he rarely even noticed it anymore. He pawed at his hand a little.

Yubi smiled brightly, bringing her legs up to sit cross-legged on the seat. "Nice to meet you Kaito, I'm Yubi Summers." She responded politely before grinning mischieviously, a grin very suitable for a kitsune. "We may not need help, but maybe we'll see you around. Later Kaito!" She called back before resting her head against the wall. Lyo shook his head a little. He never understood how his sister could make friends and get along with people so well, it made him smile a little though. The grin grew wider as he saw Kitty jump into his lap, laughing at the sight. Reaching down Lyo let Kitty paw at his hand before tickling him under the chin, frowning, just for a second when he saw the cut. He didn't want to ask about it though, he didn't want to upset Kitty again.
"We should be getting there in five, ten minutes max. I'm getting sick of this train now, can't wait to see the castle again!" Yubi answered his question with a grin as she remembered her last year.

Kitty purred louder as he tilted his head back a bit when he was pet under his chin. He loved being pet there. 'O...kay...' he said slowly. He figured he could shift back when they got there. He liked the way he was pet. 'That feels nice...no body ever...pet there before...' He purred louder. He yawned loudly then pawed at his hand a bit. 'You're really nice....'

Lyo chuckled warmly as he heard the loud purring, finding it sweet coming from Kitty. Listening to him, he tilted his head to the side for a moment before smirking wickedly, looking suddenly a lot like his sister in that moment. "How about tickling? You ever been tickled?" He asked, beginning to tickle Kitty while laughing before pausing and blushing slightly at the compliment. Yubi had to laugh then. "Yeah, he's much nicer then normal. You must be one hell of a miracle worker Kitty to get ol' sour-puss to lighten up even a little. Normally he'd be hissing at someone and threatening them if they came close to him. You'll have to tell me how you do it some time!" She smirked at her brother's darkening blush.

Kitty squealed happily when he was tickled. He laughed a little when he stopped. 'No! I've never been tickled before.' He looked up at Yubi then smiled. 'I can't give away my secrets. We should change into our robes shouldn't we...um....you'll have to leave then.' He said talking to Yubi. He was a bit shy about his body. He wouldn't let anyone really see all the scars he had. He didn't really like talking about them but with someone he knew well he wouldn't mind. Just her he couldn't talk to her.

Lyo grinned as he made Kitty squeal and laugh. It sounded nice to hear that from the boy. He worried that Kitty didn't laugh, or smile enough when he was at home. Yubi waved a hand, smirking faintly. "Ah well, I'll have to figure out ways of my own then. I'm gonna go check on the others back in my compartment, hopefully they're not too shaken by the cold...I kinda abandoned them back there." She laughed a little sheepishly before waving good bye and leaving the two. Yubi didn't need to change, she'd already gotten ready earlier on in the trip, before the dementor attack. Lyo watched her go before he gently picked Kitty up to set him on the seat before he stood as well, looking around for where he'd put his clothes. "You excited Kitty, we're almost there!" He asked as he looked.

Kitty waved one of his paws as she left. He smiled when he was set down on the seat. 'I am excited!' he said then smiled more. When he looked away he shifted back then quickly put on his boxers. He hid his back where most of the scares were. He had a few on his arms and legs but he had a nasty looking one across his chest. Kitty often forgot about it. "I can't wait till we get there...um...where did I put my robe..." He slowly put his pants back on then looked around. He searched through his bag then smiled as he pulled it out. "Found it!" He turned to Lyo then smile. "I wonder what it's going to be like. I can't wait to see everything!" He put on a thin shirt then his robe.

He grinned before looking away quickly when Kitty changed back into his human form. It would have been embarrassing if he hadn't turned away. After a couple of moments Lyo peeked back to see if Kitty had some clothes on, then smiled and nodded. Laughing, he shrugged off his own hoodie, shirt and jeans before gazing critically at his 'uniform'. Lyo hated wearing uniforms, he'd probably ruin this one anyway though so he slipped the shirt and trousers quickly on before struggling with the robe. All the while, he glanced back at Kitty, gazing at the scars that covered his body. Who could have done something like that to him? Surely he couldn't have done it all by himself, even Kitty wasn't that clumsy. "Y-yeah, it's meant to be huge..." He mumbled, still staring at his Kitty's chest where the nasty looking scar was. "Kitty...How did you get all those scars?" He asked hesitantly, not wanting to upset his friend, as he finaly finished getting the robe on.

Kitty smiled weakly then looked out the window. "I told you my father didn't really like wizards and witches...well he thought if he beat me hard enough that i'd just go away. As you can see it didn't work." He touched his chest where his scar was. "This was the only time my mom fought back. He tried to see if he could cut it out of me. I was sitting at dinner, on the floor cause I wasn't allowed at the table, and all of a sudden he came at me with one of the big knifes in the kitchen. My mom hit him over the head with a frying pan. She got a cut on her cheek because of it but she said she didn't care. She didn't wanna lose me. I felt really happy then. Like I belonged. It was really nice. After that my father didn't try to kill me. He just found little things that I would do wrong like walk close to him when we're going down the streets or didn't clean something right and then he'd beat me for it. He liked mostly to whip me. It's okay though. I'll learn how to protect myself here and my mom too." He smiled as he slid on his black hat.

Lyo stared wide eyed at Kitty in horror, unable at first to process exactly what he said. Sure, Lyo knew what it was like for others to hate what you were. He had ended up being home schooled because of the bullying, and if it hadn't been for his mother, he would have had his own fair share of scars to show for it. Well, he had asked her to keep the one long scar that started at the top of his neck on the side, then came down to mid way his chest. It was a reminder to him what he'd lived through, and what he would always seek to stop. But to live with someone like that every day, someone who would hurt you for practically no reason, he couldn't even begin to imagine it. Slowly he stepped forwards and hugged Kitty gently, eyes closed. "Forget about him then, if you want you can come live with us in the holidays or something, I won't let him hurt you like that again!" He muttered, shaking a little as he thought about some of the things Kitty's father could have done.

Kitty shook his head no. "I can't do that. I know it sounds bad but it's not like that all the time. Plus I get to protect my mom. Its worth it as long as she's alive. I can live through the pain." He said as he laid his head on Lyo's shoulder. He really like being hugged. It felt so nice. "Thank you Lyo. You're really nice to me...I was kinda expecting to be hurt...and treated like the way I've always been treated. "You've shone me that not everyone in the world is mean....that there are nice people..." He wrapped his arms around Lyo and cried softly. "Thank you so much..."

Lyo frowned at Kitty, fully prepared to start arguing with him, though when the other rested his head on his shoulder, he fell silent, choosing instead to be moody in silence. While feeling irritated, towards Kitty's dad rather then Kitty, he vaguely listened to Kitty's words, only just realising what he was saying when he suddenly returned the hug. "Hey hey Kitty! Don't act as if you're gonna die any second and these are your final words, that'll freak me out seriously! Don't cry, or I'll have to tickle you again!" He said, looking a little alarmed as he gazed down at the top of Kitty's head. Sighing, he shook his own head. "How could I possibly be mean to you Kitty? God one look from you made me nice to you when we first met, that's something in itself." He paused, about to continue when the train shuddered to a halt and he swayed before stumbling a little, letting go of Kitty and falling back into a seat with a laugh. "Looks like we're here."

Kitty sniffled as he wiped at his tears. He didn't want to leave his arms yet. "I...I'm sorry..." he said softly then looked outside. He moved closer to the window and looked around. "I don't see the school..." he said as he tried to get rid of the evidence he was ever crying. He relaxed then turned around. "What do we do now? ...I'm a little scared..." he admitted softly. "I know that I'm safe though...cause you're there with me..."

Lyo smiled, waving a hand in the air. "Nah, don't worry about it alright? Just remember, you don't need to be upset, and if anything or anyone bothers you at school just tell me and I'll beat 'em up for you....If Yubi doesn't beat me to it actually, I think she approves of you as a friend." He chuckled softly before standing again and reaching out to link arms with Kitty. "Now? We get off the train and look for other first years. Apparantly we have to go to the school via boats or something." He answered before leading Kitty out, blushing darkly at the compliment. "It's alright to be a little scared...I'm nervous too..." He muttered quietly.

Kitty smiled as he followed. He walked with him out of the train. He liked the thought of being protected. He was a little hesitant about the boat. He clung to Lyo's arm a bit. "Um...sit next to me on the boat....I don't like them...and...I'm a little scared...of them..." He truthfully hated water except for showers. He made sure his tail was hidden as they walked towards where a bunch of other boys and girls were looking around looking lost. "Have you ever been on a boat before?"

Lyo was glad that Kitty was smiling again, and even happier that he didn't mind linking arms with him. Glancing back to Kitty, Lyo couldn't help smirking faintly at him. Just what else was he scared of? Maybe he could help him not be scared of some things, that'd be nice. "Alright, just as long as you don't hold my arm too tightly, I'd rather keep circulation in it." He joked before nodding, looking a little proud. "Yeah, loads of times. Mum was born in Peru so her family is mostly over there, Dad was born in some little french town and his family's spread all over France. Makes you wonder how we ended up living in England" He laughed at this before continuing. "We'd go via boat at least once every year to France to visit dad's family, then we'd take a plane to Peru to visit mum's, then a boat back home cause Yubi hates planes so we can't take them often." He explained before falling suddenly quiet as they approached the other boys and girls. He felt apprehensive around crowds, looking nervous as he watched them suspiciously.
