There is a purpose, in everyones eyes to do something great. To achieve something... but... that was all foolish talk to Niles, seeing as his purpose was a predetermined future planned out for him long before his birth. His purpose according to his parents was to follow their plan as they had set out for him, which he had done quite dutifully. Of course there were mishaps and wrong turns along this path but he never strayed too far. Of course now that he was 18 his parents did grant him a little more freedom from their home, seeing as he had grown up to be a honorable man, well read and knowledgable in the worlds affairs. He spoke over three languages fluently and he could solve even complicated math problems in his head. Supposadly... the one thing he did not posess was people skills. He could charm his way into anyones heart, truely if he didn't come off as a cold hearted, self absorbed, rich boy. He could flaunt his flashy clothes, and his manicured body but looks can't make up for a poor personality. Which his parents felt very badly about, seeing as they were the ones who tore out his personality and trampled on it from the start.

Niles was a perfect child all in all, but in their determination to fix the one wrong thing about him. They didn't realize how big of a mistake they had made... Only a few days ago they had set up a job for him. He was to go in for an interview. Of course with his father working that day he couldn't take him and his mother hadn't a clue how to drive, so Niles was left to the horrors of that which people called "Public Transportation" he became a mouse in the cats jungle as he took that first step out the door with his directions and case of materials. He was listening to the Beatles on his portable tape player, wondering why on earth they would have ever decided to go to America. "Hn... takes the 54 bus...to..." he mumbled to himself reviewing the directions as he patiently waited at a bus stop. "This can't be right..." It only took one bus ride in the wrong direction and a few minutes of walking for him to realize he had become completly lost in a very unfamiliar part of the city.

Today, as usual for almost every day, all was bright and sunny in the eyes of Jude. When it was cloudy, Jude saw sun. When it was pouring rain, Jude saw sun. Even with it was snowy with horribly cold wind, Jude saw sun. That was the type of person he had grown to be. Some would say he was a little to overly cheery, but he never noticed this. It was just one of the many things that was odd about him. Just one of the many things wrong.

Growing up, he had not the most perfect child. At eighteen, he had officially passed all years of his schooling with nothing above the grade of a C-. It wasn't that he was stupid. He had, at times, the attention span of a one year old puppy, getting constantly distracted over the tiniest things. Yes, he had been bad in school. But out in the open, he felt wonderful. Wandering the streets, talking to random people who he had never met before and returning a little before sundown when the sky was always some sort of vibrant colour. Today, he was out again. He had stopped several times to talk. Once, to an old lady who seemed to be having difficulty crossing the street. He had helped her across while rambling about stuff she probably didn't even care about. The second had been several small children who had been playing a game of football (Soccer) near the side of the road. The third time, he had poked his head into a conversation between two teenage girls, and in the end had been slapped by one for saying some thing that was apparently indecent in the presence of two ladies. Holding his cheek in one hand, he wandered down the streets with a slight pout on his face.

Niles had traveled to many countries for studies and to vacation but the very city he lived in was foreign to him. "This isn't right at all..." He removed his head set from his ears, trying to catch the attention of someone passing by, only to be ignored as they were to busy getting to their jobs or homes, or taking children to school. "Hm... " He sat onto a bench, fed up with trying to get anyone to help him as he crumpled up the directions to the location of his interview and tossed it into a trash can that was across the street. He might not have belong to a public school with sports programs but he did often play against his father when he wasn't working. Niles wasn't the type to lie to his parents, he knew he couldn't as a matter of fact as the person they had got him an interview with was a close friend to theirs. "What a miserable day..." Of course he couldn't just spend the rest of the day here on the bench, he knew that of course. He would have to one way or another find his way home. He stood up, pushing his hands into his pockets, glancing to the watch on his wrist. 'I don't really have a chance to make it in time now.. i'll just tell them the bus was delayed and I ran out of time...' He looked to see a man, who was strange to him like nothing he'd seen before. So ill dressed and unkempt, and his walk was so eclectic Niles didn't know what to make of him, other than that he was one of those 'homeless' that he had heard about, which meant to him he knew the streets well.

Niles approached the man with caution of course, touching his shoulder to get his attention. "Excuse me, I request your assisstance for a moment as it seems i've become lost..."

He turned around to face the other male, Niles. Though his outfit was rather messy, almost everything on him was completely in order. A bright and cheery smile graced his lips as it looked at the male with two of the most unique eyes a person could have. It was a form of Heterochromia. While both eyes were the same steel grey, on each side there was a section where strips of abnormal amethyst colouring occurred. To add to the oddity, his left eye had a large star patturn that took up the whole iris in a lighter colour of lavender. To top his unusual look, he had short almost chin length green hair that was brushed over to one side in a rather puffy manor, while other parts seemed to fall out in uneven strands that went as far as his shoulder to as short as his nose. Immediately, he reached out and clung onto the mans arm, hugging it tightly as if he were about to go out on a date.
"Sure! What do you need help with? I know this place like the trunk of a tree!"

Niles was a bit strucken by the mans looks, he was unique that was for sure though Niles looks couldn't compete with his. Though Niles himself was breath taking to many his looks were high class and he beyond their league. His red hair that fell over his shoulders, in a graceful straight line that fell to outline his narrow face, his lashes were long and dark which threw off his emerald and teal eyes. His whole body sinched up as the strange latched onto him and he pulled his arm free. "I was looking for a way to get back to the upper city. I've taken a wrong turn somewhere..." He let out a deep sigh of relief that someone was finally going to help him find his way through this strange place. He ran his hands through the long strands of dark red hair, flipping it over his shoulder. He adjusted the small rectangular glasses that adorned his nose and it was obvious that there wasn't a single ounce of freedom to his spirit or fun in his bones. Niles was a bit confused at the mans analogies of things since it was very unlikely that he knew the trunk of any tree very well. "Ah, I see.. it is fine if you don't know how to get there i'll ask someone else." it was his conclusion that this man was merely an asylum escapie and he started to walk away, placing his headphones back onto his ears until he could find someone else that could help him.

Fortunately, or rather unfortunately, he had refused to let go of the males arm and was clinging like an over dramatic school girl. He gave a small whine and reached up, tugging off the males head phones.
"Hey, hey, hey. Tell me your name! I'm Jude." He said, excitement fluttering through his eyes like butterflies in an open field of wild flowers. He grinned brightly, still holding onto the other as if the term "Personal Space" had no meaning or existence to him. He began to hang off Niles, still smiling brightly, rambling about random things.
"And you know why water's blue? Because the grass is green, and there has to be something to add contrast to it! See, blue and green had once been best friends, but then they became enemies because when ever to much blue got on the green, the green became watered out. But then after a while the green became immune, and now they're friends, because the blue helps the green and the green gives the blue some thing to do!" His odd coloured eyes looked to the stranger once more as he concluded his little story.

Niles attempted to tug his arm away again beginning to feel oddly violated. "Yes, yes that is wonderful. Now would you please let go of my arm you are wrinkling my shirt..." He let out another deep sigh his thoughts of finally being helped faded and he felt more distressed than before. "Jude?" What an ironic name for him as the song that happened to be playing over his tape was 'Hey Jude' by the beatles, as it was Niles favorite band that he was allowed to listen to. Niles stopped his struggle to get away when he could tell that this was going to go nowhere fast. "Jude, I am Niles Benoit and the the water is blue because it's molecular structure vibrates when it is hit with the light... the light that it absorbs is red, thus you see blue because it is the complimentary color. The grass is green because of photosynthisis not because blue and green were ever friends or enemies, otherwise green would still be angry at blue for when it rains. Unless you don't consider rain water to be blue, though it all ends up in the same oceans and lakes. Now please... I would like to find my way home." After he had given his little lesson on the refractoral properties of light through water and color modification through the elemental changes of weather and sun spots he put his headphones back on once more, attempting to retrace his steps back towards where he was dropped off by the bus before, humming along to the music that played.

He stared at the male for a few seconds, looking absolutely confused at the large speech. After a few seconds of watching the males retreating form, he hurried after.
"Waaaait! Wait a moment!" He caught up with NIles and jumped in front of the male, facing him. He then reached out and buttoned the top button of his shirt, before stepping back and nodding with a small smile.
"Good! Now you can go." He smiled brightly and stepped aside so that the male could continue on his way. Once he had, Jude followed after Niles, humming a song quietly to himself. It didn't seem that he cared that the Niles might dislike being followed. Even if he knew, he would probably still follow him. To him, there was some thing interesting about Niles. All of a sudden, he lunged forward and was instantly attached to Niles once more.
"Let's be friends!

Niles stared at the male with an un-easy expression. He didn't like the idea of someone hanging all over him and touching him and his clothing all the time as it seemed Jude was so accustomed to doing. "Erg... Thanks i suppose..." He straightened out his shirt and took a deep breath as he looked for something familiar to him that he might have seen before. He didn't notice once his headphones were blarring in his ears again that he was being followed by the very person he was trying to leave behind at the moment. He let himself drift into his own musical world until Jude threw himself onto him once more. Screaming something that he didn't understand through his music, he swung around slapping Jude across the face. "What is your problem!?" He turned on his heel once more, walking faster to get away from this 'Jude' person. 'What the hell is with this guy? What did I get myself into...?' he shook away his sense of panic, feeling a bit more safe now that he had lost Jude somewhere down the road. "...Psycho... what a ...Psycho..." His headphones were still on and he started to drift back into the world of the music, letting it wash away his thoughts and fears. ~Lucy in the sky with diamonds.
Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain Where rocking horse people eat marshmellow pies, Everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers,That grow so incredibly high.~ He sang out, his voice carrying quite a distance with a sort of eloquence that didn't seem befitting of his demenor at all. ~Ahh... Lucy in the sky with Diamonds...~

Jude just sort of fell back, one hand pressed to his face with a slightly shocked expression written on his boyishly cute face. Even when the male, Niles, had left, he had been standing in the same spot unmoving with his hand raised. He could still feel the startling sting. Just when he felt like he was about to cry, he quickly shook his head and hurried off in the same direction. Niles seemed to be angry, or upset about some thing. Maybe if he were to find Niles, he could help out with what ever the problem was. His odd eyes lit up a little and he switched from his jog into a full out run, determined to find Niles and seek the problem out.

Niles had sat down on a bench, his arms outstretched over the length of it as he relaxed, his head falling back as his eyes closed trying to regain his normal air of composure. He felt bad for hitting another person, it wasn't the type of thing he would do to just anyone. That man though, that... Jude. He had driven this un-socialized creature to it's limit. Niles didn't know the feeling of human contact. He drifted into a musical world, listening to the sounds and lyrics of each song until he could feel the rumble of a bus approaching and he stood from his seat, finally feeling relief that there was a reliable source of information for him. One that wouldn't try to tear his clothes off and then mend them, or hang all over him and anger him beyond belief. The bus stopped for him, the doors opening up and he stepped inside, removing his headphones. "Excuse me sir... Could you tell me how to get to the upper city? I am trying to return to 160th street and harriet ave... will this bus bring me close?" He questioned, listening to the driver who explained there was a bus route a block from here that could take him up that far but it would be an hour or so wait.

Niles sighed and stepped from the bus, heading towards the location the drive had pointed out the other stop to be and brushed his hand through his hair. It wasn't like he had any other options. He'd had enough money for the bus, not nearly enough for a cab which would have been much more convienient. As he reached the new stop he leaned against the light pole, knowing his wait would be long, glancing at his watch more often than he would have liked to as the minutes ticked by slowly... so very slowly....

At long last, he had finally caught sight of Niles once more. His previously concerned face brightened into a happy one and he was about to call out the male, but he paused, looking around. Without making a noise, he dived behind a wall and stood, peering out at the male with a serious expression. He didn't want to startle Niles, so he would take his time and just follow him for a while. Jude smiled and gave a nod to no one in particular, liking the idea. After a while though, he was beginning to grow tired of just standing in one spot. Eventually he had abandoned his secret position and was crouched on the ground, moving small pebbles on the side walk into an even line formation, not a single crooked or out of place. When he was finished with that he smiled down at the line and stood, looking back over the corner to see if Niles was still about. He gave a small sigh in relief, in finding that he was still there. Looking down to his line of pebbles, he noticed that one had been shifted a bit. He frowned a little and crouched down, pushing it gently back in place with the tip of one of his perfectly oval shaped finger nails. He stood up straight again and inched out to Niles, making sure to keep quiet.

Niles had started to grow tired, and more expecially of what he was listening to through his music player. He went through his case that he carried with him, bringing out another CD that he would never allow his parents to know he had. It was surprsing enough that they let him listen to the Beatles, and even more so that they were allowing him out of the house alone to the wide open world. He didn't understand their logic, he knew they cherished him very much but their methods of raising a child only gave him more questions to his life than a normal child might have. Now that he was older, and now that he was pushed to go out on his own even in the least bit he was finding a sense of freedom. As he placed the CD into the player and the music started to play he smiled, his eyes closing as his long hair fell over his shoulders from it's neat arrangment. He sang the lyrics softly to himself... enjoying how melodic and dark this band was...

Remember you standing quiet in the rain as I ran to your heart to be near... and we kissed as the sky fell in holding you close. How I always held close in your fear. Remember you running soft through the night you were bigger and brighter than the snow and screamed at the make-believe, screamed at the sky and you finally found all your courage to let it all go he laughed a little and smiled, it was geniune and a free smile. There was nothing in the world that i ever wanted more.. than to feel you deep in my heart...

He was, for once in his life, expressing a sense of freedom and joy he had never been able to portray ever before... and how he loved it. In those few lyrics... how they gave him a sense of release and courage, and how it made him.... miss the bus!

Jude had been standing behind Niles for some time. People walking by seemed to assume that he was with the male, so they didn't question the odd looking boy who had been looming over Niles for some time, not saying anything. He looked up as the bus came, and extended an arm, waving happily to the bus driver. The driver raised an eye brow and closed the doors, driving off without Niles. Before Niles had any chance to react to the bus leaving, Jude jumped in front of Niles and pushed him against the seat.
"Wait a moment! Your hair is out of place." He quickly zoomed behind the male and took a hold of his hair, bringing it behind his shoulders. When he was done, he smiled down at the neat locks and then looked to Niles, waving a little.
"You missed your bus!"

Niles looked up to see the psycho child standing infront of him his green eyes going wide as he smacked his hands away from his hair. "Seriously! What is your problem!" He shouted as he stood from his seat, tearing his head phones off. "Why are you following me?!" Niles wasn't happy to see him again, nor was he thrilled with what the child said next. "....missed the bus? And you were watching? You didn't bother to tell me it had arrived?!" His hands formed into fists and he was ready to strike out but held himself back from beating his stalker into the pavement. "It's going to be another hour before the next one arrives even longer, thanks to you I won't be home until nightfall and i'm going to get in trouble. Thanks alot, why don't you just go and play with someone elses life would you?" Niles crossed his arms, turning towards the street as he glanced to his watch and sighed. He wasn't going to ask this strange for a ride, if he could even provide one, but he didn't want to be out on the streets after dark. He watched the news daily, and heard many stories of murders and other crimes that went on in the city after dark. It wasn't a place he wanted to be...

Jude took a few small steps back from the distressed male and looked down, his two index fingers pointing together in a slight fidgety way. After a few seconds, his odd eyes looked up to Niles once more, bearing the expression of a beaten puppy.
"Well.. didn't you say you needed help? I offered earlier when you asked.. but then you ran away as if some thing was angering you, and I thought maybe I could help. Like I said. I know this place like a blade of grass!" His previously beaten expression quickly perked up into a happy one and he beamed up at the male, a few uneven strands of his own dark forest green hair hanging down in his face.
Almost immediately, how ever, he changed the subject.
"So! Do you like music? I love music! I like rock the best, and I've been practicing how to play the bass! I think guitars are over rated, because everyone either wants to sing, or play the guitar. Give the bass a little love every once in a while! And you know what? Soon, I want to start a band and play publicly for people!"

Niles expression went from frustraited to surrendering, as he was out of options. "Fine... then help me. I need to get to 160th street and harriet ave." he would just have to trust that this guy knew what he was talking about than he did about making analogies towards things. As a blade of grass was no better a comparison than a tree. "Yeah, I guess you could say I like music... mostly Bach, and some other orchestra. I like some other mainstream bands too but I can't listen to them very often." He ran his fingers through his hair once more letting out a deep breath of exhaustion and frustraition. "A band hm? What is holding you back from forming a band?" He had never given the idea of forming or being in a band any thought not even at this moment, but it seemed like an interesting subject that this male wanted to talk about so he figured he'd go along with it. "I learned to play violin and piano while growing up, my parents would murder me if I wanted to learn the bass." he turned his player off and let it rest at his hip the headphones around his neck as he spoke with Jude. "I can't say I listen to any real rock music..."

He made a few slightly uninterested faces at the sound of classical music, soon, how ever, his eyes were transfixed down at the player near Niles' hip. He noted that the little machine was crooked, and this irritated him. He reached down and gently began to adjust the player so that it was sitting straight up, before looking back to Niles.
"E-heh heh.. sorry. It was uneven!" And with that statement, he began to adjust the head phones as well. When he was finished with his mini fuss, he turned and began walking in one direction, as if expecting Niles to follow.
"Forming one.. would take a lot. I would need five members, including myself. One Drummer, two guitarists, one bass (That's me) and the vocalist, which I say would be the most important. But vocalists are so hard to find, good ones at least. And mainstream isn't good. They all sound the same! For me, if I had a band, I would need some thing more.. unheard of." He turned around to face Niles, stretching out both arms wide with a large grin on his face.
"A voice that would make people think 'How is this even possible? I've never heard anything like this before!'" He stared at Niles for a few seconds, before lowering his arms and turning around once more, to continue on his way at a rather slow pace.
"Only.. no one ever seems to be really interested in speaking with me. I think my eyes scare them."

Niles shook his head to this mans fussy and perfectionist ways. He too was a perfectionist but not over such minor things such as the button of a shirt or how his cd player laid on his hip. His hand writing was emaculate though and he kept his looks in prime condition as he knew his future had already been planned out for him, he was going to be set up with a girl that would have to fall in love with his looks as his personality was very unloveable. "It can not be that hard to find people who can play guitar, and drums... I would have thought finding a bassist would be the most complicated part but since you the bassist want to start the band. That would solve alot of problems." He thought for a while about the idea of a band, the kind of music he could see Jude playing and chuckled to himself. "I think it will be hard for you to find a voice that would fit what you are looking for, most people have a very generic voice to begin with I doubt you'll find someone that will make people just say "Wow"... none the less make them wonder how a voice as unique are you are looking for is possible." What he was saying though was probably going to be his words of damnation. Niles had a unique voice, it's sound masked by his manicured attitude, but underneath his rich boy personality he had a very sultry and exotic tone. Something that only came from the high life, and from a protected childhood... meek but violent...

Jude shook his head back and forth, his eyes wide.
"Of course it's hard! You can't just take random people and add them together and say "FWAH. You five will be the pears of this world. Go play. It's much more complicated than that, Ni-Ni. It also depends on what type of songs you write and play. You can't sing a song about happy go lucky cherries that devour puppies but have it be super depressing one moment and then all over the place another. The band has to be one with each other, and know what they're goal is. Variety is good, and playing the same type of songs over and over again gets boring. For my band, we'll need some thing that will shock people. I don't care in what way. If they're disgusted, then so be it, but I wont go down without at least showing them what is offered, first." He smiled back to Niles, his odd eyes glittering a little.

Niles listened to the man, knowing he didn't really have any other option since he was stuck with this guy for the next hour unless he had another idea of what to do. "I understand that, it is impossible for a song to be happy and depressing all at once... nn..." He thought a moment and looked at Jude, seeing he was a very passionate person expecially if he was putting up with Niles beligerant personality. "Perhaps that is the sound you are looking for, something that sounds happy but the lyrics are depressing, or maybe not depressing but they are maybe... malevolent?" He thought for another long moment and laughed at the idea. "What kind of songs do you have writen if any? I'm not a writer myself but I am a good judge of music quality, perhaps i could help you polish what you have already in return for a tiny favor... like bringing me home." He thought it might be a good ploy to help him get home before dark though it didn't seem like a very efficent plan. "I think if you give the world something that doesn't sound like anything else, you'll end up with something new... no matter what even the same song will never sound identical to the first time you played it since it is a new sound that is always evolving. If you are looking for a voice that would fit that though you are looking in the wrong place... the people of london are just as depressing as the city it's self... there won't be any real pep around here except for yourself perhaps."

Jude came to a halt once again, turning around to face Niles. The lavender star patterning in his eyes seemed to glow a little as he watched Niles. For once, without saying anything right away, he turned around and continued walking straight, only to turn a corner. He knew it would lead both of them to one of the earlier stated street names. Sooner or later, at least. After a while of unusual silence, he looked back to Niles, about to smile when it slid off his face. He wandered back to Niles and extending both arms, he reached down and began to straighten Niles' coat, a slightly irritated look in his bi-coloured eyes.
"You should really do some thing about how uneven your stuff gets! It's so messy looking." said the male with extremely uneven hair. He flashed a smile and turned back, grinning brightly.
"If I were to make a band.. I wonder what it would be called..."

Niles was questioning the other males silence when he was suddenly being touched by him again, he didn't fuss this time but he wasn't particularly happy about having his stuff being adjusted by a stranger like him. "It isn't quite my fault, though I don't think you are much of one to talk when your hair isn't even the same length all the way around." He shifted a bit once Jude had turned back around, adjusting his clothes so they were more comfortable on him. It was obvious this male had a great issue with uneven things and it was going to be very hard for him to put up with that kind of personality for much longer when he didn't really care if his own jacket was a tenth of a centimeter off center. "You'd probably call it something crazy..." He knelt down a moment to adjust his shoe, he'd been walking for so long his feet were begining to hurt. It was more common for him to have a ride place, in a car. Like a regular human. "If I had a band..." he paused, thinking for a moment as he stood back up, contemplating the thought over. "I'd want them to be called something that expressed the individuality of the band. Something that represented the passion and will to play and the sound of the band... I guess. I don't have a clue what... maybe something about nature since nature has a will to live and strive on even through everything humans put it through." he grabbed hold of Jude's shoulder stopping him for a moment as he pointed down towards a flower that was blooming through the concrete sidewalk. "Like that... it strives and pulls through even though the odds are against it. So maybe something like Stone Flowers... except more musical so... " he thought a moment again and laughed. "Like Sound Flower perhaps."

The stars in his eyes shimmered, and looked back to Niles again. Slowly, a slightly devilish smirk arose on his face, and without warning he threw one arm around Niles' shoulder.
"You should join me, Niles!" A light seemed to glow off of him, shining almost brighter than the very rays of the sun itself. Of course, that was all imaginary, and if anyone were to actually see it, they would be in dire need of an eye check.
Jude turned a different way, leading Niles away from the original direction and towards a different way. He stopped at a cross walk, awaiting the light to change.
"Yes! I think you should come over a listen to some music with me. That way you could get a better idea of real rock, instead of all the mainstream happy 'LOOKITMEICANSINGABOUTFLUFFYCLOUDSANDBUMBLINGBUMBL EBEES!!'" Still without waiting for a proper answer, he began to drag Niles across the street, not caring if the other was struggling or not.

Niles eyes went wide when the man beamed at him, showing him that almost absurdly happy side of him and before he knew it Niles was flying in a direction he was sure he wasn't intended to go in. "W-wait one moment!" the once sheltered child, the perfect boy of any parents dreams... was now being dragged kicking and flailing into sin. It was the last thing a parent wanted to hear about, and the one thing his parents were trying to keep him from. But with a face like Jude's a personality like Jude's... who was going to say no? Niles found himself panicing at first but... what was this 'Real rock' he questioned. He knew the oldies of the 60's, and some of the more exotic bands that were presenting themselves to the world like Kiss and AC/DC but... what was this real rock? Wern't those band rock? He almost... ALMOST went along with this man willingly but he knew what this man would show him would be wrong, that his parents would disapprove... and at first it shyed him away ... but as he thought on it. That thought of disobeying everything he was taught. To go home with this stranger and partake in the music he was forbidden from... it thrilled him... and he ran along with Jude, only taking a moment to glance at the boy. "Show me... I want to know what it's like."
