She nodded "thanks-- what's your name again?" she asked softly, she let out a small growl of pain when another coughing fit wracked through her slender frame "damnit" she screamed, the shadows themselves beginning to tremble under her fury "you'll have to tell him the demon that attacked me will be coming after him if he's not cautious.. I personally will tell him what to do with the blade, and if he doesnt listen then Gideon will be on his ass like flies upon rotting meat" she spoke carefully, since she was the second in command she felt like he'd listen to her over everyone else, but would he really?
When the mages hands came over her she closed her eyes, her pain was fading into the darkness around her. Her tail lay limp on the bed and she let out a small, growling groan hoping that she could finally sleep or at least meditate "he's coming..." she muttered "for his rebellious blade..." she wasnt prophetic but she was however in tune with that around her "prepare the lord.. prepare him to destroy what he hols precious..." she was dazed, slipping between conscious and unconscious, she yawned and laid back, humming a dark tune, allowing the images of her kills to float freely through her memories. |
"Legacy." She said simply to the first question asked and she just nodded bowing lightly before leaving. Her mood was slowly dimming back down to what it normally was as she went blood covered to the thrown room. She would relay the message and face his unwillingness hoping Lord Nagi wouldn't go from uncoroperative to angry. She'd never gotten him angry at her but had a feeling it would be nasty if she did. Going to the thrown room she sighed and pushed the doors to the thrown room open awaiting what would happen next.
She smirked faintly when she saw Warryck's hand jerk away from the food. Turning to fully face him, she raised a single eyebrow before shrugging.
"Your own fault for trying to steal my food, and yes, I did know that." She answered before turning quickly away. When he started commenting about her job, Serai'el simply sighed. She'd already been given grief about her job from her seven siblings and both parents, he wasn't about to make her feel bad about it. "Firstly, I don't kill for sport, only when I need the money. Secondly, the only people I've killed are those who didn't deserve to live anyway, cruel scum of humanity." She muttered the last part as her hand clenched on the table for a moment. Thinking about her 'victims' often irritated her, they really were the dregs of man, cruel people who made the lives of others around them miserable. In the end she didn't even bother to try and stop him from taking the fruit from her plate, she only gave him a look before eating from her own plate again. Turning back to Airan she gave him a slight glare before sighing. "Yeah there is. How 'bout explaining why you didn't answer your door like any normal person would? I was stuck waiting there for ages, with this idiot chattering like a bird in my ear cause you didn't answer!" She grumbled, using her thumb to motion to Warryck when she mentioned him. |
Warryck smiled jubilately at the complaint she made about talking to him, unmoved by the argument to defend herself, "If I remember correctly, I didn't hear you tell me to shut up. All I really heard was you talking about how I looked, but nothing about my conversing with you or anyone. Hell you didn't even thank me for the bread I gave you." He laughed boldly as he thought about how much nicer Livian was to him even after his rude comment earlier, but Serai'el was far colder than she was when she met him. Damn she must really hate me. Well I like a tough challenge. Just give it time, she'll eventually get used to me.
Livian laughed watching them. "I don't think it is his fault Serai'el if he was here then he couldn't have opened the door to begin with." She stated simply. "I think you were to full of things to say to realize the hints for you to be silent." Livian said turning her attention to Warryck. "Not that you would of caught them if you'd heard them. Not your fault some people just miss subtlety." She stated simply before yawning. Shaking her head and scratching her ear. "Its a bit chilly no?" She questioned feeling cold. Then again she was in very little clothing from the constant switching of forms. It didn't occur to her that could be the only reason she was cold.

Nagi had found a way to come himself by laying in the middle of the throne room, on the cold floor with his arms spread out wide. He just simply stared at the ceiling and constantly ordered his servants to bring him different wine's. He had, at least, twenty empty wine bottles laying all around him. Luckily for Nagi, he doesn't get drunk due to his vampire blood, so he could drink and drink, yet nothing would ever happen to him. When Nagi heard the doors to the throne room open, he looked over to see Legacy,"Why are you covered in blood? More importantly, why am I revolted by the smell of that blood?" According to Nagi, his blood intake was more important than anything. So when he finds blood that he is revolted by, he gets curious as to why.
Legacy chuckled some. "M'lord, this is the devil Kae's blood." She stated simply. "She was wounded while you two were away. I assisted her to a room upon which she may recover in. Secondly she gave me a message to relate to you. She says that the devil Gideon is coming for your rebellious sword. You should be prepared and she will explain the rest latter, but that I should prepare you for parting with that which is dearest to you." She stated simply raising an eyebrow. "Whatever that all means." She added lightly. "You also shouldn't drink so much we still have dungeon full of captives and our two new members helped take a city across from the one you took and I assume that they managed to take a third city on their own and should be returning shortly if they aren't already back." She said simply.
Nagi sat up and grunted at his soreness, but quickly stood to his feet and walked over to Legacy,"Lets go take care of the captives right now. Forcing weaklings to do my biding kinda relaxes me, unless you would like to give me a massage?" He looked down at Legacy, cocking an eyebrow. Before she could respond though, he continued talking,"Kaelos most likely wants me to leave the castle and lay low for a little while. Too bad I'm way too stubborn to do that." He started walking off towards one of the few doors that lead to the dungeon, but quickly told a guard to tell Belbyr and Jaenelle to meet them in the dungeon.
Legacy kept from rolling her eyes. "Yes M'lord." She said simply frowning when of the servants ran over and used some magic cleaning her off. "Next time just leave it." Legacy said in annoyance. She walked down to the dungeons and looked at the group of cowarding people. "I took the liberty to send the children off to be trained." She stated simply surprised her lord wasn't in a worse mood.
Nagi nodded,"Alright, fine by me." He snapped his fingers and the guards standing int he dungeon opened up all of the cells, then pulled the captives out. One of the captives that caught Nagi's attention was an elderly man,"Looks like an old one managed to stay alive for a little longer. Legacy, if you don't mind." The guards separated the elderly man from the other captives, so Legacy could kill him without letting the others see. Nagi didn't bother with asking if they wanted to make a contract, he just walked up to each one, his right hand having a red and black aura now, and put each one under his trance. Before obtaining the sword, Nagi was only able to trance one person at a time, but now he could put five under his trance at once.
Legacy nodded walking past her lord and went to the old man. She drew her sword and looked at him. "How do you want to die? Quick or slow?" She asked not really caring. After getting a drawn out answer she just cut his head off to make sure the others didn't hear. Closing her eyes as blood spattered into her face. A guard handed her a cloth and she used it to get the blood off her face. Moving back to her place against a near by wall she looked at her lord. It only happened once in a great while but there would be a mage that would be able to block the trance. It looked like she was only going to kill one today however.
Brushing his hands off on each other, Nagi turned to the closest guard,"Get them sized for armor, find out their preference in weapons, and begin their training." Then, he looked over at Legacy and motioned for her to follow him as he headed back towards the door he came in through,"Take me to where Belbyr and Jaenelle are. I have some questions I need to ask them." As he got to the stairs, Nagi came to an abrupt stop and turned quickly turned around to face Legacy,"If your up for it, me and you need to head to Falquister. I had something made for you, but I forgot to put the craftier under my trance. In turn, he refuses to come bring it to me and wants me to go get it from him. So, you up for the travel?" Nagi cocked an eyebrow as he waited for Legacy's reply.
Legacy followed behind her lord and had to back up some so he wasn't in her face. That whole security thing about being close to people. "I'm not sure were those two are but I can find them. First of all, second I'm up for the trip I've been meaning to get some fresh air lately." She stated simply. She pulled her hair over her should crossing her arms. "M'lord which are you more interested in happening however? Do you want me to find the two new ones? Or travel with you?" She added bowing her head respectfully. She added 'M'lord' as a reassurance thing. So no matter what it was she was saying she showed a little respect.
Nagi clasped his hands together,"Good. Find the two first though, I need to speak with them and renew the 'contract' between me and Jaenelle." He turned around and continued to climb the stairs, but turned around again,"Be sure to pack lightly, it's going to be a decently long trip and I plan to run all the way there, so hopefully you can keep up." Soon enough, Nagi was back at the entrance to the throne room. As usual, he took his place on his throne and told a servant to get him a cloak for the journey, as well as something to hide Rebellion in. He looked over at Rebellion, which was still in the flooring, and pulled it out with ease, then laid it across his lap as he waited for Legacy to get Belbyr and Jaenelle.
Legacy rolled her eyes lightly. "Yes 'lord" She said simply walking out. Once in the thrown room she took in a sharp breath and exploded almost into a large murder of crows. Twenty animals tops. The birds flew out all over the are looking for the two she'd sent off earlier. Jaenelle was harder to find then Belbyre which half of her found quickly. "Blebyre please report to the thrown room." half the birds said in unison as the other half circled Jaenelle. "Jaenelle our lord wants you." The chimed simply in an eerie voice. Shifting and separating like this was Legacy's specialty so it didn't drain as much energy as it would for other shifters who could do this. Shifting into a large amount of animals at once was very rare even for shifters. It was something one must learn to do and then it is very rough on the body.
a scream echoed all throughout the castle, Kaelos arched her back, feeling something leaving her, she grunted in pain before looking up at the Mages, with gleaming eyes she bolted upright, she bowed to each of them, willing to spare their lives before allowing herself to sink into the darkness which surrounded the rooms, quickly she appeared behind the two "Nagi.." the shadows hissed, just as Kaelos appeared, standing at the normal height of seven feet she cackled "I have some things we need to discuss later" she was oblivious to the time, when she saw legacy, she bowed at the waist "Merry Meet Shifter" she sounded rather amused "Thank you for helping me" her slender body was now covered in thick scars, the mages could only slow the bleeding and speed the healing, they could not choose at which rate the scars would fade "This concerns the blade" she cocked her head back to Nagi, before she could react further she cupped a hand over her mouth and stumbled back "you need to drink less alcohol and focus on what lands you take, I will claim Shi Kami as our own tomorrow. Since we traveled to Satsuriku no Tenshu so quickly I have time on my hands" she sighed turning her back to them, knowing it was an inopportune time for her to be speaking with the lord and his .. soldier which kae considered his servant "You know how to find me when it's opportune to talk strategy.. remember, we need to speak about your blade" her voice trailed off when her form was overtaken by the shadows, she was back out in the courtyard, levitating three feet off of the ground, running her soft fingertips across the blade, eyes closed but watching. She wanted Shi Kami for her own, and she would have it.
Jaenelle wasn't used to being around shape shifters so she was confused when a murder of crows flew towards her. It made sense when they spoke. Jaenelle wasn't sure if she should be happy or scared at being summoned so she was both as she ran to the throne room. She realized that there was still blood on the cloak she stole so once she passed a servant she took it off and threw it at her. "Clean it and put it my room," she commanded. She raced to the rest of the way, only slowing down once she could see the door so she wouldn't be out of breath when she spoke with Lord Nagi.
Jaenelle entered the throne room and bowed upon seeing Lord Nagi. "You wanted me, my lord?" |
By the time Kaelos had left and Jaenelle arrived, he already had two chairs placed out for Jaenelle and Balbyre,"I wanted to know how your feeling and if your capable of not running around, burning villages down when I'm away." He didn't really care that she did attack two nearby villages, but he didn't want his castle guarded by only mindless soldiers and a Devil that can leave at any time. Nagi leaned forward in his throne,"Also, either before Balbyre comes or after he leaves, we need to renew our contract before I leave. So, when I do leave, your in charge. Legacy is coming with me, which is why she isn't going to be taking command." He stood up as one of the servants brought a cloak to him, then another servant placed Rebellion in, what looked like, rolled up sheets held shut by leather straps. Nagi slipped the cloak over his shoulders, but didn't put the hood yet. He would put it on when him and Legacy had to go through any towns.
Jaenelle sat down in one of the chairs indicated for her. She assumed that he wanted to know how she felt physically, and the assumption was confirmed when he mentioned their contract. "I feel fine, my lord. We can renew the contract now if you wish. And if you don't want me to attack anymore I won't. As long as you tell me you don't want it done I won't do it." She was disappointed that he wasn't happier that she had helped expand his territory. She also decided not to trust Belbyer after this incident. From now on it would only be direct orders from Lord Nagi, or whoever he placed in charge. "I will make sure that the castle runs well and is not damaged in your absence, my lord."
The bird around Jaellene flew off when she went to the thrown room. She manifested in front of Belbyre as all the crows came together they formed her curvy form before falling feathers were all that were left of her feathery form. She sat in a window. "Any time now I have to travel so I do hope we can get this done." She stated simply with a yawn. She did hate very much running around to distant towns and lands but she seemed excited about this trip.
Nagi nodded as he grabbed the, now concealed, sword and strapped it to his back. He walked over to Jaenelle and gently took her left hand into his right hand. Leaning his head forward, Nagi sunk his fangs into her palm as he started to suck the blood out. This time, he took a little more than previously, then pulled his head away,"Sit. Once I walk out the main gates, the servants and guards will do as you say until I come back." He looked over to a servant and told her to bring Jaenelle anything she wanted.
Belbyer saw a few crows aproach him. He was a little confused, but then heard what they had to say. Since he didn't know what this was all about he did as he was told and reported to the throne room. He looked at everyone who was there. "You called for me? " He asked. He looked at legacy and smiled. "How can I be of assistance?"
Legacy grinned. "Well the Lord gets your audience first I'll talk to you before I leave." She said simply looking at Nagi. She coughed up a feather or two with a frown. That was what she got for switching into a flock of birds she ended up with feathers in her lungs. Rolling her eyes as she sput them out she shook her head like a cat. She hated the taste of feathers.
Nagi looked up as Balbyre entered the throne room,"Ah good your here, just in time too. While me and Legacy are away, Jaenelle is in charge and you are to guard her with you life. If there is one scratch on her when I come back... lets just say, your world will be inside out." Nagi gave Balbyre a malicious smile as he clasped his hand on the shifters shoulder. He patted Balbyre's shoulder a few times before walking past him, but then turned around and picked Jaenelle up. He carried her over to his throne and sat her down on it. Nagi turned around without saying anything and walked back towards huge doors that lead to the main gates of his castle. He was ready to go, so he hoped Legacy was too because he wasn't waiting up for her.
Belbyer slightly bowed his head as Lord Nagi walked by him. "I will do as you say. She will be unharmed when you return." He looked at Jaenelle and smiled. "I hope you don't cause much trouble for me to clean up." He told her jokingly. Then he turned to legacy. "I see you're leaving." He frowned. "Will you talk to me now, or will this have to wait until you return?" He asked her in a soft voice. As lord Nagi left the throne room Belbyer tried to picture what it would be like with Jaenelle in charge. Hopefully it wouldn't be complicated. He then turned to Legacy and let out a slight "hmm?" as if telling her to respond.
