Jaenelle wasn't ready to accept an apology by any means. She wanted to kill this demon more than she wanted to kill Legacy, and that was a lot. She also didn't want to set the demon off again so she said, "Jaenelle," then walked out of the room. She walked away from the meal she was so looking forward to eating. She walked away from the man she had been tracking down for over a week just so she could be close to him. And she walked away from the only people that had made her truely angry in years.
She walked out of the castle and stepped into the closest shadow, using it to bring her to the closest village, that Lord Nagi didn't control, so she could burn it to the ground.

Belbyer heard the demon's introduction, then faced her. "It's been a pleasure to meet you." he told her with a smile. "Now Legacy. I'd prefer to go clean up now instead of later. Could you tell me where I can go?" He looked at Legacy and smiled. "We can speak of the contract later on." Belbyer watched Jaenelle walk away. As she stated her name he gave her a slight nod of acknowledgement. "Isn't she something." he smiled, and turned back to Legacy awaiting her response.

Fate's Pearl 02-20-2010 04:21 AM

Legacy sighed. "I've heard of you." She said off to the side as she played with her wine. "If you go down the hall there is an empty room with a shower and I have a personal hate for elves so I don't think anything right now. I'll defenitly draw up that contract and could someone please bring me something other than wine to drink. Its getting old." She stated setting the glass down. "By the way Belbyre I'm impressed by your actions however I'd like to teach you if your willing to learn." She added. "Another time however we'll speak but fourth door down on your left is an empty room." She added.

Bravos 02-20-2010 04:30 AM

Balbyer was impressed at what Legacy told him. "Yes, I would love to learn from you." he told her with a smile. " But for now I will be at the fourth room down on the left getting cleaned up. We shall speak of that, and the contract later. It's been an honor being in you presence." He said. He winked at her, put his cup down and left the room. As he walked down the hall he noticed Jaenelle walking out of the castle. "I wonder where she's going." He said. He shifted into a small bird and followed behind her.

Fate's Pearl 02-20-2010 04:42 AM

Legacy smirked slightly nodding. "Thank you." She stated simply. She had to admit being admired even slightly was refreshing. "And what of you Kai? Are you going too or will you stay?" She questioned looking up. "I find it an interesting situation being in a room with a demon so much older than I." She added standing. "With age comes wisdom and strength for demons does it not?" She asked with a sigh as she got a glass of water. She drank a little of it sighing at the refreshing lack of taste and smell.

Kai La Morte 02-20-2010 04:59 AM

"I'm a devil sweetheart" she looked over at her "there are two categories of Evil beings, the first and lesser being a demon, then the more powerful is a devil" she grinned, still feeling proud of her accomplishments she let out a long and somewhat depressing sigh "I'll stay, if Nagi acknowledges that I am stronger than him" she grinned her eyes shifting from a calm yellow to fierce orange she went from small and happy kai to kaelin, the neutral yet powerful attitude between the three "If he at least makes that attempt, i will stay, if not, i will both kill him then leave you all defenseless and leaderless" they werent stuck between a rock and a hard place, but, for someone as ego-centric as nagi would feel that way. Possibly.

EmilyNova 02-20-2010 05:02 AM

Jaenelle used the shadows of the trees to travel short distances. If she knew what towns and villages Lord Nagi had taken control of then she would know which ones to avoid. Now it irked her that he didn't bother to learn their names. She headed in the direction of Miiska. She stopped. "Miiska," she said to herself smiling. If Lord Nagi liked Elf blood so much he could attack Miiska. She could use it to redeem herself in his eyes. She would get him more Elves than he would know what to do with. She decided once she returned to the castle she would immediately tell him about Miiska and how ripe for the picking the Elves where there. For now she walked along the forest looking for any signs of a village or city.
She finally found one on the outskirts of the forest. She stepped into the shadow of a large tree after breaking of one of it's smaller branches and appeared in a home with a fire. The owners were asleep and using the fire for warmth on this cold night. She used one of their knives, not wanting to dirty her own and proceeded to cut the leaves of the branch.

Bravos 02-20-2010 05:10 AM

Balbyer saw Jaenelle come to a small town and decided to aproach her. Flying as fast as he could he attempted a quick shift landing in front of her. He shifted back to his human form as he landed and looked at Jaenelle. "Hey. I was impressed when I saw you jump on that demon back there. You seem pretty strong hearted, and I'm glad to have you on our side. We need more like you to become a stronger army." He looked her up and down. She wasn't too short, like he expected most elves to be, and he still couldn't believe that in her state she risked her life to save Lord Nagi. "So.. what are you doing out here?" he asked her and stood waiting for her response.

EmilyNova 02-20-2010 05:25 AM

Jaenelle glared at Belbyer when he appeared and started talking. "Shh!" She could hear the people stirring and waking up so she sighed and stood up. "I just did what I could to help Lord Nagi. Thank you though." She put the leafless branch into the fading fire and hoped it caught before the flames went out. She then walked over to the bed in the room they were in and looked for the sleeping occupants throat. "I'm doing what I always do when I get this angry," she said slipping a dagger from a shoulder strap up her sleeve and into the man's neck before he could open his eyes. "I'm killing and razing." She then removed the dagger and walked to the other side of the bed where a woman was mumbling and sitting up. She grabbed the woman's hair and tossed her onto the floor. "Is that stick on fire yet?" she asked Belbyer before thrusting her dagger into her wide-eyed victim.

Bravos 02-20-2010 05:33 AM

Belbyer couldn't believe what he was seeing. Jaenelle was commiting cold blooded murder. She didn't look like the type of girl who would do such a thing. When he saw her stick her dagger in the man's throat a chill ran down his spine. "She really is evil." he thought. When she asked him if the stick was on fire he turned to look at it. "Sure is" He told her. He picked it up and handed it to her. "I see this and can't believe it" he told her. "You have proved to me how evil you can be. And to think that a few moments ago I saw you as nothing but a helpless little elf who was in weak condition." He smiled at her. "I guess i was wrong."

EmilyNova 02-20-2010 05:51 AM

Jaenelle took the stick and dropped it the bed. "Thank you." The bed began to catch fire so she passed Belbyer and out of the house. She laughed when he compared her to how she had been in the castle.
"I'm sorry if you think I'm not still that weak little Elf. I may have a heart of lead and more courage than I know what to do with but I'm obviously useless in a fight. That bitch proved that." She looked at the adjacent house and decided it was close enough that she wouldn't have to set fire to each individual house. "Come on. The next one should catch. Let's find a good spot to watch." She walked back towards the forest.

Bravos 02-20-2010 06:01 AM

Belbyer saw Jaenelle drop the burning stick on the bed. She walked out and he saw bed catch on fire. "She's planning on burning down the whole town!" He thought. She suggested they went to find a good spot to watch the fire, and he found that idea very lovely. Watching a town burn to ashes. Amazing. He followed her and as they walked he began to speak. "So what made you want to join Lord Nagi's army?" He asked. "What is it you want out of all this? What do you think of the others who are part of the army?" He continued to walk and as he waited for her response he thought of how he had underestimated her and how wrong he had been.

Kai La Morte 02-20-2010 06:04 AM

Upon using her Umbrakinesis kaelos was waiting in Nagi's private quarters, she had her hands clasped behind her back, pacing to and fro, her tail whipping and lashing about angrily, she hissed under her breath, attempting to keep calm but finding no plausible reason. her jaw tensed and hands twitched as she waited, needing to talk to him, although she was in her neutral form, she was all but calm, she was staring at her feet, attempting to fight off her shadow demon qualities, attempting to keep herself from lashing out at anyone, repeating the situation from earlier over and over in her mind, finding any way it could have gone differently, but, alas, there was no way it could have.

EmilyNova 02-20-2010 06:15 AM

Jaenelle looked back at Belbyer. "You're very nosey aren't you?" She turned back around and said, "I can't trust you." She continued walking away until she reached a nice tall tree. She felt too drained to climb the tree so she walked into the shadow it cast and walked out on a higher branch. She sat down on the thick branch and leaned against the trunk of the tree trying to fight the lightheaded feeling she was getting after exerting herself so much.

Bravos 02-20-2010 06:30 AM

Belbyer saw Jaenelle shadow jump to a high branch of the tree they were standing by. He quickly shifted into an owl and flew up next to her. "I know I'm evil, but I can be trustworthy. I attempted to save your life back there. If i was completely hardhearted I would have left you for dead, but I didn't did I?" Belbyer looked into Jaenelle's brown eyes. "Look at us." He said. "We're in am army, and armies have to be strong. The only way to be strong is to trust each other, right? So what do you say? Let's be friends." He shifted back to his human form and sat beside her. He looked at her once more and smiled in hope that she would accept. He was amazed at her strength, her intelligence, and her courage. He couldn't stop thinking what a great warrior she was.

EmilyNova 02-20-2010 06:40 AM

Jaenelle laughed. Was he serious? He looked serious. "Okay 'friend' I will answer whatever questions I chose to but you have to answer one for each one I answer." She wasn't about to release information without getting some in return. She needed leverage in case he decided that he didn't want her as a 'friend' anymore. "And we're going to start this with you. What do you want out of joining his army?" She didn't even look at him. She just watched as the fire spread from one house to the next chasing families out of their homes.

Bravos 02-20-2010 06:52 AM

Belbyer accepted her terms. He would answer her question, that way maybe she would trust him. He was being serious when he asked her to befriend him. He was honored to be talking to such a brave girl! "I'm a person who seeks power and freedom." He started. "I joined this army because that is what I'll get out of it. Once we rule everything then we will be free to do as we wish, and we will have control over all things. I used my powers to control everyone in the town I came from. They would bow to me when they saw me and be willing to do all I asked, but then I heard about Lord Nagi. He was becoming powerful and rising quickly. I wanted to help him gain control over everything, and I wanted to show the world who I was and what I was capable of. So I hope to get freedom and power out of this, and that is the truth." He smiled at her. He had told her the truth and hoped she realized it. She's more difficult than she seems He though. He nodded, signaling that it was her turn to answer his questions.

EmilyNova 02-20-2010 07:15 AM

Jaenelle thought that Belbyer's goals made more sense than her own, not that that was going to stop her. "I wish this came with power and freedom. I haven't even been part of Lord Nagi's army for a day and I've gotten in trouble for using Legacy's shadow and attacking a demon that was hurting Lord Nagi." She giggled as someone tried to load all their possessions on to a cart while their neighbors house burned. She saw him nod out of the corner of her eye.
"Right, my turn." She thought back to the three questions and considered which ones would give him the least leverage. "Let's see... I don't like Legacy. I think she knows it too. I wasn't exactly sneaky about it. She's vexes me. And my feelings for the demon are obvious, not that it matters since I have to play nice with her." Jaenelle didn't want to go into detail about why she didn't like Legacy. That would lead to one secret she wanted to keep until the time was right. "What about you? What do you think of them?"

Bravos 02-20-2010 07:31 AM

Belbyer listened to Jaenelle and then answered her question. "I personally, of course, hate the demon. So I agree with you on that, but Legacy I don't hate. She seems quite interesting and not a bad person to be around. To be honest I like being around her. Maybe it's because we're both shapeshifters, or maybe it's just because of the way she is. My point is that I could never dislike her." He smiled. "As for you, well.. I went from thinking you were completely useless to admiring you. Lord Nagi is someone I look up to. Someone who I also admire." Belbyer turned to her and looked her in the eyes with a smile. "So I've answered yet another question. It is only fair that you do the same." He told Jaenelle.

EmilyNova 02-20-2010 07:48 AM

Jaenelle gagged as if Belbyer were confessing his undying love for Legacy. "I thought it was just shapshifter mating season." Jaenelle laughed at the memory.
"Oh no! They're starting to put out the fire!" She leaned forward and watched as the villagers formed a line and passed bucket after bucket of well water down it to extinguish the flames. She wished she could control them like Lord Nagi and make them run around in fear again.
"If we're including each other in that question then I'll let you know in case you didn't figure it out before. I hated you. I appear and you have your sword pointed at Lord Nagi then you insulted me. I was going to attack you. Dizzy or not I would have tried my hardest to rip you apart just for drawing your sword on him. If you weren't joining us I might have actually attacked." Jaenelle didn't want to answer the other two questions so she hoped that that covered her part of the information sharing. Just in case she yawned and fell into the shadows, coming back out at the base of the tree. She started walking back to the castle, supporting herself on a tree whenever she could reach one so she didn't fall asleep as she walked.

Bravos 02-20-2010 07:56 AM

As Jaenelle left Belbyer suddenly realized what she said. "I hated you" he whispered. "She said hated.." He shifted back into an owl and followed behind her. He once again performed a shift landing in front of her so he could get her attention. "You said you hated me. Does that mean you don't anymore? " he asked her in bewilderment.

EmilyNova 02-20-2010 08:04 AM

"All that and that's what you catch?" Jaenelle rolled her eyes. "Yes, I no longer hate you. Now it's more of a moderate to mild dislike. You did try to save me. That counts for something." She walked around him. She needed to keep moving so she wouldn't fall asleep. The last few hours were too rough for her with the extra half pint of blood. With the adrenaline wearing off she was feeling the effects of the night.

Bravos 02-20-2010 08:09 AM

Belbyer smiled after hearing what Jaenelle had to say. "Well, I'm glad you no longer hate me. Hopefully you can also stop disliking me eventually." He noticed that she had begun to walk around him. She looked weak and helpless. He knew that she had been through a lot today, although he didn't know the reason for her weakness. "I want to help you." He said. As he finished saying that he ran in front of her as he shifted into a large, furry bear. "Climb on my back and I'll bring you to the castle." He would have shifted into a horse, but it would be uncomfortable and it would have been difficult for her to climb up in her condition. That's why he chose a bear. The fur would keep her warm and comfortable, and he would be able to scare anyone who came near them.

EmilyNova 02-20-2010 08:14 AM

Jaenelle smiled and laughed. "I'm not going to climb on your back." As much as the idea appealed to her she didn't want to feel weak anymore. "You can walk beside me, but don't touch me unless I actually pass out. Understood?" She walked into a shadow and stepped out ahead of him. She didn't know how far she was from the castle. She hoped that she was close but she had a feeling she wasn't.

Bravos 02-20-2010 08:23 AM

Belbyer frowned when Jaenelle didn't accept his offer. What would it take to convice her that he was very trustworthy? He felt rejected, he was attempting to be nice and she just turned him down. He decided not to push his niceness onto her, so he agreed to just walk next to her. He feared she would get hurt. It was dark, and she seemed like she was barely able to walk. If I can't help you by bringing you to the castle, I will at least make sure you get there safely. he thought. He ran forward when she used a shadow to get ahead, and from there on he did his best to keep up with her.
