Jaenelle was glad that he didn't force the issue. It wasn't long before she saw his logic. She walked a few steps with her eyes closed because they felt to heavy to keep open. Then she began to waver in her steps. She began to fall of her own accord when her foot hit a rock and she fell faster. "Ow!" She hated having to admit that she needed help. She would have been fine using him if she wasn't tired but that fact that she actually needed him just made her stubborn. "Fine. Carry me." She wasn't going to make it easier on him though. She didn't left a finger to help herself get on him. She just waited for him to pick her up.

Belbyer saw when Jaenelle fell down. He rushed to her and smiled when he heard her say the words "carry me" She didn't try to help herself. She was just there. On the floor. Belbyer shook his head with a smile and shifted back to his true form. He walked over to her and lifted her up. He had to shift while holding her, and he wanted to make it as subtle as possible. He let go of her and caught her on his back. He had shifted once more into the furry , warm bear. He traveled as fast as he could to the castle with Jaenelle on his back. As he reached the front gates he noticed that the guards were scared. Of course they were. A big bear was running towards them. When he noticed this he shifted back to his human form and held Jaenelle in his arms. "Where is her room?" He asked one of the guards. He was given directions and carried Jaenelle where he was told. He softly laid her on a bed and placed the covers around her. He walked towards the door, but before he left he turned to her and said. "Do you need me to read you a story?" He chuckled and walked out of the room. He headed towards the room that Legacy ahd told him to go to. He was exhausted, and now even he could tell he needed a shower. He walked into the room, found the bathroom and showered. Once he was done he decided he needed to rest, so he climbed into the bed that was in the room and took a deep breath as he fell asleep.

Serai'el stiffened as a female voice sounded. How had she not heard them approaching? Perhaps it was simply because she was too intent on getting some form of food. The forest was terrible when it came to food, too much meat not enough fruits and such. Even then, when she did find something she could never tell if it was safe to eat or not. Spinning around, she glared up at the woman who had called her she-elf. Serai'el despised it when someone placed her in some category like that. Especially when most other desert elves acknowledged only those of full elf blood, not a halfling like her.

"Do not call me she-elf." She growled, then glanced at the shifter. This one intruiged her, she spoke of the desert, which meant something in common. "I wish it were as warm as the desert here, this climate is rather too cold for my liking." She answered before moving a little to lean against the door frame. "If you mean the male elf then yes, he came in not long ago. I've already knocked, don't think he heard." She said in a brisk tone, then stiffened as yet another appeared, falling to the ground. Where were these people coming from? It was like they were falling out of the trees! In her surprise a small crackle of lightning burst around one of her hands for a second before it vanished, a reflex she had when ever she thought another was trying to attack her. Still, she crouched down and gazed coldly at the man. "Looks like he's just come from the desert too, you can still see some of the sand on him." As if to proove her point she reached out, plucking a couple of sand grains from his shirt before letting them fall to the ground.

Legacy yawned. "I apologies for the mistake. I shall refer to you by your name or devil from now on." She stated softly. She scratched her nose. "We're back to the same problem before dear devil. If he dies the whole thing is thrown out the window, we lose, everything is ruined so on and so forth. We can't kill him yet. Well you can't kill him yet, I actually need him alive long than you probably do." She said softly. She drank the last of the water in her glass and stood. "Well I think I'm going to clean up, change, the works. I'll be back I suppose since this meal was abandoned you may eat what you like to regain your strength if you need." She said with a light bow as she headed towards the door.

However she was stopped by a guard with news of a burning town and the late return of the new members of the army. "Oh for god's sake." She said with an annoyed voice. She would deal with this latter. "Go with a group of armed forces take the town while its weak. I'll accompany you if you think their might be problems." She stated simply. The guard shook his head and took off. "Gah I may have to skin them both. That town is to far from our territory attacking it...was mindless."

Warryck glared at the dark-skinned girl who addressed him with a look of utter contempt. He coughed out some collected dirt that was inside of his mouth, "How does it look like I'm doing? I was just sent flying by that frigging behemoth and I'm covered in dirt, which I must say I've done for years and I've accustomed to it, but seriously think about what you've just asked me. Besides, I came alone, there was no one coming here except a group of men who were planning on killing some person named Airan or something like that." He saw another woman who's hand flashed and he enveloped his head with his arms until it was over. He hopped up after she picked a small amount of sand off of his clothes and shouted, "What the hell's your problem? I came to warn a guy he's in danger and this is what I get in return? This is so typical of a woman." He scowled at the trees, feeling a warm breeze hit his face until he realized that he didn't have the scarf on his head.

"I was being polite." Livian said with a huff. "Besides that we're trying to find or get a hold of the owner of the cottage to whom my company all seems to be of need of." She said motioning to Celes on the horse. "And there was a third horse back rider." She scanned the area and didn't see anything but she could smell another person in the distance. "Well lets be civil..." She muttered. "I'm Livian its pleasure to meet you all." She said with a bow before breaking off another part of the bone she had started eating at her own home.

Warryck laughed mirthlessly as Livian appeared to be trying to hold the peace between the recent arrivals. "Look who's talking, bone-muncher. Who'd you kill to get that bone? The last person who aggravated you?" He snarled ferociously, but he tried to calm himself down for the time being. He wouldn't be seeing any of these people anytime soon, so might as well be nice while he could. "I'm Warryck, my surname is not important," he said gruffly through his teeth. He picked his scarf up and wrapped it carefully from his neck to his nose. He asked cautiously, "Why are you here anyway Liverwurst?"

Livian growled. "A cow." She stated coldly. "Thats what was killed for this bone and I didn't even do it." She said with a another growl excaping her throat. "I was asked to accompany this woman to the Ivory tower. She knows who lives here so I'm merely a tag along." She stated annoyed. "Since we apparently know why your here, supposedly anyway." She turned to the elven girl and smiled lightly. "How about yourself?" Shea asked politely.

How dare he! It was typical of a woman? Hell, it was typical for a human, or what ever he was, to act like this, but that didn't mean she was going to start yelling at him. Although she was fairly tempted to do something to make him learn that insulting a woman was never the best thing to do. Especially one who could probably beat him hands down in a fight. Instead she sneered at him, beginning to reach back for one of her blades, though she stilled her hand.

Turning to the girl who now addressed her, she shrugged a little.
"No provisions, there's more meat in this forest then plants, and the few plants that do grow here are more then likely too poisonous to eat. Shoulda just stolen the food earlier, would have saved me a lot of hastle." She answered as if the idea of breaking and entering, let alone stealing, was completely normal. At least no one would have been harmed.

Livian nodded with a shrug. "Sounds like that would of been a less honorable thing to do but none the less sounds like the best option for the time." She stated simply with a yawn. "So...we're all still waiting for whomever lives here to open the door. So I think a nap is called for." She added moving over to the grass before shifting back into a hyena. Laying down looked at everyone lazily. She didn't notice the bones that popped and cracked as she morphed but she didn't seem to care that anyone else did either.

Warryck looked at the short woman who's hand sparked when he was laid out on the ground and chuckled to himself. He was going to start up again with the young lady to push her buttons, "What's your problem pipsqueak? I don't need you eyeing me like that, so cut it out." He stooped onto the ground, but shot back up when he saw one of the girls turn into a hyena. He shouted in shock, "What is going on here? What exactly are you anyway?" His usual reaction was to pluck his sword from it's sheath, but he was too stunned.

Again Serai'el shrugged. What did she care for honorable deeds? All that mattered to her was a full stomach and healthy, safe travel. "There is less honour in many other deeds and jobs, then taking food from another who has plenty so you may survive also." She pointed out before stiffening. Was the man really out to get himself killed? He seemed quite keen on the idea and she for one wasn't against helping him out with it.

Smirking coldly Serai'el let out a mocking laugh.
"What? Is the big-bad man afraid of a shape changer?" She teased. It hadn't surprised her as much as him, being a guide for the desert often meant meeting many strange individuals. Although she'd never seen someone change into a hyena before, this was interesting.

The hyena laughed and rolled onto its back rolling around. Livian found this quiet funny. "I'm a were-hyena." She said simply calming down. "Like a werewolf but I'm a hyena instead I find the desert much more to my liking but I moved here for reasons." She said simply.

Then she smiled again. "I only have one form so I'm not technically a shape shifter." She said softly. She stood up she was only about three feet tall when all her paws were on the ground in this shape but most people knew that hyenas could eat through everything in a living creature. Most of them would too. She jumped slightly forward grabbing her bone like a dog and quickly eating through it. "Food isn't a problem for me." She said softly. "I eat just about anything."

Nagi wondered around his castle for a few minutes, trying to clear his head before heading to his private quarters. Even though Nagi has lived in this castle for the past six years, he never saw more then a quarter of the inside of the castle. Most of his time was spent in the throne room or in his study, which had a huge window as a ceiling. Soon enough, Nagi found himself standing outside his private quarters and walked inside. He saw the demon right away, but completely ignored her as he head over to his bed and laid down,"Why are you still here? Do you want me to actually fight you this time?" He rolled over on his bed, so he was now staring straight at the demon.

The young warrior shot a dirty look at Serai'el and grunted at her response. He had one last retort and he used it happily, "Well at least I'm not a starving little crumb-snatcher." The expression was purely smug as he waited for her response and then he snapped his focus back on the she-hyena. "You shouldn't be laughing right now. The only reason I jumped was because I've never seen such an ugly creature before. Sorry, did I say that outloud? Eh I really don't care right now?" He placed both of his hands behind his head and leaned against the cottage.

Livian snarled and growled but shook it off. "Don't retort." She said to the other girl. "He does it to make himself feel better. Low self esteem." She stated with a yawn. She went back to her bone but her ears were now laid back against her head. She hated that word, 'ugly', why didn't anyone see that hyenas aren't ugly just because they eat everything. Her appetite being gone she moved her bone and laid her head down. It was times like this she hated not being able to bring herself to tear people to shreds and eat them. For one the hyena didn't have the taste for blood and for second she thought such mindless killing was stupid.

Warryck smiled as he closed his eyes warily, "Nah, not a ounce of low self-esteem in me. I'm just rough around the edges and I hate being stared at, but I guess that happens when girls are attracted to me." He slumped lower, hoping the owner would open the door and separate him from the mangy woman and the hotheaded shrimp. He laughed as he thought about how much fun it was to irritate people of the opposite sex. He hadn't got a chance to do so since before he'd fled his village at the warning of the mysterious stranger. Another thought occurred to him, what if this was the group he was doomed to cooperate with. It couldn't be though, the guy said three and clearly this was two, so this was out of the question.

Those comments were low, even for a human creature like him. They weren't the worse she had heard of course, she'd had other worse insults then 'starving little crumb-snatcher'. But hey, at least she was smart enough to know how to snatch her crumbs without being caught, with others being none the wiser. Biting back her own scathing responce, she nodded to the other girl before lowering herself down to sit on the ground, back resting against the wall.
"I don't see why you would call a creature that could easily kill you ugly. People ought to respect those more powerful then themselves, besides, Hyena's are perfect for the places they live, I once saw a few of them back home, didn't attack me, they were just going about their business." She said in a soft tone, as if half speaking to herself. Her eyes were fixated on her hands as she watched small beads of water spreading across the skin, beginning to clean away the dirt that had begun to cling to them. Smirking as she concentrated, Serai'el had to stop herself from laughing at his comment. "Attracted to you? I'm sorry, but sand flies are more attractive then you." She grinned widely, though didn't look up.

Warryck wasn't too bothered by the comment, but when he opened his eyes, she didn't even look at him. "Well for your information, I wiped out a whole tribe when I was 15. So that should be enough to let you know I'm stronger than I look. Oh next time you try to fool someone, you may want to look them in the eyes otherwise it's a dead giveaway, besides I know I'm better looking than a damn sand fly." He stood up to go and get his newly obtained horse and began to dig through the different skin pouches until he found some food. He spoke loudly on purpose, "Mhm, salted lamb's tongue and bread. My favorite meal and to eat it under this beautiful moon." He was bluffing of course because he hated eating lamb tongue and the new color of the moon gave him a bad case of creeps. He tossed to bread over to the elfin girl indifferently, deciding he had enough of teasing her for the night.

She raised an eyebrow as he seemed to boast about his accompishments. And whiping out a tribe was supposed to impress her how exactly? All the lives lost, most probably innocent, it was almost disgusting. Sure, she was being hypocritical, what with her part time job and all, but at least she only killed those deserving of it. Glancing up in surprise she shook her head slightly with a sigh before pretending to look at him, as if trying to figure something out.
"Well...I dunno...No, nope I think the sand flies have you beat kid." She laughed softly before shuddering at the mention of lambs tongue. It was a good thing she didn't eat meat, otherwise his gloating of having food would have really gotten to her.

Instead she glanced up, watching the red moon with perhaps a more nervous expression. Never had she seen it that colour before, it wasn't natural, and it unnerved her. Next thing Serai'el knew though was the bread being thrown over to her. She saw it from the corner of her eye and spun round with elfish speed to snatch it from the air, thinking it some sort of weapon. When she realised what it was, Serai'el gave him a shrewd look. "If this thing's poisoned and I die, then you're dying with me." She warned him before biting quickly into the food.

Livian sat and listened to the two. Wishing nothing but a break from hearing the man talk. "If its not low selfesteem its the liking of your own voice which is disgusting enough. As for killing a tribe of people, well thats worse, and it doesn't make you any stronger to me. Woman are the warriors in my race. We're move level headed and wiser, we do it strategically and in short amounts of time. Men are just mage like beings." She stated simply with a yawn. "I find them to be a waist of time." She added simply before closing her eyes

"If I did poison it, you must have a serious death wish. Do you think I would waste my time poisoning something perfectly good? But I guess we all have our own opinions, now don't we, dwarf?" Warryck flung the tongue over to Livian in the same manner he did to the elfin girl. He saw the elfin was still staring at him, "Okay, what is there something on my face because a few seconds ago you were talking about how unattractive I am, but you keep looking at me, so what? For someone who's so flawless, you sure don't have any manners. Besides I had no choice, they were going to kill some elf kid out in the desert what else was I supposed to do?" He twisted his face that was barely visible in the darkness. The moon was creeping him out more and more and he hoped the old geezer would come outside already.

Livian sneered. "I don't need your charity." She said pushing the tongue to the side. "I brought my own." She said nudging the bone. She had a thing against salt. It was...upsetting to her stomach to say the least. At least in this form and she couldn't eat tongue in the other. "I have issues with my food tasting me." She said simply with a sigh. "So you did it to save a single child? Sound like a good story." She said sitting up for a second and stretching. She looked up at the moon pushing her ears back again and resting looking at Warryck.

Warryck dropped his voice slightly, "I guess it sounds that way, but I just don't understand why such a little kid would travel so far out in the desert like that. Anyway if you don't want it, there is a nicer way to say it. His knee was bent and his arm rested on it as he thought about what would have happened if he didn't save the young child back then. He also reflected on his recent behavior with the two ladies outside with him. He sighed heavily and looked away because it was hard for him to apologize to others, "I-I'm su ... I'm suoo .... I was an ass earlier, I was just pissed about that thing flinging me before." There was pain in his expression as he'd done something that he really didn't want to do.

she laughed "no. you wouldnt walk away alive" she boasted annoyingly, laughing at her own remark about him knowing full well of what he was "Other matters are at hand. We need to move into Satsuriku, there are weapons there and training grounds that will help your weaker soldiers, or, at least let me take them and train them" her hair was fading from black into white, she looked down at him with her swirling orange eyes, which had no whites, this was the sign of a true devil.

"Whether you like it or not, I am your second in command and will remain as such until I leave, considering, you are the lord and i cannot take that from you" just yet she thought, raising an eyebrow at him "Take it or leave it, I will travel to Satsuriku in a fortnight to retrieve what my kind had left behind" she wasnt the last shadow demon in existence, just, the last which was split into three even parts.

She took in a deep breath, turned on her heel and headed toward the door "oh and, next time, I advise you call me by name and not disrespect me. I am your most powerful ally, without me, i doubt you'll win this pathetic little war" she didnt mean to come off as cocky or full of herself but so far, the others have proven to be low-level, scatter-brained, inexperienced and thoughtless, how could she not think of herself as better than them? Not only has her age given her wisdom but also strength and knowledge which she constantly applies with everything she faces "Make you choice now Nagi, I can either assist the other side and see to that your demise is slow and excruciating or i can go to Satsuriku and get you the weapons your pets need." with that she stepped into the shadows which were near the bedroom door "You know how to find me" were her last words, which yet again came in the form of an angry hiss.

Once outside she sat in the clearing as done before, levitating just inches off of the ground, eyes closed and observing her surroundings, her sword this time was splayed across her lap, hand on the hilt ready to attack at any time. With every beat of her blackened heart, her sword pulsed, sending vibrational energies out into their surroundings, she drug two fingers across the smooth metal, communing with it, enjoying the way it wrapped spiked tendrils around her wrists, soaking into her, lashing at her body, trying to push her away until she finally thrust a talon into it, calming it's sensational lust for carnage.

She stopped, pulling her talon from the blade, staring at the land she was looking for, Satsuriku, as before, it was uninhabited, shadows lurking the land, spirits moaning into the night. Demons singing of revenge, she grinned, obviously proud of what she had done and accomplished in her lifetime.
