Warryck waved his arm into the air to signify that he was going to identify himself, after ignoring the comment from Livian."Okay, I'm Warryck Mavelanc. My job is ... was being the unofficial guardian of the Grudo Desert." He looked down the Dining Hall and stared awkwardly at the man who'd just entered the room. "Um ... not to be rude, but uh ... who are you?" He attempted to sneak and grab the remaining food on Serai'el's plate. He grinned greedily as he was close to getting it.
Serai'el had smirked, laughing a little coldly as Warryck explained what he had done for a living.
"Unofficial is right, I'd never even heard of you." She answered before glancing side ways. Slowly she raised a hand and placed it on the table. A sudden, very weak current of lightning ran to where Warryck's hand was sneaking. It wouldn't hurt him too badly, just a slight warning to make sure he wouldn't touch her food. At the same time though, she reached down to eat some more of the food herself. Gazing a the newcomer, she remained silent, analyzing the male elf with curiousity. Perhaps this was the other guy who they had been waiting for outside his home. If he was, she had a couple of words to say to him, making her wait outside for so long! |
Warryck jerked his hand away from Serai'el's food after the minor shock she'd given him. "Ow, dammit lady. That was highly unnecessary. You are a very shrewd person, you know that, right?" He glared at her when she commented on his unfamiliar title. "Well look, at least I don't kill people for damn sport, or worse pay. So I'd rather have a unknown name as a hero than to have a known name as a killer." He shrugged without any form of distress as he spoke his mind. He wasn't going to let anyone make him feel bad about his path of profession. As she looked away, he snatched a small piece of fruit off of her plate.
"Are you sure you were a guard and not a thief?" Livian asked looking at him snatch some fruit. "Cause you appear to be better at one than the other." She said with a grin. She looked up and down the table before spotting it, it the mother of all foods, it which was not a bone, it which gave her the best tasting drink ever! It which was a cactus fruit diagonal from her plate. Wondering how she'd missed it. Before anyone else could talk she reached out grabbing the melon and setting it on her plate. Yes the whole melon, not part of it but the entire ostrich egg sized fruit. She also could smell cactus juice some where on the table she just couldn't spot it. Not really caring she opened the melon and took a bite out of a piece. "Cactus fruit..." She muttered lightly with a grin all across her face. It looked similar to watermelon on the inside with a lack of seeds and a slightly different flavor. But she loved it.
Warryck looked away from Livian as she pointed out his deed. He gave a small grin as he looked over at the food that was still present at the table. The young warrior pulled a huge loaf of bread and stuffed it into his mouth. The bread was something he wasn't used to trying, but he enjoyed it nonetheless. He swallowed it rapidly, but coughed hoarsely as he should have chewed it a bit more. Warryck grabbed a thick goblet and took a large swig of its content. He inhaled sharply as he attempted to regain his breath, but he shot a dirty look at both Livian and the antagonistic elfin that were prone to say something about his rash eating habit, but he was ready to ignore the two wholeheartedly.
Livian laughed a little watching the young man wolf down some bread. "You should slow down the food won't walk away." She stated simply with a chuckle. She munched on a small bit of the melon she'd taken and grinned again. The food reminded her of the comforts of the desert but on a negative side it also reminded her of the lack there of when she was last there. She frowned a little before going back to eating not really saying much else just watching from time to time to see what everyone was doing ready to make a commit or two about it.

Nagi had already started walking to the back entrance into his castle when Kaelos started talking. He was still covered in blood from head to toe, but had no intention of washing it off just yet. Obtaining the sword was harder than he thought and it left him in a really bad mood. Nagi was holding Rebellion in his right hand, with it laying on his shoulder when he opened up the back door and walked inside. Soon enough, he found himself in his throne room and was ignoring everybody else in there. When he stood next to his throne, he grabbed his old bastard sword by the hilt, whipped his body around, and threw it at the far wall, where the sword embedded itself, hilt deep, into the wall. Nagi took Rebellion off of his shoulder, flipped it around so that the point was towards the ground, and slammed it into the flooring. When he finally sat, he put one leg on top of the other, his arm on the armrest, and leaned forward with his chin resting on his hand,'Dammit! If there are beings that much stronger than me out there and I'm able to go to there world, what's stopping them from coming here and trying to take over.' His left hand was clawing into the left armrest of his throne. The thought aggravated him to a point of near murderous intent.

IT took no time for news to spread to Legacy about her lord return and by the time it was there she was in the thrown room. "You look like crap M'lord." She said simply. "I seem to have upset your pe....our new elf friend, lots have happened in your absence but you don't care because your not really listening." She said looking at him. She could tell when Nagi was listening or not. "Call me when your head is back on your shoulders." She said turning back to Belbyre to see if he was willing to help her mend the situation with the elven girl they'd taken on or not. It was strange the honored look in his eyes every time she spoke to him. IT kind of creeped her out. So many years of just being told what to do the whole admiration thing got creepy fast.

Airan listened hearing Livian introduce herself, a were-hyena? How interesting, he could tell from her little mannerisms and how she spoke. His eyes turned to Warryck, a polite smile formed on his lips, listening to the two.
"Haha.. Please excuse my out burst a few moments ago.. You may call me, Airan the Unpredictable. I am the sixth member of Council Nine." Airan smiled approving of his own introduction, that was all that they needed to know. Although, the way Serai'el was looking at him made his eyes curiously wonder over to her. "Is there something I can ease your mind about?" Airan asked wondering what she seemed to be staring at him for. |
Belbyer looked at Legacy. He listened to her request and then thought about it for a few moments. Lord Nagi entered the room and Belbyer bowed his head slightly. As Legacy turned to face him he smiled at her. "I'd be more than glad to help you in anything you need." He told her. "I'll do as you say." He smiled. "Would you like me to inform her of what she must do? Or would you like me to bring her here so you may explain to her what her task will be?". He smiled at Legacy and waited for her response.
Legacy grinned. "No you go a head. IN fact please by all means leave my name out of it. Also infrom her that the lord is home. I'm sure that'll brighten her day." She said with a chuckle. "Thinking now I have so very much to do." She said suddenly in what appeared to be a playful mood. She had a few times were she was struck by sudden moods and it was hard to get her out of them. Clicking her tongue she turned on her heels and walked out of the room with a slight skip in her step. "Do hurry I have another task for you." she called over her shoulder.
Belbyer smiled at Legacy's words. He liked hearing her voice, it brightened his mood. "I'll do as you say." He said. As she walked out of the room he looked at her and smiled as she told him she had another task for him. He walked out of the room and shifted into a small bird. He flew out of the castle to where Jaenelle was and landed beside her. "Would you like to go take another town down?" He asked her. It's to the west of the town we.. well.. you burned down last night. We can take a few guards with us if you think it necessary." He looked at her and shifted back into his human form. "Oh.. yes.. and.. Lord Nagi has returned." He smiled.
Jaenelle saw a bird flying right at her and wondered what stupid bird would fly right at someone. She was confused when it landed next to her until it started talking. "I would love to watch another town burn to the ground, but I'm not going to risk my already teetering standing with Lord Nagi for some entertainment." Jaenelle gave him a weird look when he mentioned guards. "Why would I want to bring them? They would be less than useless. The only thing they would be good for is alerting the town that we are attacking and killing the townspeople, neither of which I would want." She sighed and leaned against the tree, closing her eyes. She didn't open them when he mentioned Lord Nagi, not wanting to reveal how happy that made her, but her heart beat faster and a small shudder ran through her. "Really? I have something to speak with him about. If he isn't busy. Is he busy?" She opened one eye to look at Belbyer.
Belbyer looked at Jaenelle. She had one eye open, looking at him. "I'll tell you if he's busy or not... only if you agree to come take the town with me." He smiled at her ignoring the question about the guards.. If he mentioned it, he'd have to mention that Legacy.. or someone had sent him to tell her.. which was not what legacy wanted. "It'll be fun, and trust me. I'm sure it would make Lord Nagi very happy. Don't you think he'd feel releived if the first time he saw you you were giving him good news? He'd like knowing that there's someone who's actively participating in the army. Actually conquering land for him." He smiled at her. "So what do you say?"
Legacy had gone out to the court yard of the castle and found the devilness bleeding out (or so I'll assume). Blinking in confusion she cleared her throat. "You look worse than the Lord. Need help Devil?" She questioned getting it correct this time. Using her proper sir name of sorts. Her mood was still chippery and playful which was very weird for her no matter what the time was. For some reason she had a feeling something good for them was going to happen. Or something good for her she wasn't sure.
Jaenelle didn't fully trust Belbyer. There was something suspicious about his proposition. If a single thing went wrong or if Lord Nagi wasn't happy with the news she was going to make sure that Belbyer received the punishment for it. "Fine. Lead me to this town. I'll take care of the rest." She shadow jumped to the base of the tree and started off in the direction of the town she had burned last.
Belbyer jumped off the tree and shifted into a tiger as he fell. He began to walk, hoping Jaenelle was behind him. "So.. anything going.. not how you expected it today?" He asked in an attempt to start a conversation. He continued to walk until he reached the town. "This is it." He told Jaenelle. "How are we doing this?.. got any plans?" He shifted back into his human form and smiled. "I can be of use. I can shift into a bird or something and fly around to see if there's a weak spot on the town.. or anything that might make it easier to take it down."
Kae breathed in sharply before looking over at Legacy "yeah. Just a tad.." she laughed, obviously in her more humanly persona "wanna help me stand?" she asked softy, her tail swaying from side to side, her blood was onyx black, staining everything it touched, sucking the life from the underlying grass, she shivered before cupping a hand over one of the worse wounds, hoping to stifle the bleeding, but in turn only made it worse "damn..." she cried out, feeling a burning sensation flooding through her.
Legacy nodded. "Yeah let me help you." She said reaching down and grabbing Kae. She pulled her up and tried to find a wound free area to hold onto to help the woman walk. "Lets get you inside. Believe it or not I smuggled in a few mages that needed jobs so we should be able to get you put back together in no time." She said simply with a smile. "Well this outfit wasn't my style anyway." She said looking at the new stains. She slowly helped the woman slowly make their way towards the castle. "I think it'll be faster if I just turn into something you can ride. Would you prefer that?" She asked.
Jaenelle smiled at the blossoming town. She wanted to have fun with this one. Now that she was about to do the deed had had very little concern over whether there would be any consequences. She picked the lock on the nearest house and entered, not caring about who saw her or if anyone inside was awake. She pulled a cloak off a coat rack at the entrance and walked into the kitchen. A woman was preparing food. Jaenelle smiled when she saw what she was looking for, but pouted when she saw it wasn't enough.
"What are you doing in my house?" The woman was in shock from the cloaked Jaenelle barging into her home. "Do you know where the nearest bar is?" "Get out!" "I'll find it myself." Jaenelle said as she pulled a dagger from its sheath at her waist and attacked the woman. She wiped the dagger off on the woman's dress then removed her apron. She heard someone stirring in an adjacent room so she rushed, grabbing the bottle of alcohol sitting on a shelf and running out the door. She partially hoped that Belbyer would clean up her mess, but mostly she wanted to do this on her own. She ran into a dark crevice between houses and came out of the shadows in the center of town. She immediately spotted the bar she was looking for. She ran for it and shadow jumped inches away from breaking one of its windows. She could hear the crackling of a just beginning to thrive behind closed doors. That made her happy, but it also meant that someone had just started the fire. She placed the apron and bottle on the bar and walked next to the doors. She knocked over a jug of whiskey and waited for the owner to investigate. Once he stepped through the doors she pounced, startling him and knocking him over, and stabbed him ruthlessly. She kept going a little after he was dead, but stopped just as suddenly as she had started. She went along the line of alcohol and ripped the stoppers out of the most potent ones. Then she ripped the apron into pieces and made sure every piece was shoved perfectly into a bottle. Jaenelle then grabbed a broom, lit the end on fire and brought it to the entrance of the bar with her. She held it as she lined up each bottle in a neat little row. She lit the first bottle and threw it across the street right into the first story window of an important looking building. She continued lighting and throwing each bottle into a different building until she was down to the last one. She dropped the broom on the floor after lighting the last bottle, walked out of the bar, then turned around and threw it back it. She stood in the middle of the firey chaos she had started and laughed for a while. She laughed until the town's inhabitants started waking up to fight the fire. The she shadow jumped back to the outskirts of town and sat down. She didn't care what the consequences were for starting such a huge fire. She was happy. |
Belbyer stood back and watched Jaenelle become that ruthless girl again. He watched as she did everything. Once she was done he saw her shadow jump and sit near the outskirts of town. He walked over to her and smiled. "Had fun?" He asked her. He sat next to her and watched the town burn to ashes. After he noticed the town was completely wiped out he turned to Jaenelle. "Let's get back." He told her. "Let's go tell Lorg Nagi what you've done. Let's go so you can give him the good news!" He stood up and offered his hand for Jaenelle to get up. He smiled and said "Come on. We have many more things ahead of us." Not only was he ready to go, but he knew Legacy was waiting for him, and he couldn't wait to get back.

Quote:
"The stains will come out with just some cold water and soap" she spoke softly, wincing as another bout coughs wracked through her body "he's coming soon.. We need to either get Nagi and the sword somewhere safe or destroy the sword, the power will be sealed within him for all of eternity but the sword will no longer be lusted after" she spoke without taking a breath "as you've said, we need to keep this man alive, and if Gideon gets ahold of him.. there's no hope of that.." she was clearly worried about the tiefling devil. |
Jaenelle was as happy as when she first arrived at Lord Nagi's castle. It was the most fun she had had in a while. She was beginning to realize how much she loved fire and watching buildings and miscellaneous items burn. She took a deep breath and exhaled. "Yes, I had fun." She jumped up at the mention of Lord Nagi. "Come on! He'll be so happy!" At least in her euphoric state, she imagine he would be. She ran as fast as she could and as far as she could. She became tired sooner than she would normally have because her body still hadn't replaced all the blood it had lost. Her heart pounded as she forced herself to slow down and shadow jump to the castle.
Belbyer noticed that Jaenelle was excited and happy about what she'd done. He saw that in her when she jumped up ready to go back to the castle. He followed quickly behind her and thought about how once again.. he was impressed. After a while he reached the castle. He was ready to go speak with Legacy and later he'd find Jaenelle and find out how her talk with Lord Nagi had gone. He was smiling because he was back, and he was curious to see what Legacy wanted him to do next.
"Oh great...thats just...fantastic." Legacy muttered. "Trying to get anything through his head is like driving an iron nail through steel." She stated simply. She shifted form into a large monkey. "I'll just carry you." She stated simply picking up Kae carefully and quickly went into the building she went to a room that her lord didn't go into. Inside there were a few people mending minor wounds on the demons that had come in. "I've got a project for you." She stated simply. The mages turned and frowned as Legacy sat the devil down on one of their beds. "We need her in a hundred ten percent condition. Nothing less will do." She motioned for them to get to work. "Kae this ones don't talk so you should be fine. I'm going to go change."
