Night looked at Tenshi and smiled as she wrote things down. He could just picture the story but he was snapped out of his thoughts as she set down her things and layed next to him. When she reached out he was shocked still and heat rose on his cheeks. Was he really looking sad? He was trying not too. "Yeah... I would love too..." he said and remembered the picture inhis pocket. He pulled it out it was old and slightly worn around the edges but the picture was still very memerable. "This is us when we went on our first little adventure to find the perfect spot to play music... It's the old tree house in the woods..." he said handing her the picture of him and her standing in the tree house and smiling at the camera her mom had been using. "We actually rebuilt it and it used to be our secret base." he said and chuckled. "But everyone knew about it because you had painted it with bright colors and told everyone to look up when they walked by."

Salem bit her lip and had to look at the ground to get back into her mindset, not the mindset of someone else. She looked back up at Matt, her eyes emotionless once again, the playfulness that had been there moments before was now gone. Waving a hand before her, to indicate they should keep moving she said in her uncaring 'rock star' tone, "Come, let us keep moving." It killed a part of the girl to act the way she was, but she couldn't change, not because of a couple simple things like had just happened.

Mat let his hands drop from her arms and looked back towards the path they came down, wondering what had happened, he had her back, His Salem, now she was gone again. He looked back towards her and smiled stupidly, most people didn't know that, that was his mask, his stupidity, he actually actted like that when he was happy but when ever he was sad he actted that way to cheer himself up. He was good at hidding it, he had for years but Slem always knew the difference in his moods, he could never lie to her no matter how much he tried to. "Yea, this way to Angel Star." He said with a goofy smile on his face, he interlocked his fingers behind his head as he walked around the barn to get to the small coral on the other side of it so she could see what her horse's foul looked like.

"Sounds good," Zack replied, realizing that he might of overreacted. It only took them around five minutes to reach the mall. As was stated before, the town was small.
"Well here we are, the world's smallest mall," he commented while stopping. It was just across the street which was unusually busy.

Tenshi took the photo gingerly and smiled, she looked so happy in the picture...She brushed her finger over her smiling face, and then over the younger Night's. She unconsciously moved closer to the older boy and rested her head on his shoulder as she stared at the picture. She looked like she was having fun, so what made her forget...everything? "Is it...still there?" She asked softly. What was wrong with her? What had happened to the fiery apathetic star from before? There was something about this boy that was making Tenshi act all...weird. Act in a way...well, in a way she had thought she would never act again, not ever since joining the entertainment industry. People like her were crushed underfoot all the time. That's right...she hadn't wanted to be crushed, so she had made a new persona, and soon that persona became her. She closed her eyes and listened to the sound of Night's breathing, how strange...

Night looked at Tenshi softly and was surprised when she rested her head on his shoulder. He smiled softly and didn't object to it at all. He loved it that she was trying to remember. "Yeah.... I fixed it up last year... But the paint has faded...." he said remembering how he had run away from his last family and had spent a whole week devoted to rebuilding the nice tree house. "You know.... Alot of things changed when you came.... And then alot of things changed again when you left.... And I really wish some of them were good but I really can't say that." he said softly remembering when she had left he had picked a fight with his foster dad while he was drunk and had gotten beaten by him... Things really went down hill from there.

"Wow that really is a small mall....." Lyna said as she stopped in her tracks and looked at it, she wondered why they even bother to build the thing in the frist place. "Zack......" She said as she turnned towards him, tempted to ask him something about their past but she stopped, she looked at the mall and saw a sign for a Hot Topics. "Oooo! Hot Topic!" she said as she started to run towards it, for a small town they sure do have a good store, she thought to her slef.

"I...see..." She opened her eyes again and they darted to Night's face, staring at his green eyes, "Maybe you could bring me there one day...I'd like to see it." She whispered, suddenly realizing just how close their faces were, why if she leaned closer, just a little bit...wait. Stop. What was she thinking? She averted her eyes, he would think she was crazy or something if she just kissed him like that. She should probably move away too but he was so warm...and she was so comfortable just sitting here... She reluctantly raised her head and moved back a little, keeping her eyes carefully averted from Night's face, she didn't want to see what kind of expression he had on, she didn't want to know how much she was hurting him anymore. It was all too...too much.

Salem didn't follow Matt at first, she didn't know what it was about him but he seemed off. She couldn't say anything though because that would make him think that she might actully give the boy a chance. After a few moments though, she did follow. Once he stopped outside the coral she looked at the horses. One caught her eye, she was black and white and truly beautiful. "Oh wow, look at her," she said absentmindedly as she stared at the beatiful creature.

"That is Angel Star, Angel because iit was a mirical that she is alive, Star is because of her mother. She is yours.....we wouldn't sell her because of that." Mat said as he leaned on the fence his elbows inside the coral, his hands holding the top of the fence, his chin restting on his hands, his foot on the bottom piece of the fence. He turnned his head towards her, and he had a reaal smile on his face, he loved the look she had, he sat there just looking at her. He hopped into the carol and grabbing the bridal that was on her head, he took her towards Salem, hopping she was going to do what she always did with Star Fire. "Say hello to Angel Star, Salem." Matt said as he grinned at her.

A rather large grin spread across Salem's face as she climbed over and sat on the top of the fence. She wasn't sure a larger smile could fit on her face. When Matt brought Angel Star over she was practically on the very of hysterics. "Hi baby," she coo'ed to the horse and she wrapped her arms around the horses head as she rested her own head where the forelock lay. "Aren't you a pretty girl," she continued as she stroked the horses neck. "Such a pretty pretty girl." She was so happy at this moment, she was excited to actually see a horse, especially one as pretty as this.

"Hold on." Mat said as he let the bridal go and ran into the barn, when he came back out he was carrying a saddle and was bringing Soot with him. He stopped for a brief moment and tied Soot to the fence, he tossed the saddle over before he climbed in and saddled Angel Star. "There now we can go ridding." He said after he hooked the reains up and handed them to Salem, he openned the carol, untieing Soot and hoped up onto the saddle.

((Soot is gray with some black flecks lol))

"Really?" Salem asked almost surprised even though she had been watching Matt saddle the horse she was holding. Hopping off the fence, she walked around the horse, reains in hand before hopping up onto the horse. She didn't know how she knew how to get on exactly, but she did know some how. "Where are we going?" She then asked as she shifted side to side making sure the saddle was secure before patting the horse's neck base.

"Down memory lane." Mat said as he chuclked to him self. He nudge Soot into a gallop, they took off for the other side of the road where a horse trail was at, he looked back breifly to see if Salem was following, he didn't worry about looking ahead of him, Soot knew the way. He looked ahead as he grinned, he was thinking about how this was normal for them, his smile slipped when he remembered that she had changed since she left.

Night's smile widened slightly and he turned his eyes to her. "Of course I will." he said and looked at her curiously as she moved away slightly. Had he done something wrong? But looking into her eyes he knew. She was nervous. He knew that look anywhere. He then found his own mind realing with the fact that he had been so close to her. He wanted to reach out and pull her back to him. He turned his head to her and said softly,"Tenshi? Can you do something for me?"

"Sure." Tenshi replied almost automatically. She blinked and then sighed, "What do you want me to do?" She raised her eyes to meet his and offered him a small smile. Maybe coming back to this town wasn't such a bad idea if she could find herself again. That wouldn't be too bad.

Night leaned closer and looked into her eyes. "Hold still for I don't know thirty seconds..." he whispered and slowly reached up to her. He cupped the side of her head and pulled her towards him gently. He then tilted his head slightly and kissed her softly. He had to try. If he burned the bridge he burned it. But he would be proud to say that he had kissed the most perfect girl in the world. He closed his eyes enjoying the soft moment. ((nighty night))

Her mind blanked. She had been slightly confused when he asked her to hold still but when he pulled her towards him, well she wasn't slow. Her eyes fluttered closed and she felt his lips on hers. They were surprisingly soft and after a few tentative seconds she kissed him back, just as softly.

Outside of the room Tenshi's mother smiled at the two from the crack in the door. She decided it would be best to leave them be and slipped back down the stairs just as quietly as she had gone up them, finally, she would get her daughter back.

Salem watched Matt confused for a moment, was this really supposed to show her something or help him in any way? Her eyes narrowed as she thought, this is it, this is where he's going to kidnap me or whatever he plans on doing! Matt had ridden a good ways ahead, and rather than going with her thought, she nudged Angel Star similarly to how Matt nudged his horse. The horse didn't complain about it at all though, in fact she seemed quite happy and the direction so it didn't take long for Salem to catch up with Matt and get into a ridding rythm with him.

Mat looked over to Salem and smiled, the continued along the path as it weaved. As they drew closer to the spot he wantted to show her, they could here a waterfall. He hoped that this helpped her remember the frist time they met. When they came upon the pond and waterfall, Mat slowed down to a trot, he stopped Soot, getting off, he took the saddle off and bridal. He allowed Soot to walk around freely to eat and drink, not worried about him running off. "Do you remember this place?" he asked as he walked over to a tree that had his and Salem's intials carved in it. He looked at her and grinned sheepishly.

Once the two got to the pond, Salem followed suite with her horse, just letting her roam with Matt's. All the while her eyes never left the water. She knew this place, it was the one thing she could never forget. "We're in the woods behind my old house," she said quietly, almost to herself. She walked up to the water and sat down, her legs dangling in the cool substance as she used her fingers to draw little wavy lines that formed ripples in the surface.

"Yes it is......the place where we first met." Matt said as he watched her before he looked back at thier intials. he went over to her and layed down next to her. He stared up at the blue sky wondering if she remembered or not. he turnned his head until her could watch Soot and Angel Star. "You know this was our spot....." he said letting his voice trail off, he was getting sleepy, but he wantted her to remember so badly, he swore his heart was aching from it.

((Oooh ouch! My boyfriend came to the conclusion last night that I have ADD cause that's when I think the most and I can't fall asleep XP))

"What do you mean our spot?" Salem asked as she looked at Matt when he lay down beside her. She wasn't going to protest, she was oddly calm. She had so many dreams about this place, like lost memories. She stared into the water as she thought about them. She wouldn't talk about them though, she didn't know what he would think. She didn't know why she cared about that but it still seemed too personal to tell people. But out of all her dreams, she wasn't alone in this one. She was her, but she was always accompanied with a little boy. It never made any sense to her.

Night enjoyed the moment as Tenshi kissed him back. She was the most amazing person on earth to him and it made his heartbeat a million miles a minute as she kissed him back. He then pulled away gently having to break the amazing moment. His smile was softly and his eyes held emotion in them he usually hid from the world. Care and love. He was so sure now. She was the one. She had always been the one. And he would make sure she would remember. He then looked at her, he didn't have any explination for what he did, but he was happy he had kissed her.

"You see that white okay over there?" Mat said as he pointted towards the tree he was standing, he knew she would be pissed if this place didn't calm her down. He looked over at her with a easy smile on his face. "Why don't you go over there and take a look at it." Matt said as he put his hands behind his head, closing his eyes. He can see the words and letters with out looking at them, M.W.'s & S.W.'s Secret Place. He hoped it would jog her memory after all she was the one to carve the heart around it.
