A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Marketplace (Luck/Silenia)
((Aaaannd... action!))
Brak hated new towns. It took an inconvenient amount of time to get the lay of the town including the side streets and alleyways. And then there was figuring out all of the people. Who to be watchful for, who doesn't matter, and who was simply who. This town, whats-its-name, was a good size. Enough to have three classes within in strong enough numbers. The middle and merchant class was dominant in this town, so supposedly there was a very good marketplace. If he guessed correctly it was toward the east end of the town. This region had wind coming from the west. Nobody wanted to smell the marketplace in their homes. He walked briskly, keeping his rucksack as snug against his body as possible, half tucked under his elbow. He clutched the strap firmly. Screw it if it made him look like a tourist. Its what he was, after all. He must be getting close as he was seeing more people with groceries and other various wares heading away from where he was going. Brak nodded slightly to himself and kept apace. Almost there... Something barely a breeze brushed his arm that pinned the rucksack against his body and he snapped his arm outward. He grasped a delicate wrist in his hand with a vice grip. The small hand was clutching a locket on a chain. Brak furiously swung the young boy in front of him. "What do you think you are doing, you little pisser?" Brak hissed in the boy's face, now clutching both of the boy's arms and shaking slightly. ((Whee. You don't have to be the boy as a primary. Its just an NPC)) |
