In the beginning of time Earth was formed at the hands of Chaos. Our reigning god. Mother Earth soon was lonely so Chaos created for her the Sky so she would never be lonely again. From Mother Earth and Father Sky everything else was created. The Twins Pax and Discordia, or Peace and Discord. Then came the other six Gods. Lux, Tenebrae, Aqua, Ignis, Anima Vita and Mortalitus Nex.
They meant for Balance. This why everything was created in pairs. Mother Earth and Father Sky. Pax and Discordia. Lux and Tenebrae. Aqua and Ignis. Anima Vita and Mortalitus Nex. But everything fell out of balance a few years ago.
It was the start of the Dragon Wars. The Dragons are not all bad. But there are a few bad eggs as in every race. The Dragons teamed up with the Vampires and Weres. The Centaurs, Satyrs and Humans paired up. And the Fae as always floated around the edges of the conflict.
Eventually the Fae were shoved in the middle of the conflict. They are for all purposes the Middle Man in this great war.
I am writing this history for future generations so we may never forget. King Arthur will seal this in the Royal library.

Race Descriptions-
Dragon - In the World that Merlin describes not all Dragons are bad. This is true today as well but if a Dragon is thought to be a human sympathizer they will be killed. Dragons have an affinity for fire, they do not breathe it though. They are thought to be the sons and daughters of Ignis. They have an extreme aversion to water, Aqua's children. Most of them have a human glamour but they choose not to use it.
Vampire - Like Dragons not all Vampires are bad. And like Dragons any human sympathizers are killed. Vampires are the sons and daughters of Tenebrae. They will turn to ash in sunlight, they DO NOT sparkle. These creatures do not need a human glamour. The Ancients will have blood red eyes.
Were - Like Vampires and Dragons not all Weres are bad. Unlike Vampires and Dragons human sympathizers are not killed but evicted from their pack which is a fate worse than death. All Weres are forced to change under the light of the moon. All Weres are Wolves. Weres are the sons and Daughters of Discordia. They have an extreme aversion to the sons and daughters of Pax. Silver will kill them.
Satyr (Faun) - Satyrs are a peaceful race. Some of them have been placed under the spells of Dragons these are few and far between and completely different from their peaceful origins. These are the sons and Daughters of Pax. They have an aversion to the sons and daughters of Discordia. These usually have a human glamour and use it often. Satyrs are slow and bumbling you can kill them by normal means if you can find them.
Centaur - The Centaurs are cousins of the Satyrs but not nearly as peaceful. They are the sons and daughters of Lux. They have an extreme aversion to the sons and daughters of Tenebrae. They are easily killed by an arrow to the leg.
Human - Humans are the sons and daughters of Animus Vita
and Mortilus Nex. They are not nearly as durable as any other races because of this. They can be easily killed by almost anything. Because of this the Vampires, Dragons and Weres want to enslave them.
Fae - These are the races that fit in no other category. Fairies, Dires, Seers, Nymphs and mermaids. These are the sons and daughters of Aqua. They have an extreme aversion to the sons and daughters of Ignis. The Fae can be killed by fire. This elusive race never gets into a conflict though. They are content to simply be the Middle Men as always.
