"A symbol of your mother's people," Cain repeated, his duel-toned voice echoing slightly. Lyna took the necklace back, and the Fae seemed to shudder. "I see." Magic users. Seeming uncomfortable for a mere moment, the broad-shouldered male turned his attention elsewhere.
As soon as everyone had packed up and was ready to go, Cain spoke to everyone about the way through the woods. Instead of going around, which would take nearly a week of traveling, they could get to the city within a few days. The Fae wasn't very adamant with his speech, instead talking slowly and calmly, as though trying to make someone understand something hard to grasp. If looked at in the wrong way, it could seem offensive. But that's not quite how he meant it to be - he was just keeping his emotion under wraps. He was honestly eager to head into the town, for he hadn't been around a large group of people in years.
Finally stepping in the direction of the forests, the tall Fae grasped Lyna's hand, gently pulling her along with him. He seemed to be taking quite the liking to her all of a sudden. . . .

With a smile, Vin'dehl shouldered one of the many sleeping mats. Staying somewhat close to Sapphira, the elf kept an eye on Cain and Lyna . . . but wasn't as wary as he was earlier. Instead, he was merely . . . content. Even though they were all in the middle of the wilderness, gathered together due to some sort of danger, they were, well, together. They wouldn't have been if there wasn't trouble in the first place.
"Don't fall behind," he called out to Inno and Gabriel in a fond tone, winking at his sister.

Inno smiled at Vin'dehl, and then took up one of the remaining mats. Slinging the strap over her shoulder, the tall woman scoffed. "I wouldn't be the one talking if I were you, slowpoke." The siblings shared a bout of quite laughter before Vin'dehl and Sapphira began to follow the first couple.
Purple eyes meeting Gabriel's, Inno bumped him with her arm as she headed after the others. They would be in the city within a few days at most.

Dante slowed his movements momentarily, raising an eyebrow in Miranda's direction. " . . . it did," he said quietly, and the dragon stretched a bit before stepping over to the vampire. Sitting down beside her, he let his red eyes slowly move toward the cavern's entrance. Lazily leaning back, he lounged there in silence before speaking again.
"My wounds have all but healed," he stated, taking a deep breath and slowly letting it out. Thanks to you. "And it felt good to taste the fresh water."

-Gabriel smiled and hurrying joined up with Inno Carrying what he could and smiled at being with her. Nothing made him happier and he let her know it as he kissed her hands while they walked together-"You have my heart in your beautiful hands. This why I can't help but kiss them." -He whispered to her-

Miranda hesitates and lets out a small moan, she looks outside the cave to notice the sun was very high in the sky."yeah they shouldn't be to hard to find tonite but if they have moved how will we know were they are? I hope you do have a plan to set them up. maybe they went for a city"Miranda was deep in thought and didn't realize Dante was observing her. She was trying to thinkhow do we trick them?. Miranda turned her dark red eyes to Dante and wondered if he was thinking of her or a plan. Miranda wondered if thats what he was thinking which was really unhelpful.

Sapphira stopped with the group. She sipped her water, not wanting to drink a lot too soon. She stayed quietly nearby Vin'dehl, but listening to the forest's muted noises. ....how softly disturbed creatures walk....

"I have no doubt they went for the nearest city," the dragon said with a small smile. Watching as she lay down, Dante slowly shook his head. "I am not tired." Forcing his gaze to return to the ceiling, the male let out a quiet breath. "I have slept enough."
Closing his eyes for a moment, he fell silent. Reaching a hand toward her forehead, he let it rest over her eyes gently. "Rest, Miranda." I'm here.

Vind'ehl chuckled as Inno tripped over her own feet, practically falling over. She would have, had Gabriel not been there to keep her from falling. The elf then turned his gaze to Sapphira, and instantly grew lost in thought. No doubt, about her.

Inno had been blushing furiously at Gabriel's words, and wasn't quite watching where she was going . . . and bam! Tripped over her own feet. Catching herself on the knight's arm, the elf laughed in embarrassment, ducking her head. Blonde hair flit over her sharp features, and the tall woman couldn't help but burst into whole-hearted laughter.
"How clumsy of me," she said through tears of merriment, wiping them away with her slender fingers. "I get all mushy after you speak, and I trip. Grace never was my middle name."

((I don't know if you missed it or not . . . but my post for Cain was on the last page. :XD I'm going to have him get everyone moving again . . . the sooner we get to the next town, the better. After all, we don't want Dante and Miranda catching us before we get there! :())

-Gabriel tried to catch her in his arms but she grabbed on to his arm and he he helped her up best he could laughing also- "I see I guess I should save that stuff for when we're both seated." -He winked and hoisted her to her feet laughing still staying on foot best he could. He couldn't help but tall more in love with her when this happened. Inno's scent was pretty intoxicating alone but coupled with her in his arms was almost more than he could bare. Quickly he got hold of himself still leaning against her as they stood in place for a moment-

“I understand……” Lyna whispered to him as she stood up, she ran a hand through her hair before she held her hand out to him. “I have rested long enough.” she said to him with a smile on her face she still had a blush on it and hoped that he didn’t notice it, she waited for him to take her hand.

Sapphira over heard Lyna saying she was fine now. She turned to Vin'dehl and smiled. She was just thinking about how she was spending this trip with him, for as long as she wanted, before she had to go back. ...or....he could come back with me...

Vin'dehl smiled, and stood, offering a hand to help Sapphira up. "Time to go," he said softly, his gray eyes meeting hers for a few long moments.

Cain smiled, pretending not to see her blush - though he could. Taking her hand in his cool one, the Fae stood, drawing Lyna with him. "Then we can be moving on," the tall male said, giving her hand a squeeze as he looked in the right direction. Their sight slowly drifted away, and Cain knew that the darkness was of little comfort - but he didn't want to be using his voice the entire time. It wasn't necessary if he knew where they were going.
Motioning to the others, he signaled that they were going to get moving once again, and headed off down the invisible path that only he seemed to see.

Inno grinned, hugging Gabriel close to her before trotting forward to catch up with Vin'dehl, dragging the knight with her despite their heavy loads of bedrolls and packs. "What's your favorite season?" she asked randomly, tilting her head in a bird-like motion as they slowed their pace. Lingering a few feet behind Sapphira and her brother, Inno kept Gabriel beside her.

((And we're going to get to the town real fast here. So . . . the next time I post, it will be night time. :lol: If there are no objections, anyway. :XD))

Sapphira let Vin'dehl help her up and held his look until she felt her cheeks warm and she walked with him. Holding his hand so she could stay near him, she walked knowing Inno and Gabriel were behind them, while Lyna and Cain were ahead. She heard Inno's question. "It is a tie between Winter and Spring. I love the flowers, but I also love the thought of such unique flakes of ice fall, just because He lets such beauty occur. The feeling of power that I receive from the sheer amount of water nearby is awe-inspiring.." She was swinging her hand with Vin's and she rambled.

Lyna smiled when Cain took her hand, it felt so nice and natural for her to hold his, she squeezed hand back when he squeezed hers, following him. Then she couldn’t see anything and she froze in place, it was like she hit a really big, tall, thick, solid black wall that she was drowning in and nothing could save her. Some how she wasn’t holding Cain’s hand anymore and she was just completely and utterly lost in the darkness with no one there with her, she started to hyperventilate.

For once since she lost her eyesight, she didn’t see the light that was there with the darkness, she didn’t see both as if she were standing between them and watching them fight. She just say the complete Darkness, it swallowed her, scaring her to the point she couldn’t remember where she was, who was with, her past or even her name. She was completely lost, frighten, swallowed up by there very thing her mother had tried to keep her from and now she was facing it and it was devouring her very soul the longer she stood there and did nothing.

Miranda rolls over and looks at Dante"Yeah your right they probably had to get supplys or stop to find a place to rest at an Inn"Miranda lets out a small smile."Are you sure your not tired?"she rolled onto her back and let out a small sigh"I...have to"her eyes started to feel heavy and her stomach let out a grumble. Dantes touch to Mirandas face was soothing and she clung to Dante"please don't leave me alone"she says and then falls into a deep sleep.

Cain felt the shift in Lyna's demeanor just as she froze. Glancing back to her, he stopped, frowning. When she began to breathe quickly, the Fae reached forward and took both sides of her face in his hands, saying her name quietly. His echoing voice filled with worry the next time he called to her, and his white eyes flickered over to the others. What's happening?
"Lyna," he said for a third time, stroking her cheeks softly. "Come back to us. We're here for you."

Dante let out a gentle thrum of compliance - he would stay. "I won't," he said quietly, his red slowly opening as he regarded the sleeping vampire. The dragon sighed inwardly, scooting over to share a bit of his heat with Miranda - though he wasn't sure if she felt it. Taking his hand away from her eyes, the male let his eyes remain on her features as she slept. It wasn't long before they would move out. He would stay with her until nightfall.

There it was, something horrible coming out the darkness to get her, what ever or whom ever it was, was not some one Lyna knew. Some one or something said her name, the thing, person reached out and began to touch her face, saying her name almost tauntingly, she was frozen in place until she heard it say her name for a third time. She snapped out of the frozen state that she was in, stepping out of the things reach, backing up slowly as she felt behind her for something, anything to ground her self to. Her eyes were still wide with fear, her breathing remain rabid, and all she could do was hope that she could escape it and find her ways back to her friends.

The Fae reached out to catch her as she backed away, but didn't, merely letting the woman slip away from him as she reached for anything behind her. "I don't know what's wrong, but I don't mean you any harm." His white eyes narrowed, and he nearly shuddered - dark energy was surrounding this girl. Cain stepped toward her again, offering a hand. "Come on."
The broad-shouldered male felt his instincts rise - he wanted to hurt her. But not in a way that others would see. His sound frequencies, his Fae gifts, could harm the girl . . . but then he thought about Lyna, knowing that he didnt' really want to hurt her. Stepping forward, the silver-haired man tilted his head, reaching for her again. "Come," he said a bit roughly, his duel-toned whispering voice becoming more of a hiss. The darkness he felt was making him like this - feral.

Lyna had backed up into a tree at this point, she was trapped between the tree, which she saw as a wall, Cain, who appears to her as a monster. Everything he said to her, came out completely different in her head, like when he said ‘I don’t mean you any harm.’ She heard ‘I am your harm,’ she just broke down crying and slid down the tree, not able to stand up anymore, not able to be whole. “Please…don‘t kill me.” She whispered to him as she pressed her self to the tree as much as she could, she was trapped and there was nothing she could do about it, her hand reached up and clutched at the moon pendent around her neck as she silently prayed to the goddess to help her.

-Gabriel did his best to keep up with Inno-"Fall and Spring, Death and Resurrection" -He smiled watching the others and looking to Inno, he could tell she was trying to keep him off guard because there was something she wasn't telling him. That or there was something she feared about his level of feelings toward her. Gabriel played along though to entertain her. She completed him, so he didn't mind playing her games.-

"Spring," Inno smiled, nodding. "The trees were always in full bloom back home." A slight shadow of sorrow passed over her sharply featured face, but the elf merely shook her head. Giving Gabriel's hand a squeeze, the tall woman bumped her hip against his as they walked. "Another thing we have in common."

Vin'dehl listened to Sapphira speak, a smile on his face as she swung their hands. He'd personally enjoyed winter, when snow and frost gave everything a new appearance - it reminded him of the cold reality of his past. The past that he didn't remember. His gray eyes moved to Lyna and Cain for a moment, and he frowned worriedly. It seemed that something was wrong . . . very wrong. Lyna wouldn't let the Fae get close to her, and the male was looking a bit perturbed.
Clearing his throat to interrupt their conversation, the blond male nodded toward the other couple. "Something's wrong," he said quietly, his hand immediately straying to his blade. If the Fae was doing something to mess with her mind, then he would die. It was then that Cain began to drop a bit of his appearance, becoming something far more threatening. Vin'dehl stopped walking and froze, blade in his hand faster than the eye could follow. Touch her and you'll feel my blade in your back.

Seeing Lyna start to cry, continuing to back away until she collapsed against the tree, Cain could barely contain the growl that rose up in his throat. Her aura of darkness was making him . . . well, react as a feral being. His instinct was to get rid of it. But how to do that without harming Lyna herself?
"I won't kill you," Cain hissed, his duel tones beginning to sound even darker as his frustration built. "I'm your friend." White eyes narrowed, the Fae knelt, his hand still offered in Lyna's direction. "Silly girl," he muttered, baring his fangs - which no one had really noticed he'd had until then. In fact . . . his glamor was slipping slightly. He didn't have much of it on, considering he didn't care what others thought of him. But he wasn't quite as . . . human as they all saw him to be. Instead, he had claws, fangs . . . even a set of thick horns that rested along either side of his head. Long pointed ears and many, many more flourished markings covered his form - just about everywhere.
Hissing quietly, Cain shook his head. "Lyna, snap out of it." The darkness not only suffocated the girl, but it called to the Fae. He wanted that aura - he wanted to consume it. Shuddering with the effort of keeping himself from attacking, Cain drew his hand back, clenching it into a fist.

-Gabriel smiled softly as she squeezed his hand and bumped his hip and agreed-"I agree with you about blooming flowers and life." -He was glad they were getting close to town. Maybe it would provide them a respite of safety, Perhaps there was a Monastery, Nunnery, or even a church for pilgrims there there.-
