A strange expression flit over the male's face, and he blinked it away, turning his gaze to the tabletop. The two of them avoided meeting one another's gaze, and Cain finally cleared his throat, his words whisper soft as he spoke to her. "Do you know anything about your family? About that symbol?"
He traced the design on the table, his silver eyes looking blankly through it. His sight flickered away as he pushed his glamor forward, not allowing his concentration to fixate on merely seeing the world around him. Cain frowned, smearing the symbol he was drawing with a bit of water that had been spilled on the finished surface. "Are you willing to tell me what you know?"

"All i know is that it is the symbol of my mother's people.....and that i got a gift from her." Lyna said as she turnned her face back towards him, smiling some more like nothing was out of place for other people. The waitress came back and set thier food down along with thier drinks, she thanked the woman before she picked a fork up and began to eat a little bit of the food, not worried about it being poisoned at the moment, consedering the fact that she had suffered far worse a couple of days before and she believed she could handle it at that moment. A few more minutes passed before she fingered the pendent, taking a sip of her drink before she went back to eatting.

Cain was silent while the waitress set the food before them, and slowly began to eat his own plate. He was obviously contemplating his words; biding his time for a few moments. Thinking over her pendant, the design of the five-pointed star and the crescent moon, the tall Fae couldn't help but shudder. "Perhaps we should speak of this in a more secluded area later on," he whispered, eyes moving to her face. "I don't want to worry the people here with my vehemence." Which I wouldn't be able to hide.
Focusing on his food once again, the now dark-haired youth (it's hard to imagine a dark-haired Sephiroth!) finished his food at a steady pace. "I have a history linked to such symbols, Lyna. Please don't feel as though any of it is your fault."

"I...okay. I just want to know some more about them...." Lyna said to him as she smiled and ate some more of her food, drinking some of her drink before she started to play with her pendent. "Is it that bad?" she asked him as she played with a a peice of fruit that had fallen off of her pancakes. Her white eyes looked at him as she bit her lip slightly before she tucked her stray strand of hair behind her ear as looked at her food.

The Fae merely continued eating, focusing on his plate. "Yes." His simplistic answer was riddled with emotion, but he said nothing further. He would wait until they were alone and able to speak. Cain's gaze trailed over Lyna as he hummed slightly to allow a bit of sight to come between the two of them. Her features struck him as beautiful, even though she couldn't compare to the otherworldly beauty of his own kind. If anything, he was drawn to this girl more than anyone else - and he'd seen quite a few people in his time.
Finishing with his food quickly, the Fae told their waitress which rooms they were staying in, thus they could pay later on when they were finished with their stay. Glancing toward Lyna, his white eyes lingered on her pretty features as he waited for her to finish.

Lyna smiled at him before she finished her food, leaving the strawberries since she didn't like them, she then finished her drink, playing with a strand of her as she felt a little unease at the moment. She looked him over, smiling at every little detail that she saw, her eyes lingering on the tattoos that he had, finding them very interesting. She got up and walked over to his chair, hesitating before she started to trace the design, finding them far more fascinating then. She found this unique man very handsome, but he was of course, regardless of what she thought, after all he was fae and was an unreal beauty that was unique to the world of humans.

((I almost wrote Sephiroth instead of Cain.))
His white eyes followed the woman as she stood, moving closer to him. At first, he frowned a bit, wondering what she was doing. It was then that he began watching Lyna's hand, silently feeling her fingers trace over the markings over his shoulder, neck, and coming to a taper up near his jaw. Though at that moment, she couldn't see them, the blue design started over his heart. The Fae almost dropped his glamor the second she touched him, and the visage of a dark-haired human flickered slightly, almost like static.
"Perhaps it is time to go to another room," he whispered, lifting his hand to Lyna's wrist. Meeting her gaze momentarily, the Fae felt his breath catch. Now would be a good time.

Lyna's breath caught in her throat when Cain grabbed her wrist, her breathing became shallow as she seemed to start to hypervinalate. "If.....okay....maybe we should since we can't exactly talk about things around here." she said to him in a slightly breathless voice, still trying hard to get control over her breathing, she bite her lip as she turnned her hand enough to hold his, pulling thier hands down from his jaw. Her hair slipped from being tucked behind her ear, making a curtain around her face and thier hands. She was speechless as her white eyes met his white eyes, it was hard on her to look at him when he was so.....wow was the only word that came to her mind.

"Right," Cain breathed, blinking slowly. Is this normal? The Fae slowly stood, trying to break his gaze away from Lyna's. He only succeeded when he bumped into someone, which forced him to look back and mumble an apology. Dang, was it hard to keep his glamor up when she looked at him like that. Keeping his hand in hers, the tall male swallowed audibly, turning his white eyes to the stairway that led to their hall. They were soon upstairs, though Cain's mind was still dwelling on how her own breath had caught when he touched her wrist, how her own heartbeat had sped up when they locked gazes. Does that always happen?
Idly reaching up to touch the blue flourish on his skin, Cain frowned a bit, looking back to Lyna for the millionth time.

Lyna felt very self concious every time that Cain looked at her, almost like he was reading her mind, which caused her to blush because she was thinking of what they could be or would be."umm....which room should we go into?" she whispered to him as she had her eyes directed towrds the rooms, not sure which one would be safe to talk in, after all she didn't want everyone to know about her or her mother. She was very aware of the fea that was walking next to her, she snuck glances at him through her hair, her heart was still pounding in her chest as if it was trying to break loss, even her breathe caught once in a while when thier eyes met.

Not meaning to be strange, Cain pointed out a room with its door slightly ajar. "This has been empty ever since we came," he whispered, stepping forward to push it open slowly. Seeing as no one was inside, and it wasn't far from either of their real rooms, the Fae led Lyna inside, closing the door quietly behind them. As soon as they were alone, Cain reached up and placed his hands on either side of her face, leaning down until he was a few centimeters from her face. "It's going to be very difficult to talk," he said quietly, his echoing voice leaving a startling bit of sight around them.
Pressing a soft kiss to Lyna's lips, the tall male backed away, slipping his hand into hers and leading her to the bed. Upon ensuring that she was sitting down, he sat on the floor, leaning back against the blankets. Letting his glamor all but collapse, the Fae looked up at the girl with a slight smile. "Where should we start?"

"At the beginning i guess." Lyna said to him in a breathless voice, she sat on the bed while she tried to think and listened to what he had to say, after a few minutes she slipped onto the floor next to him and leaned her head onto his shoulder. The kiss that he gave her was still on her mind until he started to talk about the pendent and his past with such symbols, this caused her to lift her head up and listen to what he had to say instead of what she was feeling.

-Gabriel got down on his knees and spoke softly his prayers to the Lord for not to wake Vin' from his sound sleep. When he'd finished he got up and walked out of the room to knock on the door next to theirs softly and call for Esmme hoping she hears his calls if she's awake. "Esmme, it's Gabriel, are you up my love?"

((*laugh* Inno, deary. Inno. Not Esmme, though I'm honored. ;)))
Inno stood, moving toward the door. By the time that Gabriel had knocked, she was dressed and ready for the day. "Hey," the tall woman grinned, leaning over to kiss the man's forehead. "I slept well. What about you?" The blonde elf snagged his hand, pulling him toward the heavenly smell of food in the dining area.
-
The Fae paused for a moment, collecting his thoughts about their conversation. "The beginning," he repeated, his voice back to its usual volume. It was still low, but his double voice was more obvious. "That symbol belongs to your mother's people, just as you said. Do you know anything about them, Lyna?" Cain frowned, his white eyes moving about the empty room's furniture.

"No i don't really know anything about them.....my mom died before i was old enough to be told about them." Lyna said to him as she fingered it, she had always felt protected with it on and rarely took it off, she glanced at Cain for a brief moment before she leaned her head back and looked towards the ceiling. After a few minutes she closed her eyes, not wantting to see at the moment, she continued to play with the pendent, trying hard not to feel anything at that moment.

It was then that Cain's smooth voice started on his story. "Perhaps I will tell you of what I know of them." Using his voice to paint a scene, literally showing her what happened, the male closed his own eyes.
15 years prior-
It had been a peaceful night. The moon was full, the stars bright, and the forest calm. Cain, looking much the same as he now, was watchful for signs of life in his homeland. Most of his kin enjoyed the sun, and stayed asleep during the night. The Fae looked up to the moon, lost in its beauty for a few moments.
By the time he'd looked back, there were bits of light - torches, perhaps. Curious, the tall man headed toward them, disregarding the warnings of his own people. No one else was there to see what he saw. Humans. They were human - but something about them was different.
After following them for many miles through the night, Cain finally revealed himself to them, pondering what they were doing at such a late hour. His response was varied. Some voices cried out in awe, others in rage, and a select few in disgust. In the confusion that followed, he was swiftly convinced that they thought he was some sort of higher being - a god in human form.
Being no such thing, Cain tried to tell them as much, to which the group came to the conclusion that he had to be a demon. It wasn't long before their friendly faces became those of enemies. Cain was bound with silver, which they knew to be a purifying metal, and forced into a clearing to face the moon. As some of the humans began to chant to the moon itself, Cain was startled to find that they were "returning his rebel spirit to the moon's hands." The medallion that hung from their throats was the same - a crescent moon with a five pointed star - wiccan. As a sacrificial dagger was raised above his chest, Cain shook his head, trying to further convince them that he wasn't evil.
Cain shook his head. "They were mislead." The Fae frowned. "They prayed to the moon." His head tilted slightly, and he sighed. "Why would anyone pray to something that doesn't have life?"

"Oh....i am sorry that they had done that to you.....my father told me that after my mom had me. She just went crazy, mumbling something about me being a curse.....then she died, a few years later my dad died also." Lyna said to him as she continued to play with the pendent, thinking over everything that he had "told" her about her mother's people, she sighed slightly before she took it off. Playing with it even more, she looked over at Cain, a sad look on her face as she thought about what they had done to her. "Doesn't everything have life?" she whispered before she placed the neckalace back around her neck, not feeling quit as fond of it as she did before Cain's story.

"Not everything," Cain whispered, his white gaze locked on the ground. "The moon is a source of life, just like the sun." He frowned, looking up to the ceiling. "Why worship something that holds no power to do anything but shed light and change tides?" A swirl of sparkling dust shifted in the middle of the floor not far from them, and the Fae manipulated it to form the moon itself. "Few things are actually given life. We are lucky enough to share that."
His pale hand flickered through the mist, scattering it. Slowly taking her hand in his, the youth swallowed. "I myself choose to follow a power greater than the moon or sun." Cain fell silent then, watching in silence as the shifted through various forms, finally settling on a small cross. After it faded away, the Fae looked as though he was going to stay quiet, merely watching the swirling sparkles in absent thoughtfulness.

"I always felt as though everybody whorshiped the same person but in a different form." Lyna said to him in a voice that sounded a little broken, like there was something missing from it, she squeezed his hand slightly as she watched him play with the sparkling dust, making it into many different shapes before it went to the one that he worshiped. After a few minutes she pulled her hand out of his, walking oveer to the window to look out of it, lost in her mind for a bit, not quit sure what to say to Cain as she thought about what he said. "Thank you, for telling me." she whispered to him, unable to bring her broken voice higher then a whisper at that moment.

"I wouldn't worship someone with so many different aliases," Cain said, shaking his head. "I think that some of them are more right than others, but they can't all lead to the same God if they are so drastically different." Hearing her broken voice, the Fae felt a soft expression flit over him, and he stood, moving to her side. Wrapping his arms about her middle, Cain kissed her ear. "I'm sorry if I upset you." I always seem to.

Lyna said to him as she tried to sound like her old self, turnning around so that she was facing him instead of away, she smiled up at him as she lightly touched his face. She then hugged the man, aware of the pendent that was being smushed between them, it seemed like it was a wall that was keeping them from being together. She kissed him on the cheek before she turnned around and looked back out the window, not sure how things were going to turn out for them, after all her people have tried to kill him and her own mother believed that Lyna was a curse, appearently a curse that Cain had put on her.

If only what you say was true. He knew she wasn't happy, but the Fae could do nothing about that. Instead of speaking, he merely reveled in the feel of her kissing his cheek, watching as she turned back to the window. Cain moved to stand beside her, arm brushing against hers as they looked out at the late morning streets. The world seemed so busy - just the thought made the usually solitary Fae cringe.
Thinking over their conversation, the tall male merely blinked away any emotion from his features, running his hand over the ends of Lyna's hair before wrapping an arm around her.

"A person can't change their heritage," Cain whispered, stroking Lyna's head gently, "but they can choose their future. I don't blame you for being part of a bloodline that troubles my own. You didn't choose it for yourself." The Fae shifted so he was behind the woman, pulling her back against him and kissing the top of her head. "Sometimes our lives aren't ours to control."
His white eyes flickered with emotion for a moment, and then Cain sighed. He took a deep breath, breathing in Lyna's scent. It still made him feel . . . strange. Happy - intoxicated. With the slightest of smiles, the tall youth shifted his arms around her, using one cool finger to trace over her arm.
