Cain's first reaction was to stiffen, his hand falling still for a few moments. When the light touched him, the Fae flinched, but said nothing. His first words were tense, strained. "I have never been a friend of magic," he whispered, a slight frown on his face. "Long has it troubled my own kin." His cold hand moved up to touch hers, and the tall youth froze. "Spells have a . . . strange . . . effect on me." His duel-toned voice sounded rougher, and with a brisk movement, the Fae released Lyna. "They always have." He seemed more of a predator in that moment, and he forced his gaze away from the girl.

The silver haired girl felt as if she was choking on something, she callapsed both hands over the pendent, blowing into her hands before all trace of the magic she had done was gone. She felt as if she was doing something wrong once more after the silvered haired male had released her, she leaned against the wall and slowly began to slid down it before she looked like rag doll tht a child had just left next to the wall. "Sorry i won't do it again." Lyna said to him in a blnk voice, like she had cut herself off from the emotions that she was feeling, it was hard of her to think about not using the gift she was born with, a brief thought about telling him that magic saved her from being a vampire ran though her head before it went away.

Cain's white eyes were dark, and he bit back the beast-like form that was beginning to show through. You aren't the only one who's been cursed. The claws and fangs that had suddenly appeared were forced back, and the dark features that the Fae seemed to acquire were slowly fading. His haunted voice slowly became normal again, his form resuming its normal appearance.
"I'm sorry," he breathed, his voice still slightly husky and full of regret. I couldn't control it. Cain grit his teeth, turning away from the girl for a few moments as he composed himself once again. "I didn't mean to." Gaze returning to Lyna, he stepped toward her, lingering for a few moments before kneeling before her.
Hesitating, he didn't know what to say. Lowering his gaze, the Fae sighed. "I'm sorry."

Alana was in her room going around the room just back and forth making sure her two books were hidden properly last time they were found she almost was thrown into the sun for them. She looked back to the door once she heard a knock she was rather hungry "come in." She said in her lightest voice she was almost laughing because she knew that once somebody walked into the room they would be blind her spell so she could walk around and not get burnt "um i thought you might be hungry so i brought you something to eat." a young womans voice said "oh how kind of you most people forget about me." the young woman steped in and instantly Alana slamed the door shut and grabed the woman by the hand "im so sorry i dont like the light here let me guide you to the table so you can put that down." Helping the young girl to the bed she let her place it on the table and then spoke softly "you know something most people i want to forget about me and your no different but dont worry this wont hurt unless you scream." "huh?" And with that Alana grabed the womans head and tilted it back and bit down you could hear her scream then the girls body drop. Alana didnt think the girl would scream but then again the young girls always did so she quickly tried to bar the door then went over to the girl and went to work eraseing her memory.

"Why are you sorry?" Lyna asked him as she looked up at him, some life comming back into her, but not enough to make her seem like she was back to normal. "I won't do make anymore...i don't want you to hate me like my mother's people." she said to him as she hugged him slightly, trying to make everything better but not doing a very good job of it at the moment. She kissed him on the cheek as she hug him even more, trying hard to make things better between the two of them.

((Hmm. I ponder having someone run into you, "Alana." Is she in the inn, or her own home somewhere . . .? I have a bad guy dragon (Dante) who needs some contact. :lol:))

Wrapping his arms about Lyna, the Fae sighed into her hair. He couldn't help but wonder what the future held for the two of them. Cain moved to sit beside her, twirling a bit of her hair about his fingers. "What should we do from here?" he asked, and then listened as a few of the others stirred in the next room. "We still have supplies to gather, don't we?"

((she is in the inn sorry i forgot to mention that and im going to post something i just have to go check on my mother))

Alana slowly got up after finishing her work on the young girl she looked over to her handywork on the door "now that wouldnt hold up against anyone now would it." She quickly picked up the table that they had in the room it was no problem with her strength and placed it infront of the door so that nobody could just barge in they would have to slam into the door to open it "well that might work for awhilie."

((that sounds like a good idea lol))

"Yes we still have to collect things for our journey." Lyna said to him as she smiled and stood up, pulling him up on his feet as she hugged him once more, kissing him on the lips before she looked out the window. "We can try and get along....and i won't do magic anymore so that problem will be solved." she said to him as she smiled at him, trying to be more full of life then dead like she was before or is now.

((I'll have Dante, my dragon, come visit you then. :lol:))

At first he thought the scent belonged to Miranda. But upon breathing it in once again, Dante found that it was another vampire. The tall man stepped into the inn, surprised to find that he had found where the group was staying. The smell of the elves, dragon . . . they were all here.
Moving through the humans, Dante breathed in the air once again. The vampire's scent led to one room - which he approached slowly. Knocking, his red eyes scanned through the empty hallway, wondering if he could find an ally in this creature.

Getting to his feet, Cain smiled half-heartedly at Lyna before linking his fingers with hers, pulling her toward the door. "Let's get started ahead of the others. I don't want to be caught without being ready."

Alana heard a knock on the door "their probably looking for the girl i better hide her until she awakes." She tossed the girl unto the bed and covered her in the sheets completely forgeting normal humans and most other creatures couldnt see in here "yes yes im comming hold on one second." She said to the knocking person and with that moved the table and opened the door "yes may i help you?"

((^_^ 's fine by me. :lol: I disappear randomly, so you might have to get used to that. :oops:))

Dante blinked, looking over the woman with a critical eye. "I am not here to search for your little snack," he hissed, and pushed his way into the room. Closing the door behind him, the tall male inclined his head, letting his red glowing eyes catch the woman's gaze. "And I am not here out of threat."
With a low growl, his form shifted, revealing the dark crimson scales of his true form - a dragon. Fangs, claws, wings - Dante hissed loudly, forcing himself back into human form. "I am hunting a group of travelers here in this building, and I could use an ally." His gloved hand moved to the door, and he set the lock with a quiet click. "A pretty creature like you should know the use of a red dragon."

Alana looked at him and then laughed "well i already like you i dont know what it is but their is something mabye its because we have close to the same goal kill a group of people... mine is the group of vampires that turned me yours is this group in here but whatever the group i like it gives me a challenge." Finding that she was stuck in this room she sat on the bed and looked up at him "so looks like you got yourself a partner but i cant leave this room until night so now what."

"That sounds like a good idea. At least then if anything happens we will have what we need." Lyna said to him as she squeezed his hand, pulling him out the room as she started to walk down the hallway with him. "Hopefully no one will suspect us." she said as they started to walk down the stairs, making their way out of the inn.

The dragon smiled, glancing toward the lump of blankets on the bed. "Now?" He moved to stand near the window, glancing down at the street eagerly. "Now we wait for nightfall." After a short pause, the dark-haired male turned his gaze back to the vampire. "I am Dante. What should I call you?"

Cain lifted his glamor once again, forcing himself to look human. Leading Lyna onward, they headed through various stores and other places, searching for supplies to travel. Canteens, bags, food, rations, bandages - whatever else they might need and more. The Fae seemed to have a good supply of money, borrowed from Vin'dehl for the day.

"You may call me Alana." Going over to her bed she poked the lump and noticed that it moved so she coughed and said "oh my your waking up that was a nasty fall you took are you ever alright you know you can stay here and rest if you need to alittle longer." The young girl undid the covers and yawned "oh i fell i seem to remember bringing you food but nothing else." Alana looked at the man "oh if it ever wasnt for this young man right here to help pick you up and bring you to my bed you would still be on that floor." The girl tried to focus her eyes but couldnt see though the darkness of the room but she still smilied "thank you sir thank you ever so much and thank you for letting me lay in your bed but i got to get going." Getting up Alana helped the girl over to the door and they said their goodbyes one last time then Alana closed the door "i think she liked you, you could go follow her mabye the handsome gentleman that saved her might get a kiss." Alana laughed then sat on her bed.

Dante let out a small growl upon hearing Alana's words. "Humans don't interest me," he said, still looking out the window. He'd heard everything, even looked over his shoulder to nod when he was thanked for something he didn't do. "They are weak, temporary beings that die more often than the birds of the forest." His red eyes narrowed, and he sighed before leaning against the window's frame.
"How long have you been searching for the other vampires?" the dragon asked, allowing his gaze to meander from the outside world back to Alana. Dante watched her intently for a few moments, observing her demeanor and actions. Interesting that every ally I make ends up being part of the undead ranks. He mentally scoffed, but merely blinked and kept his gaze on the woman.

Alana thought about that for a moment then laughed "I lost count of days after a year i caught them once before and killed one of them i just have two more to find since they split up but that shouldnt be to hard i do have magic on my side." She raised her hands and two books came flying towards her and stoped infront of her "You see im not just a normal vampire im also a witch." She opened both books and started reading silently "hey why are you wanting this group if you dont mind me asking Im chaising mine because they took my life what about you did they take something of yours?"

Dante's crimson eyes flashed with something akin to anger, and he growled. Unwilling to say that he'd previously been beaten by the oddball group, the dragon merely bore his fangs. "They evoke the anger of a red dragon, and walk away as though it means nothing." Honor and challenge were usually the focus of his kin - though he'd strayed from them long ago, his words weren't quite a lie. "I want their blood for my own reasons." I will sully the floor with their lives. Tear them limb from limb. Hissing, he moved away from the window to sit in the only chair in the room.

Alana laughed she knew what that ment she hated enough people to know that he was mad because they beat him, he screamed that and she knew it "So whats your plan or just fight them because i wouldnt think a dragon as powerfull as yourself would need anyones help to beat a few weaklings they must be strong or am i wrong." She said the words almost mocking but knew that he could if he wanted rip her apart and well she wanted to kill her enemys before she died...well died again.

"I need the element of surprise," Dante snarled, turning his gaze away from her. Annoyance flit over his features, and crimson scales shimmered into being, bordering his features. "They know my scent, and they would recognize me from afar." The dragon's hand lifted, and he inspected his claws for a few long moments. "But if you don't learn to keep your tongue from offense, I will tear it out for you."

"Alright alright sorry i was just poking fun i know you could tear me in half try to have a sence of humor and they have your scent but what about if we mask your scent with magic have you tried that yet i think their is a spell here that could do just that in one of the books if not i could go back to that old man he had some old magic books im sure we could look through his." Alana flipped through the pages one after the other faster with each page turn "no no no i dont see it yet but i remember one if you want i could try to do it by memory only i think the things we needed were just you and the scent you wanted to mask it with so mabye a human damn and that girl just left."

Listening to the vampire's rapid-fire sentences, Dante merely turned his attention to the door. "If you're going to mask my scent, don't do it with a woman." The dragon yawned quietly, blinking his eyes sluggishly. "I'll bring someone back." With that, he stood, moving to the door. "Don't run off without me."

Dante returned a good hour later, tossing a bloody rag over to the vampire. "Will this do for their scent?" If not, he could always snag someone from downstairs in the tavern. . . .
Looking worn, he moved to sit on the bed, watching in dull interest. "Do I need to be awake for this?"

Lyna was in a shop with Cain, looking at some new clothes for her considering hers had dried blood on it, they were muddy and torn, and people were staring at her as they went by. That was when some snagged her from behind and dragged her out of the shop, she struggled as best as she could but there was nothing she could, in a last effort to get Cain's attention. She mubbled a few muffled words, that caused a spark to show up from her neckalace, and the next thing she knew the spark went out. After a few minutes of her still trying to struggle the person knocked her out and put her in the back of a wagon, taking her away from the town and area.
