Obsidian Raven's Song 04-20-2010 05:01 AM

((So yes, I am back now, but I'm really jet-lagged so there is next to no possibility of a coherent post from me this evening. Even this seems to be stressing my brain. I promise I'll post tomorrow! But first... sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeep....))

EmbracedInChains 04-20-2010 05:21 AM

((I'm sorry, guys. As much as I like this RP, I don't think I'll be able to keep up with it. I've just become far too busy with searching for a new apartment and such. Go ahead and give my spot for the other person who wanted to join. Sorry, again! Wish you all well!))

iinsanely Sane 04-20-2010 04:32 PM

(( Same here, I don't think I can keep up with this RP right now.. I'm really busy, I'm moving house, got a number of exams, and then a few emotional problems xDD But anywhooo, I hope I can come back ))

DearSweetAru 04-20-2010 06:18 PM

((Noooo D: *whines*

This RP is actually gonna start slowing down a lot xDD which I may have to PM that to both of you... I am currently looking for a job and slowly becoming obsessed with working on my website @[email protected] so I can get money and move outta here. Also, I got finals to catch up on xDDD It's what I get for being lazy and got two art things I gotta do on here, so now that the group is split... it'll start being a slower pace :D

I'll PM you two if it ends up that you guys don't respond to this o-o I'll also make another post later to move it along instead of just preeeetty much replying to Malice lol.

I hope you guys stay D: ))

iinsanely Sane 04-23-2010 05:08 PM

(( I'll try. XD ))

DearSweetAru 04-23-2010 06:28 PM

((I'll have to contact Embraced in Chains :D I'll try and do it sometime today, though Imma try and get stuff done today before SF... o.0

If anyone wants to reply, go ahead. Just one of those moving on with the story things...))

DearSweetAru 05-01-2010 03:17 AM

((Okay, she's quitting o-o

I'll try and make a post soonish o-o))

DearSweetAru 05-04-2010 06:23 PM

((After reading, I realized I only really needta make a brief little post to get ya'll going o_o since it's more of "WTF do I do now?" than anything.

GOOODIES:
Talked amongst yourselves and decide whether you want to stay the night there and stuff or just head towards the mountains now. I'd advise you all decide who the "leader" or the group is, so there's something going. Just please don't choose Crim just because he's my character, I really don't think he'd be a very good leader... at all xDDD

I'd reply with Crim, but it's pointless. I needta nag Malice to do something with him since I am waiting for him.

BADDIESSSSS:
.... which I can just text Reno for...
Obviously the leader it Kyoko, since he is the one LEADING :D So, since I already know what's gonna happen, just talk and walk. Have Kyoko, Raphael, and Sakyo all get to know each other or something. Otherwise it's really boring... besides that it may take the goodies a bit and I'd like to give them some time to do something, though I don't necessarily mind one group getting ahead of the other...

EVERYBODY:
Think of this like a game.... because it is one. :)

So ja, guess I'll go bug Reno through text? Or something.
Reply with stuff. Don't make me gotta harass you.
I'll be asking my friend Alex if he would like to replace Embraced, or my friend AlexRae... either or. So don't worry about missing elements. I think Imma also kick out Munchkin for she has yet to reply to me.

If no one makes some kinda reply [whether IC or OOC] I will resort to PMing everyone :D I rather not.... so.... do something, please.))

Rising_Violet 05-04-2010 09:27 PM

(( okay! I don't want to see this RP die... So I'm going to try to completely wing a post that will incorporate anyone.. Just have to keep Emilia in character xD; ))

Emilia watched as the other group walked away, already they were divided, but did it really matter? They were strangers to each other, called together by an ambiguous deity that seemed to have the best intentions. Well, a decision had been made, by Emilia at least. The frail-looking girl was going to head to the mountain, whether or not everyone left in the clearing came with. Hadn't Hui said that he was coming though? Emily was sure that Crim, Zephyr and Nana-Haru would come too. Her horse met her half way back to Nana and Hui, making Emily giggle as the horse butted her head against Emilia's shoulder, trying to make her smile and forget whatever glum thoughts she was having.

"Be good Elan... Can you continue to travel with me? To the mountain and where ever this adventure takes us?" The horse tossed her head up and down, making the girl smile before she lead Elan back to Nana and Hui, Izaya came from the sky to settle on her shoulder again. "L-let's get going.. I d-don't know if the goddess will wait for us t-to make it up the m-mountain or not.." Hiding behind her curtain of brown hair she turned to look at Crim and Zephyr. It took a moment of fighting with herself to raise her voice enough that Crim and Zephyr could hear her. "Are y-you two coming to the m-mountain w-with us? ....I'm going before it g-gets too dark.."

Avoiding everyone's eyes she gently tugged on Elan's reins and started off on a path that pointed towards the mountains, withdrawing herself as she wasn't sure anyone was going to follow but she felt as if she owed it to herself and the very few loved ones she had to keep from dallying any longer.

r_e_n_o_Love 05-05-2010 06:51 AM

Nana's eyes followed Emilia's as she darted away. She then nodded at Hui. "I'll be right back." She took the bag from Miwa's side, and headed into the trees. When she emerged again, her clothes were changed, and her hair was tied back into a braid.

As she came out of the trees her attention went to Emelia, and she smiled. "Yeah. And I think it be great, if we could travel together." She petted Miwa on the head, and placed hers so they both met. She breathed softly into Miwa's fur. She then pulled a jug from her bag, and poured the water into her hand. Nana took the water her hand and placed it at Miwa's lips. "There you go friend. You've defiantly more than earned it."

Once the water was gone she turned back to Emilia. "Emelia I know that it is important that we keep moving, but for the sake of our friends here, I think we should find a good place for shelter, and where there is a decent supply of water. This is after all not their journey, they have just decided to be loyal to us. We can start up again when light is more visible. That way we are well rested, and more ready for whatever lays ahead. Maybe we could also test our abilities, I'm afraid of mine, but I at least want to try to be familiar with them."

Raphael kept in step with Sakyo as they journeyed on ahead of the others, and although his ears were fully alert his mind was in the sky. He was beginning to wonder what awaited them on this opposing path they were headed on. "Sorry about earlier Kyoko. Quite an embarrassing scene come to think about it. I don't know what it is, but something about Haru, makes me want to protect her. Kind of like this uncontrollable instinct. I guess you haven't fit into the equation," he said mindlessly. Raphael hummed softly to himself, a tune from one of the villages he had crossed. To be honest he really could care less what side he ended up on. He had nothing to gain, and to loose. Like he had stated before, Sakyo was the only reason he had remained on this journey at all, and the only reason he had summoned his powers to begin with. The only reason he had come to the center was strictly curiosity. He didn't need to find a deeper meaning of life, or a purpose. He had found them both. Perhaps, even Sakyo was the reason he had made it to the center, or remained there at least. Maybe without, he would have turned back.

Rising_Violet 05-05-2010 09:59 PM

(( I hope you don't mind me posting again so soon... <.<;; All of the RPs I participate in seem to be dying..))

Hearing Nana's words, Emilia paused and smiled at Nana. That was a similar idea that the fidgety girl had had earlier, before everyone split off into two groups, so she had no problem with it and instead turned her head to talk to the hawk that sat on her shoulder. "Izaya... Could you go see if the river is near the path to the mountain, or at least a stream?" Ear piercing as the hawk's screech was, Emilia smiled as he took into the air and flew into the shadows of the trees ahead. It seemed that the screech was a signal to a few other birds, because they soared out from the trees and dipped playfully on the thermals near Emily, twittering and cheeping at her. Emilia giggled and held out a hand for one of them, it was Chester, the easily ruffled bird from before.

"Oh.. thank you, Chester.." Ruffling his feathers again, the small bird darted off, and Emily looked back at Nana and the others. Hesitantly she spoke up, her voice still soft as she pointed towards the woods. "..There's a small stream about t-ten minutes in that direction..." She dropped her hand and started to play with her stringy, limp hair. "W-we could all m-meet there..." Well, now Emily was going to wait, a small tentative smile on her lips she glanced from Crim and Zephyr to Nana and Hui. She was glad to see Nana walking around, taking it as a sign that the girl was okay.

Turning her eyes back towards the mountain, Emilia couldn't help but to think that this forest had been labeled "forbidden" for so many generations. Why was that? Emily had come across nothing dangerous in the forest... perhaps the Goddess was protecting them.. or maybe they just hadn't come across the dangers yet. A hand subconsciously ran over the strap that held the guitar to her back, her first night in the forest was coming soon.. would the dark bring out the dangers that had been hidden during the day?

AleRae 05-06-2010 01:33 PM

((Helllooo. I'm AlexRae, Aru's friend. But, I was using my girlfriend's laptop to sign up so I missed up my name and PW cuz her keyboard is screwy. So now I'm Ale, delicious and inebriating. XD My profile's up now))

Aponi caressed the tense muscles of Gileth's neck. She quietly shushed the poor animal, it's stress evident by the steam pouring from it's nostrils. "Hush now, I know you're afraid of the forest, but it's quiet. I promise." As her gravelly voice rippled over Gileth's ears, she only hoped it would remain that way. They were deep into the forest, far from their village. She had seen the Goddess and heard her words. But she had missed the group. She daren't say her own name until there were others nearby. She wasn't afraid of dying, but she wouldn't tempt fate if it was not her time. She was headed for the mountains, and felt that she was close. She wondered how much longer she would be Seeking.

Her sharp eyes darted to the sky and she rose her arm up. The flustered bird Chester smacked right into it. She chuckled harmlessly and gently held the poor bird. "Goodness, small one. You travel fast..." Her eyes misted as she stared into his eyes. The others near, she knew it. A hand tensed, first going to one of her multiple quivers out of instinct, then relaxing to her traveler's bag, fingers nimbly searching out the shape of her flute. Perhaps people that could be trusted? She'd have to wait and see.

As Gileth drank from the crystal stream, she sat down in the waiting position, lifting the hard-carved flute to her lips and blowing softly into it. After a brief series of warming exercises, she began playing a melody. To those sensitive to music, it would be beckoning, haunting on the edge of their minds. To those who weren't, it was merely a flittering tune on the breeze.

((OKIES!!! :D

AleRae is replacing Embraced for Metal.
Alexxxiel is replacing Munckin for Dark. :3

Please excuse their posts if they are slightly off. If they ARE off, just be nice and correct them. :3 I'm slowly helping them blend into the scenery xD))

Alexxxiel 05-07-2010 01:22 AM

Slowly getting off the ground from behind a large tree, Kiel wandered near the clearing then turned around abruptly. Maybe I shouldn't just walk right in, from what happened earlier it would appear that I may startle them. He took a few steps away and turned around again. Well maybe they wont mind all that much, I mean, they already met so many people so what would one more do? It cant get any worse, It is not like I look bad or anything. He started to think about how all the guys back at the village bullied him and started to sweat over it. Unsure what to do about his thoughts, Kiel started walking and ended up circling the clearing three times while he unclouded his mind.
Kiel finally fed up with wandering around walked off to the sound of running water and soon found himself at a river which then caused him to realize that he was growing dehydrated. Kneeling down on his knees and scooping up the water to toss it in his mouth he started to hear a flute play further down the river. It felt as if there was a rope around him tugging him to go near it, so Kiel filled up a canister he had with him and ventured towards the sound where he found a gorgeous woman playing a flute. Distracted with this he walked right through the river and dampened his clothes and took a squat once he was twelve feet away from her. He wanted to say something but could not find the words nor the ability to interrupt the sound with his weak voice. He started to sway gently, not noticing he was even moving and closed his eyes. Thinking about all the pain he had back home, relieving himself of all the troubles he had caused his mother. All the torture he dealt with and went through living there. A tear strolled down his cheek when he thought about it.
I know I did not deserve what happened to me, I just wish I can make things better somehow, at least for one person. He smiled and opened his eyes again and watched the woman play her flute.

DearSweetAru 05-07-2010 06:50 PM

((Nah :D Post as frequently as you want so long as it doesn't go against the flooding rule lol. Especially since it seems people are disappearing and I am NOT going through EVERYONE and finding replacements for them =.= Alex wanted to join, so I gave him a spot and then I want Ale in it <3 so ja.

Imma post with Crim after Malice posts, I'm really nagging him. I'm attached to how cute our characters are XDDD but I REALLY wanna reply with Sakyo and Kyoko for some reason, so I shall!))

Kyoko listened as Raphael spoke to him, but the apology meant nothing to him for his mind was off in another world. Each word went in one ear and out another. Goldenrod eyes half hidden as his eyes narrowed while he walked towards the mountain area he felt bound to. Fingers tapped against his legs to a beat his mother once used to lull him to sleep as a child. Even if he had cared to respond it didn't matter for Sakyo was already ready to hiss at Raphael.

"I don't need someone to save me," she growled then jumped against a couple tree trunks to get far ahead of Raphael. "If you want to protect someone, then go back to the group where there are plenty of weaklings who may need your assistance. The only help I need is that of Kyoko and only because he has information that I need." Rapidly she shook her head from side to side, jaggedly cut crimson hair flailing about her face. She then jumped onto Kyoko's shoulders, crouching over his head. "How long before you take me to him? I could care less about this goddess business."

He let out a soft chuckle before he tugged on her feet, causing her to sit on him. Another laugh escaped him as she grabbed his head, knowing he startled her was humorous to him. "I know, Miss Haru. Whom you are seeking will appear long before we reach my destination, but brace yourself... He is no longer who you remember."

Her face softened for the first time in this entire adventure. Delicate fingers loosened their grip on Kyoko's head as she slumped against him. She had a feeling he would be different, but it still hurt to hear it said out loud. "I... know it has been awhile... but how much... has he changed?"

Kyoko knelt down to allow Sakyo easy access off of his back. Once she was on the ground he returned to walking. "He feels nothing now."

She stood where he left her for a few moments before forcing herself to follow him.

Rising_Violet 05-07-2010 08:48 PM

(( If you need anyone to be replaced I can probably play a second character. ^_^ It would be fun to have more than shy lil Emilia ))

DearSweetAru 05-07-2010 11:20 PM

((Okies :3 If I find anyone else who quits XD haha))

AleRae 05-08-2010 06:01 AM

((I'll pick up seconds if need be too. And replying to Kiel to keep it moving while waiting for the other "Goodies" to come bacckkk))

Aponi opened one eye slowly as Kiel approached quietly. She took in his appearance slowly. She was confident of two things; He carried some sort of burden on his small frame, and he was light-feathered. She had met few like him and they were strong warriors with much respect in her tribe. Various old injuries on him and his slight size told her he was much the opposite. She wondered many times herself if she was, but lacked any true emotions or attraction to many to decide. The Mother Spirit would lead her where she needed to be, without a Label. She tilted her head and the flute with it as she looked him over again. She felt sudden relief inside over her basic abandonment. It could've been worse.

She opened both eyes deeply in surprise as he walked through the stream to get near her. She knew the waters were live and thus cold. Part of her was honored he would be so attracted to her, but mostly she was embarrassed, never having someone appreciate or need it like he apparently did. She sensed he wanted to say something, but didn't. She subconsciously tensed her body when he came near, but her own song soothed her tension. Allowing herself to finish playing the original melody, she closed her eyes again. Mother Spirit spoke to others through music, she believed. He would hear what he needed to, she knew.

Letting the final note drift soft and light, she stood quietly. Walking over to him, Gileth put himself in her pathway just in time to catch her before she stumbled. She silently bade him away when she regained her strength and stubbornly continued to close the distance. Now there was only three feet between them when she sat on her knees in front of him, offering one hand to him. "Speak with me, troubled one." Her voice was the usual gravelly from disuse. Every syllable trembled with importance, like words on a dusty page. The rarity of the sound was clean and true. She was attempting to reach out to him, let him know someone heard him.

Malice 05-08-2010 07:08 AM

Zephyr was a bit surprised at Crim's enthusiasm, though he supposed that he shouldn't be so; the boy had shown how he was before when he was around the goddess, and the simple fact that he had clung to Zephyr in the first place said a bit about how he was. Zephyr didn't entirely see it, but he could feel Crim's excitement as their hands entwined once more. It was actually rather cute, he had to admit. He stifled a grin, trying not to turn and face the small boy he had embraced. A rosy colour rose in his cheeks, something he quickly forced away. It wasn't like him to be so quickly protective or liking of a person. But hey, as his new powers had shown, he was learning new things about himself every day. With an experimental flick of his hand, tiny gusts of dust popped up around his feet, unnoticed by any but himself. This time he was unable to suppress his grin, allowing the smile to spread throughout his face, the other hand unconsciously gripping Crim's a little bit tighter.

Thinking that it was truly needed, since at this point Zephyr wasn't entirely sure what to do, he turned around and faced Crim, barely able to stifle the red that so badly wanted to creep into his face, marring his expression with heat and embarrassment. Their hands still held comfortably, Zephyr began to speak, awkward at first and then gaining confidence.

"I'm guessing you want to... follow the goddess? Those other people didn't seem all that great." Zephyr said, barely pausing to let him answer before continuing in his own thoughts. "I'm not sure what I'm going to do." He said, eyes suddenly cast to the canopy above them and the small bits of sky that broke through here and there. It was getting late. Soon camp would need to be made. "I think I should stay with you. Or you stay with me. I'm following the goddess, and she said we would find strength in our counterparts..." Zephyr trailed off, giving Crim's hand a slight squeeze in this final few words.

[[D: I hope ish okies. I couldn't think of much to put.]]

DearSweetAru 05-09-2010 06:43 AM

((Malice, your post is fine D< Stop freakin out. You know I love your posts, dammit.

Oiii... I might just start bolding when my peeps talk xD I feel bad making ya'll read such bright colors.))

The world around him was bright, warm, and inviting to Crim despite the sun setting and the dark night sky slowly creeping over their heads. Nothing mattered at this point other than Zephyr's hand gripping onto his. He squeezed tightly in return, though not as tight as Zephyr's due to Crim being far weaker. A couple baby steps allowed him to be closer to his counterpart. A large grin spread across his tiny, round face as his cheeks glowed a bright crimson color. "Of course I'm following the goddess! She is amazing! You saw her right? She was soooo pretty. I don't think she could be bad either, so I don't know why the others are leaving. Follow her with me!" He chimed the last line.

That was when he realized how dark the forest was. A soft whimper escaped him as his expression quickly changed from cheerful to terrified. He clung onto Zephyr's arm, pressing his cheek against it for comfort. Soon enough the sun would leave completely and he would be stuck in the darkness that he had ventured into a few hours ago to reach this area. Luckily he bonked into someone then and luckily he was with a group now. If anything came out of the shadows he had people who could protect him, since he had no idea how to. "L-let's go! W-water is a great idea!"

"I see you have been touched by Anri as well," came a soothing, mysterious voice high above Aponi and Kiel somewhere in the trees. "I do hope she has chosen well... My creatures do not take well to strangers in their domain." The precise location for the voice of the calm female was hard to pinpoint. Hiding was a specialty of Sly's, one that has saved her from many villagers trying to kidnap her. It was both highly likely and unlikely that any of the people that were called by the goddess to recognize Sly from tales in their villages. Many rumors were spread around about the elegant woman who danced about the trees with skin and hair as white as the winter snow and how she seemed to float along side the wind. Some villages, however, forgot about her as years passed.

She seemed to float down from the sky as Sly revealed herself to the two strangers in her forest, gently hovering over the river's crystal clear water. "Please refrain from desecrating this forest... it will allow the creatures surrounding you to trust that you shall not harm their home. Otherwise I refuse to prevent them from attacking you. This is not a threat, but a warning." The words were spoken with a soft, motherly smile on her soft pink lips. Her untamed hair sat on her shoulders; bright, purple eyes examined the two chosen by Anri. Everything about her seemed rather unreal for those who never dealt with spirits and the likes of them.

Alexxxiel 05-09-2010 09:04 AM

His muscles tightened as the music seized to continue, looking up to the woman who knelt before him. Kiel could not help but smile a bit, it has been a long time since he last had an experience with someone friendly. "That music was very touching." He feared to speak much louder out of worry to damage his throat, as well as worried to be judged by his near silent speech. He was so used to hiding himself entirely back home that it was a relief to even let out the small amount of words he released.
He placed his hand on his cheek and slowly moved his hair out of his eyes, revealing a pale blue to near white colored eyes that made his pupils a light gray. They were another one of his frail pieces that he tried covering up and disliked mentioning. But some reason he felt she would accept him for all his vulnerabilities and wanted to share them all to this soothing lady. Not before long he had heard another voice from the trees. Looking around to try to trace the voice to its source, the hairs on his arms stood on end as he started to worry. The worry did not last long as the source revealed herself to the two of them, her appearance made him very calm since he felt he can relate to it. She was so different and so was he, it made him smile a bit but noticed that the smile did not match what was being spoken of so he quickly wiped the smile away from his face.

"I do not wish to cause harm to anything. I hope I did not make any mistakes." Kiel tried to speak loudly for the new addition to hear him which caused him to cough a bit so he quickly took a drink of the water he had accumulated in the canister. After he finished he added in a little less forceful. " Anri? you must be speaking of the goddess." He had a delayed realization but felt a need to get that clarified, since he was still unsure if he wanted to take on the element she spoke of. He had lived his life in the dark for so long, and now that he escaped it he was unsure if he wanted to take it on, though having little friends to bond with has crossed his mind as useful.

AleRae 05-09-2010 09:42 AM

Aponi cautiously lifted her hands to touch both his cheeks. Her deep eyes took in his light ones, carving a memory of his face in her mind. As he spoke, she felt the strain vibrate through his face. She took one hand and placed it to her own throat in understanding. "Then the Mother Spirit sings to you through me tonight. I thank you, and Her." There was a slight rasp to some of the vowels, like she was unused to them. She gently thumbed his cheek in learning, wanting to understand the poor boy before her. A Chosen.. Just like me, perhaps? She knew his element was different, but perhaps they were all the same in the end..

She was in the process of bringing her hands back to herself when Sly's voice rang out. Instinctively her hands went to quiver and bow, but slackened off them as Sly continued speaking. It would not do to go aggressively into the dark night, she knew. Too many potentials, not enough information to warrant violent action. When she presented herself, Aponi's eyes went wide. Her people had called her Kachina, the Sacred Dancing Spirit.. But other than those who spoke to the elderly and infirmed, those stories had died out years ago. She thought it was just the crones waxing and waning to a young pup.

"Does she go by that, or do you call to her by that?" After listening to Kiel speaking, she felt like her patterns were strange or awkward. She peered intensely at Sly, eyes analyzing her thoroughly. She spoke of the forest's sacredness, but though her tone was motherly, her words drifted oddly within the girl. "I could hardly be so savage as to harm the forest or it's kind for anything other than lifesource, and I would be sure to give back to it twice what I take." She beckoned Gileth near and reached into his saddlebags to reveal seedpouches. She was serious about the returning what she took thing.

She was torn. On one hand, Aponi deeply wanted to interact with Kiel. See through his eyes and know his heart. She wanted to know what her fellow Chosen were like. If they were similar or how they were not. However, this spirit she felt she just could not ignore, though for the better or not, she could not tell. Only Time would, she knew.

DearSweetAru 05-09-2010 06:40 PM

((*sniffles* D: I AM... SO PROUD OF YOU ALEX D; I taught you well in the ways or RPing! You have seriously improved sooo much over the years <3 ;3 I'm an aaaawesome teacher lol.

Now to reply :D It's sooo much fun being Sly! She's sooo different.))

"The spirits have told me that is what they wish to call her, but I am unsure if that is Anri's true name for I have never spoken to her directly. I have felt her presence and have heard many tales from the weaker ones of her beauty, but sadly I have yet to see her in this lifetime, for I am not one she seeks to provide enlightenment to for I have already achieved it. Yes, she is the goddess of whom you speak of; a powerful spirit." A soft smile crept over her small lips. The dress she wore flowed about her, wrapping around her legs from time to time yet there was no wind to cause such an occurrence. She was slightly shocked and she tilted her head slightly to the side, but her face was still as soft and calm as before, when Kiel spoke of hoping he had made no mistakes. Truly they had yet to do anything. This was her way of warning them ahead of time, since the creatures will not take kindly to their home being destroyed in any way. "I hope I did not cause you any guilt, young one. I say this only because I want to prevent any harm from being done to my domain, the creatures who dwell in it, and the innocent visitors who do not know any better. Treat this forest as your most prized possession whether it is a loved one, home, or something you hold dear to your heart. You have entered someone's home where families live and strive upon each other; a sacred land not meant for human eyes. The water is the purest you will ever taste because humans are too terrified to enter this forest. If Anri had not called upon you, the creatures may have chosen to destroy you long before you reached the center if they felt your soul was too tainted."

A smile returned to her as Aponi showed her the seeds. "You must come from one of the villages that still admires and appreciates the earth and all she has given to us. I adore those humans... the ones who stay true to their roots rather than defiling it like many of the villages have been doing. I hope Anri will have you all restore the balance that our world has lost with the powers she has given to you... having control of the elements is a wonderful gift you should cherish."

There was a pause. Lavender eyes focused on Kiel's neck, her pupils suddenly very tiny. Her eyelids shut as she took in a deep breath causing her chest to puff out slightly, but barely noticeable. Sly let the breath out slowly and stared at Kiel. "It is sad that your counterpart is on another adventure, though it does benefit my loved one greatly... The one who possesses light could have healed your throat and allow you to speak without strain, but his soul is intertwined with my Kyon, whom you may know as Haru." There was a hint of sorrow when she spoke her foster daughter's name, but it was quickly pushed aside. Delicately she placed her cold fingertips against Kiel's neck. "He could have healed both of you... but his guardian spirit wishes to follow that of Kyon's..." Part of her grieved for the two of them momentarily, but then she remembered the pain that Sakyo had to endure. "Please understand she needs this healing... Be confident, for what others think of you does not matter to reach enlightenment. You do not need your voice to be a grand being."

Sly pushed a bulk of her hair over her shoulder as she gazed down at the stream below her before returning her attention to Aponi and Kiel. "Follow the river. It will lead you to a lake that is by the mountain Anri wishes you to meet her at. Luckily you have both air elements by your side, you will need their help to get you to the grave. Other elements can help as well, but the air elements have the easiest time in getting there. Also, I will stay alongside you until the spirits bade me to leave. My aura should be enough to light your way through these dark woods as well as comfort that of the flying element."

She looked directly into Aponi's eyes and blinked. Though all of her movements were simple, somehow they appeared mystical and graceful. "If you wish, you may continue connecting with the dark element. I will no longer interrupt for I have said my piece."

[Hey Alex. Glad you finally joined.
And Alerae, it, is I Usagi, from gaia, and Peach Papaya, do you remember me? It's cool if you don't. :) ]

Nana grew a bit excited as Emelia spoke. "That's a great idea, and since it's such a short distance, we won't need to ride out." This was turning out to be better than she expected. She did a graceful spin in her place, then nodded in agreement with Crim. "Wait a second please, I have an idea." Nana had noticed the fear in Crim's voice, and even if she hadn't, his looks and actions, gave him away. On the side of Miwa there was a very special lantern that had been passed down from her grandfather. It was the first time that Nobu had appeared to him. He had been a young man then, and his wife, Nana's grandmother had gone into labor. The night had been, dark and stormy. The wagon they had been traveling in had been stolen from them. They were lost in a forest, all around them they could hear the noises of wild animals. All of a sudden though, from the crevices of the trees they saw a traveling light. They thought it must be one of the spirits of the forest guiding them. And soon they found themselves at an old, abandoned house. It wasn't anything to live in, but it was good enough for tonight. After her mother was born, her grandfather went out to thank the spirit who had guided them. He found Nobu settled next to the glowing lantern, and before he drew to close the hawk, with its wide spreading wings flew off, and faded into the dark sky. "The next time I saw Nobu he was flying beside your father. I assume there's no guessing why I said yes to him, when he asked of your mother's hand," her grandfather had said.

Nana unlatched the lantern. Once free she turned the nob so that the metal rods inside the containment sparked as they rotated against each other. After a few turns a white light slowly began to illuminate the containment. She smiled and walked it over to where Crim stood holding onto Zephyr's hand. "Um...." For a moment she paused, then took in a deep breath, and put on a brave face. She didn't even know if she had heard the boys name. At this point she felt foolish to ask it, so she decided to give hers instead. "I'm not sure if you heard my name already, but it's Nana-Haru. Nana or Haru or another name, if you so choose to call me. I don't mind." She sighed. "Anyways-" she holds out the lantern to him "-I was wondering if you would like to hold onto this. It's getting darker, and I know this will make it a little easier to see our surroundings, and maybe it'll help you feel more comfortable. It always has for me." She smiled, in hopes that it would make him feel better.

Raphael shook his head, and shrugged his shoulders. Trust me I know that.... Quite frankly you're to much trouble for me to even think of it. He looked at his hands, and out drew his claws. It's natural that a wolf is loyal to his pack. But what happens when you don't have one? All he could think of were the many times he had half listened to the lessons of the elders, as they spoke about a wolf's natural instincts. This wasn't the first time he had tried to protect someone, but the first time he had actually felt he needed to. Of course even still, it wasn't so much the need to protect, it was the need to be around. It was the need to not abandon Sakyo that kept him by her, though it was clear even to him that she didn't need him. It was like he didn't even have to think about it when he kept beside her. He knew it wasn't attraction, but instinct.

Raphael thought back to when they had first met, not even close to a day had passed. It was the first time he had felt he had met his equal. He hadn't made an attempt to fight her, but she had knocked him down without him having the slightest chance of reaction before he was on the ground with a blade at his throat. After getting a better look at her, Raphael could tell by her stance that she could surely handle him, if not, kill him. Something that he didn't to much care about. He still thought it would have been an honor to finally meet the one who could finally pull it off. But she hadn't killed him yet, and had permitted him to follow her. Come to think of it, she had taken the lead to begin with.

As he put each piece together, it finally dawned upon him why all this was occurring. So he did all he could do in this moment, he leaped into the trees, distancing himself from the group. He wouldn't grow any more attachments, and as soon as this was all over, he would detached himself completely. Maybe it would be after Sakyo found what ever she was looking for.

Raphael watched their actions as he followed from above. After sometime had passed, he saw Sakyo draw away from Kyoko. He ignored his urge to go down beside her.

(( I remember when I could barely make a full paragraph with decent literacy .... ahh the young days.. Thank you Al >.<
Sly is lovely in a odd way. XP
Oh hello there! I am glad too! XP))

Smiling gently to both Aponi and Sly, Kiel felt completely safe and comfortable in their presence. He slowly gazed across both, distracted with his own mind for a moment and taking in his surroundings. Looking slowly across from one to another he nodded and smiled. " I thank you both for being so kind, it is truly appreciated... I am happy to have met such gentle people, not what I've grown accustomed to." He paused at the end, thinking he sounded a little off but did not let that get to him. Listening intently to every word that was said so he can get the bearings as to what he should most likely avoid doing. "Oh it is fine miss, no guilt at all, just clarifying that nothing was going wrong ... Oh! I hope I did not contaminate the water, I seemed to have walked through it." He was slow on realizing he was soaked from the waist down, just noticing how cold it was he started to shiver. Though when she placed her cold fingers on his neck it made him calm, that gentle touch is not what he is used to, even if it was freezing it made him smile. " I do not mind my voice being weak, I think it makes me unique to my persona." Kiel smiled as he touched his own throat , attempting to keep himself from shaking but failing in turn making him shiver more.
Once Kiel heard the word grave he froze, for the longest time his mother had told him that his father died, it was not till he snooped a bit that he found out it was a lie though the words that reminded him of death always made him think to that since his father was basically dead to him, hated him for what he was. He tried to make himself stronger just to change everyone's opinion on him, which seemed to only make them avoid him, which he thought was worse then being punished.
"Grave ..." He muttered as he was lost in his thoughts, trying to keep himself in control and not lose himself. " Why are we going to a grave?" He said aloud on accident, his thoughts being pushed out of his mind. The last bit that Sly said was not caught in his head from the distraction of his thoughts.
