Though it may take Reno a bit. Apparently she has like... 5 RPs to reply in XD ha ha. )) ---------- Crim was the last to wake in the good guy camp as he stayed snuggled up against his cuddle buddy Zephyr the entire time. Anytime he felt he had scooted away from Crim he would instinctively cling on and pull himself closer even if he was deep in dreamland. Whatever he dreamed of was extremely pleasant, which was clear upon his smiling face as he slept soundly through the night. It was also obvious that Crim was a deep sleeper! Since none of the noises anyone in the camp made even made him stir from his slumber. Hell, Zephyr could have been awake for an hour or so and the tiny teenager would still be clinging onto him in sleep. |
Kiel retracted his mouth from Makael's ear and watched him as he made peculiar sounds that perked his own ears with a tasteful interest. It made him a little dizzy but he smiled and snuggled about. "Good morning sleepyhead, glad to see you can be awaken by nibbles." He chuckled gently and relaxed his gaze on Makael's face. Though once Makael noticed his heavy eye lids he turned away, rolling over to face away from Makael and snuggled close to him and pulled his arms around him tightly. "No it was not you that kept me up, you slept peacefully, very adorably I would have to say, But there were things that kept me up, I suppose it was just night spooks. nothing to worry to much about I am sure." He gently glided his fingertips across the older man's arm and then jumped out of the bed and looked down at him. "I suppose we shall get dressed and ready for our trip to the mountain, no time to wait really..." Kiel's eye caught glimpse of Makaels chest a little more and it made his mind go off track a little. Turning away from him and tossing on his clothes with out much chance for Makael to talk anymore privately with him, He had left the make shift tent and stretched his aching tired muscles and searched the surroundings to see who else was up and about. |
I'll post when I get back today.

Zephyr almost jerked back when he noticed that Crim had woken up. Only moments had passed since had kissed the boy, and Zephyr couldn't tell if he had noticed or not. In any case, his face instantly grew hot and red, and he scooted back slightly while Crim was still half-asleep. One half of him wanted Crim to know, the other half didn't. He stared at the boy, almost unable to take his eyes off of him. Not only was it because he was shocked by his sudden awakening, but simply because he liked looking at Crim.
After a few seconds of this though, he knew the moment needed to end. He sat up a little, backing away and leaning on his elbows. "Hey Crim, you sleep alright? I'm not sure if anyone else is up yet..." [[Short post because I honestly 'unno what else to do. xD]] |
((Nice. Imma assume it's my turn, I guess. We really needta start replying more... it's like it's dying which is bothersome))

(( -pokes and prods Reno and Aru- xD You two should post yes? I'm sorry I haven't been posting anywhere. Life is getting kinda busy right now... I visited my grandmother for a week, went to an anime convention, went job hunting, and now I gotta go out of town again for two separate birthday parties this weekend.. So I'll hopefully post when I return.. ))

[Eh... I'll post hopefully tomorrow or else it will be Monday when I get back from doing stuff. Was attempting to post, but drama happened between the past couple days. Course if it's not one thing it's another. Don't feel the need to wait on me, I've been taking so long. I was going to have Nana tell Aponi to go after Emily or somethin like that. Raph will probably just have some smart ass comment to make, and Scavery really isn't tying anyone down I believe. I unno. But feel free to go around my characters, or whatnot. I can bs something later. ]

((I've just been bleh lately, to be honest.
I know for sure I gotta make a post in Maxwell House, so that'll be done first, then either this or Rising's RP... I suppose.)) |
((BS POST BROUGHT TO YOU BY TEH ME!!!!!!! O_o))
For a few moments Crim laid there with his arms above his head as he stared at Zephyr. The young city boy wasn't much of a morning person unless his work scheduled him in before noon, which only happened on sale days. He blinked, rubbed his eyes with the arm has wasn't laying on, then proceeded to stare at Zephyr. Comprehending all that was going on around him was taking a bit to process, but gradually he did. Soon enough he remembered where he was and recognized who he was staring at: his partner. A grin spread across his features. |
[Not going to be very long, I warn you now. This is just a move along.]
Nana "Mmmmm." Nana nodded. "Sounds like a good idea. We'll defiantly need the energy." She picked up her bag from the ground, and the the sash over her shoulders. "I'll be..." she trailed off. Aponi had addressed her, and when she had turned to give her response, only a silent gasp came out. There were small patches on her face that didn't in anyway match the color of her skin. Carelessly her eyes moved a bit towards Emily, only to stop before ever catching site of her. At last Nana was able to compose herself, and said, "s-s-sure. Of course I can." She was both recovering, as well as fearing what Aponi was going to ask of her. With her luck she'd make the girl never want to call out her power, or so she thought. She could only recall the incident in the center where she had been the cause of her own pain, she couldn't bare with herself if she let the same thing happen to Aponi. But, she was her partner and most importantly her friend, whatever came ahead, Nana would help her get through. Now that didn't mean that she had experienced a major character change. (It was mostly in her head, the way things generally were.) So it shouldn't surprise you that she was like a deer in the headlights when she caught the small squeak coming from Emilia, and then saw the tears streaming from her eyes. The only thing good that came out of it from her was that she stopped herself in the midst of going after Emilia, and didn't come down to harshly on herself for being afraid to do so. (Go after her that is.) Instead she turned to Aponi, who she already knew was going to go after her, whether she had said something or not. "Aponi, can you make sure she's ok? I think you will be better at comforting her than I could, and she needs the best. She also needs to know that you're ok." "I-I'll be back by the time you are, I'm sure." She tightened her grip on her strap. "Stay here Miwa. I'll be right back." Nana took off into a light jog in the opposite direction. Raphael Raph shrugged his shoulders. "I could care less, and I... never mind." He probably didn't want to talk about yesterdays events anyways. "Eh? No thanks," was his response to the cigarettes. "I'd like to stay in shape for worthier battles, but thanks." He stretched his arms upward, and sighed. "I have a feelin, she's up and moving about already, 'sides, think she'd rather come to us. " Raph sat down in a chair, and looked up to him. Yesterday had been pretty rough on, she'd come out on her own time. (And give them her next order.) I'm feeling more dog than wolf, he thought. "You certainly have some sense of direction. As far as I can tell, we're not going to be dealing with the goddess's affairs in the least. Don't know the details, but Haru's got her own journey plotted out, and I'm only a tag long. My only interest is her...." He bit his lip, and looked down. "And it's not what it sounds like..." he whispered. Scavery In a small clearing, just before a patch of trees that marked the ends of the forest was a formation of rocks that marked a grave. Scavery entered the clearing, and knelt down in front of the pile of stones. Eyes closed, and hands at his side, his head dropped, and he began muttering in ancient tongue, a prayer from his people. Scavery could feel the chills running through his body, but payed it no mind, he didn't expect anything. However, when he felt the atmosphere become calming, and a familiar voice sang a familiar tune, he could not help himself, but to gaze up at the black hair beauty that sat over him. Pale hands caressed chin, dark green eyes stared into his. "Seraphim," he whispered. "Yes, dear brother, it is I, and not I, all in the same. For you see, I have no flesh, and I am not the same as I was, only memory of what I was, in a way." "Then you know why I came." He stood up, and gazed upon her. The white gown she wore sloped down from her slender shoulders. He pulled it back into place, and slipped back down. "Always to small." She smiled. "Goodbye. You came to say goodbye." "I will be back. I promised I'd watch over you-" "Such silly promises aren't meant to be kept." "All the same." He sighed. "Goodbye Seraphim." "Goodbye." She kissed him on the cheek, and then became orbs of light that shortly disappeared. [Bah....] |
((OMGSQUEEILUALL!))
Aponi barely had registered the sound of Nana's voice. The startled reaction, the small gasp, let alone the tears.. Aponi felt like she'd been punched in the gut. She reached out to grab Emily's wrist when she finally realized that Nana had said she'd help her. "Thank you, friend.." A friend.. Such an awkward word upon her lips. Before Nana could ask, Aponi was hitching herself up into Gileth's saddle. She didn't the girl had gotten far, but this early in the morning, Aponi couldn't, just couldn't run after her. She nodded at her partner and turned him to face the direction she heard the birds in. "Yeah.. I'm.. I'm going. I don't know about the best though... I'll.. I'll try." She almost sounded normal in that moment. Almost. For such a frail girl, Gileth rode like a beast and she looked every bit natural upon him as blue does in the sky. As they neared, the soft pluckings of Emily's guitar rung out in the forest and the stallion slowed to nothing but a lazy, lazy trot. Aponi could walk faster then him, even in her condition. She glared at her steed again and dismounted, a faint shudder in her bones. "Damn your sense of humor, my dearest. It's unbecoming." Gileth snorted at her and blew back her bangs, grossing out the little tribal girl. With a heavy sigh, she steeled herself and took a deep breath before she entered the area Emily sat in. She didn't draw attention to herself at first, instead lifting a flute to her lips. She had no idea how Emily knew it (Having no idea she was from their sister village), but the tune she played was a piece of her tribe.. so she joined in instead of speaking. If Gileth could cry, he would've from the purity of the mixing voices. At the end of the piece, Aponi's soft voice whispered. "You play beautifully.. But that piece is much more suited to a smile than to tears. Perhaps.. I could get a smile? Just a little one?" The socially retarded girl had attempted a warm one herself. The waxy frostbite was already beginning to fade and her skin-tone return.. But the stark color difference was still harsh. ((And then Makael molested Kiel.. No not really, but this post will be FAIL. I suck xD )) Makael smirked a little at the young boy as he roused him. He was going to harass him a little, but then he snuggled into his chest and he just melted. "I think you could wake me up with a smile, sunshine. You're too cute." In truth, it was ridiculously hard not to pin the small boy down with the particularly "special" way he was woken up. In fact, if Kiel paid attention, it would be obvious just how awake he was.. But to this own frustration, he was able to control himself. All he could remember was that Kiel hadn't responded in likeness to his advances, and it was off-putting. He'd cool his heels.. and suffer the wrath of the gods for it, it seemed. Seriously, cuddling? Why'd he have to be so f'king adorable? "You think I'm adorable?... Wait." His voice got grave with concern. "You had something keeping you up? Are you alright?" He reached to touch the fingers so dainty against his toned arm and then the agile monkey child was infuriatingly gone and out. As he ran out of the tent, he growled in frustration. He hurriedly jammed on his pants ((Yes, that's right, Makael sleeps nude.. Ish. [Sorry Alex, I know you wanted him to xD Just the equiv. of cutoffs made of linen] )) and ran after him. "KIEL! WAIT!" He tripped on the legging of his pants as he ran after him and hissed in anger at his own epic fail. It stung a little bit, but was mostly his pride. Standing up, he began watching Kiel stretch... which was just too much temptation for him to take, given his start to his day. The bare-chested, bare foot, and groggy with sleep human was the one to notice Iyaza's flapping. He walked over the bird and picked up the hare. It was of damn good size, but a bit small for the camp. He tilted his head at it and then at Iyaza. In a voice smooth like silk and warm like a summer's eve, he crooned to the graceful bird and went to lightly stroke his chest with a single finger. He loved birds, deeply. Ever since he was a small boy and his first crush had been on a falconry master. "Hey little guy, thanks for the food. How're you doing? Are you hungry too?" He felt like he should learn this bird. It seemed important to his partner anyway.. He couldn't help but wonder if she was awake or not.. He peeked into the girls' tent to find it empty and saw Nana by herself jogging off - he guessed maybe to forage for berries or something. He could only assume that Aponi and Emily were together again, perhaps alone, and that left a bad taste in his mouth. He pulled up a log to sit on by the fire and began skinning and preparing the hare, his agitation levels high. The nearby river seemed uneasy at his irritation and appeared to go unnervingly still. Droplets of water could be seen healing the scrapes that Makael had given himself by being a dorkface and trying to dress himself and run at the same time. |
Kamrin shrugged when Raphael declined the ciggerettes, raising an eyebrow at the excuse he made. Pulling out a match and a ciggerette, he placed the container away and cupped the tobacco stick while he lit it. A deep breath in and he blew a cloud of smoke into the air, listening idly to Raphael.
"Hm." Was the man's only response when the wolf insisted that Haru would come down in her own time. Kamrin could concede that he knew nothing about the fire-princess, and so would believe what Raphael said when he saw it. Being told that he had a sense of direction startled Kamrin a bit, and he shifted in his seat, leaning a bit closer while trying to appear dissinterested. That was the first time that he had been told that he seemed to have a sense of direction, however he wasn't about to argue. A grin spread across his face, making the ciggerette wobble whne he heard that they were not planning on following the Goddess. In fact the man leaned back with a smug look, pulling the cig out just to blow a small smoke ring into the air. "Sounds good t'me, I don't see th'sense in followin' some spirit that's got 'er own plans." At first Kamrin was surprised when Raph failed to be as articulate as he might have liked when it came to following around Haru. With a sly grin, Kamrin leaned forward and removed the ciggerette to talk this time. "Seems like we've got similar interests, as my elemental partner, I'd like ta get ta know 'er a bit better." He leaned back and flicked the ash into a cup. "But ya seem more like the lone wanderer type ta me, so I wa'n't too worried about ya being int'rested her in the way you didn't mean." Teasing Raphael now, that was always a most clever thing to do (not). However to punctuate his sentence, Kamrin stood up. "However, I don' like ta sit in one place too long, would ya like to go and check on her majesty?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Emilia was lost in the sound of guitar, trying to clear her mind so that she didn't have to think about what she had done to Aponi, or what the others must think of her. The girl was also avoiding beating herself up mentally for proving to be irresponsible and incapable of the power that the Goddess had given her. Soon it seemed as if the air were flooded with the familiar calming sound of the song often played in her village. It was one that Emily always liked despite the communal moments it represented. Several of the birds, who had been flying about when Aponi first arrived, settled in the trees. One of them dared to settle on Aponi's shoulder, knowing that Aponi held a respect for the forest and it's creatures. It wasn't until Aponi whispered, that Emily realized that she had company and the sound of the flute wasn't just in her head. Giving a start she closed her eyes and forced herself to relax. Opening her eyes again she settled them solemnly on Aponi, and then turned away, plucking a string to tune it. "..How can I smile, even just a little, when I hurt you? I am unfit to help the goddess, or anyone. I was the lowly pidgeon keeper in my village, and the birds... were my only friends." After she strummed all six strings she went wide-eyed, having realized that she got out more than a single sentence without stuttering, despite the contempt in her tone. Chester, the small sterling twittered down and nuzzled hisself in the crook of her neck, mussing her long hair. However Emilia's hands were shaking, had she spoken wrongly? Why would Aponi want to hear anything other than an apology for what Emily had done? With a soft breath in, the girl hid her face behind her hair and plucked at the twings in a quick, jittery tune. One that she was making up on the spot. A few of the birds fluttered down to perch somewhere on Emilia, one or two flittered passed Aponi. Even though there were so many different birds, the forest was farely silent save for the guitar and the wind. "I hurt you Aponi.. N-n-next time.." The tune of her playing changed for lower notes. "Y-you could be a st-statue of ice.." ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Izaya would have taken offense to being called 'little guy' if Makael had been someone else. Instead the hawk puffed his chest and fluttered over to a rock, cocking his head at the man. Was Izaya hungry? Well the bird could certainly take care of himself, and gave Makael a look that might convey just as much. The hawk seemed to be sitting there, observing Makael for a long time before jumping off of the rock and waddling over to the man's log. Gently, he nipped at the water that was healing the scrapes, then flapped his wings. Sure the hare needed to be cooked, but Izaya wanted Makael and Emilia to talk. He was skilled in his abilities, while Emilia was currently fearing her own. If Makael responded to the hawk at all, Izaya would take off and fly to a nearby tree branch in Emilia's direction. |
Kiel Continued to stretch out his limps, spreading his legs wide ans grabbing both his ankles. "Yes... You... Adorable." He emphasized each word to get it into Makael's mind clearly. "And I am fine, just couldn't sleep, I am sure I can ask the goddess more about it if anything, I have a hunch it was me losing control of my uh, element." He looked at Makael then closed his eyes to try to permanantly imprint the image into his mind. When he opened his eyes again he noticed Makael having a moment with the bird, Izaya. Kiel smiled when he saw the bird fly off to a rock only to return back to Makael shortly after. It was times like these he wished he had a camera of any sort with him, to record that small bond, to hold a memory tight, the capability to re watch it again and again. Sadly he had the camera on him when he went into the small river and it broke, so he just stared for a while and smiled partially.
"Uh, Makael?" Kiel slowly walked over towards the man that he was ever so attracted to, holding out a small pouch that he held open as wide he could. " The Hare skin, er, mind if I can have it? I think I could make something useful with it later on. But I just, don't wanna watch you skinning it." The whole time he was half glancing at Makael to try to avoid seeing the Hare. "Also, Never knew you had a soft spot for Birdies, it is kinda cute." He swooned slightly then quickly regained his composure and hoped Makael did not notice him showing too much emotion towards him. Kiel may like the guy but if he were to notice how much he liked him then he was worried of the reaction. |
(( I will be bugging Ash to post now. He claims he has a post done, but I have yet to see it.

Imma just reply with the others.)) EDIT: The fabric felt nice against her skin; she had a feeling Loki presented these to Sakyo for that reason. Sakyo hoped the outfit wouldn't draw too much attention to her, but in this town it was unlikely anyone cared. However, her companion Raphael just might. She groaned, scowled, and stomped out of her room then down the flights of stairs leading up to her floor. The staircase had many turns to go down, making Sakyo for lost for a moment. Eventually she reached the bottom floor, immediately recognizing Raphael's smell not too far from her as well as the man who gave her the clothes. "How much do you want for the rooms and clothes?" |
[[I love how everyone else is like "This post won't be very long, it's not great." and then it's longer than anything I normally post. >.>; I think I'm the only person playing only one character.]]
Zephyr moved closer, stammering out a response as he did so. "N-no! Not at all! I, you, uhm. I just thought you might- maybe if I were to... Ah, nevermind. I slept fine." Why was this kid so easily able to send him into such a stumbling state? His thoughts never seemed rational, his actions even more insane. This was so out of character for him. His thoughts halted as he snuggled up to Crim, being replaced by a certain kind of warm blankness. Whatever this was, whoever this boy was, and what this situation did… it wasn’t normal. A lingering feeling in the back of his mind said that something was wrong with this bonding, but he didn’t want to listen. If Crim was what really made Zephyr happy, then Zephyr wasn’t quite sure that there was much to be done about it. Zephyr nuzzled against Crim, laying his head against his chest despite being the larger male in the tent. The tent wasn’t too big, being just big enough for Crim and Zephyr and possibly a third person if they wanted an especially uncomfortable night’s rest. It was ideal for the purposes that Crim undoubtedly had in mind; he was quite the snuggly person, as was implied by Zephry’s being dubbed “snugglebuddy”. Whatever the case, Zephyr thoroughly enjoyed not only the previous night, but this very moment. Crim made an amazing cling-toy despite his skinniness, and had the cutest manner of sleeping and breathing. Since he was so upset and Zephyr’s momentary parting, Zephyr could only assume that Crim felt much the same towards him in that regard. Being compared to Mr. Truffles made Zephyr blush, but then again, so did most things that Crim said. This was the closest the two had been, and Zephyr wasn’t quite sure if Crim knew the significance of the feeling in Zephyr’s heart and mind. “Did you dream at all, Crim? I had some lovely dreams.” Zephyr said, unable to think of much else to say nuzzled against Crim’s chest and neck. |
Aponi smiled to herself as Emily filled out the tune with her, and even brighter when a bird landed on her shoulder. She rubbed it's chest gently with a fingertip and then moved closer to the girl shying away from looking at her. As she opened her eyes only to look away, Aponi sat beside her and looked forward into the forest. As she tuned the guitar, the lanky tribal girl spoke awkwardly but honestly. "You can smile, because it's a beautiful day. Because you were Chosen by the goddess for a reason, not all reasons are the same or our own." She turned to look directly at Emily, even if she wouldn't look at her. "Even the strongest village is only as good as their 'lowliest' person. A pidgeon keeper in a world based on birds is the same as a horse tender in a village based on them. Would you disrespect the warrior who trains horses for all to ride, in turn training the very horses that help the patrols keep you safe at night? I think not." As if to make a point, Gileth walked up behind Emilia and nudged her in the back.
The would-be Earth elemental sighed heavily as she realized what was really upsetting the girl beside her. Guilt? Over the small piece of 'damaged' skin which would heal itself by mid-afternoon? No. She feared herself, and Aponi was an expy. She understood a little better now. As the birds flickered past, Aponi improved around Emily's improve, playing fill notes between the beats. She spoke better in music than in word anyways, so it worked out for her. Amongst the jittery pickings, the flute was smooth and open, notes lingering briefly as a soft but resilient background noise. "You did not really hurt me, Emili- Emily. It felt little more than a tickle or an itch." She heaved a heavy sigh, almost harmonizing with the shift in the guitar as she folded her hands in her lap. "In reality, it is probably much more my own fault that it occurred than your own.." She reached to touch the other young woman on the shoulder lightly. "Consider. While you may have trouble controlling your element to a degree, none of the ice or the chill reaches more than a few inches off your body.. I.." As the strain on her vocal cords rose from her effort to keep her emotion in her voice steady, calm, and soothing, so did her voice weaken slightly. She hesitated and physically quivered slightly before carrying on. Many things were weighing on her heavily, a slight sense of fear could be sensed by those who were tender to such things - like birds, for instance. "I had to have moved closer to you, for it to have happened. You may need to learn to not turn icy or cold, but you already keep it contained. It was my intrusion on your person that caused the real problem.." She looked down her arms where there were exceedingly light marks from the ice. The patterning, shapes, and depth of burn all indicated that she had attempted to cuddle up to and around Emilia as they slept. Embarrassment and shame burned inside her cheeks and her stomach. A tear or two slipped almost undetectably down her dark cheeks. "So, if I were to end up an ice statue as you say... It would be because of my own unacceptable actions, not your own. If.. if you wish me to stay away.." She was losing the strength to keep her voice even, beginning to choke up as a few more loose tears slipped into the darkness that was her hair. She would respect the bird-tender's wish and stay away if told to.. but.. she desperately didn't want to.. The idea kind of upset her, for reasons she could not understand. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Makael raised an eyebrow at Kiel. He honestly found him, of all people, adorable? "Does your element happen to be related to delusional insanity, boy?.. Adorable, indeed." He muttered gruffly, like a man who desperately needed a cup of coffee. He shuffled around the camp uncomfortably for a moment, then heard the second half. His face filled with concern again as he stared at the much younger boy before him. He was pretty sure that here had to be some village out that with a law that said if he so much as looked at him funny, he could be stoned for molesting children. Though.. He was no small boy, that's for sure. He was physically too well developed for that.. Makael flushed darkly and tried to get his mind off it. "So you're having a problem with your element? Do you think it's going to cause problems for you?" The concern in his voice was evident, and very real. The older man suppressed a good, solid laugh when the bird puffed out his chest. It was like his dignity had been insulted, and the look it gave him? My word. If looks could kill. He finally chuckled and smiled apologetically. A bird would probably care less, but he had a very young and almost charming smile naturally - when he wasn't trying to convey or persuade. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. You caught the hare after all, you could probably feed yourself. My bad." He shook his head, mirth still in his face. When Kiel came over, just as shy and as cute as could be, asking for the skin.. Well he couldn't tell him no. Not on a dime. As soon as he finished the knifework and could basically slip the edible portion of the hare out of it's now cocoon-like skin, he did so, dumping the hare onto a clean linen swatch he had set up. He raised the skin up like he was going to put it in Kiel's pouch, then waved his hand before it. The moisture drained from it, dissipating into the air and earth around them. "Here. It's the best you'll get to tanning without waiting for days for it to sun-dry." It also wouldn't have any blood residue or mucus membrane on it, but Makael had spared the young man's pride on the matter. At the mention of a 'soft spot', it was Makael's turn to puff up slightly. His eyes warily glanced over to Izaya. "I don't.. That's the weird thing.." He stood up in curiosity as Izaya nipped at the water droplets repairing his knee. "It's just.. that one." He pointed at the bird below him, as though he weren't even really there. He tilted his head in confusion in the bird's behaviour, but his peripheral vision caught Kiel's swoon. He blushed darkly before he could catch himself. It was so infuriating when youngsters got under his skin... He went to pat Izaya on the head, hoping it would get the bird to stop biting near his already tender skin - only to watch him fly off. Makael looked amongst the hare, Kiel, and the flight path Izaya was taking for a moment, obviously torn.. "Kiel, I'll be back in just a second.. If Crim and Zephyr EVER WAKE UP.. Have one of them start the hare." He got louder when he said wake up, hoping it would get them out of the tent. He looked back at Kiel longingly for a moment. "Just.. Don't go anywhere, okay? I'll come back. I promise." His eyes and voice were deeply pleading and almost... shy? Then he was gone, chasing after Izaya. ((My next post won't have Makael, cuz he took too long to follow Izaya so it'll take two posts to catch up to him/reach the clearing. That's my logickz D:< )) |
There was a sensation Kamrin felt that he wasn't quite used to, soon followed by the voice of the fire-princess that was standing at the foot of the stairs. He looked up at her with a smile, scratching the stubble on his chin. Anyone else could have brushed up that strange feeling he hand, instead he was going to take note of it, certainly there was a reason.
"hmph..." Kamrin glanced at Raphael, after Haru walked to the counter without so much as a passing glance. Alas the situation got interesting enough for Kamrin not to be upset about being ignored. Most people never understood Jack of Shadow's Layer, Kamrin was able to keep pace just enough to know what was being said. However he pretended not to know a thing, just watched with interest. Well until he shouted loudly, after which, Kamrin glanced at Raphael. Kris apologized for his brother, and explained the issue. Cigarette ash was promptly flicked on the floor, and smoke blown into the air. A small grin twitched at the corner of his mouth when Haru stood up for Raphael in her own way. Kamrin put his cigarette out in the half empty glass he had used earlier. Then he had a seat, to finish watching the show with his various hidden opinions occasionally breaking through the mask of vague interest on his face. Well.. until Haru recounted her story. Kamrin hadn't been there for that, and so he listened closely. Then more was said. Doo deedooo... Kamrin actually stood up when the price was recounted on Raphael's room. Honestly Kamrin wanted to haggle with this fiesty Jack cat. For a moment the little angel on his shoulder told him that he might screw up the deal entirely if he so much as offered a bargain, then a cocky grin was slapped on his face that said he didn't care. "'Ey Jack, jus' a crazy suggestion but whaddaya say if I offered ta pay double fer the mutt ta stay with me an' Haru as a special pet of ours?" Now Jack said he was stubborn, Kamrin obviously didn't keep that in mind. ~~~~~~~~~~ Emily listened, trying her best not to let the negative thoughts take over her entire thought process. However much she wanted to refute Aponi's words, Emilia knew better than to do so out loud. Honestly she didn't remember her village having to gear up for war, or taking much stock in horses. However they did care dearly about their birds, even though they didn't pay as much respect to the caretakers of those birds as they should have. Being nudged in the shoulder, it was a surprise that the fidgety girl didn't jump, she almost expected to see Elan, instead she saw Gileth. Lifting a hand from the fret-board she gently pet his snout, smiling a little as she thought about what a good team that Aponi and Gileth really made. Then Aponi insisted that the frost-bite hadn't really hurt, Emilia knew that it was partially because the cold made the feeling go numb, but she did look up hopefully. That small expression of hope between the veil of stringy hair turned into curiosity and concern as Aponi continued. Then confusion, Aponi seemed to be extremely upset by the idea that she had snuggled up closer to Emilia, and being a shut-in, Emilia had no idea why that would be a reason for shame or embarrassment. Surely it was odd, for even the touch on her shoulder was a bit awkward to Emily, however she was having trouble conceiving the idea that Aponi had a crush on her. "..Unacceptable? A-Aponi I d-don't understand.." Now it was Aponi that was upset, drawing a lot of Emilia's concern. Also confusion, why would the girl be so upset and offer to stay away. "I d-don't want you t-to stay away.. I don't understand why.. you would.. J-just try not to t-t-touch me." That was the best solution that Emily could think of, that made sense and it wasn't hard to do. After all, Emilia went without coming into physical contact with other people pretty well. However at the thought, she paled, thinking about all of the feathered friends that sat on her shoulders. "...I need to learn to control my ability." Izaya fluttered onto a branch and glanced back, waiting for Makael. The timing was almost uncanny. Emilia glanced up at her feathered friend, but didn't beckon him closer, instead she looked at her guitar again and started strumming soft, gentle chords. "But most of us do..." She seemed to be talking to herself, honestly it helped the stammering. "Perhaps... Just being careless, treating this more like an adventure than a responsibility." Looking up suddenly at Aponi, her hazel eyes actually focused on the frail tribal girl. "I d-don't want to hurt y-you Aponi, and I d-don't want you to be af-afraid of m-me." She plucked from the high string to the low string, then ran her fingers down the fret board to rest on the body of her guitar, a smile appearing on her face. She pushed a few strands out of her face, leaving one eye unveiled. "W-we c-can work on it t-t-together.. W-with everyone else t-to.." Carefully she placed the strap of the guitar over her shoulder, avoiding catching Aponi's fingers under it. (( <.<; We can pretend that it took Makael a rather long time... xD I totally set that up in a fashion that Makael could show up if you wanted him to. )) |
Crim had a goofy grin on his face as he listened to Zephyr talk and nodded, clearly he wasn't bothered by the larger man departing earlier any longer. If he wasn't such an airhead he would have been thrown off by Zephyr's nuzzling, since Crim was the main one who snuggled the entire time, but he didn't really care too much to notice. He ran his fingers through his air partner's hair and it stayed in that position for some time before a realization struck his mind. |
