She smiled at him and hugged him tight.
"I would love to. Thanks for cheering me up. YOu always know just how to do that." She gave him a kiss on the lips standing on tiptoe. Not passionate just a simple kiss to test the waters and see how it went. |
Bel closed his eyes when he felt Alana press her lips to his and remained unmoving. He wanted to respond but he knew he couldn't. He didn't want to lead her on and then have everything end in disappointment, not for someone like her. He softly wrapped his arms around her and turned his head to the side to break the kiss before unfurling his wings and launching thmem both into the air. He kept his eyes trained carefully in front of him, not wanting to see whatever expression Alana had on her face as he was sure it would break his resolve.
|
She sighed as he did not kiss her back and then flew into the air with her. She figured he wouldn't do that. She just knew that she would never truly get him back. She closed her eyes. She remembered there childhood together and how much fun they had had. It would never be like that again. She just knew she would never be happy again.
Once again she started to cry. She couldn't control her tears. |
At the feeling of moisture he knew she was crying again. Because of him. Why had he come back? He'd been here for only a couple of hours and he'd made Alana cry at least three times now. He shouldn't have come back...no...his eyes darkened slightly, he would have come back anyway wouldn't he? Because he just couldn't let go of the damn past. He hadn't noticed the shadows his wings were casting on his back had started to wrap around his own torso until they almost reached Alana, and then he blinked and quickly stuffed all his anger back into the jar in the back of his mind and screwed the lid on tightly. No, he couldn't let his emotions get the better of him, not now. A soft sigh left his lips as the village came back into view and he touched down, wings closing and disappearing again, leaving a few black feathers that shined as if covered with blood. These fluttered slowly to the ground as Bel set Alana down. He inclined his head, "I will...go see your father now princess." he murmured and then walked off, pretending to not care about whether or not she would follow him. It would be best if she didn't. His eyes slid shut again and he could feel darkness collecting around him, darkness only he could see, threatening to swallow him up again.
|
She watched him leave and just stood there. She wondered where morgan was. She really needed to speak to him. She wondered exactly where he was at. She sighed and went to her home. She laid down on her bed and covered her head completely with the blanket and sobbed.
Tyler sat on his throne. He was king of this city and bored. He hoped that his daughter chose a husband soon. She had only a limited amount of time before she was going to be forced to wed who he chose. She had to understand that being a princess called for sacrifice. |
"Sire...you have a visitor." Bel rolled his eyes at the guard and stepped into the throne room, an apathetic expression on his face and only the thin line of his mouth could be seen from under his hood. This of course turned into a slight teasing smirk when he laid eyes on the king, daring him to say something.
|
Tyler growled as he saw Bel.
"Well look what the cat drug in. I thought you were gone permanantly Bel. What are you doing back? And at such a convinent time. You are not to mess with my daughter. I dont want her seeing you or knowing you are back. In fact I want you gone as soon as possible. You wont ruin my plans for her." He motioned for the guards to leave. |
"Well, isn't that just too bad?" Bel murmured in a almost half manic voice. He let his hood fall back finally to reveal the steely glint in his eyes even as he grinned like a maniac, letting a laugh slip from his lips. He fell backwards and into a seat that had materialized behind him, "Ive already seen the dear princess, and as for me disappearing..." He pretended to contemplate for a moment and then waved his hand languidly in a dismissive manner, "I'm afraid that won't be happening anytime soon."
|
Axel looked to the Golem and then looked at the sky to see that it was getting late. "Well it's not too far that way" he pointed in a direction. "Maybe we should gather up the princess and head there... It's very dangerous for a princess out here... especially at night when bandits roam around"
((Not exactly sure ><)) |
Tyler growled loudly and stood up drawing his sword.
"You will not interfear. If you mess up my daughters chance for happiness I will kill you. Do you understand me? I will slice you into pieces. I will make sure you dont ruin anyones life again." |
At that Bel burst out laughing again, "Really Tyler? You really expect to be able to kill me?" He suppressed the rest of his laughter and stood up calmly, raising a hand and continued smiling/smirking at the king while shadows collected around his hand, "And seriously speaking, sire, I am not the one ruining the princess' life."
|
Tyler growled loudly.
"What makes you say that? Who else is hurting my daughter besides you?" |
The elemental was right. It was getting late, and there would be no finding someone in a forest after nightfall. In addition he felt that the princess may be not wanting to return. They should probably look for her now while there was still light outside. There might even be bandits out here for all they knew.
"Agreed, we should find her first." |
Axel started out in one direction
"I think I saw her going this way" ((sorry couldn't think of much else ><)) |
"Then we should find her soon before it gets dark." Pholios said as he began to walk into the forest following Axel.
He looked through the forest, hoping to find her. He was hoping they would not be out too late. It was even possible she was already back in town without their knowledge. Perhaps they should consider that before they ventured much farther and risked losing the road they had. |
"Why don't you try reflecting a bit, hm?" Bel suggested. Then he shifted his hands so that they both gripped the pommel of his shadow sword, though he held this loosely. He yawned again, sleepily this time.
|
He growled and snapped his fingers. Suddenly a bunch of guards showed up and surrounded Bel.
"Leave now." |
Bel let an amused expression slip onto his face and let the sword drop from his hands, once again melting into shadows. "But of course." he answered and then he too scattered into the shadows, leaving a single feather behind, drifting to the floor in the spot he had once stood in.
|
Princess Alana sat in her room sobbing. She was so upset right now. She didnt know what to do. She wanted Bel. Thats all she cared about and she knew she would never have him.
|
((yeah I'm waiting for someone in the diner to respond here))

((Yes! A place for an unwanted self insert!))
Mathias wanted to set the vines on fire. They were uncomfortable and scaling the massive wall by clutching these thin vines was quite frankly nerve wrecking. He was an idiot to try to enter a more 'romantic' way. Well, actually this really wans't his plan; Matt thought he could just waltz right in but he recognized one of the ushers as the guy he had beaten up at a bar last month. No way he would be able to enter in the normal way. "This princess better be as hot as Bruce said she was or Ima gonna make him eat his damn peg leg," Matt muttered. Reaching the edge of the roof, Matt jumped to cling onto them. Shifting to the side inch by inch, Matthias finally reached the impressive looking balcony and jumped onto the ledge. "Well, if she's this rich then I guess it's ok if she looks like a troll," he said with a wicked grin. Approaching the french doors with glass panes, Mattias peered in and to his surprise, he saw the Princess inside instead of being downstairs in the ballroom. Sticking his head back outside quickly, he smoothes his clothes and patted his head which had been messily combed for the occasion. Taking a breathe to calm himself, Mathias walked back out to plain view and knocked on the door. "Princess Alana!" Matt called out, performing an awkward bow which he had practised in front of the Inn's cracked mirror and had deemed it good enough for any earl "Why so sad on your party day?" |
Bel had been casually strolling out the side gates when he heard the call, his eyes instantly darted to Alana's balcony and he frowned slightly, raising a hand. Then he stopped, Alana had the right to meet her suitors...but not in that way. He let his hand drop and opened his wings instead, flying up to the balcony where he landed on the railing without a sound, "If you are one of the princess' suitors you aren't supposed to be sneaking around just to see her." He said, his tone icy. He caught the other's question and his eyes hardened even further, turning darker than before, 'Because of me I'm afraid...' he thought warily. Then he hopped of the railing and onto the floor of the balcony, his movements fluid, while he kept his eyes trained on the other male.
|
Mathias glanced at the guy with the wings and stared at him cooly for a second, not registering the fact that this apparition was in fact real. When he did come to the conclusion, Matt jumped with surprise written all over his face and stood back to view the guy. Whoa, a...vampire? Nice bodyguard, really stiff and scary. "Easy man," he said with a nod ",I'm a suitor; just heard that she was in her room and wanted to stop by to get a look at her. You know how it is down there; too much of a crowd to be able to get close, right? Plus her choice of ushers are terrible." Shutting his mouth, Mathias realized he was just rambling. "Well, if visitors aren't allowed in the back, I guess I can go back..." Peering over the balcony's edge, Mathias comically grimanced as he looked down the five stories that he had went through the pains to scale up. Too bad evolution didn't award humans with wings like this guy. "Actually, I change my mind. Let's see what Alana says," Mathias muttered. What bad luck. Ok, plan...a decent plan...well, the moment this guy turns his head, Matt can just strike him and knock him out for the night. No, that wouldn't look good. Losing himself in thought, Mathias leaned against the railing and glanced at the door to wait for the poor girl to see two men outside her door. Don't scream. Please.
|
Bel folded his wings away and leaned lazily against the balcony, yawning yet again. "Down there? I wasn't aware that there was even a party going on." He murmured as he sunk to sit cross legged on the floor, propping his head in his open palm. "And those ushers you speak of, none of them were her choice." He watched as the guy looked over the edge of the balcony and couldn't help but chuckle darkly, "Scared of heights?" He yawned again and stretched his arms behind his head before letting them drop back into his lap to be covered up by his cloak. "Of course, as you wish.' He tugged his hood back up to cast shadows over his eyes and leaned back against the balcony railing. To anyone who didn't know him, it would look like he had fallen asleep.
