Lessa ran quickly through the woods. It was about midnight. Not a full moon so she was in human form. She carried a bow and arrows with her. Her outfit consisted of a white dress that flowed down past her knees. She wore a pair of boots made out of cloth. Her outfit was very soft and sensual and as she rushed through the woods it tightened up causing her body shape to be outlined. She smelled the air. Even in human form she could smell better than a human. She smelled a deer closeby and stopped. She walked slowly towards it and when she got behind a bush she readied her bow and arrows and shot it. She got it right in the heart. It died quickly and she went over to it.

She began to skin it slowly with a dagger she kept in her right boot. When she finished cleaning it she buried the deer meat in the ground and covered it with rocks so she could find it. She went to a nearby lake and dived in. She had taken off her clothes when she was cleaning the deer and they sat on the shore closeby. She had only one outfit and would hate to lose it.

James ran through the trees, his tongue hanging out as he enjoyed the wind in his fur. He let out a Howl as he felt the rush of the ground hitting his massive paws. Nothing compared to this feeling. He stopped smelling a definite female scent...and...MEAT!
Letting out another Howl he took off towards the smell coming to a halt behind a massive boulder and changed back to his human form, grabbing the clothes he kept in the bag he strapped to his leg when ever he transformed.

He quickly dressed, he was now wearing tan Dear-hide pants and a short sleeve shirt he had made. Smiling sharply he walked up to the water and crouched down staring at the female in the water. "Hello." He said with a grin.

Lessa opened her eyes when she heard a voice. She had just come to the surface and frowned a moment when she saw a male. She sniffed the air. He was a werewolf definitly. She stared at him a moment studying him.

"Hi. Can I help you?"

He was not unattractive looking and he smelled like he would be safe to be around. She wondered what he was doing in her territory though. It bothered her when people invaded her territory. She had worked so hard to claim it.

"I'm new here, I like this area...is it claimed?" James asked looking around still grinning. He wasn't grinning at her body, she wasn't attractive to him, sure she was cute, but he had imprinted before...she had died in child birth, and the child hadn't made it. His grin faltered for a few seconds as he relived the time, then it popped back up.

"Did you bury deer meat around here?" I can smell it and I'm starving, I've been running for twenty hours straight." He said sniffing the air as he closed his eyes and breathed in the scent of the area.

She looked at him a moment as she lifted herself out of the pool. She stood up dripping wet. She walked to her clothes and got dressed quickly. She was not shy or ashamed of her naked body. After being a werewolf for years she was so used to it. The transformations back to human unexpectedly.

She smiled at him over her shoulder.

"Sure you can have some its this way. As for the territory It belongs to me. I control a total of 20 acres. From 10 acres past this lake to the north all the way to ten acres to the south. I would be more than willing to share with you until you find your own territory. I am not as greedy as some."

She walked to her slain deer meat and undug it quickly.

"Do you perfer cooked or raw?"

James smiled and followed her. "Raw please." He said yawning a little. He was pretty tired after running for so long, but he wanted to talk to this female, she was a werewolf clearly, and she smelled great...almost like how Yuki had smelt. Closing his eyes he breathed her in, unaware that he had walked behind her and wrapped his arms around her and had his nose pressed against her shoulder and was breathing in her scent deeply.

She paused as she felt him wrap his arms around her. She wasent quite sure what to do about this.

"Is something wrong?"

She gently tried to unwrap his arms from around her. What was with the sudden change? It was like he totally forgot who she was and thought she was someone else. She was puzzled by this.

James froze and let go of her. His face, had it not it not been so tan, would have been bright red as he looked at her. "I.I.I'm sorry, your scent...reminded me of someone." He muttered stepping back a little. He looked her over again, she was quite pretty, but he had promised himself that he'd never fall for another woman and get hurt again. He had lost to much already.

She could sence his mental anguish. It was strange but she figured it would be best not to bother him about it. She barley knew him after all. It is wrong to try to get someone to tell you personal stuff when you dont even know them.

"So raw it is."

She pulled out a few strips and handed it to him. It was still semiwarm from being freshly slaughtered and the scent of it made her drool.

James thanked her with a smile and bit into the meat. The taste of the meat made his mouth water, he quickly devoured the meat and wiped his mouth.

"I'm James McKlain by the way." He said holding out his hand awkwardly.

She looked at his outstretched hand a moment. She took it in hers and shook it slowly. She was not completely used to touching another person. His hand felt warm in hers and it was very strange for her.

"I am Lessa."

She wasent quite sure how to explain that she had no last name. She was not a regular werewolf. She had come to be in an odd way.

James smiled and shook her hand, it felt warm, right. Like it had been made to be in his. Dropping it he stuck both hands in his pocket.

"Just Lessa?" He asked cocking his head to the side.

She figured he would be curious. She sat down on the ground and folded her arms around her knees.

"Well I am not a normal werewolf. I was a wolf my whole life until a friend of mine who was a demon needed some help. When she let me drink her blood it caused me to become a werewolf. I had to get a guy out of the way for her in order to let her be with the man she loved. So now although we are friends she goes her way and I go mine. So I kinda never had a last name."

She looked up at him with her green eyes hoping he wouldn't think she was loopy.

"Wow, that's a pretty cool story, better then mine, I was born this way I guess, all I know is that the night I turned 13, I began to sprout hair and grew into a giant wolf." He said laughing a little.

She laughed some as she listened to him talk. He had a nice voice. His appearance wasen't to bad either. She wondered about his past as he spoke.

"How old are you now? "

She wondered if she could get him to talk about the person she reminded him of. It bothered her when she couldnt ask a question straight out.

"Twenty three next month." He said standing proudly. He lied about his age, he had been around a few centuries, he was most likely somewhere around 200, but he looked 23-25 so he played off his looks.

He smiled down at her, she was so much like Yuki. "And you?" He asked laying down in front of her and crossing his arms behind his head.

She stared at him closely. He was so young for a werewolf. She was well over 200 and found it odd that anyone could be such a young wolf. She sighed. Now that she thought about it she had been young at one time.

"I look about 19 but I am really well over 200. My exact age is not known. I have never had a reason to keep track of it."

"OH good, I don't fell old for admitting I'm around 200." He said laughing. He closed his eyes, full and content with the fresh meat. "So, what do you usually do?" He asked cracking an eye open.

She laughed a bit.

"If he kept on asking her questions then she would never get a chance to ask him what she wanted to."

She thought for a moment about what she did.

"I just try to stay away from the humans and keep alive."

James nodded and closed his eyes again.

"I see."

He yawned a little and opened both of his bright blue eyes and stared at the sky.

She smiled at him as she gathered up the rest of her meat. SHe put it in her bag. She headed towards her cave slowly. She turned to him a moment.

"Would you like to come to my home? At least until you rest up a little bit?"

James hesitated and stood.

"Sure." He said following her. This girl was odd, she was defiantly wanting to say something...but she wouldn't.

"What are you hiding?" He asked standing next to her.

She looked at him a moment with a frown. She wanted to ask him so badly but she was worried about it.

"Well I was curious about the person that you know that I reminded you of."

She continued to walk to her cave slowly. She knew they would get there soon and they would be ok.

James sighed and ruffled his hair.

"My wife...she died in childbirth, along with my son." He said softly as he followed her to her cave.

He blinked back a few tears thinking about it and wiped his eyes. "Sorry." He muttered feeling weak crying in front of her.

She looked at him with a sad expression.

"I am sorry. I didnt mean to bring up something that would hurt you so badly. I was just really curious."

She kept walking quickly and stopped in front of her cave.

"Your welcome to stay as long as you want."
