Serena picked Max up as Sereaphina flew out of the house and laid him on her bed. She was glad that he had come into her life, however unexpectantly it happened. This young fairy made her feel happy in a way that she never felt before. She smiled at him, sat on the edge of the bed, and gently started petting his hair. He was a little brother and son at the same time. She hoped that they'd be able to be together for awhile, she cared for him. He brought a sense of peace into her heart.

Fallish stared at the ice tree for some time now, and realizing that the boy and the dragon were not going to harm Serena, she flew around above the ice tree. Phen was glad to be reformed, and he two of them created a graceful dance of flames in the sky, being sure that none of it melted the tree below. The dance was one the water fairies had taught her, only they did it under water or with streams of water in the sky. It was a dance of peace, a dance that was to soothe doubts and fears. Fallish had none at the present time, but simply wished to dance with Phen.

jay looked at the girl with a smile. "I would love to if you don't mind!"

Serena flew out of her home and up to converse with Fallish, feeling sad that she couldn't be invited in. She spotted the fairy dancing with her fire bird. She smiled and rushed forward, tackling Fallish with a gigantic hug. "Thank you so much!" Serena exclaimed "Thank you for protecting my home from the storm. You put my mind at ease. You are the best friend ever!" she cheered and pulled her into a hug again.

Fallish was startled by the hug, since she never gave hugs for fear of burning people, but Serena didn't seem to be bothered by it. She returned the hug and smiled, happy she could help her best friend, "Not a problem. Storms don't bother me at all. Gives me a chance to use some of my extra energy actually." Maybe that's why she's not being burnt...I don't know. It was hard for her to find answers for these questions when she didn't know any other fire fairies, but she didn't linger on that for too long. She let go of Serena, still smiling, and waved toward the current guests of the ice tree. "Hello!" She said to them.

Serena simply hugged the girl. "We make quite an interesting pair don't we? Fire and ice, complete opposites and yet, you're my best friend!" she pointed out to her dearest friend, smiling brightly at her.

Fallish laughed. She did that a lot when others were near, but she didn't even think about the fact that her best friend was an ice fairy. "Absolutely! And as long as I'm around, you wont have to worry about a thing!" She gave a funny salute, as a way of saying "I promise" without saying the words. She didn't say "I promise" unless she knew for a fact she could keep it no matter what. Btu who knew what would happen, so she didn't say it often.

"The same goes for me, of course... what I could protect to from I have no clue... perhaps I could freeze a lake if you were falling in or something... but then you'd just melt it and we'd be back to the very beginning... oh dear. Well, the intention is there, even if the skill isn't" Serena said with a giggle. She suddenly decided what to do. She grabbed Fallish's hand and pulled her into her home. "It's only iced on the outside, on the inside it's just cold. So you don't have to worry about melting anything" Serena said with a bright smile. She glanced over at Max and noticed that he was still asleep, she smiled gently at the youung fairy.

Fallish was worried, but with Phen outside using her energy, she didn't worry but so much. Although Serena said it was cold, Fallish couldn't feel it. Her inner fire was warmer than anyone else's she's ever met, so she tended to warm up everything around her. She noticed the boy was wrapped up in a blanket, so she walked a little closer to him, hoping to not melt the entrance but also to warm him up with the energy she gives off. "So, who is he?" Since she was outside the whole time, she didn't know anything about the boy or his pet.

"Get in here, it's not going to melt" Serena said as she pulled her best friend further into the home "His name is Max, beyond that I'm not sure who he is. He crashed in here during the storm and he broke his wing. I've basically adopted him as a little brother, but he's so young, sometimes I wonder if should've adopted him as a son instead. I don't mind, he's really adorable. His wing didn't even faze him when he broke it. He's really adorable" Serena said, brushing a lock of Max's hair away from his face.

Fallish smiled at how Serena cared for the boy, even if she only knew his name. "Max, huh? Nice name for such a small kid." Fallish couldn't remember her parents, but seeing how Serena treated Max reminded her of the water fairies that had adopted her so long ago. She missed them, but decided to not think on it too much. She sat near the boy, and stared at the dragon. "And this would be?" Fallish asked, pointing at the little pet.

"Ah... that's Seraphina... a dragon. Strange little thing, I'd never heard of one before, but she's very loyal to Max and rather adorable as well. She's a compelte mystery to me, but the longer I know her, the more I learn about her" Serena explained, rubbing Seraphina behind her ears.

Fallish happily watched the three, again thinking about the place she had once called home. She laid down, not realising how much energy she had used and was still using keeping Phen formed. Even in sleep, Fallish kept Phen formed. As a result, she quickly fell asleep.

Serena smiled at her best friend and her "brother" she cared so much for the two. She rubbed Seraphina's head again and waited for one of them to wake up.

Seraphina purred contently as she was petted and dropped the small bag. Its contents spilled out as it fell. The bag itself was fairly old looking and it looked to have been patched up a few times. spilling out from the bag were a multitude of things that seemed to come from everywhere. Three small books were among the things that rolled out, a bunch of pencils in different colors, some shells, a fire rock, a feather with a dark pearly rainbow shine to it and some pieces of what seemed to be at one time a pearl white egg or some such.

The first of the books that laid open showed many dried leaves and flowers from different parts of the forest that Max had been to at one time. The page it laid opened on was sporting several small dried pink petals and a piece of black bark. The second laid closed, but showed a title and a picture of some sort; a story book. The last book also laid open. This one was showing hand drawn pictures with short sentences beneath it. One of the pictures opened at that moment showed a large tree with pink petals that fell like snow. Under it there was a small bit of text.
Saw a tree. It was black and pink. It was pretty. Petals fell, like slow rain. I liked it.

Max stirred in his sleep and curled up more as he mewled softly in his sleep. Seraphina quickly abandoned being petted and laid down curling her body around the sleeping boy and nuzzling his hair gently. A soft shuddering sigh left Max's lips before he settled down again.

Serena smiled gently at Max and petted his hair. She was quiet as possible as she cleaned up the contents of Max's bag and put them away, then she began straightening up her home. She looked back at the two most important people in her life and smiled I've been blessed with these wonderful people. I am so glad I strayed fromm the norm and came here... otherwise I would not have met them, she thought to herself.

Fallish dreamed. She dreamed of water, and of fire, of life and of death. There was no set order to the chaos of her mind. She tried to follow the images, but her nightmare was intensifying her energy. Luckily, Phen was outside absorbing that energy, while still leaving enough for her to recover.

Serena smiled at the two, made sure they were still asleep, then flew outside to re-freeze her ever-melting tree. Such a silly thought to live in this warm enviroment. I must be silly to freeze a tree... but... it's worth it, she thought as her mind wandered to the sleeping fairies inside her home.

((Hi all! Sorry it's taken me so long to post D: Just sort of got dragged away from the thread. But I'm here now and I intend on RPing! So yeah :D I'm assuming night time, if that's okay with everyone. If not, I can re-write the post :yes:))

Core stood in the center of a small clearing in the forest. The crickets sang in the background and fireflies glittered in the air. The night was clear, warm, and still. Core had seen some other fairies, but she never went over to them. She didn't really want to at the time. But now she felt alone.
Core closed her eyes and looked up to the full moon that glowed down on her. She felt filled with energy and smiled a sad smile. The moon was the only friend she knew.
Core picked her arms up and pointed her right foot. She picked herself up on her toes, bent her knee, jumped, twirled, and took off into the night. The little black and purple sparkles fell off her as she danced in the air. Her wings moved smoothly and kept her afloat. It was then she let her voice loose.
The music that poured out of Core's mouth was beautiful, anyone would have to admit. But it was a sad and lonely tune. And it was sung in a language known only to Core and a few other chosen, darker fairies. Her voice sounded like there were three different fairies singing, each in a different tune of harmony. Core only sung when it was just her and the moon. She sang when she was alone.
Core sang of her sorrows, and of what she wished she could have. A friend. Someone to speak with other than the moon. Someone you might talk back. Just something, so that she wouldn't feel so dang alone.
