He watched her as she left off towards the waterfall. As he saw her go off, he couldn't help but notice how beautiful she looked with the sun's ray reflecting off the water shined on her. She went off to go explore the waterfall as if she's never seen one before. Maybe her clan was the type to be not close to these sort of areas if she's never seen one. He shrugged off the thought after Aaralyn called him to join her. He smiled and flew to her direction as well.
As he was above the water now, Louis decided to take a swim into the water. He began to gather the sun's light again and formed a light aura around his body. He then dove into the water with a quick splash. As he was swimming in the water, the light aura that he formed around him prevented him from getting his whole body getting wet and to freely explore in the water as if he was flying in the air. You see, Louis can not swim or rather he can not get his whole body wet because of his wings. His wings also help him absorb the sun light to give him power but if they were to be damage not only could that make Louis lose all of his power but it might kill him as well. Water isn't that powerful enough to hurt his wings but Louis gets nervous about the face that he might disappear if his wings were slightly damaged. The wings are tough, so they don't get hurt too easily; its just Louis's precaution that takes him over when it comes to making sure he doesn't get hurt. |
Aaralyn's wings were built quite differently. They were made for the water, as well as the rest of her body. She could even breathe underwater, so she could stay under as long as she liked. She laughed as she put her hands over her head and dove right in to the cool, clear water. Her wings helped her glide effortlessly and quickly through the water, cutting through it like a blade. She laughed underwater as she saw Louis follow her lead. She looked back at him and grinned and waved before swimming past him over to the waterfall. "Is there anything behind the waterfall? I heard that sometimes there can be caves!" Said Aaralyn underwater, her voice sounding completely normal.
|
Though Louis heard her clearly, light armor prevented him from being able to communicate with her underwater. He can breathe and he can talk within the armor but outside of it acted as if he had a sound barrier on. He first gave an expression showing him trying to remember if there was. His expression then quickly lite up and he nodded back to her. He then caught up to her and pointed up above the water, showing her that he's going back up. As the two came out of the water and next to the fall, finally answered her, "Yes there is! The reason why this place is called Rai's Waterfall is because behind the waterfall there's a cave that leads to a golden statue of Rai, the Sun god. Want to go check it out?
|
Aaralyn followed him to the surface so that he could talk to her. Upon hearing of what was behind the waterfall, her eyes lit up again in excitement. "Yes! Let's go!" She said excitedly, grabbing Louis by the wrist. She flew with him in tow to the waterfall. She decided to fly straight through it. She let the water hit her, but right before she pulled Louis through, she moved her free hand in a lifting motion towards the waterfall, parting the water so that Louis wasn't touched. She landed in the cave, letting go of Louis' wrist as she looked around in awe. "Cool!" She said, but then she gasped, puting her hands over her mouth and hopping back in surprise when her voice echoed back to her. Her back bumped into Louis' chest, and she leaned on him a bit as she looked around, confused by the echo. She'd never heard one before.
|
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, WHOA!!" Louis freaked out when Aaralyn began to pull him into the waterfall. Since he got out of the water he had to take off his light armor to speak. He closed his eyes at the moment when Aaralyn used her water power to part the water apart so that he wouldn't get wet. As the two landed in the cave, Louis was still closing his eyes, waiting for him to get wet. But he then opened them up quickly when Aaralyn yelled 'Cool!' outloud. She backed up surprised by the echo and bumped into Louis, snapping him out of his fear of getting wet.
He then lightly laughed to himself and gave a sigh of relief, "Haha, what's wrong? You scared of you're own voice?" Louis patted her on the back then walked in front of her. "HELLO!!" He yelled as loud as he can as his voice then echoed down the cave. He laughed at his own voice, which his laughter echoed as well. "It's a bit dark, isn't it?" He said, turning back to Aaralyn, "Here, let me fix that." He then looked at the ground to find a small stone. As he found a size that fit his whole palm, he used his light power to turn the stone into a glowing object, a perfect flashlight for the cave. "Ready?" Louis turned back to Aaralyn. |
Aaralyn blinked in cautious confusion, looking from the depths of the cave, over her shoulder to Louis, lowering her hands from her mouth to fold in front of her chest warily. "Why does it do that?" She asked, meaning the echo. It was such a strange phenomena to Aaralyn, since she had lived under water her entire life where echos didn't exsist. She watched as Louis took a rock and used his power to make it glow. It made her feel a bit better to have the light.
|
Guiding the way he answered back to her, "Hm? You mean the echo? Umm...It's because we're in an enclosed area. Basically our voices are creating a sound that's making them bounce around since the walls are so together. Just like this in a way."
Louis then increased the glow on the stone which began to reflect all over the cave walls, making the area as if they're walking in cave made out of gold. The light shine everywhere eliminating the darkness. "See," Louis said, "This is what our voices are doing in a way. I hope I explained that well." Louis then dimmer the light back to its original state. He wondered why she didn't know what an echo was. Maybe she didn't go out so often. |
"An... Echo?" Aaralyn muttered softly, looking around at the cave when Louis explained what it was. She blushed deeply, embarassed by the fact that she was so sheltered. She quickly jogged to keep up with him. Once she fell into step next to him, she lightly wrapped her arms around his arm - the one that wasn't holding the glowing rock - a bit nervously. Aaralyn was fine with caves, in fact she loved to explore the sea-floor caves that she would occassionally find back home, but the new echo thing had spooked her a bit, and wasn't sure what else to expect with the land cave.

He nodded, still seated on the back of Markuto. Xanadias was more interested in Cora than Fallish, as Dark fairies seemed rarer. This was the first time he encountered another. "Does the forest make you uncomfortable? Most of the elements around here are a mixture of Earth, Light, Wind, and Water...it seems rare to see Fire or Darkness." |
"Hm?" Louis looked down to Aaralyn who quietly wrapped her arm around him. He was confused at first, but judging by the look on her face it seems that she isn't use to the echo in the cave. He blushed a little for her getting close to him but smiled to her, "It might take sometime to get use to if you're not new to these kinds of areas, but I assure you that everything will be okay."
He continued to guide her way and hold her hand as they continued down the long cave. Finally after walk for sometime, a soft light could be seen at the end of the cave. "We're almost there," Louis said, "And don't worry; once we make it over there it'll be much brighter than here." |
Aaralyn bushed and quickly let go of Louis' arm. "S-Sorry! I'm just not really used to it. We don't really have echoing caves where I come from." She admitted sheepishly, careful not to say too much about her home. Aaralyn didn't want Louis - or anyone for that matter - to know about her past. About her being a run-away princess from the castle in the far-off sea. She didn't want anyone to know, for fear of them turning her in. Aaralyn refused to return to that suffocating place. Her gaze directed itself over to the light at the end of the cave, and she started walking a bit faster, anxious to see the end and get to the light.
|
The two then made it out of the cave together, and what a display it was for them. The room was wider and bigger than the hall that they were in. The ceiling was cracked and covered by debris from the forest but the sun's ray still shined through making the room brighter. And there at the center of the room was a giant golden statue of what looks like a loin roaring out loud with hawk wings spread out. The lights that were able to go through the debris shined down on the statue, reflecting them every across the room.
"Here he is," Louis said as they approached closer to the statue, "The Sun God, Rai." |
Fallish thought for a moment before answering, "Well, I just like the forest I guess." She smiled all the time, but her smile became more sad as she remembered her past, her home, her family...Best not to involve others. One clan of water fairies is enough. I should really pay them a visit soon... She closed her eyes, hoping her smile was a happy one.
|
Aaralyn looked up at the statue in awe, circling it to take it all in. "Wow... It's really cool!" She said, smiling at Louis. "How did you ever find such an amazing place?" She asked, walking really close to Louis.
|
Cora looked at the guy after Fallish answered. "Its fun here. You can do whatever you want and be able to hide easily if it wasnt what somebody else likes..." She looked around at the others and started to think of what it was like where her home was. It was gloomy and full of fighting. There didnt seem to be any life there because it was so depressing. Being in a place where everything was full of life and not as crowded was soo much better in her eyes.

(HI...i really am sorry for just jumping in like that. and that i didnt log in for so long.i had some local problems that needed time fixing. Anyways im really grateful for not kicking me out..^^ )
"Whoa" Azek whistled. A frozen tree in the middle of lush green forest. He had never seen anything like it. Every bark sparkled against the rays of the sun like a defiance against nature itself. It's been a week now in this unknown realm and Azek still found himself suprised. He had heard other voices, discussing in various places, saw them too. But he haven't showed himself. His long imprisonment was to thank for that. HE himself was a little uneasy with the changes in himself. He had gone so far from the once guiless and naive rain fairy he was. ANd he had to..after what he had done. The next day found him right back to the tree. And this time he was able to see the ice fairy refreezing the tree. with her were several others one of which was a fire fairy, naturally standing a way off. And suddenly she wished to know the brave soul of someone who can fight the odds. And he did like ice. (^^) |
"Well," Louis began to explain," This statue was found by my clan, the Light Fairies, from a long, long time ago. Apparently when this statue was found by fairies with no elemental ability, Rai then blessed the fairies and gave them the power of light. So this place is sort of an important origin for the Light fairies since if it weren't for Rai we would not have these abilities today."
"You can say that I would have been quite useless if it weren't for Rai," Louis said bashfully while scratching his head, "I really am glad I was born a Light Fairy..." Louis then gazed at the statue of Rai and closed his eyes in front of it. He then mumble some small pray in his clan's language which translated, 'Bless thy God for giving us strength and power.' |
Aaralyn wanted so badly to touch the statue of the godly creature, but she thought that it would be a sign of disrespect. So instead, she folded her hands in front of her and bowed to the statue respectfully. She stayed quiet as Louis said his prayer. "It truely is magnificient." She said once he was finished. Aaralyn wanted so badly to share with him the god of her people, but alas, she couldn't bring herself to do it. If she did, then he'd know instantly where she was from, and from there, he might find out that she was a princess. For her god was none other than Poseidon, god of the seas.
|
"Yes, I agree," Louis answered back to her. He then noticed that she seemed to be interested in the statue as well. "...Would you like to touch it?" Louis gave a guess and smiled to her.
He then flew up next to the statue and began petting the head of it. "You can touch it if you want. It's not like Rai would strike you or something." He laughed to himself. "Say..." Louis now grew curious about Aaralyn, "I don't really know much about you ever since I've been blabbering about myself. Where were you from again? Which water clan?" Louis started to ask questions one after another. |
Aaralyn smiled and flew up with Louis, touching the great beast's wings with her fingertips. Then her heart skipped a beat in slight panick as he asked about her. Where she was from. What water clan she was from. "Um, well... My clan lives very far away from here. You probably haven't heard of them." She said, waving her hand dismisively, not looking him in the eye. "Besides, I'm not really all that interesting anyway."
|
Maybe i should just show myself and save me the agony of waiting and hiding. they do look friendly.Azek thought.
MAking up his mind he flew up behind the tree and landed on it. Really cold, but he didn't mind. It was as cold as the flood he had created but everlastingly warmer than the skin of dead man. |
"Aw, come on now," Louis said as flew beside Aaralyn now, "give me a shot; let me see if I know your clan. I only know some of the clans that live in my area so maybe I won't know. But it'd be cool to hear them."
"Plus you are very interesting, Aaralyn," Louis continued, "Like I said, it's my first time seeing a six-winged fairy. For all I know that could mean you have more power than an average fairy. Maybe I should as my clan about that..." Louis then pondered off about having six-wings on himself. "How about a God or Goddess?" He asked her another question, "Do you have one that your clan believes in? Or, how about a favorite food? Mine are raspberries and apples" Louis was the type to get a little nosy about a person he wants to find out more about, but he should learn not to get into people's business all the time. But ah well, that's just his nature any who. |
Aaralyn couldn't bring herself to look at him as she nibbled on her lower lip nervously. Well, he did seem rather sheltered, and her homeland was very far away from this forest. Maybe he wouldn't know.... "Indecarta. My last name is Indecarta." Aaralyn said softly, looking at Louis, studying him for any type of reaction to the name. Anyone who was knowledgable about the water fairies would know that it was the name of the royal family of the fairies of the western sea. Very top-of-the-food-chain type of clan.
|
"In-de-car-ta?" Louis started to pronounce the name out lound. He's heard of this name somewhere; other water clan members that were his friend told him about a vast area called the 'Ocean' where Sea-water Fairies lived. The last name 'Indecarta' was said from one of the fairies about being an 'important figure' to the clan. Possibly meaning...
"...That's a really hard name to say," Louis said back to her while chuckling, "My last name is Iera if you wanted to know." Louis didn't give off any sign of confusion or shock to Aaralyn. What he thought could have been wrong, but what he thought could be true. The chances of Aaralyn, the six-winged fairy before him, was a royal-classed fairy. But...that didn't matter to Louis, nor did he gave it a second thought about it. Because regardless if a fairy was low or high class he treated them all with respect. |
Aaralyn blinked, her eyes widening in surprise. "So... You haven't heard of the name Indecarta before?" It was safe to say that she was pleasently surprised. She wanted to answer his questions, and she didn't want to lie, but she also didn't want anyone to find out that she was a run-away princess, whom was still being looked for. Aaralyn didn't want to go back, and she didn't know if Louis would turn her in or not, so she wasn't taking any chances.
