Appearance: Average height and build; light brown hair drawn back in a short braid; brownish-green eyes that always look like they're thinking about things; carries a long, thin dagger.
History: Nightsong was always a quiet boy growing up, though he regularly helped out if needed. He rarely speaks up, instead analysing things quietly, trying to solve problems. He can be quick if he needs to, but prefers to go at an even pace that conserves energy.

Name: Eleanor
Race: Fairy
Gender: Female
Appearance: Emerald green eyes and brunette hair tied up in pig-tails with curly strands of hair in front. Wears a little green skirt and a halter top, with no shoes. Has wings similar to a dragon fly. This is what she usually wears in the forest, because her dominant element is earth. But she is one of the only fairies that can use any element, and when she does, her entire outfit, wings, and eyes change to the color corresponding to the element. She is only a few inches tall, about length of an oak leaf.
History: She is usually very perky and talkative. She says everything that pops into her head, and has no self control. She has lived in the forest her entire life, and ever since the other fairies were captured, she has been hoping for someone to come help her. Her mood also changes depending on what element is dominant at the moment.
Her element can change for several reasons. She can change it manually, usually in battle. Extreme mood changes can change her element. For example, if something happened that caused her to get extremely angry, her element would change to fire. Lastly, her element will change to adapt to her surroundings. She lives in a forest, therefore her main element is earth. If the forest were to catch on fire, she would switch to fire, ect.

There are 4 elements:
Fire: Red. Anger, hate, or lust.
Water: Blue. Depression, sadness.
Air: White. Content, calm.
Earth: Green. Happiness, perky, or talkative.

It was too noisy in the town. Nightsong finished his food, then left. At least it was quiet in the forest.

Nightsong was used to walking; it gave him time to think. For that reason, even though he was technically going a long way, he didn't have a horse with him. He knew how to ride, but preferred not to.

Something caught Nightsong's eye. He paused, and leaned in closer to the foliage, trying to figure out what it was.

Eleanor was rustling around in the bushes, trying to get comfortable on a leaf. She was about to take her nap. She closed her eyes, and tried to fall asleep, but something was bothering her. She had a feeling as if she was being watched. She opened her eyes to find a strange man staring at her.

"AAAAAAAHH!!!" She screamed in surprise.

Nightsong stood up quickly in surprise, but quickly calmed down. He hadn't seen a fairy in a while. Come to think of it, they had been strangely absent...He watched the fairy curiously, wondering what she would so next.

Realizing it was only a human, Eleanor stopped screaming.

"Jeez!! Don't stare at people, it's rude! I thought you were one of them!"

Nightsong raised an eyebrow. '"Them"?' he said, in his soft voice.

Eleanor looked around, making sure no one was around. "We call them Cei rai, or evil ones. They captured all the fairies when we had our annual meeting. I'm sure they killed some of them as well." She started tearing up. "That was one week ago, but I've been too helpless and weak to go help them...."

Nightsong couldn't help but empathise with her. Sighing internally, knowing he was getting himself involved in something he probably shouldn't, he held down his hand for her to climb on.

Wiping away her tears, Eleanor climbed up onto Nightsong's hand. "thank you, sir." She smiled up at him.

Nightsong lifted the fairy up and placed her on his shoulder. 'Can you show me where to go, little fairy?' he asked her.

"Hey! I have a name, you know. Its Eleanor." She lightened up a bit. "But you can call my Ele." Eleanor smiled up at Nightsong, but then got serious. "I'm not sure where their base is...We'll have to search around a bit.

Nightsong nodded once. 'Show me where they disappeared from.'

Eleanor led Nightsong through the forest, untill they reached a large open area, with a pool of water in the middle. There were black spots on the ground, where it looked like the grass had been burned up. "This was where the gathering was held. We were having a merry time, when they just appeared, attacking us. We tried to hold them off, but they outnumbered us. Everyone but me was captured, and taken that way." Eleanor pointed towards a bundle of shadowy trees.

Nightsong glanced at the area and walked over to it. His eyes wandered as he walked through it, picking up any and all signs that someone had been through there.

"Ever since I was a child, we've been told never to go through those woods, or even look at them. Now I know why..."

Nightsong only nodded. He continued looking.

Eleanor raised an eyebrow. "Not much of a talker, are you?"

Nightsong shook his head. He knelt down and felt a shoe impression in the soil.

"Hmph. Fine. I can be quiet too." Eleanor crossed her arms across her chest. But after a few moments of silence, she looked over at Nightsong. ".....What are you looking at?"

'Tracking,' Nightsong said. He stood up and continued walking, but slowly.

"Oh. Haha, I so knew that!" Eleanor blushed, embarrassed that she couldn't figure out such a simple thing. Then, realizing that Nightsong was walking deeper into the forest, she looked around frantically, making sure no cei rai were around. "You'd better be careful! This is their part of the forest, you know."

Nightsong nodded at her warning. He drew the knife from it's spot on his thigh and held it in one hand as he walked.

Eleanor was already feeling safer, now that her companion had his knife out. "So...What brings you to this lonesome forest?" Eleanor tried to make small talk.

'Just travel,' Nightsong said.
