Jaruk watched as the girl finally managed to calm herself and rise to her feet. At her warning he merely nodded, already knowing what she was referring to. He followed her gaze over to the sword and watched as she walked to it. "Be careful..." Jaruk winced slightly at the sword as its aura flared up upon contact with Aaralyn. It had such an immense dark energy it almost made it hard for him to breath. However, he rose quickly as he saw the flames begin to encircle her and reached out without thinking. Luckily, he caught himself before he touched her, knowing he would only cause more harm than good. He waited until he saw the aura dissipate and the feeling of dread finally leave his stomach. Looking upon Aaralyn frowning face, his senses had already confirmed what she had said. "That is not a good sign...I can only imagine how hard it might be to break that bond. Where did you acquire such an evil weapon?..." He wished that he had felt it sooner, but it seemed being only half of a race had worked against him yet again. Now it seemed he had another task. There was now way he'd allow the sword to stay connected to Aaralyn, so he would find a way to undo it.

Aaralyn sighed and strapped the sword back onto her belt. As she was doing so, she debated on if she should tell Jaruk the truth or not. When she was finished strapping it back onto her belt, she decided to tell him the truth. He deserved to know the truth. "Well..." She hesitated, biting her lower lip. Then she sat on the bed and smiled sheepishly. "I kinda... took it when I ran away from home. " She admitted, looking down at the sword and tracing the flamed patterns on it. "I remembered the old tales that my father had told me about this sword, and I knew that it was powerful, but I didn't realize to what extent." She smiled up at Jaruk, putting her hands in her lap. "This sword is far older than even my great grandfather."

Jaruk scratched his head lightly as he took in what she had to say. "I must admit I would not have guessed you'd stolen the cursed artifact. I suppose the world works in strange ways." He shook he head then let out a soft sigh, looking to the sword at her hip once more before looking to Aaralyn. "Thank you for telling me the truth though. It isn't much to go on, but that may be a clue to getting you unconnected with that...thing." It wasn't just some sword, he could tell that much. It almost felt alive when its aura flared up and those kinds of weapons were the worst kinds. A memory flashed in his mind about a time when one of his clan had brought a cursed weapon back to his village. Within a weeks time the Orc had become crazed and blood-thirsty with no regard for others or himself. Taking the weapon away from him only made him worse and it didn't break the bond. Ultimately, the poor Orc had to be put down. He wouldn't allow that to happen to Aaralyn. "Well, it seems our journey has some direction now. We'll need to find a way of breaking that bond you now hold with the sword." Still feeling weary from exhaustion and now from the evil sword's presence, Jaruk rose and went back to his seat to sit down. "Is there anything else you remember about the sword that may shed some light on how to fix what happened?"

Aaralyn nodded. "I remember the whole story that my father told me." She took a deep breath and began to tell the tale. "The sword is called 'The Sword of Black Fire' for rather obvious reasons." She said, tapping on the patterns welded into the handle of the sword with her index finger. "It was forged many eons ago by my people, infused with a srange magic. Nobody knows what kind of magic however, as the knowledge of it has been burried deep in the past. It was created for the king - my ancestor - in times of war when the elves were in jepordy of being wiped out. The magic was made to protect its master from any harm, that way, the king would live on as long as he had the sword. He passed it down through generations and generations, and the sword bonded with every one of my ancestors once its previous master had passed on. However, my great great grandfather decided not to take the sword, and instead, sealed it away in its own seperate chamber in the armory. We're not exactly sure why he did it, but it's been there ever since. Well, until now that is." Aaralyn mumbled, looking down at the sword, then she looked back up at Jaruk. "Oh! And as far as I know, the only way for the bond to break is for the sword's master to.. um... well... die."
