(OOC – If I do anything OOC, it will be in parenthesis and labeled as such. I will try to stay in character as much as possible. I will start with more details about my character. I will create a post after I see the details about your character. I did want your input on one detail though – would you prefer starting as if our characters are just meeting, or acting as if our characters have been together for a while?)

Name: Thomas Vanders
Age – 123
Height – 6 ft
Weight – 190
Hair – Brown (cut shorter than the picture provided)

Thomas’ story:

Thomas Vanders was born into a position of luxury. His parents had made a fortune, and catered to his whims. Thomas became accustomed to getting whatever he wanted. But after a while, Thomas became slighted bored with the lack of challenge. He found his excitement in taking risks and going to places where he was not known. Thomas was school smart, but not street smart, and he was doing what he could to change it.

On Thomas’s 23rd birthday, all of that changed. Thomas knew he was in a seedy part of town. But he walked the streets with his “silver-spoon-in-mouth” confidence. Thomas never saw the vampire. By the time Thomas knew the vampire was there, it was far too late. The vampire was on his neck. Thomas slipped into darkness.

Being a vampire had advantages. Thomas now had new powers, and could affect others. For a while, Thomas had fun with it, making others do his bidding. But after a while, Thomas yearned for challenges. He limited his use of his powers. Thomas never shied from hiding his vampiric nature. He was a vampire.

Thomas' attitude towards women -- Once again, Thomas had fun with his powers in the beginning. Having women fawn over him was fun, making women do anything and everything. Now, Thomas wants something else. He wants a woman that he did not force into his arms.

[That's entirely up to you~ I prefer that you post first, though...]

Name: Aurora Pecador
Age: 21
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 128
Hair color: Blonde
Eye color: Red

----

Aurora's Story:

Aurora was born and raised in Brazil. She was raised in a rich family herself, and was very used to the finer things in life. She is very promiscuous and playful, though she also has the potential to be very lethal. She has been known, when upset or excited, to speak in Portuguese.

From age nine to present, Aurora is versed in the art of Capoiera. She has been considered a master of such, and is often seen wearing a rope belt of several different colors. The rope is knotted at her right hip and the ends dangled to her knees.

Aurora isn't easily intimidated, but she harbors a certain discomfort around Vampires. Especially since they have outed themselves.

Aurora's attitude towards men/vampires ---

Aurora's attitude towards men is what you would expect of someone like herself. She often teased and toys with them, urging what she wants out of them with mere movements of her body. As for her attitude around vampires, it is very different. Aurora has a certain fear of the creatures, knowing well what they are capable of. Though, she will converse and interact with a vampire, her promiscuous ways are often dulled by their presence.

(OOC - I think it will be much more interesting if we meet for the first time in character, and go from there :) We'll start in Rio De Janiero)

Dusk came. Thomas Vanders stretched out of his coffin, carefully placed in a private by his retainers. He enjoyed travelling, and had come to Rio to conduct some business. But there was still plenty of time before hard work. Thomas choose to wear a well pressed tuxedo this evening. The weather was warm, but that did not bother him. He was a vampire. Thomas did not hide his pale skin. His eyes glowed a slight purple in color as he stepped out and into the streets. Thomas took in the scene, noticing everything. He took in a deep breath, smelling the blood of those nearby. Thomas enjoyed the smell, even though he had made sure he had fed thoroughly before getting on the private plane to Brazil. New smells were always exciting. Thomas knew his Portugese was only beginner level, but that did not bother him as well. Few people dared to try and anger a vampire.

Thomas started his walk into the streets. He wanted to see other people's reactions to him. There was still several hours before he had to meet his business contact.

[Deal~]
Aurora always enjoyed the evening more so than she did the day. People were more open at night. Probably because people were often drunk and some even desperate. She had moved from Brazil to live permanently in America, but it didn't hurt to visit her homeland every now and then, she thought. Vampires were always distinct characters here, and they stood out like a sore thumb, so she often knew where to be and where not to be. She didn't see any directly, and she had finally allowed her attention to be averted by something else. She was dressed in a white halter top and a pair of blue jeans that hung very low on wide hips. She was an amazingly beautiful Brazilian if anything. Her abdomen was toned and her frame could only be described as sinful.

After spending a minute or so studying the merchant she turned around only to set eyes on what was unmistakably, a Vampire. She felt all of the muscles in her body tense and lock up, and all she could do was observe him advancing. Vampires were gorgeous creatures, creatures of the night. But they were dangerous and deadly, and the mere thought of such sent a visible tremor down Aurora's spine. "Foder*..." She cursed beneath her breath. She could seem to make her body move from his vision.

*Foder= Portuguese for Fuck xD;]

The merchant had indeed noticed you. "Please stay", he said to you in flawless Portuguese. But it was not a request, the merchant used his powers to make you want to stay. "This lovely woman may just help finalize my deal with the American. Give them a lovely woman, and their minds turn to mush" the merchant thought to himself.

Thomas arrived at the merchant's shop not long after that. Not noticing the Brazilian beauty would have been impossible. In broken Portuguese, Thomas said to both the merchant and you "Good evening".

The merchant then spoke in broken English, once again using his powers towards you. "Ahh, my friend the American. Have you met this woman yet?" To you the merchant said "Be nice to my American friend."

As soon as your hands touch Thomas, he gives the merchant a very stern look. "Stop this."

The merchant said "Is she not lovely, and ever so willing?"

Thomas said in a much more firm tone, "Stop this, NOW!"

The merchant broke his hold over you.

Thomas turns to you. "My apologies, ma'am. This was not my idea."

To the merchant, Thomas said "I'll come back tomorrow, and see if you are ready to do business, not throw a woman at me to tempt me."

She knew her mind was clouded and the thought alone sent rage rippling through out her. When the Thomas made himself known to her, she glanced up at him. "*Tarde..." she spoke, in response to his greeting. Her touch was like feathers and silk. When she leaned in close to him, her smell should have washed over him. She smelled of honeysuckle and lavender. When the hold was broken, Aurora jerked her hands away. She felt herself crumble, knowing what could have well been the result of the encounter, if the wretched Vampire had not have broken his hold.

If it were any other man, Aurora would have burst into a string of Portuguese insults. But these were two vampires. She felt her red eyes trail up to his face before stopping. She turned, and ran. She was fast. She leapt over carts and people, anything that got in her way, really. Her heart was racing and her thoughts moving just as quickly.

[*Tarde= Evening]

Thomas watched the woman run away. He could not blame her. The merchant had forced her.

Still, he felt intrigued by the woman. There seemed to be something different about her.

Thomas decided to follow Aurora, and leave the merchant who was cursing to himself.

He stayed well behind her, not wanting to frighten her. His vision was good enough to keep an eye on her even from a long distance.

He wanted to approach her, but only when she was calm.

Hysteric at best, Aurora finally found a place she thought she would be comfortable relaxing in. Her back pressed to the wall of the building, she stopped to catch her breath. She hated Vampires. Hated all of them. Well, she hated all of them right now. She'd like to go back and give that merchant a healthy punch in the nose, it was what he needed. Shame on him for trying to take advantage of someone! "*Bastardo vil..." She hissed aloud, though she was sure there was no one around close enough to have heard her.

While she was relaxing, she let her eyes scan the area for any of them. None that she could see, and visibly she calmed a little more. Maybe coming back to Brazil for the week was a bad idea. She shuddered again at the thought of what could have happened. What if she had been bitten?! That would be an absolute disaster!

Thomas watched Aurora from a distance. He stayed well back. He watched as she finally calmed. He knew he was taking an awful chance. He walked through the street, approaching Aurora slowly. His eyes scanned the entire scene. Thomas kept walking, knowing it would be moments before Aurora was bound to see him. He was not sure exactly how she would react to him. He hoped there might be some positive thoughts. This female really caught him off guard, and he was not certain why. Perhaps she might be willing to forget the negative that was caused by some other vampire. Once Thomas knew that Aurora could see him, he smiled closed lipped - not wanting to show his fangs. He waved in a friendly manner - or in a manner that he hoped would be perceived as friendly.

Aurora glanced up once, her eyes grazing over him before looking away. Immediately, she was met with a double-take. She felt the horror in her chest rose again, and she swallowed a scream. She narrowed her eyes, her legs tensed to run if he got any closer. "You stay right there!" She yelled. Her English was excellent, although her accent was thick. She felt her heart starting to race again before she spoke up a second time. "Why are you following me?" She yelled, almost back to hysteric point, A. She disregarded his wave, pushing herself off of the wall. She couldn't remember the last time she had felt so hysterical.

Well, this is not going well. Thomas decided not to push things. Her reaction was not what he wanted. He sighed to himself. "I was hoping to apologize for the actions of another. But it seems that my presence disturbs you." Thomas turned away from Aurora. But even as he walked away, he felt that something was terribly wrong. He wanted to show Aurora that he meant no harm. Perhaps tonight was not the correct night to attempt such actions. Why was it that he could not get her off of his mind?

She scoffed and looked over at him. "You're damn right it disturbs me! Do you know what could have happened if you chose to go along with it? You could have.... I could have been...." And she felt another over-reaction. She braced both palms on her temples, breathing heavily. "Acalme-se, Aurora... acalme... acalme... Você está indo a....*" and with that, her eyes rolled into her head and she had collapsed. She sent herself into enough of a panic to pass herself out. She laid there on the ground, seeming peaceful, although she was the exact opposite.

(OOC - The real Portuguese does not bother me, it's all good :D )

Thomas heard her speak. He had not done any of those things. But Aurora was rightfully upset. All she saw was a vampire. And it was a vampire that took away her freedom. Thomas remembered a time when he had done such things. "I could have, but I did not" Thomas spoke, his back still to Aurora. "I made him stop. Truthfully, I am not 100 percent certain why I came here. I wanted to calm you. I have done the opposite. I just thought you seemed so different. My mind is buzzing right now, even with my back to you. I cannot make the wrong thing right. But if there was something I could do...." Thomas let the sentence hang. He had stopped walking away. He did want to talk with Aurora.

She was motionless, sprawled out onto the ground in what could be seen as a nap. "*Senhorita, são você bem?" it was the voice of another woman speaking to Aurora. The woman leaned over and nudged her. In pure shock, the woman left Aurora there, nearly falling over her as she ran. The woman was sure a Vampire was the culprit, and she would not become involved.

[*Miss, are you well?]

Even with his back turned, Thomas sensed the unnatural change. He turned to face Aurora. He saw her falling. With a burst of speed, he was at her side, catching her before she fell. Thomas examined Aurora, trying to determine what had gone wrong.

It was a simple thing to figure out. Aurora had sent herself into such a panic, that she had knocked herself unconscious. She was peaceful leaning against him. Her hair spilled over her shoulders, and she was fairy light despite her age. From anyone glancing in on them, she seemed as though she was in a peaceful sleep.

Thomas sighed again. Yet another vampire had done something to Aurora. Thomas picked Aurora up gently. He thought very briefly about taking her to his place. But he could imagine her panicing yet again upon waking. Thomas instead carried Aurora to a local clinic. He got her to a physician, and promised a nce bonus to insure she would be well taken care of. Thomas got a "Get Well Soon" card. He was not sure what to place in the card. He left the card at Aurora's side, plaing only his signature on the card. (OOC - Aurora would recognize his last name as a name of a large, prestigious clothing company in the US). Thomas decided to wait in the wiating area, well out of sight. He only asked the physician to let her know that he had brought her to the clinic, but would leave if she truly did not wish to see him.

It was a good hour before Aurora awoke, the nurse that had been taking care of her explaining to her the situation. "You're lucky... you could have very well caused yourself to have a stroke, you should be careful..." Aurora shifted uncomfortably. She was told he was outside waiting on her, and she instantly recognized his last name. She walked out into the waiting room, looking around. She set eyes on him, and though the better half of her wanted to panic, the other half forced her to remain calm. "You are American, correct? I'm Aurora... Listen, I..." She still seemed a bit sheepish. "Thank you..." she said, meekly. That wasn't so hard... she thought to herself, and finally she offered him a smile.

Aurora had a smile that could have easily lit up the entire continent of Brazil. And it only added to her overall attractiveness. She glanced around and then looked down at him, seeming to have become a little more calm in his presence. "I trust you haven't put any other women into a clinic? So, perhaps we should go..."

Thomas was glad. Aurora did not panic at his sight. "I am happy you are feeling better. I now have a much better understanding of why you so dislike vampires. My name is Thomas. I hope you will not be offended if I pay for your time here. While I brought you here; I was not the one who affected you." Thomas turned to the physician, and paid for Aurora's care. "It would be my pleasure if you allow me to walk you out."

Aurora shrugged briefly. "Whereas I don't feel that you are responsible for the incident, a woman can never turn down something free. It would be disrespectful." She was being a little playful, trying to relax herself. Sure, the man standing before her was indeed a vampire, but in the instance where he was given the opprotunity to do something terrible, such as drain or rape her, he didn't. So perhaps she should give him credit for that. After all, it takes a very strong man to turn down a beautiful seemingly willing woman. "By all means." She said with a smile in response to the two of them walking out together. As they walked she glanced up at him for a moment. "So, I have to ask, what are you doing all the way in Brazil? Are you on a vacation?"

Thomas relaxed a bit. He smiled at Aurora. "Well, I met that merchant online. He had promised me some exotic textiles. Now, however, I am not certain I will be conducting business with him. So now I have little to do. I know so little of Rio. Except it's reputation of course. I could really use a guide...."Thomas gave Aurora a slight wink.

She seemed taken back by his request, but she saw no reason to turn him down. "Well, the best part of Rio is the nightlife. Parties." She knew of one going on now. She could take him, but she was uncertain of how the other people would react to him. She didn't suppose it would matter. He was her company, and she would entertain him. She walked with him. "Do you care for parties?"

Thomas smiled at Aurora as he spoke to answer her. "The parties I usually go to are "business" parties. Everyone has remain "formal", so you can imagine the lack of fun. I once saw two people who kissed on the cheek get scolded for "unbecoming" behavior." Thomas giggled at the thought. Then he continued. "The parties are held purely for business purposes, and new deals are reason for celebration. If we do go, promise me I won't have to dance. I can run like the wind, but when it comes to dancing I have two left feet."

She listened to him speak before chuckling a bit and gripping his arm lightly. "Oh, no amor, I can't make that promise." She seemed completely at ease. And she was relieved of such. "You will pass up the opprotunity to dance with a Brazilian woman? We take dance very seriously around here...." She said with a grin snaked across her face. "You'll look like quite the oddball, but if you do not wish to dance, I don't suppose there is anyway I can make you want to..." She finished, looking meager. Of course, she could get him to dance with her, if she really wanted to.

Thomas smiled at Aurora. It seemed that smiling at her was an easy thing to do. "Well, now, how could I possibly refuse a chance to dance with a Brazilian woman?" Then Thomas decided to do a small amount of teasing. "I'm sure I could find one out there that would not laugh at my lack of ability to dance well." Then Thomas nudged Aurora playfully. "Although I find that I would much rather dance with you. One promise though? Be gentle with me on the dance floor. I may accidentally step on your toes, and in a worst case I would surely hate to trip and fall on you."
