The night everyone will remember.

On one special night every 323 years there's a ball held for all the most powerful magical beings in the world.Most of these beings would like to kill and rip each others hearts out,but they don't because of the 9 elders who are stronger then all of them.But,most of the people coming tonight have never been to this ball before except for the vampires since they usually live forever.But when the elders are angered because of a small fight that breaks out at the ball they decide to punish all of them by locking them all in the huge mansion and leaving.Only saying the words.."The last person alive will be let out."This stirs everyone in the mansion and most think it will be easy to kill everyone because of there physical characteristics or the way they act.But remember, looks can be deceiving.

Katie sat in the corner of the huge ballroom watching the elders leave.It was strange since they were very old..and moving.She smirked to herself even though she was pretty much sentenced to fight to the death with everyone here.She looked around seeing other creatures as she called them and herself.Like Vampires.She despised them.She thought it was probably because Vampires out of all magical creatures were probably the most known and famous.Instead of being feared, their loved.But if a demon came into the life of a human they would probably scream and run.She sighed looking at the elegant chandiler now and thinking of how she was to try top kill all these people.

Isaac was proping up a wall on the far side of the ball room. He watched everyone stare at each other, probably thinking of ways to kill each other. He just sighed and wondered how was this going to help anyone. Killing everyone till one person stood wasn't logical. It was just something stupid and unrational. He hated when there was blood spilled over something so stupid as this and yet he was part of it. If he wanted to live he would have to kill and he hated that. It was as if the whole world just wanted him to bath himself in the blood of those in this house.

He then sighed and muttered to himself, "why must blood be spilt over something so mindless as this. We should be talking of peace and not stareing at each other with death in our eyes. Yet here we are, the strongest magical creatures fighting to see who is best. But what is best for us now is not blood and yet that is all we can see for the best. Blood. Blood is why we are here today and one of us shall be covered in everyones blood by the time this is all over. Now the question is who is going to spill the blood the first blood and who will be covered in blood at the end? Only time and death can tell." he said to himself and to no one imparticular. He really didnt care to be here right now and just wished to go outside and be in the forest. But yet he couldn't till he was killed or the survivor.

Katie walked out of the ballroom after realizing that these doors weren't locked.She walked down the hall looking at all the beautiful old paintings on the walls.She didn't want to kill anyone but she had the power to do so without regret.She put her hand up and touched one of the paintings,feeling the ruff texture of the paint.She dropped her hand back down to her side.But she knew that if she had to kill anyone here it would be those bloody vampires that she despised so much.She wouldn't kill first though.Her plan was to stay back and let blood shed be on someone elses hands before her own since she saw no point to this.But the elders were of course doing this for a reason..maybe even to teach them a lesson.No matter how gruesome it would be..especially since some of the magical beings here were just small children.She winced.The children would be taken down first.

Isaac sighed and pushed off the wall. There was nothing to do here and everyone was basicly just stareing at each other, trying to figure out who they where going to kill first. he was going to stay in the shadows as they fought and didn't plan on coming out till only a few where left. They would be crazed with blood and there minds would be clouded with thoughts of surviving and the thurst for more blood. So he woudln't mind killing them. He just wished that the blood fight wouldn't last long since it would be hard to watch.

He passed by the children and frowned as he exited the ball room. They would die first and that was a hard thing to accept. The lost of children to any race was hard since they where the future. If they where gone then that would hurt them all a lot. He then saw someone out of the ballroom as well. He smiled at her, at least he wasn't the only one who was smart enough not to stay in there.

Jinx sighed, she didn't really want to be here of all places. Since she was the only one available to attend, she was forced to go. She saw a stray soul pass by her,"Hmnph." She grabbed the soul and put it on her lap, playing with it absently. She mostly knew half the people here were smarter and stronger than her, so she kept at a distance from everyone else at the windowsill.

Katie looked away from the painting seeing a boy walking out of the ballroom.She watched him for a few moments feeling a little better that he didn't seem out to kill anyone at the moment.She looked at her feet a bit embarassed because she had been staring at him.She hoped the boy had not noticed because she felt oddly strange for doing it.She stared at a picture of one of the elders wife.She looked very old with squinty devilish eyes.The view of her made Katie sick to her stomach because of the way she looked so..needy for power but yet so old..Katie pushed her black bangs out of her eyes and wondered if she knew anyone here.

Isaac saw the girl stare at him but said nothing. He walked over to her and looked at the painting she was. It was a good painting, but it was going to be ruined sooner or later from teh blood bath. He then sighed and looked at the girl, "so, are you going to threw the first punch or watch from the sidelines?" he asked since he would like to know where exactly she stood in all of this. He wanted to make sure he wasn' the only one who thought this whole entire thing was stupid and that there was no good to come of it. He also wanted to see if he would have someone to talk to as he watched the killing.

"Sidelines."She said with a smirk,turning to look at the boy."I think this whole thing is idiotic..especially for the childrens sake."She said quietly."And you?"She questioned.She had no clue why the elders would do this anyway.All it was doing was killing off some of the most powerful beings that they had under their control.

Isaac smiled at her, "same." he said and then looked back at the ballroom. "That room is going to be covered in blood sooner or later and so is everything else. It just seems like a waste of good people if you ask me. It is so savage like and idiotic that it makes no sence even for the elders." he said and then looked at her, "by the way I am Isaac." he said and held out a hand to her.

She took his hand."Katie."She said politley.Isaac was quite charming but that was least of what she should be thinking about."It seems weird for them to do just because of a fight..they knew most of us hated each other anyway.But they always have this ball I guess."She said lightly.She thought it was strange how she was wearing such an elegant dress that seemed from the 1800s to a ball where everyone was supposed to kill each other.

Isaac looked at her, "I think they are trying to weed out the weak." he said as he looked at her and couldnt' help but think she looked rather beautifull in that dress. But eh quickly banished it from this thoughts, that wasn't imporant now. "I think they are trying to see which of the races would cave first and to see which one is the strongest. But it is still savage like and it is disgusting in a way." he said as he looked at her.

Katie nodded,realizing they still had each others hand.She let go with a slight blush."Sorry."She said quickly changing the subject."So,what race are you?"She asked,she could never guess what race someone was because she always messed it up completely.

Isaac smiled at her and then made his eyes shift to those of a cat, "in truth, I am a shapshifter." he said and he let two cat ears pop out of his head as his humans ears receaded into him. He loved being able to do this since it entereained him to see what kind of creatures he could combines and what traits from animals he could have. He remembered one time when he accidently gave himself gills and couldn't breath.

She smiled at him."My younger brother is a neko."She said looking at the ears."I think there adorable."She smirked.She really missed her brother Alexander.She heard a fight start in the ballroom and thought that maybe they should leave the hallway right in front of the door.She felt her bangs fall into her face again and frowned pushing them out of the way.

Isaac sighed, "come, lets head to the living room so that they can finish there little fight." he said and started to walk away from there when he saw her brush her hair out of her face. She did it in a cute way and he could only smile. "and I have a younger sister, she was to sick to come here and no I am glad that she isn't here." he said as he looked at her and motioned for her to follow him to the living room.

She nodded and followed him,opening another door to a small living room.She sat on the old styled couched and looked at her dress then back at him.She hoped he would sit by her but then knew she would be letting herself start to care for him more then she should.She smiled."My brother isn't very powerful since hes just a neko so he didn't want to come.Especially since he thinks dressing up is disgusting."She laughed lightly.

Isaac laughed and sat down across from her. "My sister wanted to come with me since she always wants to go where ever i do but she got sick the other day and had to stay. But she really didn't like it, she fought my mom like no tomorrow trying to come." he said as he thought of that, "but we got her to stay after she destoryed the kitchen." he said and he remembered chaseing his little sister around the house like a cat trying to catch a mouse... actually that was exactly what they had changed into.

"I had to leave my brother with my friend OnYeen..she didn't come tonight so she could watch him."She said feeling a little sad that she had no parents or family other then Alexander.Her bangs fell in her face again but since she was talking she didn't fix them,but frowned."Your sister sounds cute."She said with a small smile.Isaac seemed to get better and better just by talking to him.

Isaac smiled, "oh, she is cute but she is also chaos. If she doesn't get her way watch out for she will thorw a temper tanrtum the size of a elephant, I am not kiding." he said and remembered how there one house got flatend because of that. "but she is only 8 so waht do you expect." he said as he looked at her. He then leand forward and smiled, "so what race are you?" he asked since she knew him. He noticed the bangs and knew that he could fix her hair. He had learned to be able to fix hair for girls since he only lived with his mother and little sister.

She smiled and blew her bangs out of her eyes."Well,I'm really strange.."She said with a grin."I'm a demonic elementic..but my mother was angelic and my father was human."She said and looked at him,blushing a little."I'm one hell of a freak."She laughed lightly.

Isaac looked at her surprised. Why would suck a beautifull women say she was a freak. he then sighed and shook his head, "no, sorry but I dont see a freak anywhere around here." he said as he looked at her. He then smiled, "all I see if a wonderfull unique women who is very smart." he said as he looked at her. That was all that she was Unique. She was different and different was always good in his oppinion.

She smiled."And I see a unique,charming man."She said as her bangs fell in her face again.They annoyed her so much.But she liked them all the same.She looked at Isaac not knowing what else to say at the moment.She heard screams down the hall and sighed.

Isaac leand back in his chair, "well there goes one down, a few hundred more to go." he said and shook his head. Things where only going ot get worse and he wished that it wouldn't. He then looked at her, "and do you need a hair pin to help you keep your bangs out of here eyes?" he asked as he looked at her. He always carryed hair pins iwth him since his little sister liked to stick them in his coat and put them in his hair.
