"Thanks ya cook." She turned back to Nicki trying to see if he woke. "What was that Cap'n?" She couldn't quite catch what he had said. "Ah, Barnaby, what'di do if he wakes?" She leaned in a little closer to maybe catch what the Captain had said.

Barnaby just shrugged and went back to scrubbing. When Andrew leaned down to hear, Nicki smiled a bit. "Heeey, jus' fell asleep I did. Dream you has' a twin...a woman twin..."

"No sir, I hasn't got a twin. It's just me Yer cabin boy." She straightened back up with a smile, "What a silly dream captain, I think's you had a bit much ta drink." She let out a small laugh and looked at Barnaby cleaning up the mess. Truth be told she was thinking of taking the kind hearted cook's advice and skipping out when they made port next.

Nicki waved his hand limply at her. "Naaah, ne'er too much rum..." he slurred with a lopsided grin. Barnaby stood and collected up the pot and bucket. "Gotta get back down to ta galley. Help 'im o'er to his cot and make sure 'e stays thar." Barnaby gestured toward a door to her right and walked out. Nicki was now staring wide eyed at his hand. "Well...wadja looki thar..." he trailed off.

Andrew nodded to Barnaby as he left silently thanking him in her head for doing the clean up job, she would make sure to do a good job on the dishes when she went back down to the galley. "Why what's wrong with yer hand Captain?" She turned back towards Nicki and pulled him to his feet. "Gotta gets ya to bed 'afore ya fall asleep again though." She walked half supporting Nicki back towards the other door and into the room with his cot.

She helped him sit down and waited for him to lay down, figuring he would do that himself. Also to stop touching him for a moment because it made her shiver. Amelia knew that the Captain was extremely close to figuring out what she was, and didn't want to give him to many more chances to figure that out. In fact, she wanted to get to the next port. Really was bad luck to have a woman on board she thought with a sigh.

Nicki yawned and hiccuped loudly, then fell back onto the cot with a soft thud. "Mmm, Anruu', ya should try this, is' so soft," he muttered with a giggle. He wiggled himself under the thin blankets and tossed a bit before settling down. Then he sat up suddenly again and grabbed her to pull her into a tight hug. "Ya fergot ta hugga me goodnigh'," he said in a sing-song tone.

Andrew was about to turn and walk away from the cot to lean against the opposite wall until she was sure the captain was sound asleep when he suddenly sat up and hugged her. She laughed lightly, with nervousness clear in her voice, but she hugged him back. Not something she normally did, never having considered it manly, and thus having kept it hidden so her gender did not be revealed.

Right now she assumed that it was safe since the captain was fairly trashed, and would soon pass out, hopefully not even remembering the things that had gone on. Mainly, him noticing her chest. With the hug she pulled away and lowered Nicki back onto the cot. "Now go to bed captain, it will help."

Nicki rolled his head up and down in an exaggerated nod. "Yessum," he agreed. Then his eyes closed and fell asleep in mere seconds.

Amelia slid down the wall and curled her knees up to her chin, waiting. She wanted to make sure that the captain would stay asleep, for his own health, and because she didn't want to clean up any more puke. Her eyes drifted over his frame in the bed and she shivered. "Well that's odd." She murmured to herself.

After what seemed like hours but probably only about 15 minutes the female cabin boy stood up stretching out her stiff joints from sitting on the ground not moving. The captain would be out for awhile. As silent as she could muster with squeaky floor boards and a rocking ship, where slight movements to any good sea goer would tip them off, she slipped out the door shutting it behind her.

Now it was time for dishes, which in her mind wasn't that bad of a chore. She hummed 'Yo ho.' as she walked casually back down to the galley. Nodding her hello to Barnaby as she got there and heading straight for the kitchen where there was a massive pile of dishes she would be thrilled to help with. It always pleased her to make things cleaner.

"Andrew, c'mere," Barnaby ordered, his tone stiffer than usual. The reason why was soon apparent. Jozo appeared back at the sink with a large cloth in hand. He caught sight of Andrew and smirked.

"Yes'ir Barnaby," she replied keeping the fact that she had noticed Jozo silent.

Barnaby handed her a large cut of beef to tenderize while Jozo cleaned the dishes. He leaned over a bit as he handed her the heavy spiked mallet. "I don' care if ya mush it ta a pulp; jus' don' stop until I dismiss Jozo," he whispered to her before returning quickly to slicing up onions.

"Yes'ir cook." Amelia replied as she took the beef from Barnaby, "I can get dis ready ta cook, no problem." Her heart skipped a beat as she took the mallet and heard Barnaby's orders. Quickly she turned away from Jozo to the counter that she could tenderize the meat on, biting her lip. This day was proving to be very unlucky for her. She could no longer hide who she was, everyone was noticing.

She lifted the mallet and began to pound at it, making a face briefly as the smell of the onions reached her. She crinkled her nose and wondered if they had garlic. It was always so much better. She continued whacking at the meat, an easy enough job since she did have muscles from working so long on the ship. They were just not as pronounced as some of the crew's. She was a girl after all and the muscles on females rarely showed with out a ridiculous amount of toning.

She'd noticed these differences and added it to her list of things to be careful about.

Jozo did his best to drag out the simple job of doing dishes, but he still couldn't keep it up forever. Finally he threw down the dish cloth with a scowl and stomped out of the galley without so much as a 'your welcome.' Barnaby waited until the sound of his footsteps disappeared before setting his knife down. "Good job," he said to Andrew.

Amelia immediately set the mallet down next to the beef when Jozo left the galley. "Thanks." She mumbled looking at the stairs in thought, "Is he up to something besides trying to catch me doing something wrong?" She hadn't meant to say it out loud but its where her mind had gone to.

"He knows yer hidin' somethin', but he don' know what. The crew say we'll make port in fo'r days. Best be ready."

"I will be." Amelia nodded looking down at the meat. She would have to keep cover for four days, that's it. She could do that couldn't she. "I best be checking on the captain again and than getting around sa'more tasks. Thanks for the help Baranaby." She headed towards the door out of the galley and than down the hall back to the captain's cabin.

Back in Nicki's quarters, the captain had rolled out his bed in his sleep and was now slumped upside down over the edge, a drool puddle forming below his open mouth. He was still sound asleep hadn't noticed a thing.

The door to Nicki's cabins opened and Andrew entered shaking her head seeing her captain laying half off his bed. "C'mon captain." She said reaching down to pull him back onto the bed. She used the bed sheet to wipe up the drool puddle since it wasn't to bad and it would dry. "Stay in bed this time." She chuckled slightly, it was rather amusing.

She felt that weird feeling from earlier again and shook her head to clear it. Looking down at him she crossed her arms over her chest suddenly cold. The sooner she got off the ship the better, she realized. She reached down and moved a piece of hair out of the captains eyes and froze looking at her hand in terror. Why had she just done that. She withdrew quickly to stand by the door.

Nicki woke later with a groan as he sat up. He rubbed at his eyes and ruffled through his hair. "Feel like shit," he muttered. Then he noticed his surroundings. Who had taken him to his bed? He brushed the hair out of his face and looked around, spotting Andrew by the door. He smiled slightly, the pain in his head making him wince, and swung his legs over the side of the cot. "Thank ye Andru," he said as he tried to stand. He wobbled and crashed back into the cot.

Andrew had been dozing by the door and jolted awake when the captain tried to stand, she lurched forward to try to catch him but luckily he just fell back onto the cot. Though it did leave her standing like an idiot by the cot as she let her arms swing back to her sides. "Yer welcome Captain. But ye gotta be careful. Ye be really drunk right now."

Nicki grimaced and rubbed at his head. "No shit," he muttered. He squinted up at Andrew. Then his eyes traveled down to her shirt and he shook his head. "Havin' these dreams tha' you be a woman. Tis' a mite strange."

"Yeah dat would be." She laughed roughly, "I's practically grown up with you Nicki, you would know if I was a woman." Andrew took a gamble saying that, she sure hoped it was true. "Ya feelin any better? Need anything 'fore I go do more work before bed?" She'd been working for well over half a day now. And she could at least do something else before the sun set. Than truth was she would be up on the ropes watching the sea at night. Her favorite time to be up there besides sunrise.

Nicki laughed a little. "Ya work too much Andru', don' ya evar take a brake?" He smiled up at her.

"Not really, I'm thee only cabin boy on da whole ship." She shrugged leaning back against the door.
