Selena sat on the park bench, reading a book. She was waiting for her best friend. She had just gotten off from work at the local library. She glanced around the area, she hoped that Em got her soon, she didn't really feel all that safe by her self. She glanced back up at the sky and saw the setting sun.

Lance ventured out from his dark room, as he could tell that the sun was almost down. He knew he had to speak with the Elders of his family today. The he would have to go out and find a quick meal. It had been awhile since he had feed. He stretched his self.

Not long after she looked up at the sky, Em propelled herself over the back of the bench and sat next to her with a grin. Her gray eyes were always playful towards Selena, though to everyone else Emily was pretty frightening. She glanced up at the sun and then back down to her friend. "Are you doing that peaceful nature stuff again? She inquired with a quirked brow.

Alexei shifted from his spot where he slumbered. He seemed stand-offish about everything, and he ruffled his blue and black hair before heading out of his room, garbed in his favorite tuxedo, minus the tie and belt, of course. Alexei was regal and professional about most things, but he was fashionable in devious on his other hand. His blue eyes scanned the area as he walked it, remembering the pictures along the walls all to well.

Selena looked behind her. " Hey Em...well yeah, I was" She said. Selena closed her book, and stood up. She turned to her friend and smile. " How was your day?" She asked.

Lance glanced at the walls. He came to a stop outside to two big double doors. He was waiting for Alexei before heading into the room with the elders. He leaned against the wall. While he stood there he was taping his foot.

Em shrugged, holding out her Starbuck's cup to her friend. "Got some coffee. That's about the extent. I thought about free-running... and then I decided not to. Cause last time I got a ticket." She pulled her knee onto the bench and rested her chin on it. "So what's on the agenda today? Are we going to party hard? I like hard partying." Of course, Emily was being playful, as she knew all to well that her friend wasn't exactly the 'Party hard' type.

Alexei approached, noting his brothers irritability. "Hm? You stand and act as if my tardiness will be the only annoyance of the day? Hmph..." He quirked a brow. "Forgive me for stopping to enjoy the artwork, as I am sure we have heard this speech too many times before. Another row on Kinship, I'll bet you my Cameo."

" Well actually, I do have some homework to do" She said with a smile to her friend. " Do you have any work you need help with?" She asked. Selena still went to school and always did her homework.

" I'm sure that's what it will be about, but I'm hungry, and want to get this over with already" He snapped at his brother. He didn't understand why he couldn't just look at the artwork later.

Emily made an extremely sour face and a couple of noises. "Homework, nasty. Why would I be doing homework when it's exactly what I'm supposed to be doing." She laughed out loud. it wasn't odd at all that she suggested partying her and her friend came up with homework. Selene was always the good out of the two, and she had to say she was proud to be considered a friend.

Alexei chuckled amused. "Be angry all you want to, dear brother, you will still be hungry." He said with a grin that one could only describe as wolf-like. He was a slow paced stubborn Vampire, and he moved at his own pace. He always had, and from here to eternity he always would. "And, you can't be that hungry. You're out here complaining at me when we could have already been in there and have it over and done with..." He motioned towards the doors with a pale delicate hand. "After you." He spoke.

" So you can maintain your c average?" She suggested. She meant it in good jest. She waited to see what her friend would say. Though the faster she got the school work done, the sooner she could get back to her book.

" Your annoying" He muttered to his brother. He walked into the room, and waited for his brother to join him. He looked up at the elders," You wanted to see us?" He asked.

She grinned wide and happy. "Pfft, I maintain that by........ nothing. BAM!" She stood up on the bench and threw her hands out. She felt so playful. She jumped backwards into a backflip and landed on her feet on the sidewalk. "Come on, forget about homework. Let's go.... do..... something...." She mused.

There were three men all set up in throne like chairs beaming down on the two young Vampires. "Alexei and Lance. We have called you here today to discuss the problem of the two of your finding your Kinship. It is very important that you find them. I understand neither one of you take the Kinship seriously, but it is a part of tradition, and it is how our bloodline has lived on Generation by generation. So we have orders for you. Not requests: Orders. Find your Kinship in the next week, or you--"[/b] Alexei cut him off. "Father, there is no use threatening us... Your threats have long since lost their vigor..." The elderly male stared down at him. "Find your Kinship."

" But...I really need to get it down" She said. She shifted in her spot. She knew that Em liked to party, and a lot of times they had different thoughts on what they should be doing.

Lance wanted to rolled his eyes. He knew that sooner or later, it would boil down to threats and orders. Yet he still couldn't find the will to care. Why would he want to find the one person who could be the end of him. In all honestly he could care less. He sighed and looked back up at them. " Or what?" He wanted to know

Emily groaned and slumped over. "Buzzkill. Captain Buzzkill." She teased. She crouched down and looked up at her friend. "Your homework should be there when we're done turning the town red. Or purple or blue. Whatever color you want to paint it, but let's paint. So you'll get an A instead of an A +, your mother's broken heart will heal."

The elderly man sighed. "Or we will exile you from the family. You will be hunted as rouges." Alexei let out a uproarious laughter. "Oh, father. We all know that you would never do that to your sons. Your own flesh and blood." The elderly man shifted uncomfortably. They all knew it wasn't true, but he had to threaten anyway in front of the other elders.

Lance wanted to punch his brother. Didn't he see the position he was putting their father in. Lance guessed it was time to stop playing around. "Alexei, will you shut up. I think it's time we stop playing" He told his brother. He turned to glare at him. He hope his brother realize that all they had to do was find them, not complete everything within a week.

Selena sighed," Well then what do you want to do Em?" She asked. She realized she was fighting losing battle. She was also sure she could get extra credit later.

Alexei chuckled, shrugging and allowing his brother to decide it for the both of them. Alexei certainly wouldn't mind the taste of a woman. It had been a long time since he had tasted a woman. A wolf-like grin snaked across his pale features. "Fine, Kinship... We'll travel the world in a week..." Alexei was an aristocrat if there ever were one. But it was only well known to those who spent all the time around him.

Em pumped her arm excitedly. "I don't know... something.... spontaneous! Let's go spray paint something..." She said playfully tugging her friend to the park. She jumped up on the swing and swung standing up for a minute before leaping off and landing in front of her friend. She was so energetic and excited.

" We can't spray paint something, we could get in trouble" She said. She followed after her, she smiled at her friend who seemed so wound up.

The elders seemed to agree. " Good, now that it's settle we'll go start right away" He said, before turning and leaving. He hoped his brother was following. He wanted to go grabbed a quick bite before he had to go find his kinship.

Emily literally climbed the swing set, sitting on top of it and then hanging upside down from it, her arms extending downward. She had a very well shaped, toned abdomen. "Pfft. Trouble. I laugh in the face of trouble. Ha! Ha! Ha!" She toyed playfully. She was pretty wound up. "I think it was all them snocones. I love me some Sno Cone..." Or, it could have been the coffee.

Alexei was close behind him, seeming bored with the whole situation. "This place gets worse by the minute... Why did father have to breed two sons? Why couldn't he had gone for a third child? A female? I hate wasting time on the hunt..." he grumbled, dissatisfied.

Selena giggled," How many did you have?" She asked. Her friend did always seem to have a affair with sweets. She watched her and he jumping around. She glanced around the area, the sun was gone now.

" Why do you have to complain so much?" He asked. He was already annoyed. " Look, I'm going out to find some young thing to eat, after that we will go do as they freaking asked" He said heading for the door.

Emily flipped over the bar and landed on her feet in a Spiderman like pose. "Like, six." It was a wonder she stayed so thin. "Hey, watch, watch!" She ran at a tree, effectively running up it and flipping backwards. "Buzzinga!" She stretched out a bit and then bent backwards into a back bend and then began to scuttle circles around her friend. "Come one, Selene. Do something. Swing, run something!"

Alexei chuckled. "It's simple, dear brother, because it annoys you so..." He listened to his statement about the 'young thing' and shook his head. "Now, older women are just as tasty..." of course, they both knew that wasn't true, but an older woman was much easier to fool than a young lady now-a-days.

" Older woman taste horrible. " He stated. " Are you going to follow me all night?" He asked. As he left the house and headed to the near by park. He had already started scanning the area for his next meal.

" You know you shouldn't have that many for you. It's not that good for your health" She told her friend. She tried to watch her, but she kept running around her. She sighed, and moved over to the swing and sat down. " Better?"

Alexei thought about it for a minute and chuckled. "Perhaps... until I find something that suits me..." He inhaled deeply. "There are a few 'young things' nearby... why don't you pick from them? If you're lucky, one will be a child..." he teased. Alexei was always very good at finding new ways to annoy his brother.

Emily flipped into a back-handspring and looked at her friend. "Yeah, I know... but I always have so much energy to burn. Why not have some calories to burn off with it? Call it... constructive eating." She watched her friend sit down. "Seriously? Seriously? Swing! Moooove the swing. You can do it. Use the force, Selene..." She climbed up the swing again and hung upside down above her friend. The loose fitting band T-shirt she was wearing fluttered down to reveal the abdomen again. She held it to over her bra. "I can feel it, Selene. Oh yes, the force is strong with this one."

Lance sighed," One day, something you say will come back to bite you" He told the other. He glanced around, so far the people he saw where nothing to his taste. He heard some talking and heading towards it.

" Em, your so silly. " She told her friend. She than listened to the girl. " If I swing, will you get down, what if some guy saw you like that" She said referring to the shirt. She wouldn't want some pervert to come over and try to mess with her friend.

Alexei followed after him. "Oh, I do encourage..." He said in reference to his brothers reference to karma. Alexei had a lot of bad Karma coming his way if there even was such as think as 'Bad Karma'. Or Karma at all, really....

Emily thought about it. "Sure, I'll get down. But, if they saw me like this, they would just want my hot bod." She swung upwards walking on the top of the set like a beam. "Alrightly, massa, I'm all better. Swing away. You must swing." She made spirit fingers at her friend. "Em commands thee to swing." She knew that Selene was so wrapped up in school and good grades, that she hardly got to have any fun. She wanted her to have more fun, and she wanted to be a part of it most of all.

He walked and spotted two girls one walking on top of a swing set, while the other simply sat there. " Get lost will you" He muttered again to his brother as he stepped closer to the girls.

" Ok, Ok I will" She said with a laugh. She started swinging. Sometimes Em was so silly. " Please be careful though, I won't want you to end up hurt" She told her.

"You're not serious? The nit is walking on top of a swing set. I would like to watch you crash and burn this time..." He had his eyes set on her friend. It surprised him how intruiged he seemed to be by this. As if he were in some way drawn to the girl.

Emily hung upside down again before flipping. She began to dance, but it was the old timey dance. Her hand on her stomach and her finger. "Oh, Selene. Did you know if you walk without the rhythm, you won't attract the worm." She had Weapon of Choice stuck in her head. She slid off her jacket and tossed it on the swing. She took her band T-shirt off, revealing the black tank top beneath. It clung to her slender form. She saw a jungle gym right next to them and ran up it, without hands standing atop and extending her arms. "King of the world. Right here. Having fun yet? She jumped off and sat down in the swing next to her, winding down and becoming a tad somber.

His eyes walked the girl as she moved and sat in the next swing. He had never tried to tempted two girls. He hoped his brother would go for the mousy girl. Though something about this girl pulled him in, and made him want to claim her. He moved over towards them.

Selena watched her friend and how strange she was sometimes. " The what?" She wasn't really fully sure what she was talking about. She watched her friend until, she sat down next to her," Winding down?" She asked. She could tell the girl was already come down from her sugar high.
