She nodded. "Yes I have two. Alexa is two years old and Luca is one and a half. They are a handful, but that's what can be expected when you have labs I guess. Alexa is a beautiful dark yellow/red fox color and Luca is solid black." She thought it would be nice to let the dogs meet and play together since she really needed to get them a little more use to being around other dogs and people. She was just glad that even though they are friendly they almost make good guard dogs which no one really expects them to be that way. Kneeling down she started to rough house a little with Lyra.

Lyra yipped a little and played back, her tail in a frenzy as she pawed at her hands. Madox just laughed a little and shook his head. "Well they sound like fun. Maybe we should go to the park one day with the dogs. Let them tire themselves out." he suggested with a small smile, petting Gabe as he settled down on his arm.

She laughed a Lyra. "That sounds like a good plan." She looked up at him with a slightly more serious expression. "Playing with dogs isn't why I came here though. So maybe we should get to business." Grinning slightly she added, "Then we can play with the puppies...well if it isn't too late." Inside she was fighting with herself. The voice of her mother was yelling at her for being stupid and that she should just leave. Then another voice, the voice of her past telling her everything would be alright. He wouldn't try anything funny. That she was safe with him. She must have went off into a daze after she stopped speaking because the next thing she knew Lyra was tackling her. She fell over with a small "uff". Lyra climbed on top of her and just started licking her face. She giggled, "ok, ok, I love you too."

Madox nodded lightly. She was right. Playing with the dogs wasn't the main issue here. "Alright. We'll see." he said with a small smile, nodding down the hall. They would go to the study. There it was private enough, and they could talk in peace. He chuckled a little, scooping up the wriggling pup. "Sorry about her. I'll go and put them in their room. Then we can talk in peace." he stated as he stood back up, holding the two dogs. He smiled again before tilting his head and turning to the hallway, nodding his head in a motion for her to follow if she'd like. He went down the hall and opened a door leading to a sort of playing room for the puppies, he placed them inside and closed the door before turning back around to head to the study a few doors down.

Maiara nodded, her cheeks were flush from laughing and being embarrassed. After he got the dog off her she got up. “Thank you.” She brushed herself off a little before following him. As she walked along she looked around. By doing this she hoped to get more of an idea of what kind of guy Maddox was. She stopped a little ways behind him when he put the puppies in their room. Her thoughts had shifted slightly to what he must be thinking about her. She was starting to get self conscious and nervous which was evident by keeping her eyes downcast and fiddling with her hair. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea. He probably thinks I trust people too easily and that I’m niave. She sighed quietly.

The hallway was simple enough, it was painted a very light golden color, with the same shade color of the outside as the borders. There were a couple of picture frames hanging on the wall. Some of them of him and his friends, his parents from before they died, the puppies, ect. He noticed that she was a bit nervous, from the way her body was positioned. He offered a small smile to her before he opened the door to the study, along the way, wondering about her. Wonder what shes thinking.. Maybe it was a bad idea to bring her to my house. I should've asked if she wanted to do it at her place instead. It was an off white color, with a desk with some papers, couch and some chairs gathered around the corner, in the middle of that there was a coffee table. To the ends of the room were a couple bookshelves, and a big window showing the garden outside behind the desk. It had plenty of light that way, saved him the electricity only to have it in for the night. Hopefully she won't think of me as a weirdo. he thought before heading to one of the chairs so they'd be able to talk.

Following Madox in Maiara sat in a chair across from his. “You’re home is nice.” Looking at him she gave him a small smile. She really wished she knew what he was thinking about her. The room was nice and she liked that it had a view of the garden. To her it didn’t seem strange at all. “So where to start?” She was asking herself more then directing the question at him.
