"Am I ever ready to feel that stupid tape pull my skin?" Metza smirked slightly at that as she pulled the shirt the rest of the way off and pulled the covers up the hold them to her chest... Then sighed and put the sheets down knowing she couldn't help if he saw or not since he couldn't pull the bandages off while she held the covers to her chest.

Hako gave Metza a lopsided smile, agreeing with her. He started undoing the bandaged that were ruined the worst when she put back down the edge of the covers. "I promise not to look. I'll even close my eyes If you like." Already with only a tiny part of the bandage removed blood was running slowly down her back. He put a pillow on the bed just behind her, between the two of them. Much easier to wash a pillow then a whole bed.

Metza smirked slightly and laughed a little at the lopsided smile. "Na you're fine I know you won't... I'm just being a baby right now... Well it makes sense I was crying like one earlier." She said laughing at herself slightly. She could feel the warm red liquid running down her back slowly and it made her feel a little sick.

He tried to speed up but keep the gentleness with which he removed it from her skin, and soon the larger bandage was off and he could put the new one on. "You were scared. You could have died, that whole was deep. Most of it was shock, If you hadn't cried I would have been more worried about you then I was..." He trailed off and concentrated on wrapping the clean material around her, cleaning up the blood that had slipped down her back as he went.

Metza stayed calm as she listened to him though flinched every now and again when the bandages would tug and hurt her a little. Hako had gotten rather good at changing her bandages though right now wasn't the best feel in the world. "Huh I guess you're right on that one." She said softly with a slight smile.

"Right....that's it! All done I think." He smiled and clipped the bandage back into place. "Does that feel any better? Maybe when it's healed a bit more we'll try going out again. I wish I had seen where that guy went...would have given him a nasty black eye and a rather painful nose..." He stretched and shook his head, feeling his stress rising. "I hate people..."

"Yeah and I can tell." Metza chuckled lightly though groaned slightly at how dizzy she was getting from the loss of blood. She knew loosing so much blood in just a few days was hurting her and she could feel the change in her body and how her heart was pounding. "Thank you... You may not have seen it before... But if it wasn't for your kindness... I don't know where I'd be right now... Dead more then likely... And maybe even three or four times over." she said softly with a small sad laugh.

He smiled and sighed, putting his arms round her gently. “I don’t deserve a thank you for treating you like a human being. Are you going to be okay? You don’t sound so good…do you want to sleep?” He worried about her now more then not. He didn’t understand why, but he had stopped being so afraid of caring for her. Yet, he still had feelings that he didn’t understand, some that he hated and some he was ashamed of. He wished he knew if she felt any the same, but he had no way to describe a feeling. He felt awkward with his arms round her, but he still didn’t want to let go. He never really wanted to let go, if anything he would much rather pull her close. The world outside was still nearly poisonous to him, and the people bitter and cold, but that made her even more special to him. In his mind, she was an exception.

Metza relaxed into him slightly with a soft sigh. "Yeah I'll be fine... Could you grab the shirt I laid on the chair over there?" She said softly and pointed to the chair next to the foot of the bed that had a folded shirt in it. She felt a tad bit awkward in his arms without a shirt on though she didn't want to move away... She knew the feelings she was having and she was ashamed of them and pushed them into the back of her mind... What was happening was wrong and for that matter illegal... She could be killed for it... They could be killed for it...

He nodded and got up, missing her warmth in his arms. He picked it up and smiled, throwing it onto her head. She seemed distracted, and he felt like she needed something to pull her out of it. "Metza, what are you thinking? You seem like you're thinking about something important...Is it anything I should know about?" He stayed standing near the chair, and looked at the collection of items that were laid out on the desk nearby. Useless junk that his father must have bought simply to decorate an empty room.

Metza smirked pulling the shirt off her face and putting it on. "It... It's nothing..." She sighed softly as she looked at him slightly wearily... This could end up killing them if it got too far... She didn't even know if this would turn out like that... Though she had a feeling it might... Should she tell him? It wasn't nothing... Would he be able to tell that she was lying about that?

He wondered if she really was telling him everything she was thinking. "You know, If there's anything you do want to say, or talk about then just say." He felt like there was something bothering her, and he didn't like the feeling. He knew she wasn't always open, but it didn't seem like something that she just didn't want to talk about to anyone, It seemed like something that she almost wanted to hide.

Metza was quiet for a while as she laid down not wishing to sit up anymore and stared at the ceiling for a few minutes before closing her eyes. "The emotions called love I believe... And it's illegal..." She sighed softly though didn't open her eyes as she continued to think on the matter. She slipped her arms behind her head as she thought waiting quietly for some sort of reply.

He stood for a while, then sat down and shook his head. "No, It's not that. It's just not okay?" He smacked his hand down on the desk and then shook his head again. "Why would It be illegal? Even if I was...but I'm not." He looked at Metza and then sighed. He couldn't be in love, he had always forbiden himself. If he was to feel anything, it certainly wouldn't be love, not for her and not for anyone.

"For you... No... No you can love anyone you please... Me.... I can't... I can love to serve someone.... But love... They'd kill me for it... I'm not supposed to love anyone... Well... Masters at least... I'm not sure that's just my guess... That it's love... I just can't find anything else to call a rather awkward emotion... When we touch... That feeling... Huh! I probably sound insane to say such things!" She said softly and chuckled almost sadly at the end still keeping her eyes closed as she continued to think.

He picked up the sadness in her laugh almost immediately. "You really believe that it's love don't you? Why would you want to believe something like that, knowing what trouble you could be in?" He pinched the bridge of his nose and took a few deep breaths. "I don't understand..."

"The thing is... I don't want to... I just know it is... I thought I had felt it before.... A long long time ago... When my true best friend was still living..." Metza said sadly her face twisting slightly with forgotten pain. "I always knew at some point it would happen... And it would be a master... I knew if the slave holders didn't kill me first that would kill me... It's a poison that's unavoidable for those that aren't mindless puppets to their masters will... Those kind will never know true love... They are bound by their will to serve and die for their masters and nothing else... I'm not like that... I used to not care one little bit what my mast instructed me to do... They were cruel and heartless..." She said softly finally opening her eyes again though not much as she stared at the ceiling again still thinking.

"I'm sorry...I didn't mean to..." He sighed and walked over to the bed and sat next to her. "Are...are you going to be okay?" He couldn't believe what he was starting to believe. If anyone else had accused him of feeling anything towards someone, he would have punched in their face. Now, he was more upset with himself for knowing it was true. He sighed and put an arm round her, hoping it would make her feel a little bit better.

"... No... No I won't... You make my heart pulse and ache so much sometimes... But... It can't happen... It'll kill us... It'll kill you..." Metza couldn't suppress the whimper that came out with her words as she put her hands up to rest lightly on his arm as she looked up at him. She seemed to be more worried of this killing Hako then it killing herself... She was practically giving up her life for him you could say... Though she didn't seem to approach it how a slave would... She was coming at it as a person... One that had feelings and cared.

He sighed and put his arms round her and pulled her close to him. It felt relieving to be able to do something that he wanted, that he didn't have to worry about her catching on to how he felt. "Can't I do something? Can't I fix it so it would stop mattering? There has to be something I can do!" He looked at her and felt his anger rise. "Tell me there's something I can do, please say there is." His eyes looked into hers and silently begged her for an answer.

Metza sighed as she curled up to him and thought quietly for a few minutes then nodded softly still thinking. "well... You might be able to... Buy my freedom... It sounds kinda stupid but... That's how they do it... Until my number and records are destroyed or thrown out... I'm still a slave they'll know it when they look at me... I have the look of a slave... And I have the mark of a slave... It's just not normally seen." She said softly and leaned her head against Hako's chest feeling rather comfortable in his protective arms.

He sighed in relief. "Tell me what to do, and I'll do it. If it means that you will be happy then I'll do it." She had done more then enough for him in his eyes to earn her freedom. He closed his eyes for a moment, then kissed the top of her head. "...Thanks..." He supposed he owed her a whole lot. He had met her a cold, heartless person, who couldn't have cared if she had lived or died. Now he felt happiest with her in his arms, when he was sure that she was close to him and that he could look after her. He had something to care for, and he wasn't going to let anything else touch her, let alone hurt her.

"Okay... Then tomorrow or when we go out next we need to go to... You know that large building next to slave ally? That's where we need to go... Ow and... I know you don't like me to get hurt... But there's one thing that can't be avoided when the fine is paid... And I've seen it happen before... But you wouldn't like it and I know that just looking back on when they were trying to get the poison out and also when you kept me from falling today." Metza said softly and smiled as he kissed her head. She looked like a child in his arms... She wasn't really that close to his height... She came to... A little lower then his shoulders maybe and that was when she was standing straight up But she was okay with that, she was just happy to be with him and close to him.

He felt odd hearing that. He was happy that he would be able to free her, but he didn't like the sound of the pain she would be in. "Why...what's going to happen? Why will you be hurt?" He saw her smile as he kissed her hair and that comforted him a little. "I don't like you being hurt, I feel responsible when you are." He liked having her close, and the fact that he could be with her freely soon made him feel more hope for his life then he had before. Still the worry of the pain she was talking about tugged at his heart.

Metza looked up at Hako and tried to think of a good way to say it without saying what they would do when she was taken in the back. "well... Ow gosh... This is hard to explain... uh..." She thought for a few minutes then moved in his arms a bit moving so she could pull at her shorts a little to show a tattoo of these symbols スレイビー語 on her lower thigh. "It means slave and they'll take it off... I saw them take one of these off one girl... They weren't so gentle with it... They don't numb it... At all... This is one off the only places a master or trader does not hit their slave..." She murmured softly as she pushed her shorts back down all the way so they covered the marks again.
