After knocking her to the floor the captain stopped, he knew something was wrong but she didn't want to tell him so he simply bowed deeply and politely. Then after coming up from his bow he said, "Thank you for allowing me to spar briefly with you but, I'll no longer take up your time milady." and with that he walked over to the railing and took a good look over then he walked past the woman without so much as looking at her to go get breakfast.

"D-dammit! I'm not weak! I'm not done....!" Rhianwen sat up, groaning in pain as the effects of the previous night and the just finished scrimmage started to take thier tolls on her body. Shaking her head, the redhead leaned her back against the railing, panting and trying to ignore the throbbing headache she now had.

Then before he walked down below deck he stopped an turned to look at the woman, "Then why don't you tell me what's going on then instead of lying to me?" The male was obviously worried about her as he looked into her eyes. Knowing that she had lied to him purposely, the captain had went with it for the time being but now he wanted answers.

Flinching at the words of the captain, Rhianwen tried to bluff her way through, despite knowing she was caught. Like a hare frozen in the eyes of fear, she stumbled and couldn't come up with anything.
"J-just a lieele under the weather I guess....she whispered lamely.

Staring at the redhead he was confounded as to why she would even try to trick him in such a way, he had obviously caught her and she still tried to find a way out of it, she was entertaining if nothing else. Finally managing to get a smile across his face the captain said, "Feeling under the weather, aye?" He folded his arms over his chest and tapped his foot against the hardwood of the deck then asked in a soft voice in a soft alluring voice, "Rhia, what's really wrong with you?" He was genuinely concerned and he showed it in his features including his emerald eyes.

Rhianwen sighed, gulping as she knew there was no way out of this. "It's nothing of consequence....nothing
s wrong with me really...just...old habits..." Rhianwen was avoiding giving him everything, stalling in the unfounded hopes that he'd forget or not notice the truth. the young woman sat on the deck, leaning against the railing as usual. Closing her eyes so the captain couldn't see her lying, Rhianwen bit her lower lip.

The serpent king walked up to the woman and placed his arms to both sides of her so that she couldn't escape him. He again got as close to her as he could without them actually making contact and he stared at her knowing she had to be able to feel his breath at this point in time. Taking his right hand he stroked her cheek gently, and he asked her again, "Rhia, whats really wrong with you? Have I proven myself to be that untrustworthy that you cannot speak your heart around me?" His voice was like a beautiful melody soothing and yet so serene. His usual allure could be found underneath it all but he was even more worried than anything else. Gen wanted so badly for her to tell him what was on his mind, he needed her to.

"You needn't concern yourself....I...I just don't like sleeping. I train instead, I get stronger..." mumbled the once more beet red female. At the touch on her cheek, she stiffened, but made no move to push him away. Rhianwen made the mistake of looking into those stunning emerald eyes, and now she could not tear her gaze away, tryu as she might. "Why does it bother you?" she asked softly, soft alto voice just above a whisper.

"Is that the truth, milady?" he asked with the same voice as before. He wanted her to open up to him and it was that simple, "Rhia I simply want you to tell me what's bothering you. If I can help I will, I want to." As they stood there he inched a bit closer as his upper lip began to touch hers ever so slightly and he began to breath gently.

Rhianwen felt her heart speed up and drum against her ribs, her eyes growing wide in stunned surprise as he drew so close. Face redder than the darkest of wines, a shiver traveled down her back as she stared into the emerald orbs before her, felt the tickle of his warm, gentle breath mingling with hers as he was hovering by her lips.
"I..I don't like sleeping.....so...I keep myself awake..." she mumured in barely a whisper.
Hands at her sides, she almost whimpered in need and confusion. "W-why do you come so close...I do not understand...."

Whispering ever so slightly he responded, "I see..." Then allowing his lips to travel across hers without actually pressing them together, the serpent king pondered her question. After a few moments of thinking he replied, "Good question." Then giving in to the urges that were burning inside of him he closed his emerald eyes and gently pressed his lips to hers for a few short seconds that seemed like an eternity. They were so soft and they fit together with his almost perfectly and her breath was warm and sweet. Those few seconds seemed to lift this burden off of the shoulders of the raven haired captain, as their lips parted and he slowly backed away.

Opening his eyes and looking at Rhia, she looked so much more attractive to him now than she had before. He had assumed that all he wanted from her was a kiss but that didn't pan out to be the case. Now he wanted more but he could tell that the urges this time were more subtle, he was alright with just being in her presence and for some reason, it scared him. Turning around and walking again to his usual spot the young man looked out over the ocean and it seemed more serene than usual, the sky more special to him than before. This euphoria that he was feeling was so surreal that it was creepy and he wasn't sure that he wanted this. Something about this was wrong when he felt that kissing her was what he needed to do. Now he wasn't sure. Thinking about her for a few seconds he expected her to snap at him for what he did and he wasn't sure that he didn't deserve it.

Rhianwen froze.
His warm, tender lips pressed against hers, making her dizzy, scared, excited, uncertain, all these things and more.
Gasping slightly after he pulled away, the female touched her lips with her fingertips, eyes wide as saucers. Part of her wanted to shout, rant, cry, slap him, scream...and yet, she wanted to feel that tender moment once more. Watching him go, Rhianwen bit her lip, trying to sort out the sudden tornado of thoughts in her mind. "C-c-captain?" she quesioned in uncertainty, feeling scared of what was happening.

No! Men were just people, men were fools. She couldn't trust anyone, they all had another side, everyone was two faced! How could she have forgotten and let him lure her into such a trap?! The young redhead stood on shaky knees, watching Genesis lean against the rail. She wanted to go over and be close, and yet she wanted to be as far from his as possible. What a paradox.

The young woman had been kissed.
It was so unexpected, so unreal, she still had to feel her lips to see if they felt anything at all. What bothered her the most wasn't the kiss, it was why he had kissed her that disturbed her. People in life would do all sorts of things to get what the wanted.
What was the purpose? What were his intentions? Distraught, Rhianwen couldn't fathom a reasonable explanation. To look at him and picture Genesis as being the type to use a girl, a kiss- - for something selfish or sinister just seemed wrong. The picture didn't fit.

Without turning to face the woman, which for some reason he wasn't able to, he responded, "Yes, milady?" His tone was that of someone who was lost to confusion or entanglement. She was so special to him... yet he felt so bad for kissing her. Was he wrong? Was he right? Should he have done that? Should he have waited? How would she think of him now? All these questions ran through his mind, all going unanswered. He had nothing, while he felt he had gained so much. How could a few seconds have drastically changed how he felt this much and how everything around him appeared. It was baffling while exciting and yet still startling to him. So much had happened almost in an instant... it seemed to Genesis that Rhia had stolen his heart...

Rhianwen tentatively stepped over towards the captain, each step seeming to be a mere centimeter to yards of deck.
"You....kissed me...." came a soft coice, stating the obvious, or was it? His voice sounded almost uncertain or confused as she felt, but that couldn't be possible..right? She credited the notion to wishful thinking and imagination.
"W-why?" it was the only question she could think of, the only thought in her mind at the moment. Rhianwen was scared of all the confusing mix of feelings, thoughts and sensations inside her. She was not used to surprises and unexplained feelings, and anything that startled her or put her off guard tended to frighten her.

Turning around slowly trying to give himself time to hide the fact that he was conflicted from his body language he stared deeply into the eyes that he admired so deeply. Thinking on exactly what he should say at the moment all he could come up with was, "Yes... because I wanted to..." His voice was that solemn melody in the morning wind although he had no idea what he was thinking. Then instinctively his body move, he took a step forward towards the redhead but didn't know why. He hadn't instructed his body to do anything or so he thought and yet he took another step, slowly closing the gap of space and indecision between them. It was apparent that his body knew what it wanted but his mind was not quite reading the same page and was still scrambling to catch up.

Her body, her every instinct cried at her to flee. Yet, Rhianwen stayed where she was, watching the captain carefully, teal eyes searching his emerald ones for answers. For once, she didn't flinch or look away at his approach.
"You...wanted to?" came the soft question. Rhianwen's mind was racing, her body and senses on high alert, but her mid couldn't decide between resisting, or welcoming these new thoughts. All theses sensations that were so noticeable, yet so foreign to her were twisting her mind into knots. "What...I do not understand...what you want from me?" continued the conflicted female before him.

As his body continued to move forward his mind was steady trying to discover what was going on with the body. Her question barely registered in his mind as he continued to move forward taking very deliberate steps forward steadily closing the gap between them. After about three more steps he was finally able to manage a response, "I... I don't know... I don't feel like I want anything from you... Yet here I am finding that I want something... I want... You..." The words were like riddle to his ears no matter how majestic they sounded. It was so odd yet normal feeling to him as his body still continued to steadily close the now fairly small gap between them. When she was within his arms reach, the emeralds gazed intently into the heavenly eyes of nature as his arms wrapped around her waist and he pulled her body gently towards his own. As his hands rested gently on both sides of her waist his mind forgot everything that was going through it and the only thing that passed through it was... 'kiss her'. As of this moment nothing else around him existed, she was all that he wanted...

Rhianwen felt slightly tensed as his hands went to her waist, but she made no move to push the taller male away. The serpent king had certainly captured her full undivided attention. Face bright red in hue, the young woman found herself parting her lips, only to hear no sound. She was rendered speechless at the moment, and his words and actions confused her. Her palms rested on Genesis' chest, in a position to readily and forcefully push or shove him away. However, she could not, would not, follow through on the silent suggestion, simply resting slightly shaking hands on his chest. Rhianwen felt her gaze lock with the perfect, rich and deep emeralds that were his eyes.

Slowly raising one hand to place it to her face, Genesis gently rubbed her cheek as he stared deeply into her eyes. The man's body was trying to lean in and kiss the woman once more but he fought the gesture, for the moment at least, while his mind tried to catch up with what was happening. He felt her hands gently trembling on his chest and although he wasn't exactly sure why she trembling he wanted to make it stop. Was she as lost as he was? Or was she afraid that he was going to hurt her? He didn't know but either way his body had begun to make its move, he began to again lean in forward as he stared into her beautiful teal eyes. Slowly as he grew closer his eyes instinctively closed as his lips parted ever so slightly to fit perfectly with hers. Finally as he was inches from her embrace, Genesis could feel her warm breath on his lips he pressed his lips to hers but this time more firmly.

Eyes wide and staring into the emerald gaze of Genesis, the young woman felt her cheeks darken as an oh so gentle touch grazed her cheek. She could not recall ever getting such tender treatments from anyone in her entire life. As the halfling tried to gather her thoughts and words, she felt him lean closer, closer, no room between them as he breathed against her lips. Rhianwen was lost as to how to react. She wanted so desperately to let it continue, but her fears held fast, her inhibitions, though wearing thin, still holding her up. Before she could move or speak however, she gasped, a soft whine heard against his lips as he captured her mouth in a kiss.

Hearing the light moan escape from the woman only encouraged the captain to pull her in tighter and let whatever his body was doing, be done. She had no idea how attractive she was to him and how he felt that he needed her around but he didn't want her to actually stay. Genesis had no idea why his feelings were so conflicted but yet they were, and there seemed to be nothing he could do about it. He lifted her body up so that she was at eye level with him and he held her tight within his strong grasp. As they kissed he felt her emotions flowing between them almost as if their minds were intertwined and he could feel that she was confused like he was yet she wanted this... just as badly as he did. He embraced her tightly as he shared his feelings with her allowing his body to do as it wished.

The flushed female slowly leaned into the kiss and responded, only to gasp and pull away after a moment. "I--I can't....C-captain I'm sorry....." Rhianwen murmured sadly, pushing away, lower lip trembling as her eyes filled with uncertainty. Turning away from the man, the redhead quickly hurried off towards his cabin, refusing to look back as she fled. Although she wasn't very fast, Rhianwen tried, closing the door behind her as she reached his room.

Letting the female go he was confused as to what was happening... she seemed to want this just as much as him a moment ago but now she was running away. As she took off running towards his cabin the captain was conflicted on what to do until his body instinctively began to run after her, "Rhia..." he called out to her softly not knowing whether or not he should follow. Then as she tried to shut the door he reached his arm in the door as she smashed it which he felt would most likely leave a bruise. He made no sound to show that his arm had been hurt he simply spoke gently to the redhead as he attempted to open to the door, "Rhia... please, don't run from me. Tell me what's going on in your mind? Or should I simply leave you alone?" His voice was a soft melody accented by a deep sorrow and worry. He was scared of where they were and yet so happy to have been able to share the embrace with her. Then feeling that he should at least explain how he felt the captain admitted, "Rhia, I like you... I really do and I... my body has been reacting of its own accord. I'm confused myself, but... I, know how much I enjoy being around you. Just being in your presence has... has brightened my day. I wish I could say that I don't want you around but the truth is I do and I really like the time we spend together." He smiled a bit as he thought about the past few days, "I like the way you get flustered, and how easily you turn red... it's really cute to me. You're... a beautiful woman... and I mean that wholeheartedly." At this point his majestic voice was softly flowing with the wind, she really was a special woman.

Rhianwen was stunned, torn between being completely honest or lying to hide behind her usual cold facade, her shell.
While she could tell he was hiding the discomfort, the young woman was no fool. She felt how hard the door hit his arm, and the begginings of a bruise began to form.
Holding a glowing hand over the new injury, the bruise stopped forming before retreating, leaving clean, smooth, untouched skin below, not even an itch in it's place. Had Rhianwen's sleeves been any shorter, Genesis would see the exact bruise simply transferred to her own arm.
"I--I want to believe such words....but I fear I cannot....." came a barely audible whisper as Rhianwen looked down at the floor.
