Calling for his men to stop firing and prepare to be boarded the serpent king leaned back nonchalantly against the railing of his ship watching as the other ship approached and his crewmen prepared for impact. Then as a crewmen came up to him seeming almost frantic he listened calmly to the man then backslapped him as his eyes grew dangerously angry, "If I was worried about what was going with a few people not up here fighting I would have already had that covered. So the answer to your question is get ready to fight since you are up here. We don't have time right now to deal with missing crewmen that's how men lose their lives in battle, worrying about things that won't keep you alive." His voice was calm but it had a dangerous edge to it that told that he was furious with the man for even bringing such a thing to him at this moment in time. Looking out at the enemy ship his eyes held that same dangerous hint to them as his anger was now at the surface and plain to see in his eyes although nowhere else in his features. It seems that he would have to deal with Rhia in a little while but now was not the time, he did think she was sleeping but maybe she wasn't...

stealthpanther 04-27-2010 06:40 AM

Sucessfully scolded and reprimanded, the man scuttled off to prepare himself for battle. The enemy ship came closer, casual and yut purposeful in it's movements. The captain on the other pirate vessel appeared relaxed and confident, a slight smirk on his lips.

Rhianwen tossed and turned in her sleep, whimpering. trapped in her subconscious mind, she was clinging to the pillows, lost in her nightmares and memories. Against her chest, her pendant began to heat up, burning with an inner fire against her bosom.

Marsyas 04-27-2010 06:49 AM

Waiting calmly for the enemy to make his move and attempt to raid his ship Genesis looked on with a fierceness in his eyes while keeping a calm exterior. He stayed leaning against his railing with his arms folded across his chest knowing that this battle would end in victory for them since he was thoroughly annoyed at this point. He had felt that his crewmen were more stable mentally in the heat of battle than this but apparently he was wrong so things on the ship would change for the while. His emerald eyes looked over the ship one last time as it finally was within range for them to attack his vessel. The pale haired captain was his target although he wasn't going to attack until he needed to.

stealthpanther 04-27-2010 07:16 AM

Planks were lowered and men swung from ropes, all swarming onto the ship of the serpent king. The pale haired man simply watched in amusement, noticing the fire, the annoyance in Genesis' eyes. Standing on his ship, he watched as his men followed his orders. search and destroy. Loot them and kill any who got in his way.
As the battle raged on, several of the enemy pirates went down towards the cabins, to loot and kill any of the others.

Before they could reach Rhianwen's room, the offending pirates let out a scream and then, silence. While most continued fighting, a few men from each side turned to look in surprise, what had caused them to scream in terror like that?
Footsteps echoed throughout the narrow corridor leading to the cabins and storerooms.

Marsyas 04-27-2010 05:20 PM

Genesis watched at his ship was raided and the fight began. His pirates were well trained and seemed to be doing well against their attackers but there were more attackers than he had crewmen and they squeezed through to try and raid below his deck. This really pissed off the captain because he was alright with being pillaged when they were all either dead or captured but he wasn't alright with them trying to steal from him right in the middle of battle that was not the smartest idea in his book. So grabbing his twin pistols he held them at his sides waiting for anyone to come back up deck and he would shoot them in the head for their bold idiocy. He noticed that a few men had tried to go into his captain's quarters but were halted before they made it when he heard their cries of pain. He made no attempt to see what was going on his focus was elsewhere...

stealthpanther 04-28-2010 01:03 AM

Walking out onto the deck, Rhianwen emerged from below. Covered in blood, the redhead had an unusually twisted smirk on her face, and her eyes flashed amber. In her hands were two swords. One of them her reverse blade, flipped over so the sharp edge was where it should be, and one black sword, transparent almost, and unearthly: a shadow.

With a motion of his hand, the pale haired captain signaled his crew to go into defensive and stop. Jumping onto a plank, he made his way over to the ship of the serpent king.

"Well well well, if this isn't my lucky day....Rhia darling, what a pleasant surprise." came a silky smooth voice, almost like a gentle hiss of a snake or a low purr of a leopard. "Men, take a break, it is time for your captain to shine and conduct some buisiness!"

As she heard her name spoken by that voice, Rhia froze, eyes wide and back to their teal hue. She looked at the man in disbelief.

Marsyas 04-28-2010 04:13 AM

Watching as everything progressed, Genesis wasn't surprised when the man called out to Rhia. She seemed to have been enjoying the battle up until that moment which was what concerned him. Who was this man who came and put her on edge like this? He would need to find out so he got up from his spot and walked down to the main deck to stand up against the stair railing and called out, "I am the captain of this ship fool, address me first before you talk to any of my crew mates. State your name and your purpose." The authority in the serpent king's voice were apparent as well as the irritation of being ignored on his ship. Either way this man was dead the moment he walked on this ship although he didn't know it.

stealthpanther 04-29-2010 08:53 PM

The pale haired male chuckled, seemingly unperturbed by the serpent king's anger. With a lavish bow, it was hard to tell if it was genuine or mocking, he finally averted his eyes from the redhead to the dark haired captain of his foe.
"Of course of course! How very inconsiderate of me! Please pardon my manners, they seem to have taken off today. Allow me to introduce myself properly: I am Lucien Malidore, captain of the Purgatory. I am the grey wolf of the north. A Pleasure to make your aquaintance captain." The male was smiling charmingly the entire time, eyes dancing with excitement. "How did you ever come to know the vixen behind you?" inquired Lucien in interest, making Rhianwen stiffen even more.

Marsyas 04-29-2010 10:10 PM

With a sarcastic tone he replied, "Charmed." Then taking his time to look his enemy captain up and down then, knowing it was his turn for an introduction he replied, "My name is Genesis Skyes, the serpent king captain of the black emerald." Then allowing his face to sink back into a neutral expression he answered the man's question, "Chance. What is your relation to her might I ask." His voice had become normal sounding like that of a king's with a strong hint of authority yet gentle like an ocean breeze.

stealthpanther 04-29-2010 10:31 PM

"She has not mentioned me?" Lucien looked taken aback, then shrugged. With a step, he seemed to faze out, only to appear right beside Rhianwen. With a gasp, the redhead felt the pale man tilt her chin up and look at her with mock distress and sadness. "Why so quiet and cold dear little Rhia? One would think you didn't miss me." he sighed mournfully.

"Don't touch me!" Rhianwen snapped, eyes widening and twitching as if to close her eyes in fear. Swiping her fist out to slug him, the man jumped back with a hint of a smile. "Such a shame, were we not best friends? Did we not share secrets? To think you could be the same girl i was to marry."

"That's a lie!"

Marsyas 04-30-2010 12:31 AM

Genesis stood there stunned, though only his eyes showed that as he looked over at Rhia then back at Lucien. His gaze shifted between the two of them for a few moments in awe then he spoke, "Rhia doesn't trust me with her past and I can see why... if there are people like you roaming around in there then maybe it's best that I don't know." His voice was strong although on the inside he was slowly sinking into a depression that she said nothing to him about anything. He was breaking down inside so easily because of this woman and it was painful to move with a heavy heart. Genesis believed that must have reminded her of someone in her past since she couldn't trust him but he would stand by his crew members no matter the pain it caused him. It was his duty as a captain...

stealthpanther 04-30-2010 02:12 AM

"That hurts me, truly it does! Dear Rhia, why so hostile to me? You are making this fine gentleman so suspicious and bitter towards me. All I ever did was care. I was going to propose to you when you suddenly ran off like that. You hate me because of my brother, that's so cold-"

"SHUT UP!!!!" Rhianwen snarled, anger and hatred in her eyes. "Friends?! Yeah right! Some friend you turned out to be. Your head must be as twisted and corrupt as your black heart, because you are spouting bullcrap! I came to you after I killed that ...that vile excuse for a brother, seeking out your help. What a pleasant surprise for me to find that my suppossed best friend was as sick as he was and slammed the door in my face as he told me to quit bleeding on the porch!" Rhianwen's eyes were burning amber, the teal leaving her eyes as she spoke. The words were spat in hatred and disgust.

Never in her life had she hated anyone as much as Lucien. At the same time, never had anyone terrified her like this man. He was skilled in magik, a true magician, and a bounty hunting pirate to boot.

Marsyas 04-30-2010 02:33 AM

Figuring that the conversation had lingered on long enough Genesis took a step forward drawing his blades, "I think the time for talking is over. I've heard enough, now I'll spill your guts and leave you for the sea to swallow up and be forgotten." His words flowed from his lips with an intensity he hadn't felt since he was trying to escape for his life all those years ago. He didn't know what this man was capable of but he knew he had no intentions of dying to anyone who attacked his ship and insulted one of his crewmen.

stealthpanther 04-30-2010 02:54 AM

Lucien laughed. "You, the serpent king. You're different too. Perhaps, you are another non-human as well?"

"He's human!" Rhianwen growled, not wanting Lucien to figure out the truth.

As Lucien stepped forward casually to engage in combat, the young woman stepped between the two.
"Enough! You will not fight him! He is mine." hissed the redhead, sword drawn, the reverse blade flipped so it would resemble a normal blade.

Marsyas 04-30-2010 02:59 AM

Smiling the serpent king replied casually and sarcastically, "What I am is none of your business... for all you know I could be the God of the Sea and you would have no idea." But surprisingly the redheaded woman jumped in between them and declared this to be her fight. So respectfully Genesis took a few steps back and sheathed both of hid blades as he leaned back onto the railing of his ship and folded his arms over his chest to watch the fight.

stealthpanther 04-30-2010 03:04 AM

"You really are a stubborn one aren't you?"
"Shut up, you insignificant sack of shit!" snarled Rhianwen, pausing as she glared at and studied the smirking man before her. With a sudden movement, the young woman charged, feigning to the right with her blade.
Casually, Lucien stepped aside. "Too slow as always....you need to speed it up to fight me dear."
"Don't you dare call me any pet name!" the redhead was glaring, tense and ready for the man. For several minutes, the two exchanged blows with their blades. Metal clashed against metal, and the fight danced across a good half of the deck.

Marsyas 04-30-2010 03:14 AM

("Shut up, you insignificant sack of shit!" <--- ROFL... that was an awesome line. It tickled me so much my abs are hurting LOL)

Genesis stood back watching with a great deal of interest. It seemed that he would need to work on Rhia's swordsmanship with her. She was undoubtebly better than the rest of his crew but there were some dangerous captains sailing the seas that were possible stronger than Genesis himself. She needed to be at least almost as good as he was if nothing else, he didn't want to see her lose her life because of a slight lacking of skill.

stealthpanther 04-30-2010 03:21 AM

Finally, Rhianwen stabbed dead straight to his heart, mere inches away when the smirking captain grabbed it in his hand, ignoring the blood drawn ad it bit into his flesh. Yanking the stunned female close by the blade, he grabbed her wrist and twisted her arm behind her back. Crying out, the female thrust her heel into his gut in a back kick, quickly shoving him off. Each opponent grapped their blades once more.

However, the instant his hand made contact with Rhianwen herself, a look of panic crossed her face. Her left arm seemed a bit shaky now, weak. Holding out her right hand, she gathered Lucien's shadow and bid it to come to her.

((LoL! I'm glad you liked it. Made me smile too. I was inspired by 'the mentalist': in the most recent episode I've seen, the boss lady looks at this manupilative, lying, murdering court person, she ends her speech with -"You miserable sack of crap"))

Marsyas 04-30-2010 03:42 AM

(Oh ok cool well it was super funny to me so again I applaud you madam)

Still watching on in great interest Genesis held back any urges he had to help her because this was her fight and he had nothing to gain by jumping in. If he looked as though he would kill her then of course he would step in but as of right now he didn't need to. She was struggling but the battle wasn't lost...

stealthpanther 04-30-2010 04:17 AM

"Are you truly so foolish little Rhia?" Lucien raised a brow, smirking as she grew more and more pissed and desperate to destroy the man.
Rhianwen gripped the hilt of her sword with her right hand as well, the shadows encompasing the blade and lengthening it, the shadows ready to be used and molded as she needed. Charging once more, the redhead took the risk.
A few more blows and Rhianwen felt her hopes rise as Lucien was bleeding from several wounds. Sadly, none of them were fatal, though one came very close to puncturing a lung.

As she ran in for another killing blow, Lucien smirked at tossed a bolas at her, the chain coiling around her ankles as the weights on each end weighed her down.

"D-don't help me! I swear I'll kill you if you help me!" Rhianwen growled the warning to Genesis as well as the crew, but mostly to Genesis.

Marsyas 04-30-2010 04:31 AM

As he watched Genesis noticed that the man seemed to be toying with Rhia and simply taking his time stalking her for the kill. He could feel it in his bones as he watched but he continued to restrain himself from doing anything. As she launched another assault finally landing a few blows although none of them fatal he could see where this fight was headed. A few moments afterwards she was tied up and barking threats at him and the crew although he knew they were mainly targeted at him. So stood there with his emerald eyes gazing over them emotionless prepared to accept whatever may happen to her in this duel.

stealthpanther 04-30-2010 05:19 AM

Rhianwen struggled to remove the bolas from her ankles, almost finished when she felt Lucien grab the back of her neck and push down. "Down bitch."
Rhianwen snarled, struggling free and exchanging punches with the taller male, but with each touch, she grew weaker. The one thing he could do that made him a foe to be feared, was his ability to suck a person's energy and power with a mere touch of his hand. The redhead hissed, but her body felt weak, fatigued, drained. Grabbing the girl by her hair and back of her neck, Lucien smiled maliciously at Genesis.

"Consider yourself lucky, serpent king. Had she not been here, I would've taken you as my prize, but I will let you go this time demon. This one, has been on my list for a long time, this halfling. Now what to do with her? Shall I kill her? Sell her? I'm sure she'd fetch a good price in the slave markets, wouldn't you agree? Perhaps I could get the bounty on her head, kill the ones who I'm to give her to, then sell her? I'd make twice the profit! More gold for an old buccaneer!" he barked out a laugh, taunting Genesis.

What Lucien, or anyone for that matter, failed to notice, was that the weakened female had started to look..off. Fangs grew, nails lengthened, and her eyes turned completely amber, glowing and burning like coals. Rhianwen, had snapped. Her hair turned a dark ebony color.

Marsyas 04-30-2010 05:28 AM

Genesis simply stared at the man unaware of the changes that Rhianwen was going through at the moment. He was so full of himself it was almost comical, he thought he would kill the serpent king but he was wrong. There had been a trap laid out for the man as soon as he stepped on the ship and it would spring at the moment his emerald eyes flashed. It was a shame that he never would have stood a chance nor would he have ever laid a finger on him but it was something that was a secret that was to go unknown...

stealthpanther 04-30-2010 05:58 AM

Lucien shook his head in disbelief. "Not speaking with me are you? Well then, I'll just be taking this, and I'll see you again in the near future I hope demon. Until then, I'll make do with the money I can get for this half breed." he turned, signaling his men go back to his ship. Rhianwen growled, suddenly hissing her words.
"Release me now...foolish human, and I may let you live...." her voice was cold and bone chilling, full of malice and dry, sadistic humor. Lucien looked moderately surprised, but shrugged. "No you demon witch, now come along and I'll just sell you in the slave markets."
"You will do no...such..thing..." Rhianwen growled, a feral rumble deep in her throat.

Marsyas 04-30-2010 06:18 AM

Genesis was a little taken aback by how drastic her change was, after all he had already figured out that she was a demon of some sort. He ignored the over confident captain knowing that his vanity would be his downfall before this was all said and done. The serpent king was simply an observer as of the moment Rhia had asked him to leave this to her and he was going to do that until the final blow was struck by one or the other for better or for worse. Although now that she had revealed her true form he wondered if she was strong enough to finish him or not.
