This is an rp between Lindylu and I!
Kael had awoke that morning with the sun in his dark green eyes and the remains of a rather strange dream in his mind. He had shaken it off however in favor of getting out of bed to greet the morning. He had a ton of chores to do. He and his family lived in a small town, one of those places where everyone knows one another and noting ever stays a secret for long.
Once he woke up he rushed through his chores, not taking nearly the amount of time that he should take. He would probably pay for that later when his father noticed but he didn't care at the time. He was in a hurry to meet up with Aileen. It was part of the weekly routine, on wednesdays and fridays they would both hurry up with whatever they had to do at home and dissapear for the day. Normally they skipped rocks or just wandered around talking about whatever struck their fancy. Once in a while they just had a picnic. Kael looked forward to it all week and he didn't even care that his father was always angry with him because of it.
As soon as he finished with his chores he began the short treck to Aileen's house. While he walked he thought about what they might do today. They had been sneaking off for years now. His parents really only pretended to disaprove, they thought it was a good thing that he spent so much time with Aileen. He couldn't fathom why though.
[I may have made my character slightly immature sounding but I don't think that will last as I get a feel for our rp. Hope this is okay for a first post. My post usually tend to be longer than this when I have stuff to go off of.]

Aileen's house was situated towards the edge of town, her family owned a decent 5 acres of land. Most of it hadn't really been put to much use, just a small fence around their back yard for their two dogs and a above ground pool that was currently covered up. Further towards the back, next to an old boat shed was a decent sized chicken coup and a rabbit hutch. This is where Aileen was often found in the mornings.
Today was no different. She had been up since seven, mostly laying around and watching TV. But now she was doing what she was supposed to. Her shoulder length auburn hair pulled up in a messy ponytail swished from side to side as she tromped across her yard with a water hose and a bucket heading back towards the chicken.
She cursed herself for lazing around for so long though, if she took to long she'd be late for her normal Wednesday and Friday routine with Kael. Aileen yanked open the door and shooed the chickens away from it with her boots.
"Shoo shoo!" She grumbled as she nudged one large white hen "If you don't let me In I can't feed you!"
She hobbled around holding the basket sidling over to the feeder that hung in the corner. The Chickens following her every step, clucking busily and pecking at her boots.

Kael was about to knock on Aileens door when he heard her voice coming from the rear of the house. She seemed to be talking to the chickens. Kael grinned and walked himself around to the back yard, he entered the fenced in area and walked towards the chicken coop.
"Late start this morning Aileen?" He called and brushed a piece of curly blond hair that the wind blew into his face. I need a haircut, he thought idly wondering how many things other than feeding the chickens Aileen had to do before she'd be free to go. One of Aileens dogs ran over barking happily, he knelt and let it lick his face while he pet it. He had been over here enough that the dogs knew him as a friend. He looked through the door of the chicken coop to see Aileen wading through the chickens.

Aileen shook her head as she smiled and looked back at her old friend.
"No I got everything else done...I just forgot about these feathery fatties.." She chuckled as she dumped the feed in the box and threw some around the cage.
"I don't have to get the eggs till this afternoon...so I'm done once I water them."
Finally free of the chickens she reached out and grabbed the water hose popping it in the little water dish at watching it overflow till the water was clear.
She pulled the hose out when she was finished and started to rise off her hands as she climbed out, kinking the hose afterward.
"Can you go cut the water off while I go change my shoes?" She asked Kael with a smile.

"Good," He laughed. "I feel so restless today. You know I hate being cooped up at home," he added standing back up. "Go ahead and change your shoes, I got the chicken water," He laughed once more with a grin at Aileen. He walked over to the water spout and leaned over to turn it off he grabbed the spout and a turned. A huge spurt of water flung into his face. He turned it quickly in the other direction where untill it turned off.
"Aileen!" He yelled loudly, "Your hose hates me!"
[Sorry it took so long and is soo very short]

Aileen had hurried up her porch steps and kicked off her boots darting inside quickly.
She came back out just in time to see Kael getting sprayed in the face.
Laughing loudly she leaned over her porch railing and grinned down at him, "Yup! That's exactly it! That one particular hose, that new one...it hates you...your going to wake up and find it's crawled into your bed one night.." She teased.
Shaking her head she hurried down the steps in her sneakers carrying two dog treats which she promptly tossed towards the opposite side of the fence.
She watched the little boarder collie and the old black lab take off after them and started shoving Kael towards the gate.
"QUICK! Quick! Escape while they are distracted!" Aileen shouted happily as she pushed him.

Kael laughed at Aileen's teasing about the hose, "But it really does hate me!" He complained. He watched the two dogs dash off after the coveted treats. He grinned and allowed Aileen to push him towards the gate. As soon as she was out after him he closed it behind them.
He headed for the trail that they usually took, it forked several ways about a half a mile down and they usually just wandered down one of those trails. Once in a while they would go off the beaten path and wander through the tall trees.
"So what shall we do today?" He asked her. He had no particular goals for the day other than getting out of the house.

She walked beside him like always, she gave a short little shrug and looked up at the sky.
"I didn't get a chance to pack anything for lunch today...so We'll have to pick something up when we're done" She said looking over at him with an apologetic smile, "I would have but...ehh Got distracted by day time TV"
Looking around Aileen shrugged "Is there anywhere we haven't gone yet?" She asked, eyes darting back to her companion, "I mean anywhere we just haven't explored?"

"Tv? Really? I've been up for hours doing chores and you spent the morning watching tv? Its not fair!" He laughed teasing, he didn't mind chores and wouldn't have watched tv anyways. He couldn't sit still for that long ever.
He thought for amoment and then said, "Well we didn't get very far down the sinkhole path," he said thinking of the path they had gone down and he ended up walking into mud up to his chest and rising. "We could go around the hole and see whats past that," he shrugged. That actually sounded like fun, if they could get around the sink hole without any issues. It shouldn't be that hard to, they could just walk over fallen trees and the like till they got clear. He looked over at Aileen to see what she thought.

Aileen seemed to consider it for a bit and then nodded, "Alright, but I'd like to...avoid the mud, as much as possible, and we'll have to find a stick or something to test it all with, I really don't feel like getting you out of there again." She sighed.
The she laguhed "And MAN was my mom pissed when I came home, arms and chest all muddy, She lectured me for hours on how I was to old to come home like that anymore". Aileen grinned a bit at the thought.
"Y'know, there might be an old mine shaft or something...I mean that's usually why those things happen right? Seeing as we don't have much plumbing out this way." She said rationalizing it, "But then I've never heard of any mines either."

"Don't worry," Kael smiled and said, "I have absolutely no plans on going near the mud at all. I really don't want to ruin another white shirt he said looking at the shirt he was wearing. He had been wearing white the last time they went down that path and he hadn't been able to get the mud out. He stuck his hands into his jean pockets as they walked.
"You do have a point though about the mine shaft thing though," he paused. "We need to be really careful. I don't want to have to explain to your parents how I let you brake your leg or something." He laughed and went towards the left middle path.

Aileen followed him her thumbs hooked in her pocket as she walked.
"Well yeah but I doubt that will happen" She said smiling "I Haven't broken my leg once in all our adventures... I'm more worried you might get hurt...its usually you who I end up saving or running to get help for."
After she said this she stumbled a little falling into his back with an "Omph!".
Her hands grabbed Kael's shoulders as she kept balance and pushed her self back up before quickly turning around to see what she'd tripped over.
There was a moderately sized rock sitting in the path, sticking about four or five inches out of the ground. It was a dark gray, and didn't really look like many of the rocks normally found in the area. Intricate intertwining swirls and whorls were carved on its surface, covering most of it. Almost making it look like some sort of tiny rocky brain.
"was that here last time?" She muttered furrowing her brows a little in confusion.

Kael flushed, "Aww you havn't had to go for help that often," he protested. "I just have bad luck thats all," he added scuffing the ground with his shoes.
After that he was forced to catch his balance as Aileen tripped and fell into him. Maybe I'm not the only one with bad luck he thought amused to himself. "Are you okay?" he asked turning around with her to see what she'd tripped over. Aileen didn't often trip. He was the clumsy one.
"Was that there last time?" Aileen asked. He was pretty sure it hadn't been. That rock would be impossible to miss. "I don't think so," he said aloud squatting down next to it to see it better. "I mean we would have noti-Ahh!" His words were cut short as the ground under his feet gave way sending him tumbling into darkness.

Aileen let out a sharp little scream as the ground gave out below them. She managed to grab on to the outer edge. For a few seconds her hands clawed and tore at the dirt trying to get any hold on something stable. When she thought she'd finally found something hold onto, it crumbled in her hands.
Screaming like a little girl she tumbled in the hole with Kael. In those terrified seconds though that fall seemed to go on forever.
She landed feet first, her legs quickly crumpling beneath her as she fell face first onto something soft and wet. Her legs ached but it didn't feel like anything was broken, what ever she had landed on had cushioned her fall enough that she was just stunned. Aileen lay there her eyes closed her hands up over her head, as she tried to ignore the fact that she'd managed to twist an ankle when she fell.
As the shock started to ware off she began to notice little things, the ground was soft and fuzzy and smelled like her yard after a heavy rain. She didn't open her eyes, she was so scared she'd see Kael twisted in some horrible mess that she just didn't want to look. She was content to just lay here in the cold wet, what ever. Plus she really wasn't to sure she wanted to know what she was laying in.
