Jason noticed her blush and reached up to run his fingers through her hair. He twirled the golden ends around his fingers gently, watching as the light danced through the strands.

Maria began to blush deeper as she felt Jason's finger running through her hair.She wondered if Jason liked her like she liked him.She wanted to say that she liked him and confess her love though she was too afraid.

Jason paused at the look on her face. "What is it, Maria?" Maybe the gesture had been a little too forward. He began to unwind his fingers from her hair.

Nothing's wrong."Maria said with a smile as though she was avoiding confessing to him.Come on why can't i spill it out!?just say you like him! Maria could feel her heart beating faster at how close Jason was too her.

"To be honest, you don't lie very well," Jason commented. Her emotions were so easy to read at times. Figuring out her thoughts usually wasn't that big of a challenge. Yet now he didn't want to assume anything.

"Yeah..i never was a good lier."Maria said with a laugh.Though she didn't want to tell Jason what was on her mind or what she was thinking about.

Jason let his hand drop to his side, now free of her hair, and closed his eyes again. He wanted badly to simply reach into her mind and just drag out whatever was hidden there. But of course, he couldn't. He wanted to keep what trust they had between each other and let it grow. Prodding around in her mind was a sure why to destroy that.

Then again, why was he keeping the thoughts in his head bottled up? He had already shown how he felt toward her, there was no trying to deny that now. He trailed his fingers through the sand, deep in thought.

"Maria...what would you say if I had feelings for you?" he asked in a soft voice.

Once she heard Jason Spoke of the what if he had feelings for her she smiled."what would i say?hm..i would probably say that I also have feelings for you."Maria said as she slightly blushed. i hope this isn't a dream... maria thought to herself.

Jason opened his eyes again, his smile growing more cheerful. Her words had a relaxing effect on him that he couldn't even begin to describe. He had nothing to say in reply, but words seemed useless right now anyway. He reached up again to trace along her cheek.

When Jason smiled as his smile became more cheerful she began to smile as well. i wonder...if he asked me that does that mean he likes me?or is he just curious to what my answer would be? Maria wondered as she began to blush deeper as she felt Jason trace along her cheek a bit. his hands are soft.He makes me feel so free and safe...like nothing ever will seperate or hurt us as long as we have each other

"You're beautiful," Jason whispered, his fingers stroking gently along her jawline. Then he laughed softly, a sound of pure joy that he hadn't heard from himself in such a long time. "Where should we go from here, hmm? You're choice."

Maria couldn't seem to stop blushing as Jason was giving her such nice compliments."w-we can try to...be together."Maria said nervously hoping he would say yes.

Now it was Jason who began to turn a little red. He hadn't expected her to take it that way. He had mean't something along the lines of where to travel. Though now that he thought about it, he should've worded that better.

Still....he couldn't ignore this now. He knew perfectly well what she mean't, and he wanted it as well. No matter what trouble he had gone through to care for her, or what might happen in the future, she was more than worth it. He felt complete with her around.

He smiled again. "We can always be together, Maria."

When Maria heard Jason's words she smiled.She probably knew he wasn't talking about lovers.She was alright with that.Though if Jason just stayed by her side she would be fine.She felt complete and indistructible with Jason.

"What if we go to a tropical island..since it seems we can't stay here much longer."Maria said looking at Jason with a cute face.

"Ah, you did mention something about that earlier. An island would be nice, but which one are you thinking of?"

"Which one?Im not sure.Any of them are fine by me."Maria said with a smile.At the moment Maria couldn't name any because she really doesn't know the names of the islands.

"There is a popular place I've heard of along the African coast. It's a small island, but some have already set up homes there."

"Sounds great!"Maria said cheerfully.Being on an island with Jason is one of Maria's fantasies she's thought about.Though when she thought about it she usually starts to blush,though she was slightly beginning to blush.Now's not the time to be blushing! Maria told herself in her head.

Jason smiled and laughed. "Very well. We'll set out for the island tonight. We can rest here until then, unless you would like to go elsewhere."

"No im good i like it here."Maria said with a smile.Maria loved watching the water.She also loved seeing how beautiful the moon shined its reflection in the water.Sort of like when Maria and Jason had first met.Maria couldn't believe how fast time had flown by from when they had first met.To her it was a shock that she would actually be going to an island with Jason instead of staying at the hospital.She was very excited to be going with Jason.

"I used to come down here a lot when I first moved to the city. They never bothered to rebuild this part of the docks."

"oh i see."Maria said keeping a smile on her face as she listened to Jason talk.

Later that night Jason led Maria out from under the docks to where a small modified yacht was waiting nearby. They came into line behind others planning to escape, mothers and children mostly. An older woman in front of them gave a fearful glance at the two before gathering her three children close.

When an older woman gave Maria and Jason a fearful glance,Maria wondered if the woman thought they were criminals or they were onto something.Maria held onto Jason's hand a bit tightly as she was a bit scared for some reason.She had never done this so she was scared.

"Don't be scared. These people have every right to be wary of each other. Spys have gotten in more than once before," Jason explained. After a few more minutes a man in a raincoat opened the gate in the rail of the yacht and began letting people in. The line moved slowly as the man checked over each person before letting them pass.
