Jason finished preparing his coffee and took the cup to walk to the long, low window of the living room. Everything was dark outside, not even a neon sign shone through the night. Far away he could see the tiny lights of the Squad just starting to leave. A plane rumbled overhead. Likely it belonged to the city; one of the pilots employeed to drive the Squad out before morning. Sometimes they jumped ahead on that task, which Jason had no problem with. He would do the same in their position.

Maria couldn't seem to fall asleep for the rest of the night.Maria sat up in her bed facing the window as the wind blew. i hope this change works i don't want to be stuck in this place here any longer Maria thought as she curled up her legs toward her chest as she put her head down on her knees as she slightly closed her eyes then reopened them hoping dawn would approuch sooner than time is going

Jason finally fell asleep in his chair just before the first tinge of morning light appeared at the horizon. He woke later when the sunlight began to stream in through the window. He stared blankly into the light for a moment, blinking the sleep from his eyes, when everything that had happened last night snapped back into his mind. He got up immediately and went to change, cursing to himself the whole time. He had planned to be at the hospital earlier if he hadn't slept in like that.

As The morning began approuching Maria began to breath a bit heavily as she clenched onto the sheets on her bed. my whole entire body hurts! Maria thought as it was too painful to speak.Maria began to stand up as she was in pain as she hoped Jason would get there soon.Because the pain was a bit too painful she knocked over a few things from her pain as glass was shattered on the floor "it hurts!..it hurts!"Maria shouted a bit as a few of the nurses heard her and came rushing toward her room

Jason got back the hospital with only a few delays in traffic. He had no trouble finding a parking space, thankfully, and he quickly went in to head up to her room.

Once he reached the right hall, he hurried to Maria's door and tried the handle. Almost instantly a nurse poked her head out and frowned at him. She looked a little frazzled. "Visiting times are later this evening, if you please," she snapped before attempting to shut the door. He moved to stop her, staring down at her intently. "What is going on?" he demanded. The nurse shook her head and pushed in on the door. "Never you mind. Now leave before I call security!"

As Maria heard the nurse to tell Jason to leave she didn't want him to she tried to speak but she couldn't as she could feel the pain more stronger as she put her hands on her head i don't want Jason to leave..i need him!why can't i just say that!?why can't i speak!? Maria thought as she couldn't bear the pain without Jason by her."d-dont let him leave i need him"Maria said as she looked toward where Jason was as she was sitting on her bed as she had tears in her eyes a bit from the pain wishing it would go away but it hadn't done so.

Jason felt a little torn as he caught a glimpse into the room. Maria was curled up in on herself on the bed, the penguin wedged between her knees and her stomach. The nurses around her were trying to calm her as they prepared a sedative. He had to do something, but he didn't want the nurse to call security on him. He closed his eyes and concentrated, focusing his energy and directing it to the nurses gathered in the room. All at once they froze, one just about to prick Maria with the syringe full of sedative.

Jason sighed and gently moved the frozen nurse at the door and leaned the woman against the wall. He looked back down the hall and after seeing that he had caught no one's attention, he went in and closed the door. He moved aside a few more of the nurses and scooted in beside Maria on the bed. He laid a hand gently on the girls shoulder. "Maria," he said softly, hoping she could hear him.

As Maria could hear Jason's voice she was so lost at what was happening whats going on? i can hear Jason but im scared on what's happening to me and everything happening around meMaria thought to herself as she wanted the change to be done with soon but she knew it was too late to turn back now

Jason fingered at the sleeve of her hosipital gown a little. There was nothing much he could do for her except sit here and wait it out. He was relieved though that he had gotten here when he did. The sedative would've stopped the process, and likely have made the pain worse.

Maria was frightened about how long the process was taking she was afraid that she wouldn't be the same optimistic girl that she was when she had first met Jason. my whole body aches and its in pain...i wonder if i can really deal with the pain if it lasts anymore

Jason looked out the window at the sun that was peeking over the rooftops. The time was nearly up. He leaned in closer to Maria. "It's almost over," he assured her.

As Maria heard Jason telling her it was almost complete she felt happy at that even though she was in pain so its almost over?i hope...i will still be myself after this i don't want to change into someone who isn't nice or anything like that

Jason watched as Maria's trembles began to subside and he smiled. He looked up at the clock on the wall. Right on time. Hopefully the pain hadn't got to her too much. "How do you feel now Maria?" he asked.

"b-better"Maria said as she smiled a bit."though my head still hurts"Maria said with a bit of a laugh as her head felt a bit tender on the sides she hoped she didn't injure herself near her head or anything like that

"You should take a look at yourself," Jason suggested as he moved off the bed, pushing aside the nurses a bit more. The blood he gave had taken away every little flaw in her body, even the tiny natural wrinkles of her face. She looked like a perfect little porcelein doll. It was the same with every young demon. It would be hundreds of years from now before any sort of wrinkle began to show again on her.

Maria was a bit confuzed to what he had said.take a look at...myself? Maria thought as she stepped in front on the mirror as she didn't look like she way too thin she looked just right..she actually looked normal Maria smiled at Jason and hugged Him "thank you very much" She said with a smile

Jason was a little taken aback by the sudden hug from Maria. He stiffly raised his hand and patted her head. "Your welcome," he answered. "Now I have to take the spell of these nurses. Think you can convince them that you're alright?"

"yeah i think i gotta pretty good idea for a lie"Maria said with a smile as she went over back toward her bed and sat back down on it as she smiled at Jason i actually look...normal... Maria thought as she felt so happy Jason had helped her with everything

Jason stepped just outside the door and glanced back once at Maria. "I'll be waiting out in the lobby," he said with a smile. He then took down the spell and closed the door as the nurses came back to life. The group of women blinked and looked around at the room and back at Maria. The nurse at the door quickly opened it again and looked out into the hall for Jason. He was already gone. She shook her head and muttered to herself. The nurse beside Maria's bed with the needle looked down at the smiling girl in confusion.

"s-sorry i freaked out earlier i had a panic attack because i had a really painful nightmare"Maria told the nurses hoping they would believe her and keep those needles away from her and not put them in her body as she hated needles."i hope all of you can forgive me for my foul Behavior"Maria said as she smiled up at them holding the penguin plushie that Jason gave her

The nurse close to Maria looked back to the older women by the door for advice. The older women frowned, but nodded. "If you're sure about that dear, but we'll be listening in if you need anything else," she said. She was the only one who didn't look convinced. The nurses gathered up the gear and left the room one by one, leaving the older nurse in there last. The women glanced once more around the room before slowly closing the door.

Maria had a weird feeling of the last nurse. i feel like she thinks everything is suspecious. As soon as all the nurses were gone and out of the hallway Maria changed out of the hospital gown into a white night gown as she had ballet looking flats on and snuck into the elevator pushing the number of the lobby.As it opened she looked around for Jason where is he? She asked herself looking around for him leaving the elevator so other people can go inside.

Jason looked up as he noticed a familiar blonde head leave the elevator. He smiled and stood. "Glad to see you could make it, Maria."

Maria smiled at Jason."i wouldn't miss this opportunity seeing you"Maria said as she slightly blushed when she said that phrase w-why does that phrase make me blush..thats completely odd Maria thought as she smiled cheerfully

"Same to you. Now, how about we head back up and see to getting you checked out of here?" Jason asked as he held out his hand.
