Evellynn hummed to herself as she skipped through the maze. Yes, skipped. she figured if she was going to be stuck in the maze then she may as well make life a little more interesting for herself. She began singing her song at the top of her lungs while spinning around in circles. She always found spinning fun. It was fun attempting to run in a straight line afterwards, although sometimes it became painful. As she was spinning, some colour caught her attention. It was thee first flash of colour she had seen all day. Maybe it was another person. she looked down at her outfit, which was now a sunny yellow. Her clothes had been the only colour she had seen so far, it must be another person ahead. She tried to move forwards, but her world was still spinning and she ended up walking into the wall. "Oh. I guess I'll just pause for a second."
When the world was spinning considerably less, Eve pushed off from the wall and started running in the direction of the colour. Considering she was still a little dizzy, this must have been an interesting sight for anyone around her. She stopped short in front of the colour. It wasn't person, but instead was a coloured door. It was an orange coloured door to be exact. She stuck her tongue out at it. She didn't like the colour orange, but she was going to go through it anyway. As she walked through and closed the door behind her she gave the door a second look. "I really don't like orange" She held up her sleeve against the door. "Hmm, I think sunshine yellow is a perfect colour for this." And as the door changed yellow, she turned and walked down the hall. |
Blinking, Aleu watched as the female walked right past her. "HEY!" With her hands on her hips, she looked at the female. "Now why did you change that door? I just so happen to like the color orange."
Her tone changed some as her attitude dropped. Perhaps Aleu had finally realized there was another person with her. "Oh, hey! Come back!" Tagging along after her, Aleu clicked on her iPod. Pushing her headphones back so she could hear the person, Aleu turned the volume up some more. As the MP3 player began to play, Aleu squeed some. It was an Avril Lavigne remix male song. Humming along with it, her eyes closed some. "Oh," she finally spoke up, "I'm Je... Aleu Black." Jennifer was her old name. But, being here in this odd place, she would take on the name she's always wanted - Aleu Wolvia Black. |
Evellynn abruptly spun around to face the girl following her. She stared at her for a second and then wrinkled her nose. "Orange? really? It's not really flattering to anyone's complexion though. Not that tone at least. If you prefer I can make it on the peachier side of orange." Eve strutted a little closer to the door and started changing the hue until she got the perfect peachy colour. "There, Now it's an acceptable orange and we can all be happy." with a little skip in her step, evellynn continued back the way she had originally been going. She changed her outfit to match the peachy colour of the door. She was really enjoying herself and her new found powers.
She called back to Aleu as she continued exploration. "I'm Evellynn Daae." That wasn't her real name, but she had gotten so used to it in her old life that she just continued with it. She didn't like her old name anyway, and had changed it when she became a fashion designer. Kind of like Coco Chanel. |
"Oh? Well, it's nice to meet you!" Aleu giggled as she caught back up with the female. "So, you can change the color of things? That's pretty spiffy! I'm rather jealous! But it's okay, I'm sure I have some crazy power... well, I hope I do at least!" Smiling with a friendly grin, Aleu fell in sync with Evellynn's pace. "So, are we the only ones here?" Her blond bangs flopped down into her face. Covering her left eye, Aleu blew up at them. Snickering, she continued skipping along.

BEFORE THE MAZE I had been walking from my musical rehearsal back to my dorm. It was late at night and everything seemed to be just a little more creapier than normal. I thought I was being followed. It wasnt uncommon seeing how I am one of the only blonde haired blue eyed girls in the school and aparently a teacher has an infatuation with that kind of girl. I turned around after hearing a voice and saw only a flash of blinding light. I dropped all of my belongings where they were. Whats happening to me? AFTER THE LIGHT The next thing she knew Jaden woke up in what seemed to be laying next to a river. When she looked in the river that was right in front of her, she found that she was asian instead of caucasian. She use to be a blonde blue eyed girl but now she was an asian with green eyes and clothing she had only dreamed of wearing. What was going on? Where was she? She found what seemed to be a name where she had been sleeping. Jaden Corell. This seemed weird. That was the name she had always wanted. What more was she than just her normal human self? Was there more? Walking around she found that there was a town to one side, a city to the other, and an ocean to another. This was all too confusing. Was this a dream or reality? She started to run towards the town. The scene changed as she ran, to an area with an peach colored door which seemed to be a little strange. There were two people there. Running up to them she spoke. "HEY... Do you two know whats going on here?" |
"Not a clue!" Aleu said spinning around. "Although, I can tell you this. It's like everything I've always wanted to be had come true." Stroking her dark blond hair, the female smiled. "Oh, I'm Aleu."
She smiled at the peachy door. "I must say, I do like the new color." Another song came to her iPod. "Oh! I lufferz this song!" With her tail wagged, Aleu bobbed her head to the song. Her horn-like ears twisted back some. "Hmmm?" "Hmpt. I think we ought to leave soon." Aleu's eyes were an eerie red color at this point. "I have a bad feeling about this hallway to the maze." Shuddering, Aleu noticed some confused looks. "Ha ha. I'm Wavikz. I'm... Aleu's demon." |
"oh sorry... Im Ka... Jaden." Kaitlynn use to be her name but now she felt like going by the name of Jaden. Not only had it been written on the place where she had awoken but it was her favorite name. She thought about it for a couple minutes. Everything she wished she could be. Everything Jaden had ever wished for would probably be coming true. This probably meant that she would be able to do things only Wiccans can do. Thats what she always wanted to be, was a wiccan. Her friends and her had practiced that kind of art so many times it almost felt natural just to be one.
The girls eyes changed after a minute and there was another voice coming from her. This made her believe what the girl had said before about having everything she had wished for. It was a demon that was inside of her as it so stated. She wanted to try her wiccanry out and looked up to the sky, chanting the incantations in her head over and over again to be able to do something. If she didnt have the means of being able to chant out loud or even use the candles then that is what her friends and her did. Snapping her fingers, a flame appeared right there at the tip. "Cool." She said to herself. |
evellynn just watched the two of them. She was mildly curious when Aleu's demon came out. But she figured if she now had powers, why can't this girl have a demon. She turned her attention to the new girl. "I'm Evellynn Daae. Or Eve." She saw the girl snap some flame at her finger tip. She should probably watch out for these two. As far as she knew so far, Eve had no defensive powers, just the ability to change the colours of things. But she did know that she was in much better shape and much stronger than she was before. A change of colour caught her eye and when she looked at her clothes again she noticed they had turned black. This was the first time that she realized her mood could affect the colours of things. I better watch out, or my moods could betray my thinking. She focused on her nail and hair and made them a vibrant blue, making it appear like the colour change was purposeful.
"I think we should keep exploring." She tried to sound as bubbly as possible, as per her previous behavior. "Maybe there's food or something neerby. After all, it's stupid to have a doorway that leads to no where." |

Everything changed suddenly as Drina took a step forward and before she knew it she was landing on her butt between three people. 'Ouch' she stood rubbing at her butt and looked at them. "Um....hello" raising her hand in a small wave Drina realized she landed right in the middle of their conversation as she caught the tail end of it. 'Food? How could there be food here?' She moved so that her back was against the wall the sound of her sound knocking against her legs a reminder of just what she had become. |
Evellynn looked down at the floor where a new person had suddenly appeared. "Man, This is turning out to be like an all girl boarding school. Except worse, because at least boarding school has a bed and food" Eve walked forward a little away from the group. she wished there was something different around here. She figured that somewhere had to be different. It couldn't all be a maze. Her mood was failing very fast, and there was nothing she could do to stop it. Eve paused in the middle of the path she was on. There was a fork in the road. As she looked between going left or right, she stood there playing with her ring. what to do.

Jaden saw the new girl. The other girl had asked for food. What was going on? This place was getting packed. Not only was it getting packed but it was getting packed with girls. "Well at least we dont have to worry about any guys coming after us." She muttered to herself as she followed Eve. "Hey Eve... You ok?..." Looking between the two pathways she decided left was probably a better way to go. There was a door there, a little ways down that could be a cafeteria or something. "Hey.. If you want we could go left and see whats passed that door over there."

Eve looked at the girl beside her. Jaden, she believe her name was. Eve had a bad memory, so she wasn't exactly sure. "Going left seems like a good idea." She stated to walk towards the door, hoping that something interesting would lie behind it.

The first thing she had noticed upon waking was that a few things about her had changed... her hair was no longer the usual brown, but white- and styled a bit differently than before. Her clothes had changed. Gone was the beat-up attire she normally wore, and replaced a black wraparound top and matching pants with tabi boots. Everything fit so comfortably... The weapons she carried with her seemed to be brand new and of the highest quality- not the usual outdated equipment she was stuck with in her previous life... it had been a goal of hers to obtain a better sword and other necessities that most ninja carried. Now she had what she wanted.
She had already thought this may be a dream... but as Tavi wandered throughout the maze, she could feel everything so perfectly... the weight of her sword and weapons as they hung from her back and hips, the shifting of her clothes against her skin. One of the first things she had done to test if this was a dream was to take off her white mask. Almost instantly, she could feel her chest tighten a little, her heart rate quicken. It was the beginning of the onset of an asthma attack. Putting it back on her face, she had sighed. That was one thing that hadn't changed, for one reason or another. Up ahead, she heard someone- or something coming around the corner of the twisting hallway. Heavy thundering footsteps soon told her this being was rushing her. She drew her sword and went into a ready stance as an animal-a monster, rather- came around the corner, eyes bright and wild, four legs gaining speed as it coiled to attack. |
Aleu shrugged and follow along. She wasn't really a follower, but she wasn't really a pushy leader either. Giving in and still somewhat perplexed by the place, she waltzed up to the door. Knocking on it, she giggled. "Looks like no one is home." With a cheesy grin plastered on her face, she turned the nob.
BAM! Blinking and flailing her arms to defend herself, Aleu burst out laughing as she spied another female through the doorway. "Lawlz! Who would have guessed opening a door could rescue someone!" Smiling again, she poked at the KOed creature. "Well, it wasn't the plan, but hell it works, right?" |
Jaden smiled as Aleu opened up the door. It was funny. Her entire personality seemed like the positive side always came out more than the negative. Then again, Jaden didnt know her very well. They had all taken the left road towards the door when a creature came up and was K.O.ed by it. "Nice hit."

"Thank you, thank you." Aleu smiled as she walked over to the other person. "Sup! I'm Aleu. This is Jaden and this is Eve. Her full name is far too long, so I'm going to call her Eve... well, if that's okay with you." Laughing sheepishly Aleu closed her eyes. "Hmmmm, I am hungry. I don't suppose you happened to pass any yellow doors on your walk over here, have you?" Aleu questioned Tavi. "I have this strange feeling that yellow doors are the easiest doors to open... but I could be wrong."

Tavi was startled by the creature suddenly coming to a halt due to a door opening in its path. In a second, the beast was stunned and slumped to the ground. Tavi didn't let up on her stance as she waited for whomever was on the other side of the door to emerge. She watched as three girls emerged, all apparently from different places... it was obvious that all of them were wanderers too, like her. Tavi's shoulders relaxed, and she allowed her hand to lower, sheathing her sword. She stood and watched as Aleu approached her, though Tavi kept a hand rested on the dagger that hung at her hip. They didn't seem like much of a threat, but she would remain cautious nonetheless. Tavi looked at her through the slits in her mask. "I'm Tavi. It's nice to meet you all." She said calmly.
She glanced at the creature on the floor. "Thank you for helping me, although obviously you didn't mean to." She pondered briefly at Aleu's question. "I haven't seen anywhere with food around, or any yellow doors for that matter. I'm assuming everyone here is as lost as I?" |
Eve shuffled from one foot to another. She had always hated larger groups of people she didn't know. Actually, she didn't like small groups of people she didn't know. She had always wished she was more outgoing, but she was just so awkward around people. She stood there silently as everyone else conversed around her. She had been so friendly when she first met them, able to talk to people and everything. But now she felt like she was holding back and keeping to herself, and there was nothing she could do about it. It was like mood swings, yet different. Social swings. She smiled to herself as she moved to the outskirts of the group and just watched them, her arms wrapped around herself. In her old life her boyfriend was her security blanket, but he wasn't here with her. He was social so she didn't have to be. She didn't know what she was going to do here. Eve wondered how easily she could slip away unnoticed.

Christopher slowley opend his eyes, even thogh his vision was still a bit fuzzy, he could feel he was laying on soft grass. Chris could smell fresh air and could hear the sound of a stream trickling past somewhare near. He laid there for a few minutes trying to remember whare he was. I'm pritty sure I didn't go out drinking last.... He thaught to himself.
As he slowley sat up he noticed long silkey brown hair fall to the sides of his face. After taking a moment for this information to regester Chris gasped and suddnly scrambled towards the stream he had heard earlier; as he moved he could tell his whole body felt diffrent. ".....I-is this really me!?" Chris stuttered in great confusion. He felt his new face as tuns of questions raced through his mind the greatest being: What happend to me? Christopher spent quite some time trying to accept the fact that he was now diffrent. Not only was his body diffrent, but things he just knew were diffrent. It was hard for him to explain, but for some reason he could tell that somewhare in that maze were atleast 2 types of souls roaming about. Various sizes of souls that made chris feel uneasy and on guard, and a small group of souls that felt bright and feminine. Chris figured that sitting around in confusion would do him no good so he decided to get up and search for the small group of what he assumed was girls, hoping that perhaps they knew what had happend. Feeling much lighter than normal, Chris was able to move quite quickley, avoiding the spirits that made him uneasy. He had discoverd that they were indeed demon/monsters, so it only made sence they made him feel that way. Eventually Chris found a peachey colored door which he thaught was a bit akward. Why not just plain orange? or just plain pink or yellow? Chris shruged and pushed the door open, it wasen't properly latched so he assumed that this was the door that the others had used. Gazing far down the hallway Chris spotted a group of girls and began to walk towards them.[/left] |
Eve noticed a man walking towards the group. Being on the outside, eve noticed quite a bit of the people around her. But as she saw another coming towards them she began to panic. If the group kept growing at this rate she would suffocate. All she could think about was how much she wanted to be hidden. She took another step back but hit the wall. She sank down to the floor and pulled her knees to her chest and sat there. Then a thought hit her.
She had the ability to change the colours of things. Did that mean she could make herself invisible? Or at least less noticeable? She set her mind to thoughts of invisibility and concentrated for a few seconds. When she opened her eyes she could tell she now blended with her surroundings. She took a deep breath. She felt that now since she was invisible, that she could take a quiet moment to think. She looked at the group of girls she had somehow found herself to be part of. It wasn't really that large. It was strange she would panic about such a small group. She felt silly. She just needed to calm down. She could handle a group of people. She watched them talk amongst themselves, and tried to channel their energy. She was just as bubbly as they were moments ago. She sat in the calm of her invisibility a few moments longer. |
Chris watched the girl fade away but even when his eyes could not see her he could still feel whare she was. Chris felt it would be far easier to talk to one of the girls at first rather than trying to take on a whole pack of them. He laughed a bit to himself, it was just like in school how girls always travel in groups. well most of them atleast.
Christopher walked right up to the girl who had removed herself from the pack and knelt down to be more level with her. "You know.... you really should stay with the group, there are alot of monsters around this maze" Chris smirked, proud of the fact that he knew whare she was, even if he didn't have these "powers" he still saw whare she sat down. |
Eve, a little startled when the guy walk directly to her and started talking to her, slowly let the colour come back to herself. She appeared in Pastel colours, hair eyes and clothes. She looked into the eyes of the guy kneeling beside her. "Well, I was hoping that they would go for the people more visible. They'd be easier to catch maybe." She smiled at him. She knew he was right, She was unarmed with no offensive power that she knew of. She played with the ring on her finger as she thought. "Maybe you're right. Some say there is safety in numbers."

Christopher smiled politely back at the girl. "They say that for a reason you know". He thaught to himself: Hmmm... a girl who can change colors... a cameleon? He stood back up and smoothed the wrinkles that had been left in his pants from kneeling down. Chris then turned his attention back to the girl. "You really should stand back up, you wouldn't want to get your cloths dirty would you?" Chris offerd his hand to her to help her stand back up.

She looked at the hand extended before her. She took it and allowed his help in standing up. She murmured a thank you and began dusting her pants off. "I don't think dirt really matters anymore. I'll just change the colour of it and it will blend right in with everything else." she giggled. No more stains from her clumsy accidents, that would be nice. She finished brushing herself off, fixed her clothes and then extended her hand to him. "I'm evellynn, I go by Eve though. Some," she pointed back at one of the girls "feel my name is too long, so they think Eve is good." She was conversing a little easier now and could feel her self going back into her social mood.

Christopher shook Evellynn's hand.
"Nice to meet you Evellynn, my name is Christopher or just chris for short" Chris let go of her hand and placed his hand behind his head for a second and grinned. "You know... you may be able to change the color of the dirt and stains, but you can't just magically get rid of the dust or the stickyness of a spill." Chris's grin turned to more of a cheesy grin " So you still have no excuse not to keep yourself clean" He thaught what he said was rather cleaver but after a few moments he realized that perhaps it really wasen't. |
