"We are going to play." Amais replied while she fed coins into the machines next to each other. "And you're going to do fine."
"Ffff, yeah. We shall see how long that optimism lasts, hmm?" Kaz purred, amusedly. "Not very long, I'll wager..." As soon as the machine started making noises, he turned to it, trying to remember how to start playing. He hadn't played it in years.
"I wager that it will." She shook her head and sighed as she took a ball from the slot. Bringing her arm back she used enough force to have the ball roll and up the ramp to jump into the bottom score circle.
"Ah...I'm a bit rusty on this, too." |
The first ball Kaz threw just barely made it into one of the worst-scoring circles. He chuckled, shaking his head, and reached down to fetch a second one. "I suck. I'll admit that freely."
Amais threw in her second, "I do, too. I just get lucky."
"I never get lucky." Kaz snickered, suddenly, and threw his second one. It did just as poorly as the first did, and he sighed. "Lady Luck wants to bash my head in with a rake. Not sure what I did to her, but she's always hated me, and has probably abandoned me, haha..."
"You probably just need to warm up," Amais replied as she threw her third, watching it miss her intended target and landed in the worst circle. Smiling she patted Kaz on the shoulder. "Luck be a lady for Kaz. Won't you be a dear?"
Kaz threw his third, and, like his counterpart, watched it miss and roll into the worst circle. "I don't think she cares for me all that much, my friend."
Amais threw another and watched as it missed the center, "Same here..."
"Either that, or I'll never be destined for professional sports," Kaz remarked, throwing another one. It once again landed in the worst circle. "Blah..."
(OOC: I can't remember how many balls there were.)
Amais smiled and threw in her second to last, watching it finally go into the center. "Oh, yay! That's one!" |
((I can't, either. XD Let's, er...skip around that little fact. I have no idea.))
Kaz frowned, when his next ball didn't make it. His last one didn't make it, either. He ended up getting the lowest possible score, as he'd expected. "...Well. At least I didn't end up injuring anyone this time!" he declared, cheerfully. |
(XD Alllllrighty!)
Amais' smile grew as her last balls landed in the decent scoring circle. Listening to Kaz's comment she nodded profusedly, "See! It helps to be optimistic!" |
"It's not optimism, it's 'I'm-glad-I'm-not-getting-sued-again'-ism," Kaz joked, scratching his head. "Hey, where'd your friends get to? I haven't seen 'em in a while."
"It was his fault for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. He should have known better." Amais laughed then looked around. "Huh...hmm...actually, I'm not so sure. There's a good chance that Amaya forced Reika to play DDR with her. Matt...well, he's probably playing a game that would boost his manly ego...since he's around girls most of the time."
"Racing game or shoot 'em up game, got it," Kaz chuckled, knowingly. "Want to have a look around and see if we can't find them? We can all pop out and grab some snacks, and start heading back if everyone's ready."
