"Oh really?" In all his years, he'd never heard that excuse before. "Well I suppose I'm in no position to judge, I spend most of the day asleep. There's just something.. alluring about the night, don't you think?" Gabriel asked, looking back to Rei whom was smiling. The vampire gave a small smile of his own.

"Yup. Could be due to the fact that I'm semi anti-social and most normal people aren't out at night." He looks amused at that. "Not saying you're not normal, but, most of the people I hug around didn't like night time. Or they slept." He shrugs.

Gabriel walked for a short distance more, before he stopped at his favourite bench right in front of the lake, and sat down. "Oh, I'm far from normal." He replied in an amused tone. "But then again.. what exactly is normal these days? You humans.. there's nothing normal about you at all. Your a danger to yourself and everyone else, but at the same time.. your marvellous creatures, living through so much trouble and grief."

"Normal, to me anyway, is someone that reads the newspaper religiously," Rei mutters. He hovers near the bench. "But humans fail, or at least most do." He grins at that.

"Not all humans fail. Just look at what some of them have accomplished." Gabriel pointed out, then motioned to the empty space on the bench beside him. "But at the end of the day, the humans will destroy themselves." The male paused. "Well I suppose thats something to look forward to witnessing."

Rei carefully sits next to him. "I guess so. But if they all destroy themselves, we gotta find a way to save the smart ones. Let them reproduce." He chuckles, amusedly. "What's the point of restarting if we don't restart smart? And that rhymes."

"Well that depends on your definition of smart." Gabriel said, looking out across the waters surface. "Book smarts or just smart in general? Would a whole race of smart people really be such a good idea?"

Common sense smart. I know some book smart people who have no common sense. And it's better than a race of stupid people," he points out, amused by the banter. He seems to be feeling a bit better.

"But without stupid people how are you supposed to learn and grow as a race?" Gabriel asked, glancing upto the sky. "Really? I suppose they spend far too much time with their noses in a book then."

"Fine, we can have two stupid people, that's it." He holds back a grin at that. "And they do. It's almost an obsession."

"You don't realise how much 'dumb' and under achieving people help society. Of course... There not all adding to the economy." Gabriel hadn't had a discussion like this in years. A smile formed on his lips. "Well I suppose books aren't too bad."

"Well I guess some do help. But more don't than do." Rei looks quite content with their current topic, though most people who saw them might think it was a but odd. "And I like reading, but I do have a life outside of them."

"I guess so." Gabriel folded his arms loosely across his stomach and looked back to Rei. "As I can see." The male smiled. "Are you feeling better now?"

Rei stretches a bit. "Yeah. I guess I just needed to get out, and not mope around." He grins a bit at that. "I'm good at moping. And video games."

"So I saw and heard." Gabriel replied, meaning moping and video games, in that order. After a brief glance at his watch, the male side. "Its getting kinda late now.. or early, depending on how you look at it."

Rei glances at the sky. "It is, isn't it?" It looks like he didn't really notice how late it was, which could be a good thing. "Wow. I'm observant." He chuckles at that fact.

Gabriel just nodded and gave one final look around the park, before his eyes settled on Rei beside him. "I must leave soon, unfortunatly." The male sighed, he disliked sunrise, one of his least favourite times of day.

Rei nods, not seeming bothered. "All right. I should go get some sleep, anyway. Or coffee...either or." He scratches his head, sheepishly.

"What about those 'energy' drinks everyone seems to be drinking lately?" Personally, Gabriel could not drink them to try, far too much caffeine for his liking. At the minute, water and herbal tea was about the only 'human' thing he could drink.

"Mm. Monster. Eh. I have a fairly low tolerance to caffeine. And I do want to sleep this week." Rei did like those energy drinks though. In moderation, due to wanting to sleep.

Gabriel just smiled at the males response and stood himself up, hands immediately dusting himself down and sorting out the front of his shirt. "Well, in moderation then? One or two every now and then wouldn't hurt you, would it?" He said, looking down to the male. "Are you going to be alright getting home?"

Rei nods, grinning. "I'm not totally defenseless. ...Just mainly. But, nah. I'll be fine." He chuckles, standing up. He fiddles with his necklace, absently.

Gabriel smiles and gives a short nodd of his head. "Alright then. Well.. I'll see you around. It was nice talking." Pausing for a brief moment, he then turned on his heel and started at a slow pace across the park, towards the edge of town.

Rei sighs and heads back to his room, not looking forward to going back.

Gabriel arrived at his home and vanished inside. All of the curtains were shut and the door was locked behind him. Not long after he arrived home, he headed upto bed, yawning as he went.
