Many days passed and the priceless gems that were his tears were piling up. He shouldn't cry, but he had to. He was a disgrace to the vampiric race. He was considered a disgusting half-breed and falling in love with a human only further tarnished his reputation; not that it was a large one. Din has been rejected by both humans and vampires. Humans hated him for being a vampire and the vampires hated him for being a disgraceful, emotional, and wimpy half-breed. No one but him knew his other half...

Ana stared at her father for a long moment. "Why are you here?" Ana didn't mean to sound rude but she couldn't help herself. The man hadn't been around in 2 years. They had missed her last two birthdays but made sure they sent gifts.

"Honey, you can't be serious. I am here to see you." He took a step foward and Ana took a step. He smiled and opened his arms lovingly. "Come to Daddy, I have missed you so much." He took three long strides towards her and engulfed her into his arms. He reeked of burbon and cigarettes. "You've grown so much since I last saw you." Her father squeezed a little tighter before he finally let her go the moment he let her go she hurried to make space between them.

"Where's mom?"

"Oh you know how she is. She s still working on some stuff in Asia. Then we're both off to Europe. Since I finished early i told her I would spend my week of with you. She was ecstatic. She fears you've been living a little wild since we left. But the house is in one piece and ou still have an air of...innocence." Her smirked knowingly at her. SHe had no clue who this man was but he certainly wasn't her father. He was acting so odd.

"Dad, you're drunk maybe you should lay down." Ana gave him a wide berth as she walked around him and attempted to make her way up the stairs. Her father caught her wrist at the first step.

"Come now we haven't seen each other in years." His had lightly traced up her shoulder and grasp th back of her neck. "Let's catch up, shall we?" Before he could attack her lips Ana drove her knee into his gut and made a mad run fr her room. But she never made it. That night was a nightmare she wish to never live through again. Bu it sadly repeated each night before her father left to go to Europe with her. He also left with plenty of blackmail evidence of the eventful nights. She was grateful for the weekend. She spent most of her time in bed petting Po, her best friend the cat. She wouldn't touch her games and she was terrified to leave her room. She feared her father would come back and finish off what he started. Her bruises had turned from a bright purple towards a more sickly yellow. "Po, should I do? I feel so useless." She felt sick was more like it. It was Monday morning and she got dressed with little enthusiasm. Once she got to the dreaded building she went through the day like she had the last Thursday and Friday, it was all a blur. Before she knew it she was back in her bed again.

((Wow. Raped? Didn't see that coming... o.o; ))

It took another day until Din found his way out of the dark fog of his emotions and thoughts. "It's time to return," he said and ported back into the shadows of Ana's room. The last place he wanted to go was home. He felt as if he never wanted to see his mother again, but he still loved and respected his father even though he wasn't biologically related to him. It only took Din seconds to notice the bruises on Ana's skin and he walked out of the shadows. He knew she would be livid towards him, but at the moment, he only cared about killing the bastard who did that to her. "Who did this to you?" he asked with a dark tone and flaring eyes, skipping the greetings and catching up.

Ana heard an angered voice and flinched. It was a practiced response. She curled into a ball at the base of her headboard. Po wrapped inbetween her thin arms. She had lost weight rapidly and she was dong nothiing to regain it. "I-I'm sorry." She managed to choke out while she shivered with her cat trying to comfort her. She couldn't face Din at the moment. She refused to.

Din's posture softened to deep concern. He sat down on her bed and gently brushed her cheek. "What happened to you?" Of course something terrible would happen right when Din left and he hated himself even more for it. He examined the bruises and her body and the pieces began to fit together. An anger quelled inside him had suddenly awoken and it was safe to assume it was definitely the other half. Din's eyes seared a bright red and his fangs elongated. He felt the essence of Ana on another being in the house and at that moment, the person downstairs whom touched her was doomed. "I'll kill him!" he screamed loud enough for her bedroom window to break and the same happened to her door. He bust it down and stalked downstairs to deal with the man. In his crazed state, Din had no control and there was no mercy...

Din scream had shocked Ana form her vegetative state. She scrambled off her bed and attempted to run after Din. "WAIT! DIN STOP!" She was doing her best to get his attention. She had never seen him like this. There were tears in her eyes. She was upset by the way everything had turned out. She was also upset with the way he had found out. If she had it her way she would have kept her secret to her grave. But if she remembered correctly he was the one who ran off. So why was he raising hell at this very moment? The boy was constantly giving her mixed signals.

Din had Ana's father's throat in his grasp until a bullet rang out pierced his head. Din quickly dropped to the floor and Lilith stood their holding a smoking desert eagle. "He's caused enough trouble and you'll do your best to forget about him. You can thank me later for saving your father and an apology would be nice too for not 'taking it personal'," Lilith said and left as abruptly as she arrived to swiftly end Din's life with not the slightest amount of remorse or compassion.

Ana was hypeventilating. She couldn't think straight. No matter how hard she tried she couldn't seem to grasp the situation. Nothing was adding up. Did Lilith just kill one of her friends. Ana was praying this was all a nighmare and she would wake up in her bed or a sanatarium. She hadn't even realized that she had fallen to floor. A considerable amount of blood leaked out from underneath Din's dark locks. She crawled up to him. Her pale skin being covered with the red sticky substance. "Din?" An abundance of tears cascaded down her face and onto his lifeless one. She gently took his face into her hands and contnued to weep. Unable to move or think in complete sentence. She pressed her head to his chest, wishing to hear his no longer beating heart.

((Yay for huge plot twister! But yes, that part was definitely fake. Just wanted to make sure you were still awake. xD))

Din was smacked back into reality and woke up still on the beach with a small yell of terror. "Ana's father did that to her?" He laid back down on the sand and figured that it was time to go back. Din ported back to his house and, despite what his mother had done to his relationship with Ana, he hugged her and his father tightly and apologized for worrying them.

It was six in the morning and he quickly showered and dressed for school. He wasn't exactly looking forward to meeting Ana again. "She'll probably hate me more than before we even met," he said as he sat down in his first period class five minutes before the first bell would ring.

Ana shot awake. She was freaking out. She checked her body and there wasno sign of blood. Her ran downstairs and looked in the garage her father's car was gone insnuating that he had in fact left to join her mother. She dragged herself to the shower and put on her uniform.She didn't bother to dry her hair and she drove off to school. When she reached her class she kept her head down and sat in her assigned seat. She just wanted to go back home.

Din saw Ana walk into the classroom and sit in front of him without even a glance. "I'm assuming I'm getting the silent treatment?" he said and stared at her still damp hair. 'Something's wrong. She never looked so down and never enough to not even dry her hair...'

Ana couldn't afford to look him in the eye. Not after what she did. "I'm sorry." Her voice was very small and very unlike her. She didn't sound angry, just vacant. Ana listened to the teacher's lecture on some war that she could care less about.First period was going fast enough for her. She couldn't ignore the body behind her. It made her incerdibly nervous. She still loved him but she was sure that he could look at her after what had happened. Ana couldn't even look at herself.

Din caught a faint smell of someone other than Ana on her person. He didn't completely assume anything yet, but it made him wonder and he decided to ask. "Have you found a replacement for me? He smells like cigars..." It was hard for Din to believe that she would leave him for someone that smoked. She had better tastes than that. "What are you sorry for?"

Images of Ana's trecherous nights appeared in her mind. They were gone as soon as they appeared. She took a breath to calm herself. He thought she had replaced him? If only it were that simple. She had cheated, even if it was against her will. She had soiled her very first relationship and she had betrayed Din's turst. She turned in her chair in order to face him but she couldn't look up. She new she was being coward but she couldn't help herself. She was dying inside. "I betrayed you and I'm sorry." Her over grown bangs covered her eyes and a tear slid down her cheek but turn back around before it could be seen.

Din's expression was saddened but for only a moment. He broke his promise and looked into her mind and deep feelings. "You're hiding something, Ana. And I have a feeling that I'm not going to like it," Din said with a slightly foreboding tone. He lifted her face up and stared gently into her eyes. "Don't hold back. Tell me everything," he said and kissed her cheek for the first time in days. He missed her soft skin.

"You'll hate me if I tell you." Ana sobbed as more uncontrolable tears streamed down her face. "You'll hate me." Ana mumbled that to herself so many times she had lost count. It was what her father had told her. "I you even bother trying to tell anyone they won't believe you. And even worse, they will hate you." The bell rung to Ana's delight and she tried to gather her books together.

"No," he said simply and grabbed her by the hips. "I don't care what you do to hurt me, I will never stop loving you. Please tell me." He begged her to tell him, but he heard someone else's voice in her head and it disturbed him. "What am I not supposed to believe?" He locked his arms around her waist and waited with his head nuzzled next to hers.

Din felt so felt comfortabl, so right. But deep down she knew it was wrong. She knew he wouldn't love her after he found out. SO why shouldn't she enjoy the last few moments she had with him. It was all downhill from here. "You'll change your mind about me once I tell you." She embrace him deeply nad took a long breath. "He... raped... me." Each word seperated by a broken sob. Her voice so soft and unrecognizeable to her. She held onto Din and wait for him to push her away in disgust.

Din smiled, not because of what had happened, but for her honesty. He held her firmly and rubbed her back. "I'm sorry I was never there. I will never leave your side again and I will deal with whoever did this to you. Thank you for being honest and I think it's about time I got my mother's taste off of your lips," he said and kissed her deeply. 'She needs this after what happened...'

Ana leaned into him giving him whatever bit of strength she had left. Disturbed images flashed behind her closesd eyelids. She shook them away but they only came back stronger and more vivid.

"NO!" Ana pushed Din back at arms length. Her hands griping his white button up. She looked up to his eyes. She felt awful. "I can't... I keep seeing it." She was crying again. She had been doing that alot lately. Her were always red and puffy. She was sure she had permanent bangs and discoloration. "I love you Din, but I don't think," She paused and chose her words wisely. "I don't I'm stable enough for you right now. I need help."

"What do you propose then? The person who did this to you is going to be brought to justice. I'd be more than happy to pay for a therapist." Din didn't mind her pushing him away, it was understandable and the time he spent away only increased the amount of emotional trauma he could take. He brushed a finger across her cheek frequently since she cried very hard. Din felt he was about to join her, but swallowed the temptation and bottled the feelings. "Please calm down. It pains me to see you like this. I'll do whatever I can to help you. I can rent a hotel room for you; anything..."

"He's not there anymore. It was my father. He left to go and join my mom. And you thought your mother had touchng problems." Ana lauged dryly but it hurt. "Can you just stay with me? I won't bother or anything, you can even use the guest house if you want." She sounded so hopeful. "I just need you around. I just need to know you're there for me." She rested her forehead against his hard chest. She could feel the soft thumps of his heart.

"You'll be begging me to leave you alone," he assured her and ran his fingers through her hair. "Come on. You don't need to be at school," he said and beckoned her outside and to her car. "I don't care where he went. I will hunt him down unless you say otherwise." Just as he said that, his minded gave a shrill scream and he recalled his past dream. He held his head in pain and wondered why this flashback hurt. His head and ears rang and he shook his head slowly until it faded. "What was that?" he whispered to himself.

"Din? You okay?" Ana's voice was still hoarse and lifeless but it still managed to sound caring and loving. She watched as he shook his head and uttered something. "Are you sure your okay. If you feel unwell I can go home by myself?" She nibbled on her bottom lip. A nervous habit she picked up. She pushed her car keys and the door made a small beep and unlocked.

"I made a promise to never leave you again and I plan to keep it," he said and ported to the passenger seat. Din was still a little shocked after the odd and painful flashback, but it still remained etched perfectly into his mind. He was a monster that would do anything to get revenge for Ana. "Could that mean something? Could it really be who I am?" He didn't think so, but there was a part of him that screamed to kill her father and if it wasn't for what he saw in the dream, he would act on it in an instant.
