Name: Layla (Means born during the night)

Age: 18

Personality: Rebellious and wants to be free... But she knows when to be obiedent to her master and do his will. She is naturally gentle and kind but she has no compassion towards the Pharo, her master.
Bio: Layla was the daughter of the Pharo's personal head general. When she was born her mother had rejoiced for it had been a mirical for her to come into this world on the night of Osiris. She was blessed at the temple that night by her father but when he had returned home he found his wife dead and was slaughtered as well. Layla was given to the servants of the palace and grew up learning the ways of Osiris and the palace life. She was then hand selected by the Pharo to be his personal servant. She has so far avoided his bed with luck but everyday she knows he presses her more and more to break beneath his gaze and give into his wishes.
Appearence:
Extra: Layla has a tatoo of Osiris on her hip and has a collar she must wear during the day. She has talked to the pharo's son a few times but not much since she is always doing something for the Pharo.

Name: Gabriel
Age: 20
Personality: Unlike his father the pharaoh, Gabriel is well loved by their people and it often earns him his father's mistrust and hatred. He is a kind man with a stern set of morals that he stands by again in stark contrast to his father. Highly athletic and almost overly cunning and intelligence, the young man is always polite to everyone speaking to all of his subjects as if they were his equal. Although he is quite different from his father, there is one similarity that they share... being his enemy usually doesn't bode well.
Bio: Born to a slave, Gabriel's mother died at birth and since the pharaoh was never married many think that he was adopted due to the polar differences between the two. As a child he was trained to be a fighter although his father secretly wished he would die in combat since the child didn't take after him so much. Thrusted onto the battlefield by the age of 15, Gabriel made himself a name as one of the brightest and most fearsome generals of his generation helping to defend the capital over a dozen times in the span of two years from multiple attackers. Coveted by many for his good looks and incredible charm, the young man had never really taken to anyone at any point in time although he had met quite a few beauty's especially since his father brings them in on a regular basis. He is vehemently opposed to his father's slave fetish but cannot do anything about it although it is commonly known that he has on several occasion attempted to persuade his father to give it up.
Pic:
Other: Eyes are a honey gold color and his hair is shoulder length and he often keeps it up in a ponytail. He is highly respected by the people of Egypt and treats them all fairly including the slaves. Has spoken with Layla but doesn't know her name or remember very well...

Layla slowly woke and yawned lightly. She looked up seeing her Pharo still sleeping within the bed and his arms around another slave girl. She was always to sleep on the foot of the bed no matter who was with the Pharo. She slowly got up and rubbed her neck meeting the cold bite of her collar. She stretched and then grabbed a new outfit. The simple white top that just covered her chest and a matching bottom that just covered her as well was all she grabbed. Her other garmets were being washed. She walked to the bathing room and greatfully took her bath. She sighed happily as she walked out. Dressing and combing threw her hair Layla smiled enjoying the tingle tinkle of her anklets bracelets, and chains of gold on her hitting eachother softly. She then walked out into the gardens slowly knowing that these very early morning hours where the only ones she could get to herself before her master woke.

Early mornings were a staple of the young prince's routine and although he got tired of the early morning training it was obvious to him that he didn't have any other time to train. His days were filled doing the things that his selfish father was too busy satisfying himself to do and as unwilling a early morning person as he was the young prince had to admit his morning training was the calmest part of his day. It was the only time he really got a chance to relax other than when he laid his head down to rest. Dancing around with his blades the golden eyed prince with his raven colored hair made elegant patterns as h executed his exercise. It was the same practice every morning but perfect practice made perfect. He thought about all the subjects in his kingdom and how happy they were when he was around and then he thought about the slaves. Not the usual slaves that had brought slavery upon themselves but the one's who were kept in the palace for his father's own sexual pleasures who's only crimes were to be born attractive. Some of these women were once wives and some of them even had kids but the pharaoh didn't care. If they could satisfy him that was enough, and it was that thought that made Gabriel sick to his stomach. Woman were not some sort of plaything for a man's use but that's all they were to his father. One day he would change all of that...

Layla smiled as she hhummed to herself. She walked slowly threw the garden and down a small path. She brushed the soft petals of all the exotic petals. She then heard the soft ringing of a blade threw the air and her eyes opened to see the real world again instead of the picture she had been conguering in her head. She saw before her the prince Gabriel training as she knew he did every morning. She usually kept away to let him have his provousy but today her feet had carried her to him. She watched silently and her muscles itched to try and mimic the moves. It was like a dance.... With the blades as beautiful extentions of the arms. Layla had found dancing something she was seretly good at though she never dared to dance when she knew people where watching... If the Pharo knew... She shuddered at the thought and again watched as the blades caught the sun and twirrled in magnificance. She decided to make herself present just incase he found her and got angry. She stepped out into the sunlight her deep brown almost black hair shining and still wet and her skin almost seemed to glisten. "Good morning Prince Gabriel..." she said softly and gracefully curtsied.

All caught up in his thoughts and training he didn't even notice the slave woman who had come up behind him as he moved effortlessly with his blades in his usual deadly morning dance. As she caught his attention with her greeting he stopped and when he looked at her he could almost swear it was the first time he had ever laid eyes on her. Her hair was glistening in the sun as it was still wet indicating she had just taken a bath apparently. Stabbing both of his blades into the earth he walked over to her and took a deep bow as he took her hand and kissed it ever so gently. As he rose he stared at her deeply with a slight grin and as his honey colored eyes made contact with hers, "My apologies milady but I'm not sure we've met before, might I ask who you are?" It was obvious that she was a slave but he couldn't remember seeing her before, he now felt as though he would have remembered. Then he suddenly let go of her hand realizing that his own were dirty, "My apologies, forgive me. I wasn't thinking, my hands are dirty I should have never touched yours." His voice was majestic and like a soft melody even though it was fairly deep although not nearly as deep as his father's.

Layla took his hand and smiled at his soft voice. It matched his deep eyes well and she was so glad he had not taken after his father in many aspects. She smirked and then laughed lightly and covered her mouth slightly. The melodic laughter light and happy. "Oh do not apologise my prince. Having dirty hands merely is the sign of a warrior and one who works hard and toils in the sun to please the gods and their people." she said wisely her light brown eyes flecked with green looking at him with intrest. "I am Layla... Your father's personal servant... We have met before." she said and smiled at him reasuringly. "But I can understnad why you do not remember. I helped you threw your fevor a few months ago and you wer too ill to speak... And other then that its been just hellos when passing eachother in the palace." she said lightly and smiled. Her eyes then slowly turned to his blades. Curiousity flashed in her eyes and she looked at him. "May I?" she asked softly wanting to hold one just to see how heavy they truely were.

Her voice was a soothing melody to a pair of ears that had been seeking to listen to a song of true beauty and refuge, he would remember her very well after this encounter. Giving a light smile of gratitude the prince gave a nod, "You honor me milady although I am no harder a worker than any of my subjects, I would not be a good future ruler if I knew nothing of the struggles that the lowest of people go through." Gabriel had high hopes for the kingdom when he took over but would speak no further on the subject at the moment. He remembered well the feelings of those few weeks of illness when all he could do was sleep, it was apparent that his fever came from overworking ironically but still he worked just as hard as he did before although every now and then a citizen would tell him he should rest. He knew better than that though, there was no rest for the wicked, "Well it seems that I am in your debt milady, is there anything I can do to repay you?" His tone as usual was majestic like a king's should be, again in stark contrast to his vain father. Then at the notion to touch his prized blades the prince simply smiled and extended his arm openly as a gesture to go ahead. The blades were actually much heavier than they looked but he never told anyone that since he wielded them around like they were dinner knives. He was proud of his blades but saddened that they had been needed to take so many lives, he did not get off on killing. Life was more precious to him than that.

Layla smiled brightly andstepped forwards. She caressed the handles of one of the blades and looked it over. Then gently she took the handle in both hands and drew it from the ground making a beautiful fluid arc before holding the blade steady. She raised an eyebrow and looked at him. She then smirked and then loooked down the blade with care, her hand traveling down the flat of the blade. "Its a very well made sword.... The curve perfect for killing but also disengaging from ones opponent... The hadel worn from your use.... I would suggest having the swordscraftsmen look at it soon. You don't want your hand bleeding while weilding it in battle..." she said knowingly and then with a fluid twist she jabbed and the sword sat lightly against his chest. She had copied an exact move of his and grinned. "A beautiful sword to weild." she said snd then held it out to him holding it so the blade laid across her palms.

The prince had no choice but to smile, it wasn't everyday you met a woman with a great deal of knowledge and insight about swords and it was refreshing. He gave her a polite nod before taking the blade as he spoke, "I appreciate your concern but we are not at war right now so the wear and tear of the hilts only make my hands tougher so it serves a purpose as of right now. When I am called to return to battle I do plan to have those fixed but as of right now they're fine as they are." Taking the blade and swinging it around a bit before taking it and placing it back in the ground next to its brother. As he turned back around he couldn't help but be in awe of the woman's beauty once more, never had anyone captivated his attention as she did. It was an odd feeling but not unwelcome, though he had to admit she was something he had never come across in his twenty short years in this desert kingdom.

Layla smiled and watched as he swung the blade. It was an exotic dance to her the way he weilder the blade. "Very true but our peace is thanks to you... I am only naturally watching out for my prince..." she said kindly and brushed her hair out of her face a bit. Then hearing the small bells from the palace she bit her lip. "The pharo is awake..." she whispered softly an then looked at him. She needed to go and serve the pharo hisfood but she was afraid of his anger if she was alone. "Would you be so kind as to escort me inside?...." she asked in a small voice. "The Pharo isn't a morning person..."

The golden eyed prince couldn't help but be flattered at the woman's words but the credit was too much, "I appreciate your faith in me but I am only one man. There are many men who lost their lives out there trying to protect our kingdom as well and those are the people we really owe our time of peace to." Gabriel wasn't the kind of guy to take all the credit for something so large as the peace of the kingdom. He too heard the bells and knew that his father was quite a bit more difficult to deal with in the morning time than on the norm so he gave the beauty a reassuring smile, "Of course," as he walked over and sheathed his two blades on his back. He then extended his arms and called out, "After you, miss Layla." His voice had been a bit more alluring than he had wanted it to be but he didn't mind, after all if there was anyone in the kingdom that he would consider pursuing and making his bride it would be her. She had already had a lasting impression on him but he would say nothing else to the black rose that had caught his attention.

Layla smiled and nodded. "Spoken like a great man..." she said softly her eyes gleaming and then nodded. "Why thank you." she said and flashed a smile that lit up her eyes as she headed towards the palace again. The golden chains on her flat stomach caught the early light as she passed and her hair was moved by the light breeze. She then walked in threw the now opened doors of the palace and padded threw the halls silently making her pace slow so as to be walking with the prince. He had definately been one of the only men to make her rethink about all palace men being self indulgent demons. He definately had a pure heart and was in the makings of a great man. She then slowed her pace even more coming closer to the pharo's throne room. She saw the morning shadows of slaves and knew that Pharo was eating. She silently prayed to Osiris that he was in a good mood.

"Thank you," he answered with a smile and a nod. He walked slowly with the woman actually wanting to speak with her as they walked but he elected to stay quiet, figuring that this meeting would not be their last. He also didn't want to make his father wait too long as he was not known for his patience. As they neared the room the prince noticed the change in pace that the woman had made and cracked a smile slightly, she was probably scared of him like many of the people of the kingdom were. Were it not for his efforts to keep the people satisfied and working so hard with the domestic council he wasn't sure what the people would be suffering through right now. Since he started helping out with domestics the lifestyle of the people has had a great change. Commoners who were barely getting by now have enough food to feed their families comfortably and there is overall a greater wealth to the kingdom. Gabriel had done so much for the kingdom he hoped that he wasn't burnt out by the time he became king. With the high level of stress that he had, he honestly had no stress reliever in his life at the moment so he needed to find something...

Layla looked at Gabriel and smiled. "Unfortunately our paths must end their dance together here..." she said softly and looked at him. "Maybe we may speak again.... Are you free at twilight?" she asked lightly. It was her time to eat but she would skip anymeal to talk with the prince and be farther away from her master. Suddenly there was a shout. "LAYLA!!" She flinched at the Pharo's voice and smiled at Gabriel bravely. "Well I go to fight my own war wish me luck." she said rather brightly and kissed his cheek quickly before dissappearing into the room. "Yes my Pharo." she said calmly as she walked towards him. "Where have you been?!" he demanded angerily and she smiled at him. "Relax my great ruler... Merely enjoying the wonderful morning..." she said softly and he seemed to be calmed. "Join me." he said and indicated his lap. She stopped in her tracks but then seeing his burning anger beneath the small bit of self control she complied. But she definately regretted it as he pulled her close and kissed her ear. "You should be mine..." he whispered and she clentched her teeth. "Only good thing are worth working for." she said smartly making him laugh. "Ah yes... And that's the reason I keep you my little temptress." he said lessening his grip on her as he closed his eyes and listened to the musitions.

"I am not normally free at any time but I would be honored to take the time out to have a meal with you." His reply had no time to sink in as she was called by his father in an irritated tone of voice at that which wasn't normally good. The young man's heart had skipped a beat when he received her kiss and he unintentionally almost held his breath. She was indeed special... The prince almost walked away but instead chose to do something a little out of the norm and walked in to greet his father. Stepping into the room Gabriel got down onto one knee with his left leg forward and his right fist to the ground and chin tucked as he announced his presence, "Good morning father."

(Would type more but did you want to play the pharaoh in person or is he simply an NPC?)

((NPC, but I'll play him a smidge in this post))

Layla wanted to go run and hide her face in shame as the prince walked in. Why did today of all days the Pharo had forced her to sit with him in his lap... She felt so imbarrassed and so unclean as she sat before Gabriel that it made her want to look away. She looked at the ground as the Pharo slowly opened his eyes. His grip tightened around Layla's middle and his other hand slid down her side. She bit her lip and forced herself to remain calm so she wouldn't smack the Pharo. He kissed her bare shoulder making her flinch and glare at him angerily. "Dont." she growled only so he could hear and he merely rolled his eyes at her.

Taking his father's silence as a indication of him not wanting his son to be in his presence so he stood and respectfully took a bow, "I apologize for my intrusion then father." And with that he turned around and walked out of the room and he was somewhat upset, he had noticed what his father was doing and didn't want to be around if his father was going to be doing those things. It was even more upsetting that it was Layla in his lap that he was frisking. His heart was pounding at the thought of that woman being used as a plaything for the Pharaoh's ... urges. It would seem that Gabriel would need to flush her out of his mind, but for some reason he thought she wouldn't have been touched. It would appear that he was being naive and it brought a smile to the man's face although it was one of disappointment. As he walked down the corridors he made his way to his room so that he ask one of his servants to bring him breakfast so that his day could finally begin. He would need to work hard to forget this morning's events...

Layla watched as Gabriel got up and left. Why had she been hoping for him to save her? It was hopeless it seemed. As he left she gasped as the Pharo advanced more and grabbed her chest. She cried out and without hesitation she smacked him. Both of them tumbled fromthe throne and she was up in a heart beat. "LAYLA!!" he shouted angerily as she bolted out of the room. She passed the prince as tears threatened to fall down her cheeks. She needed to get out of here. She heard guards coming and only ran faster. She cried out as a guard stepped from behind a pillar and grabbed her. "Let me go!" she said angerily wanting nothing more then to be released. She fought his hold and then he smacked her sending her to the floor. She laid their trying to fight the tears and pain as she knew that today she had finally made the mistake and now the Pharo wasn't going to be mercyfull. He was going to take her and force her to him. And that of all things scared her most. Death was more appealing then that man'a lust.

Gabriel was almost to his room when he heard someone rushing down the corridors and then Layla passed him and it was obvious that she was upset about something. Hearing the guards running after her as well he knew that whatever had happened couldn't have be good so he ran down the halls after her. He was catching up to her but a guard got to her first and hit the beautiful woman causing the prince to snap. Slowing to a mad walk Gabriel called to the guard, "Release her!" Not understanding the guard naturally flinched until the young general was right up on him and it was plain that he was extremely mad, "Release her now..." he demanded through his gritted teeth. Having no choice but to do as he was told the man let her go and immediately the prince knelt down and took her into his arms walking back to his room. None of the guards would say anything to him about it but he knew his father would. But whatever the consequences he would take alone, she didn't deserve to be treated in such a way. When they reached his room he laid her on his bed and took a seat at the edge and in a concerned tone asked, "Are you alright milady?" Her safety came first but he would need an explanation next.

Layla was surprised as she heard the prince's voice and she looked up tearfully as he knelt next to her. She was surprised as his strong muscular arms enveloped her and she was carried away from the guard. She wrapped her arms around his neck loosly to make sure she wouldn't fall and looked at the ground shamefully. As she was set on the soft bed she curled up into a ball and looked at him. "I-I'm fine..." she whispered bravely and then shivered violently still feelin the snake's hands upon her. She closed her eyes trying to fight the fear and tears but a tear slid down her cheek anyway. She then looked at the prince and knew he was going to want to know. But she would only speak if asked... It was too shameful and too horrible for her to explain anyother time... She had never been touched like that... And now that the Pharo had touched her she felt so unclean that it was horrible.

He was happy to hear that she was alright but for some reason he couldn't manage to ask what had happened. Maybe it was because he really didn't want to know but instead he decided to say, "I'm glad..." Which was unfortunately all he could manage to muster up right now under the circumstances. Instinctively the man began to run his fingers through her hair for reassurance but after a few strokes he stopped himself feeling that he was overstepping his boundaries. From the looks of it she didn't want to talk about what happened anyway so he wouldn't press it right now. He was curious to an extent but that was easily overshadowed by the uncomfortable feelings he had and a shadow of guilt that would hover over him if he did ask.

Layla was surprised as the prince began stroking her hair but closed her eyes as she leaned towards him. She took so much comfort in his touch and then frownd as he pulled his hand away. She nett his eyes and then couldn't hold back the tears. They slowly ran down her cheeks and she instinctively threw her arms around him. She held him tightly and burried her face into his shoulder never before having had some comfort like he had offered just now. "H-he touched me...." she whispered threw her tears being so fearful of that mans touch. She trembled in fear and wished that she could take comfort but she had a horrible feeling that she would not be spared of the Pharo's touch any longer. She could just imagine him comming up from behind her and grabbing her dragging her to his room and then taking her. It made her shake in fear more as she held onto the prince unable to stop the tears.

As much as he had wanted to tell her it would be alright, Gabriel didn't want to give her a false hope. He knew that it was only a matter of time before his father took her to bed with him and raped her, but there was absolutely nothing he could do about it. He was a prince and this country was almost being run by him as of the moment right now so he couldn't just simply take her away and run, there was so much more at stake. Generating the will to tell her what she didn't want to hear was hard but somehow the prince managed to do so, "I'm sorry Layla, I really am, but you knew it was only a matter of time before something like that happened. The man is perverted yes, I know but I'm not sure I can do anything about it at the moment." Certain thoughts passed through the prince's head as he said that such as poisoning but if he killed his father that would make him no better a man for any reason. He took a sigh of deep regret knowing that he would have to come up with something to tell the pharaoh as he stood up from his bed. Looking at his black rose the man smiled gently for her hoping to sooth her falling tears, "Please be strong for me milady, I vow to you I will find a way to set you free from him." Those words were a binding vow and a difficult one to fulfill as no woman who had ever entered this palace as a slave to the Pharaoh had left alive...

Layla nodded hearing his words and slowly pulled away from him. He was right. She knew it had been only a matter of time... Still she was greatful for him even tollerating her. No one had ever cared enough to stop and try to sooth her fears that she hid her whole life. But in hearing his next words as she wiping away her tears her eyes widened in shock and she looked at his disbelivinf his words until she looked intothise beautiful eyes and knew he was going to keep his word. "Thank you..." she whispered and then looked at him. She took his hand and kissed his knuckle gently. Her eyes soft as she slowly looked up at him with her glistening brown eyes. "I want to help you as well..." she whispered and then straightened. "I shall help sooth you at the end of the day... Bring about peace... I've seen you walking threw the palace wirily at night... I will do anything you need... Sing... Dance... Rub your sore shoulders.... Anything to repay you for this kindness you have bestowed upon me..." she said softly and smiled at him with genuine care.
