"I thought angels were supposed to see both the light and darkness in people," said Kiri, half mocking, half serious.

"When someone has the nerve to blow up a plane and tak out louds of innocent people, they have no light. They have been lost. Their religion, that was created by a Demon to false lead a bunch of people. It succeeded in 911. I was their, the "strange enomoly", the "winged lady". That was me. I could only get to wight of the falling victims and they believed they passed over and back whent hey saw me so no one believes they really exitst." Sophia sighed as she remembered. "That's why I'm stuck here for the next decade. I got to close."

"Whether terrorists are right or wrong, they believe they're doing what is right," said Kiri. "Are you always this quick to judge?"

"No, but I was there. I saaw the carnage. There are thousands of people without their families or loved ones because of those bastards." Sophia said a silent prayer for those without their loved ones and took another chip.

Kiri shrugged. "It's not like I care anyway. People die all the time. A pile of dead humans mean nothing to me."

"Well, I'm feel sorry for you for your lack of compassion in the matter of life and death Kiri." Sophia said simply.

Kiri shrugged and pointed at a random girl. "If I killed her right now, how much difference would it make to the human race? A few people would be miserable and there'd be a funeral. Everyone's on about how sacred life is, I just don't get it."

"The flow of energy through these people, theirs souls, thoughts, feelings, memories - they are sacred. They will eventually be all they have and when they eventually do die. So, they are sacred." Kiri smiled.

"So if they all die anyway, won't making them sacred only create more pain?" asked Kiri.

"No, you should see how happy the souls in heaven are. Their memories keep them alive in their form. It's rather beautiful." Sophia smiled and her mind drifted.

"Hmph. Whatever," said Kiri, finishing off her cookies. Listening to all this gave her a headache and a horrible sick feeling.

"So the guy's name? Number? Going to call him?" Sophia smiled lightening the subject.

"Sam, got his number here," said Kiri looking down at it thoughtfully. "I don't know if I will call him or not. Depends on how bored I am tonight."

"Ever thought of getting in a serious relationship? With any one, not just Demons?" Sophia asked thoughtfully finishing her chips and moving on to finishing her Cola.

"What's the point? Everything comes to an end," said Kiri and she grinned. "And my standards are too high. Some guys are OK to go out with once in a while, but none of them are good enough to occupy all my time."

"What type of guy is good enough Demon? What does he have to be to get with Lil' Ms Kiri?" Sophia asked.

"Handsome, tall (around 6"2 is best), not sickeningly kind, not annoyingly sadistic, to show sufficient interest in me but not worship me, high-ranking enough, share some of my interests but not too many, not too quiet and not too loud, not cheat on me but not be too sickeningly faithful, not too jealous and he has to have good sense in shoes," said Kiri. "There's more but I can't be bothered listing it."

"Oh really? Well, kind of like that guy over there.?" Sophia smiled pointing out a handsome , exactly six foot two dude by the KFC.

Kiri checked off the points. Handsome, tall, neither quiet nor loud. And his shoes were good. She handed Sam's number over to Sophia. "You call him. He was under a demonic spell, he won't be able to tell the difference." And she got up and made her way over to teh KFC to "buy some more chips".

"I don't need handouts..." Sophia muttered, offended slightly. She made sure no one was looking in her direction and leitating the peice of paper in her palm she incinerated the paper in a white flame. She didn't want Kiri to see her do something destructive. After she blew the ashes thinking of Sam and the bitchy girlfriend the Demonic spell should have been broken over him and they could try to get back together. If not that was their choice.
Then a wave of depression settled over her and she sighed, "It'd be nice to be wanted though...."

Kiri decided she was tired of chips and bought a drink instead.
"Hey, is that a raspberry milkshake?" asked the guy.
"Yup," Kiri replied taking a sip and looking at him more closely. He was handsome, not too handsome and just the right height. "You like them?"
"They're my favourite drink in the world," he grinned.
They shared one thing in common at least. As long as they didn't share too much, he was a definite possibility. Unless of course he was too sickeningly kind. She hated "good guys".

"This looks like it's getting on so well." Sophia smiled.

Kiri and Damien chatted for a while, and Kiri had to admit that he did fit her standards. They exchanged numbers and Damien had to rush off. Kiri surprised even herself as she didn't use any demonic power on him. For some reason she didn't want to...
"Well now I've got two guys' numbers..." Kiri said as she rejoined Sophia.

"Good for you, Ms Demon. His name? Let me guess, Damien..?" Sophia smiled. "Loves Strawberry Milkshake?" What Kiri did not know prior to this was that Angels ears were very sensitive and could pick out sound from 100ft away.

"Raspberry," said Kiri. "Andf you could've fooled me about you not needing hand outs. You've been sitting there play matchmaker while not looking for a guy yourself."
