"Scaring the humans? Who cares? Humans are scared of demons, of course they are! Why should I pretend to be something different from what I am?" She looked up and glared at the guy at the table near him with her demonic eye, making him get up and run out the door. "It's in their instincts to be frightened of me. Why should I change myself for them?"

"That I can't answer. However save the little girls innocent dreams, she was the one I was referring too." Sophia sighed and was preparing herself for an all out feud.

Kiri said nothing and drank her coffee. She was in an unexplainable bad mood. It was probably something to do witht he appearance of the second angel. She didn't like him.

"Can't we just calm down and get along...or cope? For the sake of balance in the aura." Sophia sighed hopefully and then looked purposefully at Dustan. She focussed all her heavenly energies into creating a calming aura to expel into the coffee shop.

"You're right," said Kiri with an obviously fake sweet smile. "What do you think, Mr Stick-up-the-ass-Angel?"

"Well, Ms Devastator, I don't quite agree with your methods but not killing anyone will get you neutral thoughts for the duration of the explanation you are going to provide as to why you are here." Dustan said simply leaning forward in his chair awaiting her reply.

"I was under the impression that the human world was common ground between Angels and Demons. I have every right to be here, and have no need to explain myself to you. Especially since I don't even know your name, let alone why you're here." As the angel leaned forward, she leaned back in her own chair, her eyes narrowed.

"By the Council!" Sophia hissed. "This chance meeting looks like it's been a hell-rising mistake, it was a pleasure to meet both of you but it looks as though the stereotypical Angels/Demons concept is right." Sophia picked up her bags and pulled her hat back on, dropping a five dollar bill to cover her un-touched coffee she stormed to the door and down the streets towards her house. She did not want to give up the chance of attempting peace and that Dustan was lovely but she had a low tolerance for fighting and had a tendancy to storm if her methods don't pull through, she was human in that sense.

"Looks like you lost your date. Too bad," said Kiri, although she wasn't all that happy about Sophia leaving either. If Sophia left, she wouldn't be able to carry out her mission. Unless she befriended the male angel, something she did not want to do.

Sophia began to slow down when she hit the park, she always felt a calming sense walking beneath the trees. The snow falling around her surrounded the grassy floor with a blanket of pristine white snow. It was a beautiful sight, especially with the frozen lake glittering in the random ray of sun peeking through the clouds.
Sophia decided to stay a while and sit by it on her favourite bench, where the god awful pigeons could not get to for some reason and a good view of the lake. She pulled her knees to her body as she sat down on the snow covered bench, probably a weird sight to the humans but oh well, she thought.

"Well, Demon. What a disturbance you can cause just by existing. It's amazing." Dustan smiled.

"Self-centered as always," smirked Kiri. "Ever thought about the disturbance you cause?"
She got up, leaving her empty mug on the table, and walked out, still carrying her bags of shopping.

Dustan found himself wandering the streets, his hands in his pockets. He felt sadness at loosing the Angel, Sohia but annoyance at this...Kiri Demon. He looked up when he got to the park he felt and odd aura in the air and instincts allowed him to follow.

Kiri went home to dump her bags, and sh changed into one of her new dresses, already bored with the one she was wearing before. She checked the time. There was still hours to go before nightfall. The idea of staying at home was depressing, so she decided to go out to the park, one opf the few places she'd never been to before.

Sophia smiled as she witnessed three little kids skate across the lake, they giggled mischievously as they tripped each other up and pushed each other to slide further. Sophia pulled the scarf tight in around her neck and wished she never left Starbucks without a Hot Chocolate. She felt an aura that diffred from the one surrounding the park...

The lake was frozen. Kiri grinned as she watched the children skate across it. She made her way through the snow towards the lake and gave each of the kids an evil eye. "Beat it."
Terrified, the three children ran away, leaving the lake free for her. Kiri took one step onto the ice, then two and soon she was half running, half sliding across it. it was one of the things she liked to do in winter, but it was rarely cold enough so she hadn't done it enough times to get tired of it.

Sophia looked up to see the children scamper off the ice and flee to the opposite side of the park. Then Sophia recognised the aura and saw Kiri run across the ice.

Sophia considered getting up and greeting her again but it seemed a bad idea when she saw Dustan wander through the trees spying on both of them. She turned to face him and locked onto his mental fixture and spoke in Angel's telepathy, "Why are you spying on the Demon? And more importantly Me?"
"I don't trust that Demon...Her aura is shifting to complete darkness..."
"She's a demon! She was born in Tartarus, of course her aura is black!"
"Got a point... Even more reason to distrust her."
