Later, then. We will see. Tzalmon had been waiting until he was at least thirteen years old before he approached Will about anything. He figured thirteen was an agreeable enough age. He noticed Josh and Lawrence's hands and then hopped off the bed. He scuttled over to get their lunch off the desk and brought it back over. "William. I suggest you eat, whether you're hungry or not. If we're going to search for him, you need your strength." Tzal began to eat his lunch, before it got cold.
He glanced at Josh. "I want you to try and use your power to locate Sam. Your far-seeing power." Lawrence didn't seem to mind that they were holding hands. He blinked. "That might be a really good idea..." He poked Josh. "Give it a shot!" |
yes we will see Tzal picking up a piece of food will slowly nibble on it while watching Tzal manage the troops. he is good at that, no one ever questions if he has a right to, would be good in the house of Lords.
“I will try my best” carefully walking through the mess Josh sat down on the bed a crossed from them. Before sitting down he picked up a broken crystal dragon. monster, he even destroyed their trinkets. “so how am I to find him? I really don’t know him.” |
Tzalmon nodded to himself slowly as he ate. "I gave you a description of him, but I do not know him that well. Try to find someone with his description around the school or just outside of it..." He glanced at William. "Do you know a lot about his personality? By the way, this is the last time we let someone else in our room unattended. If they want to be tutored, they will wait outside until one of us gets here."
Lawrence didn't know much about Sam, either. Just that he was not fond of him, for he'd made fun of him more than once. He sat with Josh, still holding his hand. He didn't think much about it. |
” you know Tzalmon, I read on one of the books that professor Angelo has that we could link up together which would improve our gifts and give us a broader ranger to find him in.” William said guardedly around a mouth full of cheese. the only problem is that he would be able to tell what we are thinking. William said in a tight beam to tzal as he looked at him. there is a risk that we could be joined together for the rest of the time we are alive. William would let Tzal make the choice for them. If tzal did not mind he did not care what happened.
”So we could find him by using both your memories of him and my gift?” slowly josh entwined his fingers in Lawrence’s. what else would it do? Why is he saying it like it could be a bad thing? Why is he looking at tzal that way? |
...Does it matter to you? I am not a private person unless it is a sensitive manner, and I can shut him out of sensitive matters by putting a shield up and only removing it when absolutely necessary...it does not matter to me. Tzal seemed confident that he would be able to shut him out when he needed to, if they turned out to be joined.
Lawrence finally noticed their hands and went pink, but he didn't try to remove their fingers. Aaahhh! I didn't notice our hands were still together! ...I don't really mind, but still! That's so embarrassing... |
standing up William walked to the bathroom trying not to laugh. It would be rude to laugh at Lawrence’s mental comments. But Tzal was correct they were cute together.there is a chance that we won’t be able to block him out. pulling up the memory of the page he flashed it to Tzal. At the bottom of the page was a warning that if the link lasted to long the bound could become permanent and unable to block out. do you want to risk it? It’s a pity that Lawrence does not seem to share any of the gifts we need. Having them joined would fix the problem they are having.
”Well what are we waiting for? If we are going to catch this dragon destroyer” josh held up the broken crystal dragon. “Then we should act as quickly as possible.” William returned only to burst out laughing at Josh’s comment. Not funny! |
Tzal frowned, then shrugged again when William returned. If you do not mind...let's go for it. He seemed content...he didn't mind in the least. If it got Sam caught more quickly and gave them more time to both play matchmaker and spend time together...it was all right.
Plus, embarrassing thoughts coming from Tzal and William would make Josh's life very interesting... Lawrence blinked. "Is something wrong? Hey, should we check in quickly and see if anyone's found Sam, yet?" |
Looking over at Lawrence William smiled. “We don’t need to worry about checking in and seeing if someone caught him yet. I have been monitoring the thoughts of the mass public no one has found him yet. Though there were two sightings near the pool.” Stepping in between the middle of the beds William knelt and held out his hands. “Alright people, let’s see if this works.”
Reaching out josh shivered as he felt that something that should not be done was going to be done. A tingle ran up his arm as he touched Williams’s hand. “What is going to happen?” suddenly Williams hand locked onto josh’s, trying to pull his hand back josh found himself unable to. His other hand tightened onto Lawrence’s. It was not painful, it just tingled like a limb that had fallen asleep. |
Tzal neatly folded his hand into William's other hand. Tzal had very small, pale hands. He watched Josh's expression with amusement. He didn't mind having his thoughts exposed to him. He had barely anything to hide.
Lawrence winced a bit when the grip tightened, but he reluctantly squeezed his hand, to reassure him. He watched this all taking place with confusion on his face. |
Suddenly they were not separate people but one being with four voices. ~ok not what I expected from what the book said. ~ The William voice said with a feel of intrigue. ~um this is weird…. Storms in the south?~ the josh voice said confused and bewildered. They were no longer seeing the room through their eyes but as Josh usually saw a place he was looking in on. They stood about a foot above William’s head. ~that would be one of my gifts. Oh boy I still have some lighting in my hair. ~
|
Tzal's voice snickered. ~And how does that feel? We should look for Sam, now. All together, now.~ Tzal let his few memories of Sam slip forth so everyone could focus on them.
Lawrence found that since he couldn't use any powers yet, he could only listen and not speak. It was frustrating, but it would have to do for now. |
Mentally William poked at the part that was Lawrence. ~ah people! It looks like we pulled Lawrence along.~ William sounded worried about the Lawrence being there. ~I hope this is not hurting you Lawrence, but here we go.~ suddenly they were moving. Rooms and hallways passed them by as their minds searched for Sam. As they moved along a warm caring feeling would surround Lawrence. ~I’m sorry Lawrence, I should have let your hand go.~ josh seemed to surround Lawrence in a cocoon of love. As they finished searching the floors of the building they found no trace of him. ~looks like he did leave the building.~ as they brushed passed on of the class rooms another present touched them and pulled them to it. Suddenly their view became clear. They were in Professor Anglo’s class room the windows were closed as always and he sat on a stool his eyes closed.
*and where are you three…. No four going?* he sounded a bit surprised to find a fourth in their group. *I told you William that this was not something safe, and to have pulled along some one that has no say in what you do.* his tone became reproachful. |
~It was my idea, as well. I feel it will be all right...we four know each other quite well and won't mind that much if we are connected to each other. We are trying to find Sam. He trashed our room, and he has left the building. Would you help us?~ Tzal sounded quite calm, despite the reproachful tone that his teacher held.
Lawrence embraced the warm feeling. Nothing seemed to be hurting him--he felt happy and content, and he tried to project that to the others. |
*I should have expected that it was you who pushed for it but was it you or William that remembered it?* opening his eyes they seemed to glow a bright lush green.
~that would be me sir~ William said quickly before Tzal could take the blame. *well then boys since you have disobeyed me then I will all of you after you last class and you will learn something from this.* tuning slightly so that it seemed he was changing the person he was looking at Angelo spoke again. *Lawrence I do not feel that you would have agreed to this had you know what was going on and I also feel that you were not meant to join it. There for you do not have to come if you don’t want to.* he turned back to look where he saw William. *now you should look outside of the grounds for him, and you might use what is in the sky to hold him till someone comes to deal with him.* and with that he turned his attention to the class that was sitting there waiting for him. |
Tzal grumbled. He would take the blame right along with William, of course. ~...Let's look outside. We should try places that aren't near the school or are very well-hidden. I will share half of the blame. Don't worry.~
Lawrence timidly attempted to speak, but was immediately swatted away by something he couldn't identify. Surprisingly enough, he wasn't the only one who felt pain. ~...Ouch.~ Tzalmon blinked, then remembered something. ~Oh, that's right. My powers and whatever his are, yet to be determined, clash. I sensed this when I first tried to figure out his powers. It's why I couldn't teach him. My presence in this seems to be what's preventing him from speaking.~ |
~ah then for right now Lawrence don’t try to talk. If we’re stuck with this connection I will find a way to make it so your equal, and both able to talk.~ William pushed them out into the grounds then out to the edges of the school lands. Wrapping himself tighter to protected Lawrence from the pain Josh sighed. ~what did he mean by using what’s in the sky?~ Josh’s thought of the question brought the answer to all of them. They could feel the storm like a warm tingle blanket. ~oh!~~yah he meant the storm.~ then they heard it, a young man’s thoughts.
they can’t find me, no one has this range. I made sure of it, but dang it I should have made sure that there was not going to be a storm today. the image cleared and they were right beside same as he stood on the corner of the street trying to find someone. where is he? If he does not come soon someone will see me out here and remember. Damn is it getting colder? |
~Ah...there he is. I don't think we'll get out there in time to beat whoever he's trying to meet. Do you want to ask Professor Angelo to get him? I don't have the power of teleportation and neither does William, but I'm pretty sure the professor does.~
Lawrence was able to stay snugly wrapped around Josh's protection. He didn't make the mistake of trying to speak again. |
~you forgot dear heart, the professor said to use what was in the sky to keep him here. And I intend to do just that!~ William voice sounded full of malice as they could feel him pulling the storm near to them.
oh great just my luck, some stupid wannabe x-men is playing storm. pulling his coat tighter and tired to find some shelter nearby where he could see the road. Suddenly lighting lashed down in front of him. Sam Yelped and jumped back only to find the next one inches from his backside. As he turned to escape another one lanced down, ever where he turned another one stuck. ~do you think me wrong to do this?~ William calmly asked the rest of the group. All feelings were gone from his voice and as a whole they did not feel anything. They were just there. |
~No, the punk deserves it. But I am going to need a very large umbrella when we go out in case it starts raining.~ Tzalmon abhorred rain. He hated seeing it and he hated going out in it. He didn't exactly know why, but he had hated it ever since he was small.
Lawrence, in contrast, loved the rain. It seemed that on many levels, Tzalmon and Lawrence were complete opposites...but in other things, such as dedication to their schoolwork, they were exactly the same. |
Reaching out behind them Josh looked for some one that could help get this guy. For a second they seemed to be in two places at one. Then they became two different parts of a whole. While Josh could actually see where he and Lawrence were, William had to rely on the weather to create a view of what was going on. Reaching up William told the rain to fall; he would risk his books getting damage to catch this guy.
~what happen? Where are you Josh?~ reaching out he William could feel the other part of the whole back there in the school. The rains begin to fall showing them an interesting view of what was going on. (kind of like what Daredevil sees when the rain fell on Electra) ~ in the school looking for some help.~ Rushing through the school josh ruled out any of the teachers that had a class. ~Lawrence is there any teacher you think would hear us and be able to help?~ he hoped that now that he was not completely in contact with tzal he could talk. |
Tzal grumbled softly when he felt rain falling. ~Please, no rain...make it stop raining...~ Rain also made him feel quite weak. ~We can keep him there without rain...~
Lawrence really didn't want to try speaking. He kept quiet. Instead, he hoped Josh would just find the strongest teacher in the school, physically, to help rein Sam in. The gym teacher. |
~sorry love, without Josh here I don’t trust not being able to see him. he could get away. Any whys it is not raining on you. We are all back inside the school.~ William said as he let out another round of lighting around Sam. ~if you got any better ideas I am all ears on how to keep him.~
~alright you won’t talk to me, don’t blame you, how about we try this.~ stopping in the middle of a hall josh made it so they could see clearly in one direction. ~become warmer in the direction you want me to go. That should not be too hard and it should not hurt you. ~ josh hoped that his idea would work for getting him to where they needed to go. |
Tzalmon continued to grumble. Despite his high IQ and overall maturity, he was indeed still a child and he had some childish tendencies. Getting his way was one of these.
Lawrence very easily took control, here. He began to lead Josh towards the gym, which was close to the entrance. The gym teacher was a powerful man--he did not get physically tired. Only mentally--this was his power. |
~Hope they hurry back this storm is coming to an end soon.~ William wished that he could see like josh could. It was fine that he could feel everything with the wind and weather, but he kind of would have liked to have some sight. ~can you hear them? It is getting harder to use more than one gift here.~
Fallowing where Lawrence lead josh tried to understand what this paring meant for the four of them. At that moment the bell rang. ~um, you sure we’re going to be able to get who you want? I would hate for us to get there and not be able to do anything.~ |
Tzalmon sighed, not liking having to feel this weather. He would need some relaxation after this. Rain tired him out.
Lawrence kept on leading him until they reached the gym, where the class before them was just letting out. He knew the teacher had no class right now. |
